Work Text:

Caitlyn usually felt uncomfortable whenever she introduced herself as a Kiramman. She knew her family had done some good, but also some bad. She herself wasn't proud of everything she’d done in the past.

The weight of the Kiramman name always felt heavy. As the heir of the Kiramman House, she knew she needed to uphold a certain image ever since she was a child. And that was too much to bear for a young girl.

Growing up, all she wanted to be was Caitlyn . Not the Kiramman princess, not the Kiramman girl. Just Caitlyn, the girl, the woman who just wanted to help and make a name for herself.

The title of Leader of House Kiramman was too heavy for a young woman in her early twenties. But fate, it seemed, had too much fun playing with her life.

That wasn’t to say Caitlyn wasn’t grateful for a lot of things in her life. She was grateful to be privileged enough to be shielded from the horrors of the real world for as long as she was. Grateful her family had enough money to the point her grandchildren’s grandchildren didn’t have to worry about that factor. She realized it too late, but she was grateful for her mother and father, who only wanted to protect her.

Most of all, she was grateful to share the Kiramman name with Vi.

When Caitlyn proposed a year ago, it was one of her biggest concerns. She knew Zaunites didn't have last names because of the horrible conditions they had to survive in. She worried, since Vi went through her whole life without it, she wouldn't be comfortable taking Caitlyn’s last name.

She’d have understood if Vi chose not to, she couldn't have blamed her. But when Vi signed their marriage license as Violet Kiramman, a wave of warmth ran through her body. As if that was the piece in her life she didn't know she was missing.

And now, she heard it whenever they were working. Mostly, from her wife herself, teasing the sheriff.

“Deputy Kiramman, reporting for duty!” Vi had a playful smirk on her face. She knew Caitlyn loved hearing her refer to herself as a Kiramman.

With work keeping them busy, Vi tried to get her to blush every chance she had.

Today was no different.

“Violet,” Caitlyn sighed. “We came to work together. I know you're on duty.”

Sometimes, Vi’s new last name came from less important figures. Because of their social standing, they needed to attend galas. She tried to let Vi off the hook as much as possible - knowing she hated attending those functions - but sometimes, it was unavoidable.

“Ah! Mrs. Kiramman, lovely for you to accompany the Sheriff on this fine evening.” Caitlyn, in her defense, remembered the names of everyone she'd encountered in these events. But for the life of her, she couldn't remember this man’s name.

“Of course,” Vi said, her tone preemptively warning Caitlyn for what she’s about to say. “Didn’t want to miss another round of overpriced wine and okay food.”

The man sputtered, and Caitlyn immediately bid him farewell, dragging her wife to the balcony.

“You couldn't wait until everyone was too drunk to remember anything?” she teased, keeping her tone light to remind Vi she wasn't being reprimanded.

Once they reached the balcony, her wife shrugged. “I think everyone knows I hate going to these parties by now. No need to pretend.”

Caitlyn reached up to brush the hair that fell on Vi’s eye. “You never need to pretend, darling. Not with me.”

The only time she hated hearing the Kiramman name connected to Vi was when she received a missive from the hospital. Which happened far too often for her liking.

A knock sounded before the door to Caitlyn’s office opened. She looked up from the file she was reading and saw Steb in the doorway. A sheet of paper in his hand and his face slightly twisted from the wince he wore.

She sighed before holding out a hand, where Steb deposited the letter and waited for further instructions.

Sheriff Kiramman,

Deputy Violet Kiramman was unfortunately injured during a recent mission and has been taken to the emergency room. At the time this was written, your wife was being treated. While she insisted there was no need to alert you of the situation yet, it is in our protocol to send a missive to each patient’s emergency contact.

She should be discharged soon should you wish to pick her up.

Regards,

Piltover General Hospital - Emergency Room

Caitlyn closed her eyes before turning to Steb. “There shouldn't be anything urgent for today. I’ll head over to the hospital to bring Vi home. Just let me know if I’m needed with anything.”

Steb nodded, and Caitlyn headed straight to the hospital.

Meanwhile, Caitlyn’s favorite was whenever she said Vi’s name, and she tried to say it at least once every single day.

Today, it was before they settled into bed. Sweat covered their naked bodies as they frantically kissed. Caitlyn pushed Vi back into the bed, her wife’s body bouncing from the force.

“A bit excited today, Cupcake?” Despite panting, Vi still wore a cocky smirk on her face.

Caitlyn rolled her eyes. The entire day, Vi had been teasing her. Subtle touches here and there, whispering nonsense at random times, she even nibbled on the sensitive skin at the back of Caitlyn’s ear.

“You’re one to talk, Violet.” Caitlyn saw how excited Vi was even as she stood at the foot of their bed. Vi’s center was drenched with her arousal.

She crawled above her wife’s body until her mouth reached her ear. “What do you say, Mrs. Kiramman? How many am I giving you today?”

Afterwards, though, Vi managed to surprise her. They were cuddling, her wife’s wide back warm against Caitlyn’s chest.

“Hey, Cait?” Vi whispered, as if she were afraid someone else would hear her.

“Yes, my love?”

“What would you think if I told you I’d want a little Lavender Kiramman one day?”

Her arms around Vi stiffened before she relaxed again. She nuzzled against the back of her pink-haired woman’s neck and softly planted a kiss.

“I’d say I’d love to.”

Caitlyn realized then that she had a new favorite.

It was the mere thought that whenever people talked about the Kirammans, it was about Caitlyn, Violet, and Lavender Kiramman as a family.
