Work Text:
Jisung sat hunched over his desk in the studio, one hand resting on his keyboard and the other holding his phone loosely, but he wasn’t really looking at the screen. The tapping of his fingers was absent-minded, his mind still stuck on the date he’d had the night before. The whole thing had left a sour taste in his mouth that he couldn’t shake.
It had started off fine. He met the alpha a couple of times now, and every interaction felt effortless at first. The conversations flowed, the chemistry was undeniable. It wasn’t like Jisung hadn’t felt drawn to him—he had. The alpha was charming, good-looking, confident… but something had shifted at the end of the night.
He remembered the way the alpha had smiled, his hand brushing Jisung’s arm as they stood outside the restaurant. The words that followed still echoed in Jisung’s ears, making his skin prickle uncomfortably.
“Jisung,” the alpha had said, voice low and smooth, “You don’t need to work anymore, you know. Once we’re bonded, you won’t have to do anything. I can take care of you. You can stay home, be the perfect omega. Let me be the one who handles everything.”
Jisung had felt a knot form in his stomach as the alpha’s eyes softened, scanning him with a look of possessiveness that made his heart race in the wrong way. It wasn’t the intimacy that bothered him—it was the assumption. The alpha seemed to believe that, just because he was an alpha, he could decide what Jisung’s life would be like.
And then there was the comment about the scent. The alpha had leaned in, inhaling deeply, almost like he was savouring the moment. “I can already smell it on you, Jisung. You want me. You can’t hide it.”
That had been the breaking point. Jisung wasn’t just an omega. He wasn’t just some fragile, docile thing to be taken care of, or to be forced into a role he didn’t want. He had worked hard for everything he had, including his independence, and he wasn’t about to let anyone take that away from him, no matter how charming or attractive they were.
He couldn’t believe he’d let himself get swept into the idea that this was what being an omega meant. He wasn’t like that. He didn’t want someone who saw him as someone to be owned, someone to be “cared for” like a pet or some fragile, helpless thing.
And so, he left. He hadn’t even responded to the alpha’s attempts to change his mind, simply walking away and letting the night dissolve into awkward silence.
Back in the studio, his friends weren’t sure how to read him. Changbin was seated across the table, jotting down some lyrics for their next project. Chan was sitting next to him, scrolling through some new mixes, but both of them kept glancing at Jisung, who hadn’t moved from his seat.
It was clear to them that something was off.
Changbin was the first to speak up, the beta’s voice light but filled with the curiosity that made him impossible to ignore. “Hey, what’s up with you? You’ve been super quiet today. Did something happen?”
Jisung shook his head, but the tightness around his eyes gave him away. He sighed, feeling the weight of the frustration bubble up in his chest. “I had a date last night,” he muttered, finally breaking the silence.
Chan looked up from his work, raising an eyebrow. “And?”
Jisung’s eyes flicked to him, frustration spilling out of his voice. “It went fine, at first. But then… he just started talking about how I wouldn’t need to work anymore once we’re bonded, how I’d be ‘taken care of’ as an omega.”
Changbin frowned, clearly sensing where this was headed. “Was he trying to make you feel comfortable or something?”
Jisung’s eyes darkened, and he shook his head, his words coming out sharper than he intended. “It wasn’t like that. It wasn’t about comfort. He just assumed. He was treating me like… like I’m just some omega who doesn’t need to have a career, who doesn’t need to do anything except be taken care of. He even said he could smell it on me—that I wanted him.”
There was a beat of silence as the room processed his words. Chan’s expression softened, and he leaned back, his arms crossed.
“That’s... not okay,” Chan said slowly, his voice firm. “I get that he’s an alpha and he thinks he’s doing what alphas do, but you’re not just some omega who’s supposed to sit back and be looked after. You’ve built your life, Jisung. You’ve worked hard for everything you’ve achieved.” Even though Chan was an alpha, he was known for his progressive views. In fact, that was part of the reason Jisung felt comfortable around him. Chan was kind and thoughtful, always more interested in equality than hierarchy.
Changbin nodded, a frown tugging at his lips. “Yeah, man, no one should ever make you feel like you’re just some accessory to their life. You’re not some omega trophy that needs to be ‘claimed’ or ‘taken care of.’ You’re your own person.”
Jisung’s shoulders dropped as he exhaled deeply, finally feeling some relief that they understood. “It just pissed me off, you know? Like, what am I supposed to do with that? I don’t need an alpha to come in and decide how my life should go. I’m not some… submissive omega. I don’t want that.”
Chan leaned forward, his eyes soft but serious. “I get it. You’ve always been independent. You don’t want someone to own you. And you shouldn’t have to explain that to anyone. That’s your choice.”
Jisung nodded, his hand gripping his phone tightly. “Yeah. But sometimes it just feels like that’s all people see me as. That I’m just an omega. And it feels like I have to prove I’m more than that, like I have to fight against some idea of what an omega is supposed to be.”
Changbin leaned forward, giving him a warm, reassuring look. “You don’t have to prove anything to anyone, Jisung. You’re enough. No matter what anyone says. And anyone who makes you feel like you’re not? They don’t deserve to be in your life.”
Jisung let out a breath he didn’t realize he’d been holding, feeling some of the tension in his shoulders ease. He appreciated the support from his friends. But still, the words from the alpha lingered in his mind, like an unwanted echo he couldn’t shake.
“I just... I don’t know,” Jisung murmured, shaking his head. “I don’t think I want to meet anyone like that again. It just feels wrong, you know?”
Chan placed a hand on his shoulder, a gesture of solidarity. “If it feels wrong, it probably is. You don’t have to settle for anything you’re not comfortable with.”
Changbin grinned, trying to lighten the mood again. “That’s right! No more dates with alphas who think they can put you in a box. You deserve someone who sees you for you, Jisung.”
Jisung let out a small laugh, grateful for their support. “Thanks, guys. I guess I just needed to vent.”
As Jisung sat back in his chair, a wave of relief washed over him. He still wasn’t sure how to deal with the feeling of being objectified as an omega, but at least he knew his friends understood.
Jisung ran a hand through his hair, sighing deeply as he sank further into his chair. His friends were still processing what he’d shared, but Chan’s voice cut through the silence with a dry humour that was always present when he got worked up about something.
“You’re not like them, Chan,” Jisung said quietly, his fingers fiddling with the edge of his phone. “I don’t know what’s wrong with people like that, who think being an omega means you’re just… there to be taken care of. But I guess I’m just really sick of feeling like I’m only worth something because of my scent or whatever. Like, it’s not enough that I’m independent or that I’ve worked hard to be where I am.”
Chan’s gaze softened, and he leaned forward, resting his elbows on the table as he looked at Jisung with an intensity that was rare for him. “You’re right, Jisung. It’s not enough. You’re more than just your scent, your status as an omega, or whatever people expect of you. I’ve never believed that just because I’m an alpha, I get to dictate anyone’s life or make someone feel like they have to rely on me. That’s not what being an alpha is supposed to be about. At least, not for me.”
Changbin shot him a surprised look. “Wait, are you saying you don’t think alphas should take care of their mates or omegas?”
Chan shook his head, giving Changbin a small smile. “No, it’s not that. I think it’s natural to want to protect someone you care about. But there’s a difference between wanting to care for someone and trying to control them. I’ve never seen myself as someone who has to ‘take charge’ just because I’m an alpha. It’s all about respect and understanding. If someone doesn’t respect who you are and what you’ve worked for, then they don’t deserve your time, omega or not.”
Jisung’s heart swelled a little at Chan’s words. It was rare that, especially an alpha, had acknowledged that his independence and hard work mattered just as much as his omega status. It felt like a validation he didn’t even know he needed.
“Thanks, Chan-hyung,” Jisung said softly, a small, grateful smile tugging at his lips. “I guess that’s part of why I’m so hesitant with dating apps,” he muttered, absently tapping his phone. “It’s all so... transactional. I don’t even know if I’m supposed to be looking for something serious, or if it’s just about the scent, or the bond, or whatever.”
“Yeah, I get that,” Chan said, his tone a little lighter now. “A lot of those apps just encourage people to treat each other like objects. That’s why I’m not big on them either. But at the end of the day, it’s about finding someone who respects you, Jisung. Not just the idea of an omega, but you.”
Jisung sighed, still staring at his phone. “It’s just so hard, you know? I’m too anxious to just go up to someone in person and talk to them. I’m not like you, Hyung. You make it look easy.”
Changbin grinned, already picking up on where this was going. “You know, Jisung, you don’t have to meet someone just like that. But you could go out tonight and meet a few new people, no pressure. Just have some fun. Get out of your head for a bit.”
Jisung’s eyes widened. “A club?”
“Yeah!” Changbin’s grin grew wider. “I’ve got a few friends who are heading out tonight. We could go, hang out, and meet some people in a low-key way. No one’s going to push you into anything, I promise. It’ll just be fun.”
Jisung looked at him with a raised eyebrow, his stomach already flipping at the thought. “A club? I don’t know. That sounds... like a lot.”
“Come on, you’ve been cooped up in here too long,” Changbin insisted. “And you’re not the only one who’s nervous about meeting people. Besides, you’ll be with us the whole time. We’ll make sure it’s easy for you.”
Chan leaned back in his chair, his voice calming. “It could be good for you, Jisung. You’re not going there to find a mate or anything serious. Just to have a good time. Take your mind off things.”
Jisung hesitated, his eyes flicking between the two of them. The thought of going to a crowded, loud place still made his chest tighten, but something about the way Chan spoke made him reconsider. Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad. Maybe he needed to just let go for a night.
“I don’t know…” Jisung started, but before he could finish, Changbin raised a hand.
“Think about it this way: you get to relax, you get to enjoy the night, and if you don’t like it, you can leave. Simple as that. No strings attached.”
Jisung bit his lip, then glanced at Chan, who nodded encouragingly.
“Alright, alright. I’ll go. But only because you two won’t leave me alone about it.” He sighed, feeling a mix of relief and apprehension. “But I swear, if anyone tries to push me into something I’m not comfortable with, I’m out of there.”
“Deal,” Changbin said immediately, grinning.
Chan chuckled softly. “I’m sure you’ll be just fine. And who knows? You might end up having some fun.”
Jisung took a deep breath, already mentally preparing himself for the night ahead. Maybe it wouldn’t
Jisung stood in front of his mirror, adjusting his shirt and making sure his eyeliner was perfect. His outfit was stylish but not over the top, a mix of comfort and chicness. A soft white shirt, a sleek black jacket, and dark jeans paired with boots that gave him just enough height. He'd gone a little overboard with the makeup, but he didn’t mind—it felt good to look good. It felt like a small act of rebellion against the expectations people had of him as an omega. He was more than just a face or a scent.
He glanced at the clock—he was running a bit late, but at least he felt ready to face the night. He took a deep breath before grabbing his phone, sending one last text to Changbin.
On my way. Please don’t drag me into anything weird.
Changbin’s response came almost immediately.
I’m not making promises. You’re gonna have fun, Jisung. I know it!
Jisung shook his head and laughed, putting his phone in his pocket. He stepped out of his apartment, locking the door behind him, and headed toward the club where his friends were waiting.
The club was already buzzing with energy when Jisung arrived. Music pulsed through the walls, and the bright neon lights created a flickering glow against the darkened street. Jisung could feel the tension in his shoulders build again, but when he spotted Changbin leaning against the club’s entrance, flashing a grin that could melt anyone's nerves, he relaxed slightly.
“You made it!” Changbin greeted him, his eyes sparkling with excitement. He was practically vibrating with energy, and Jisung could already tell he was looking forward to seeing someone. “You look great, by the way.”
“Thanks,” Jisung muttered, smoothing down the front of his jacket. He felt a little out of place but pushed the feeling down.
Changbin gave him a reassuring pat on the back, his attention already shifting toward the entrance. “Hyunjin’s already inside.”
Jisung raised an eyebrow. Changbin has been catching up with Hyunjin and some of their friends lately and Jisung didn’t have the chance to meet them all of them yet. But the way Changbin talked about Hyunjin… “What, do you have a crush on him or something?”
Changbin froze for a moment, the smile on his face faltering just slightly before he cleared his throat and shrugged nonchalantly. “What? Me? Nah, no crush. He’s just fun to be around,” he said, his voice a little too casual.
Jisung eyed him sceptically. “Uh-huh, sure,” he said, with a knowing smile.
Changbin laughed awkwardly and quickly led the way inside, clearly trying to avoid diving deeper into the topic. “I think I see him!” he said, pointing toward the bar.
Jisung’s eyes followed his finger, and he immediately spotted Hyunjin—an omega with smooth brown hair and a mischievous glint in his eye. He was standing next to Felix, who seemed to be effortlessly chatting with Innie and Seungmin.
“Hey!” Hyunjin shouted as soon as he saw them, grinning widely. He was a bit clumsy, tripping over his feet as he tried to make his way over but somehow managing to keep his balance. “I didn’t know you were bringing your friend tonight!”
Changbin chuckled and immediately stepped forward to greet him. “Of course! Jisung, this is Hyunjin. Hyunjin, this is Jisung.”
Jisung gave a shy wave, smiling as Hyunjin took his hand and shook it with a little too much enthusiasm.
“I’m so glad you came, Jisung! Changbin’s told me so much about you. You’re the producer, right?”
“That’s me,” Jisung replied with a grin. “Nice to meet you.”
Hyunjin’s grin was infectious, and Jisung felt himself loosening up a little. Hyunjin was funny, clumsy in a charming way, and had this warm, easy-going energy that made Jisung feel comfortable almost instantly. They didn’t linger on formalities, and the conversation flowed easily between them.
“And you already know Innie and Seungmin, right?” Hyunjin asked, gesturing to the other two standing nearby.
Jisung turned to see Seungmin and Innie laughing together. Innie, the ever-sweet vocalist, was leaning in to whisper something to Seungmin, who was trying his best to keep a straight face. They looked like they were having a blast already.
Innie waved enthusiastically when he saw Jisung. “Hey, Jisung-hyung! You finally made it!”
Seungmin gave him a mock glare, pretending to be annoyed. “You took long enough.”
Jisung chuckled and shrugged, giving them both a quick hug. “Sorry. Got caught up in my own head.”
Felix, who was standing nearby, quickly stepped forward, his bright smile lighting up the whole space. “Hey, hey! You must be Jisung!” He gave Jisung a tight hug, his energy radiating warmth. “I’ve heard so much about you!”
“Nice to meet you, Felix,” Jisung said, a little surprised by how easily Felix’s radiance pulled him in. The omega’s energy was open, kind, and inviting.
“Same here! Changbin’s told me all about 3RATCHA. I love your music. Seriously.” Felix’s voice was lively and infectious.
“Thanks, Felix,” Jisung replied, feeling the sincerity in the compliment.
But just as the conversation was starting to pick up, Jisung noticed someone at the edge of the group—a figure standing a little apart from the rest. Minho, who had been leaning against the wall, observing the group, finally pushed off from his spot and made his way over.
“Minho-hyung!” Hyunjin greeted him warmly. “Come join us!”
Minho nodded, his expression somewhat distant as he approached. Jisung felt a little awkward under his gaze but also relieved. Minho wasn’t flirty like the others, which, to Jisung, was almost refreshing.
Minho gave a polite nod to Jisung, his voice calm but measured. “Nice to meet you, Jisung.”
“Nice to meet you too,” Jisung replied, offering a smile.
Minho’s presence was different from the others. There was something reserved about him, almost as if he was constantly observing, but not in a way that made Jisung uncomfortable. There was no pressure. No push.
At that moment, Jisung felt a gentle tap on his shoulder, and he turned to see Chan standing behind him with a drink in hand.
“Chan-hyung!” Jisung exclaimed, offering a smile. “I didn’t know you were coming!”
Chan grinned, his usual easy-going demeanour present as always. “I like to surprise people,” he said, handing Jisung a drink. “You guys are having fun, right?”
“Yeah,” Jisung replied, his gaze flicking toward Minho for a moment before back to Chan. “It’s actually not as bad as I thought. Everyone’s really nice.”
“I’m glad to hear that,” Chan said, his voice warm. “The night’s just getting started. Let’s make it even better!”
The group started chatting again, with Felix and Hyunjin pulling Jisung into their banter. Seungmin and Innie were talking about their latest vocal lessons, and Changbin was keeping a close eye on Hyunjin, not quite able to hide his affection.
As the night went on, the group made their way to the bar, ordering drinks and chatting about random things. The music was still pounding in the background, and Jisung found himself feeling more at ease as the alcohol started to loosen his nerves.
“Let’s go dance!” Changbin suggested, pulling Jisung by the arm. “I swear, the dance floor is where all the fun happens.”
Jisung hesitated for a moment but then followed, smiling at the thought of just letting loose. Hyunjin and Felix were already pulling him toward the centre of the floor, laughing and cheering as they started to dance together. Even Minho, who had been quiet all night, seemed to loosen up and moved to the beat in a subtle, confident way that caught Jisung’s attention.
The group fell into rhythm as they danced together, laughing and enjoying the night. Jisung felt the weight of his worries slowly lift with every beat of the music. There was no pressure to meet anyone’s expectations. No expectations at all, really. It was just the music, his friends, and the feeling of being truly free.
The studio was a familiar comfort to Jisung. The low hum of the computers, the constant buzz of creativity in the air—this was where he thrived. He was at the soundboard, headphones on, adjusting levels, making sure everything was perfect for the track they were working on. Beside him, Changbin and Chan were hashing out ideas, each adding their own flair to the beat, while Innie and Seungmin were in the vocal booth, running through the lyrics.
Jisung couldn’t help but smile as he watched Seungmin belt out a high note, while Innie harmonized smoothly alongside him. The two had been working together for months now, and their voices were becoming an increasingly perfect match. Jisung adjusted a few more settings, making the mix sound just right, before turning to Chan and Changbin.
"Sounds good, right?" Jisung asked, tapping his fingers on the table as he surveyed the room.
"Perfect," Chan replied, giving him a thumbs up. "This one's going to be a hit."
"I agree," Changbin added, leaning back in his chair, looking satisfied with their progress. "You guys are killing it today."
Innie and Seungmin finished their run-through, stepping out of the booth. Innie immediately made his way to Jisung, patting him on the back.
"Hyung, you nailed the mix as usual!" Innie grinned, his voice full of warmth and gratitude.
Jisung felt his cheeks flush slightly but smiled nonetheless. "Thanks, Innie. Glad it’s coming together. You and Seungmin were perfect as always."
Seungmin, ever the tease, joined in. "We know. You’re welcome for our flawless performance."
Innie rolled his eyes but laughed. "Don’t listen to him. You made us sound even better."
Jisung laughed and shook his head, grateful for the support. Even though he was still getting used to working with Seungmin and Innie, they felt like family. It was easy to see how well they fit with 3RATCHA. They were all so passionate about their craft, and it made the whole process feel like a team effort, rather than just a business transaction.
"Okay, okay," Jisung said, waving his hands as if to dismiss them. "Let’s get back to work before I start blushing too much."
But before anyone could say anything else, Changbin suddenly burst out, his eyes gleaming with excitement.
"Tonight’s going to be amazing, guys!" he said, practically vibrating with enthusiasm.
Jisung blinked in confusion.
"Well," Changbin said, leaning forward with a mischievous grin, "it’s my birthday party, of course!"
Jisung’s eyes widened. "Wait, that’s today?"
Changbin nodded, looking far too pleased with himself. "Yep. I’ve been planning a celebration. Karaoke, food, fun!”
Jisung felt a smile tug at his lips. "That sounds fun. And you’re inviting who, exactly?" he asked, trying to contain his curiosity.
Changbin’s grin only widened. "You know the drill, Jisung. I’m inviting all the important people. Channie-hyung, Hyunjin, Felix, Minho-hyung... Innie and Seungmin, of course. And some other friends. It’s gonna be a blast."
Jisung’s face lit up at the mention of Hyunjin and Felix. Both were omegas, and it felt nice to know that he wouldn’t be the only one navigating through the night with similar experiences. He had gotten along well with Felix, and Hyunjin was just... easy to be around. Not to mention, both of them had a kind of carefree energy that always made Jisung feel at ease.
“I’m looking forward to it,” Jisung admitted, his voice more upbeat than it had been all week. "It’s been a while since I’ve had fun with everyone."
"You better be there, Jisung," Changbin added with a playful warning. "It’s going to be a party, and you’re not going to want to miss it."
"I knooooow…”, Jisung said, his smile genuine. "I’ll be there."
"Great!" Changbin clapped his hands together. "I’m so excited. And don't worry, I’ve got a whole spread of food planned. We’re not skimping out on anything."
Jisung was already feeling more relaxed, the excitement in Changbin’s voice contagious. His earlier frustrations about dating, about the assumptions others had made about him, seemed to be fading away. The idea of spending time with his friends, laughing and enjoying each other’s company, felt like exactly what he needed.
"Well, I’m glad you’re looking forward to it, Changbin-hyung," Seungmin said, dropping his mic from the vocal booth. "We’ll make sure to warm up our voices for the karaoke."
Innie added with a grin, "And we’ll make sure to pick out some bangers for you to sing, Changbin-hyung. No excuses."
Changbin threw his head back, laughing. "You guys are going to make me sing? I knew I should’ve picked a different birthday activity."
Jisung smiled, shaking his head. "You’re stuck with it now, Changbin-hyung."
Just as they were wrapping up the conversation, Chan—who had been quietly listening and watching the interactions—spoke up from his spot nearby.
"I can’t believe you’re this excited about your own birthday, Changbin," Chan said with a chuckle. He had been sitting off to the side, but now he stood up, clearly amused.
Everyone shared a laugh, the atmosphere in the studio light and fun. Even though work was still waiting for them, the vibe was good—so good that Jisung almost didn’t want to leave for the day.
But the idea of celebrating Changbin’s birthday later that night, surrounded by friends and good food, made him feel like he was truly part of something.
Jisung stood outside Changbin’s building, hugging his coat tighter around himself, excitement buzzing in his chest. The box in his hand—a sleek, gift-wrapped package with matte black paper and a silver bow—contained a pair of high-end earphones he and Chan had chipped in for together.
When Chan joined him at the door, dressed in his usual laid-back but effortlessly stylish outfit, he grinned. “You ready, Jisung-ah?”
Jisung nodded, shifting the gift to one arm. “I’ve been looking forward to this all day.”
“Good. I think we all have,” Chan said with a smile, clapping him on the back before ringing the bell.
The door swung open to reveal Changbin, already beaming with excitement, wearing a loose black tee with a silver chain and slightly mussed hair. The scent of food and laughter already filled the hallway behind him.
“You made it!” Changbin pulled them both into a hug. “Come in, come in!”
Inside the apartment, the mood was warm and buzzing—low lights, music playing in the background, and the comforting smell of Tteokbokki, fried chicken, and a big cake waiting on the counter.
Jisung immediately spotted Felix and Hyunjin curled into one end of the couch, talking and laughing, both with plates balanced on their knees. Seungmin and Innie were setting up the karaoke machine in the corner, arguing over who was going to sing first. And at the kitchen counter, pouring drinks with effortless cool, stood Minho.
“Hyung,” Jisung said softly to Chan as they headed in, “he’s here.”
Chan followed his gaze and smiled. “Minho doesn’t miss things like this. You’ll get to know him better tonight.”
“Mm,” Jisung replied noncommittally, unsure whether the flutter in his chest was nervousness or curiosity.
They gave Changbin his gift—he reacted with full dramatic flair, clutching the earphones to his chest like they were made of gold and immediately threatening to cry. “You guys are the best,” he said, throwing his arms around them. “These are perfect. I’m using them the second everyone leaves.”
Jisung laughed, tension easing in his shoulders.
He’d just finished a few bites of food when Felix plopped down next to him, eyes bright and curious. “So,” he said, voice sing-songy and grin mischievous, “are you seeing anyone?”
Jisung choked slightly on a piece of rice cake, clearing his throat with a half-laugh. “Wha—no. I mean, no, not really. I tried... but it didn’t go well.”
Hyunjin, who had joined them on the floor with a soft blanket around his shoulders, raised an eyebrow. “What happened?”
Jisung hesitated, then let out a sigh. “It was going great, I thought. The guy was smart, charming, funny. We met up a few times. But then last night he said—” he paused, frowning. “He said I should come home with him because he could smell how much I wanted him. And then he started talking about how, once I bond, I won’t need to work anymore. That he’d take care of everything.”
Felix’s face scrunched up in instant distaste. “Ew. That’s... gross. I’m sorry.”
Jisung nodded. “Yeah. It made me feel small, like I was just a... role. Not a person.”
“Some alphas are like that,” Hyunjin said softly, his tone knowing. “They think being an omega means we should fall into line or something.”
Felix scooted closer and wrapped his arms around Jisung tightly. “You're not wrong for wanting more. You deserve more.”
The hug helped. So did the quiet strength in Felix’s voice. Jisung let himself sink into it for a second, grateful.
From the corner of his eye, he noticed Minho talking with Changbin, laughing lightly at something. And even though Minho hadn’t said a word to him yet, when Jisung stood up to go get a drink, Minho moved to intercept him at the kitchen.
“Are you looking for something?” Minho asked. His tone was polite but flat, expression unreadable.
“Just something to drink,” Jisung replied quickly.
Minho nodded. “Do you want something with alcohol?”
“Not really.”
Without another word, Minho pulled a cold bottle of sparkling peach soda from the fridge, popped the cap, and handed it over without fanfare.
“Thanks, Minho-ssi,” Jisung said, instinctively bowing a little.
Minho looked at him for a moment—longer than felt necessary—and then, almost casually, said, “You can call me hyung. If you want.”
Jisung blinked, caught off guard. “Oh. Uh... sure. Thanks.”
Minho gave him the smallest of nods before turning away again, already chatting with Chan as if nothing had happened.
Back on the couch, Felix watched the exchange like a hawk. The moment Minho was out of earshot, he leaned toward Jisung, whispering like they were gossiping in high school.
“He likes you.”
Jisung turned red. “What? No, he’s just polite.”
Felix grinned knowingly. “Minho-hyung is polite... to everyone. But not like that. Or offer hyung to omegas unless he feels like it’s earned.”
“That wasn’t exactly friendly,” Jisung muttered, sipping his soda.
“It was Minho-hyung friendly,” Felix said, elbowing him playfully. “Trust me, that’s how he flirts.”
“Then how does anyone find out?” Jisung asked dryly.
“No one does,” Felix replied with a giggle. “That’s the thing.”
Changbin stood centre stage—well, centre rug—with a mic in hand, belting out a dramatic ballad and putting his entire soul into it. Everyone cheered him on, even as his voice cracked with emotion and exaggerated vibrato.
Jisung was curled on the couch between Felix and Hyunjin, soda in one hand, the other covering his mouth as he laughed. He felt good. The kind of good that comes after a long, hard stretch of discomfort—like tension finally loosening its grip on his shoulders.
“I told you he sings like a man in a drama who just found out his lover is moving to the moon,” Felix whispered, giggling into Jisung’s shoulder.
“He has no shame,” Hyunjin added, though his fond smile said otherwise.
Across the room, Chan was laughing so hard he had to wipe tears from his eyes, while Seungmin and Innie filmed the chaos, already threatening to send the footage to their group chat.
Then, during the shift between songs, Minho moved through the crowd again, this time slower. He didn't say anything—just set a fresh bottle of water on the table near Jisung’s knee. Their eyes met for a moment. There was nothing pushy in Minho’s gaze, no expectation, no judgment. Just a quiet offer.
“Thanks... hyung,” Jisung said, carefully.
Minho’s lips tugged in a ghost of a smile before he stepped back, settling on the floor near Chan. Not too close. Not too far.
And Jisung realized—Minho hadn’t tried to make conversation, hadn’t leaned in, hadn’t complimented his appearance. He’d just brought him water.
Felix leaned in again, whispering, “You’re not just imagining it.”
“I’m not used to it,” Jisung admitted, quietly. “An alpha who’s not... overwhelming.”
Felix nodded. “I get that. He’s not the easiest person to get to know, but when you do? He’s really solid.”
Jisung was quiet for a moment, sipping his drink. “He doesn’t seem to care what anyone thinks of him.”
“He does,” Hyunjin said from his other side, surprisingly serious. “He just doesn't show it. Minho-hyung’s... careful. But he’s got a soft heart. It’s just hard to see.”
Before Jisung could respond, Changbin was suddenly right in front of them, mic held out toward Jisung like a challenge. “Your turn!” he grinned, already cueing up the next song. “I picked one of your old covers, so no excuses.”
Jisung laughed despite himself and stood, wiping his palms down the side of his jeans.
As he sang, he let himself glance at Minho again. The alpha was watching—but not in the way that made Jisung shrink. There was no hunger or dominance in that gaze, just a quiet, focused presence. Like he was really listening.
When the song ended, Jisung was flushed, laughing, and breathless. He handed the mic back and returned to the couch—and without thinking, sat a little closer to where Minho was now seated with his legs folded on the floor.
Still not close enough to touch.
But close enough to stay.
The party had thinned out, the room quieter now save for the rustle of empty containers and low conversation. A few plates of uneaten snacks sat half-forgotten on the table, and someone’s abandoned hoodie hung off the back of the couch. Seungmin and Innie had already left, promising to text once they got home. Chan had passed out on the armchair like an old man, snoring faintly with a paper party hat still perched crookedly on his head.
Jisung rolled up his sleeves as he carried some dishes to the kitchen, trying not to wake Chan with the clatter.
“Here,” came a calm voice beside him.
He looked up and blinked in surprise. Minho had stepped in with an armful of glasses, moving with quiet efficiency. His expression was relaxed but unreadable, the kind of neutral that made it hard to guess what he was thinking.
“Thanks,” Jisung said, placing the dishes in the sink. “You don’t have to help, though.”
Minho shrugged. “I don’t mind.”
It threw Jisung off a little. He’d expected Minho to leave early or stay on the edges of the group until the end, not… this. Most alphas he’d known didn’t lift a finger when there were omegas around—especially not for something as unglamorous as party cleanup.
They washed dishes side by side in a companionable quiet. Jisung took care of the soapy sponge work while Minho rinsed and dried, his sleeves rolled up past his elbows, forearms pale and steady under the light.
“So…” Jisung ventured after a pause. “You’re working at the dance studio, right?”
“Yeah,” Minho replied, not missing a beat. “I’ve been teaching beginner and intermediate classes. Mostly popping, some street choreo.”
“Oh wow,” Jisung said, genuine interest brightening his voice. “I knew Hyunjin was working there, but I didn’t realize you taught too.”
Minho offered a small smile. “I’ve been doing it for a while. Helps me keep training while still paying rent.”
There was something about the way he said it that struck Jisung—practical, humble. Passionate, even if he wasn’t loud about it.
“I think that’s really cool,” Jisung admitted, glancing sideways. “Teaching, I mean. Must feel good to pass it on.”
Minho’s eyes softened a little. “It does. Watching people improve... it’s weirdly satisfying.”
Jisung nodded slowly, drying his hands on a towel. “I don’t think I’d have the patience for it.”
“You’d be surprised,” Minho murmured. “Hyunjin didn’t think he would either, and now he’s everyone’s favourite.”
That made Jisung laugh under his breath.
They moved to stack some leftovers into containers for the fridge. Minho opened one of the cabinets with ease, like he’d been over before.
“You know,” he said casually, “Hyunjin used one of your tracks a while ago.”
Jisung blinked. “Huh?”
“For a showcase. Changbin gave him some unreleased 3RACHA demos—he played me one, said it was yours. We choreographed to it.”
Jisung paused mid-motion, looking over at him. “Seriously?”
Minho nodded. “It was good. Tight layering. Interesting rhythm shifts.”
There it was again—that strange flutter in his chest. It wasn't just attaction. But… surprise. Warmth. The quiet astonishment of hearing an alpha say something kind about his work. Not his personality. Not his scent. Not how he looked.
His work.
Jisung cleared his throat. “Thanks. That means a lot, actually.”
Minho didn’t say anything else, just gave a small nod. No awkward flattery, no overstepping. Just truth.
And for the first time that night, Jisung realized he didn’t feel like he needed to keep his guard up. Not around him. Not in this moment.
Maybe that was the strangest part of all.

Jisung hadn't meant to come by the studio.
Really.
He’d been productive all day—edited vocals, sent stems to Chan-hyung, even answered emails like a functioning adult. But then a message from Felix had popped up around five:
“Jisung-ah~ I’m at the studio w/ Hyunjin & Minho-hyung if you’re bored 👀 come watch Minho-hyung practice, it’s like watching a wolf turn into a ballerina ✨ ”
Naturally, that had led to him showing up fifteen minutes later with an iced Americano in hand and no plan other than “I’m just here to hang out.”
The bass from the practice room hit his chest before he even stepped inside. He slipped through the door quietly, not wanting to disturb, and—
Oh.
There Minho was.
Loose tank top clinging to his sides with sweat, hair pinned back but still falling messily over his forehead. His movements were sharp, controlled, and completely hypnotic—like he owned gravity and time and was choosing to make both bend for him. Every beat hit perfectly, his body a blur of practiced strength and quiet passion.
Jisung stood frozen in the corner, blinking like a deer in headlights.
Felix appeared beside him, sipping bubble tea, completely unfazed. “You okay, Sungie?”
“Fine,” Jisung squeaked, not taking his eyes off Minho. “Just… observing.”
Felix hummed like he didn’t believe that for a second. “Your ears are turning red, you know.”
“Shut up.”
The track cut off, and Minho finally noticed them. He walked over, towel slung around his neck, chest still rising and falling with post-dance breath. “Hey, you came.”
His voice was calm, lightly surprised. Jisung nodded, trying to ignore the sudden flush rushing to his cheeks and the tingle crawling over his skin. Minho’s scent reached him now—cool, like winter air, grounded and steady with that distinct, subtle alpha undertone.
And Jisung’s body reacted before he could talk himself out of it. His heart stuttered, heat curling low in his stomach. The soft thrum of his own omega pheromones started to rise involuntarily, responding before his brain caught up.
No no no no no—
But if Minho noticed, he didn’t say a word. Just smiled gently and nodded toward the benches. “I’m gonna shower. Be right back.”
And then he was gone.
Jisung immediately sat down, burying his face in his hands.
“Suuuuungie,” Felix sing-songed, plopping down beside him with a big grin. “You’re so obvious, it’s adorable.”
“I’m going to evaporate,” Jisung muttered.
“No, you’re gonna go on a date.”
Jisung glared at him. “I’m not—I haven’t even—I don’t even know if he’s interested!”
Felix raised an eyebrow. “He invited you to the studio. He looked at you like you invented melody. And he didn’t even blink when your pheromones flared. That’s more than interest. That’s restraint.”
Jisung groaned.
By the time Minho returned, hair damp and clothes fresh, Jisung had recovered enough to pretend to be normal again.
“You heading home?” Minho asked casually, slinging his bag over his shoulder.
“Yeah,” Jisung replied, fiddling with his phone. “Was gonna catch the bus.”
“I’ll drive you,” Minho offered. “It’s on the way.”
Jisung looked up, slightly stunned. “Are you sure?”
Minho just nodded once, like it was no big deal. “Come on.”
The ride was quiet, easy. Minho didn’t push conversation, but he didn’t feel distant either. His music played low in the background—instrumental lo-fi, the kind that made Jisung’s mind drift in comfortable waves.
When they pulled up in front of Jisung’s building, Minho shifted into park but didn’t move to leave.
“Hey,” he said, turning to look at him, “do you wanna grab coffee sometime?”
Jisung blinked. “Like… coffee coffee?”
A faint smirk. “Yeah. With me.”
He felt his heart do that ridiculous flutter again. “Okay. Yeah. I’d like that.”
Minho smiled—just a small one, but it made something tight in Jisung’s chest unclench.
“Cool. I’ll text you.”
Jisung nodded, dazed, and only realized he hadn’t breathed until he was in the elevator, grinning like an idiot.
Jisung hadn’t expected a coffee date to feel so… easy.
Minho had picked a quiet café tucked into a side street in Hongdae, away from the usual hustle. It had soft lighting, plants hanging in the windows, and the kind of wooden furniture that creaked in a charming way. They got their drinks—iced vanilla latte for Jisung, an americano for Minho—and sat by the window.
To his surprise, Minho wasn’t the least bit awkward.
He didn’t talk over him, didn’t dominate the conversation like some alphas Jisung had dated in the past. He asked questions about Jisung’s latest project, remembered the name of a rookie vocalist he’d been producing, and even mentioned a 3RACHA track he’d had stuck in his head after using it for warm-ups at the studio.
“I’m still a little mad I didn’t get to choreograph to ’Zone’ before Hyunjin claimed it,” Minho said with a mock scowl.
Jisung laughed into his straw. “You can still do it. Yours would probably look cooler anyway.”
Minho raised an eyebrow. “Is that your way of asking me to dance for you?”
Jisung choked, ears flushing red. “That’s not—! I mean—you don’t have to, obviously—”
Minho smirked and sipped his coffee, satisfied. “Just checking.”
The teasing was gentle, but it made Jisung warm all the same. He didn't feel flustered in a bad way—just seen. Like Minho didn’t want to overpower him, but still wanted to know him.
When they got up to leave, the good mood lingered… until it was shattered.
They were passing by the café counter when two men sitting near the door—well-dressed, mid-30s, loud enough not to care who heard—caught Jisung’s ear.
“—these omegas nowadays, always so sensitive,” one said, laughing. “Trying to act independent when we all know how they’re wired.”
“Exactly,” the other one snorted. “Can’t even tell who’s presenting what anymore. If they didn’t smell like they were in heat half the time—”
Jisung froze.
The words hit like a slap. His fingers curled around his phone, the chill from his half-empty latte forgotten as a cold flush ran over his skin. His body went stiff, shoulders tight, the blood rushing in his ears louder than anything else.
He didn’t even realize he’d stopped walking until he felt a hand on his elbow.
Minho was right beside him, eyes serious but calm. “Come on,” he said softly. “Let’s go.”
He didn’t push or pull—just guided him gently out the door, holding it open, letting the air outside sweep over them like a reset.
They walked a little, silent, until they were on a quieter street. Jisung didn’t speak. Couldn’t.
“Do you want a hug?” Minho asked, his voice low, barely above the sound of the breeze.
Jisung looked up, startled. Minho wasn’t leaning in or reaching for him—just… asking. Waiting.
He nodded, once, and Minho opened his arms.
The hug was warm and careful, arms wrapping around him with steady pressure, not too tight. Minho didn’t say anything. He didn’t need to.
After a long moment, Jisung pulled back slightly but didn’t let go.
“I hate it,” he whispered, voice trembling a bit. “Being an omega sometimes. Not because I don’t like who I am, but… because people think they know what that means. Like I’m fragile. Or needy. Or should just want to be bonded and quiet.”
Minho listened.
“And I work so hard, you know? I love what I do. But I walk into a room and someone’s already made a judgment before I even speak.”
Minho nodded, quiet still, but present.
“It’s exhausting. I’m proud of who I am, but sometimes… I wish I didn’t have to defend it all the time.”
For a moment, the only sound was the hum of a nearby streetlamp and the faint music from a shop’s open door.
Then Minho said, softly, “You shouldn’t have to defend it. Not to anyone.”
Jisung blinked.
“You’re brilliant, Jisungie. And you work harder than most alphas I know. What people think—they don’t deserve your energy.”
His voice was steady. As if there was no doubt.
And Jisung felt something in his chest loosen.
“…Thanks,” he mumbled.
Minho just smiled and gently let him go. “Want me to walk you home?”
Jisung looked at him for a long moment before nodding. “Yeah. I’d like that.”
The clock on the studio wall blinked 9:47 PM, and Jisung groaned, letting his forehead thunk gently against the desk.
He’d meant to be home by nine.
The final mix on the new demo had fought him every step of the way, and Chan, who claimed he was “just checking in,” had pulled up a chair and gotten deeply involved. Changbin wasn’t even pretending to be helpful anymore—he was laid out on the couch behind them with his hoodie pulled over his face, humming lazily along to whatever Seungmin had sent him earlier.
Jisung had just closed another project file when a quiet knock sounded on the studio door.
“Are we expecting someone?” Chan asked, looking up.
Before Jisung could respond, the door creaked open—and there stood Minho, holding two white paper bags and wearing a hoodie that looked way too soft for this hour.
Jisung’s eyes lit up. “Minho-hyung?”
Minho gave him a little nod. “Felix said you were still here. Figured you’d forgotten to eat.”
Jisung straightened up immediately. “I did forget to eat.”
“Yeah,” Minho said with a small smirk. “I figured.”
He stepped in, placing the bags down gently on the desk. The warm smell of kimchi fried rice and roasted sweet potatoes filled the room.
Changbin sat up like a zombie rising from the grave. “Minho-yah. Are you trying to steal the last valuable member?”
“Yep…,” Minho replied without looking at him, passing a set of chopsticks directly to Jisung.
Chan snorted. “Wow. I’m hurt.”
“You guys have each other,” Minho said flatly, but his mouth twitched like he was holding back a smile.
Jisung opened the box and blinked. “Wait, this is from that place near the dance studio, right? The one that always sells out?”
Minho shrugged. “They keep some back for instructors.”
“You’re using your privilege on me?” Jisung teased, then immediately regretted it—was that too flirty?
Minho didn’t seem fazed. “Guess I am.”
That made Jisung’s stomach flutter harder than the spicy rice could.
The three of them ended up picking at the food together while Chan and Changbin finished tweaking one of the background layers. Jisung felt Minho beside him, not too close, but… warm. Present.
And when they packed up for the night, Jisung gathered the courage to brush his fingers against Minho’s while handing back the empty container.
It was nothing, really. Barely a touch. But Minho’s fingers lingered.
Jisung smiled—just a little—and for the first time in a while, it felt natural.
“Want to walk home?” Minho asked, voice casual.
Jisung nodded immediately. “Yeah. Let me just grab my hoodie.”
Outside, the night air was cool and still. They found a quiet spot by the river walk and occasionally brushing elbows.
The conversation drifted—funny student stories from Minho, gossip about a shared acquaintance, how Innie had fallen asleep sitting up in the studio the other day. It was easy, and Jisung found himself laughing more than he expected.
As they neared his apartment building, a gentle silence settled between them. Not awkward—comfortable.
At the door, Jisung turned to face him, unsure how to say please don’t go just yet without sounding clingy.
But Minho just looked at him, head tilted slightly, then opened his arms like he had on that street corner.
Jisung stepped in without hesitation.
The hug was longer this time. Minho held him close, one hand at the small of Jisung’s back, the other resting lightly between his shoulder blades. He smelled faintly like sweat and cinnamon, and maybe something a little sharper, more grounded—his natural scent curling subtly into Jisung’s senses.
Jisung leaned in, just a little more, cheek pressing into Minho’s shoulder. He could feel the steady rise and fall of Minho’s breathing.
And Minho didn’t let go.
He held Jisung like it mattered. Like the touch wasn’t a favour but a want.
Jisung’s fingers curled into the fabric of Minho’s hoodie. Just holding on for a second longer.
He didn’t want to move. Didn’t want to lose the warmth, or the feeling that someone had looked out for him—not because he was an omega, not because he needed protection—but because he was Han Jisung.
And Minho… wanted to be near him.
Back home, Jisung collapsed face-first into his bed, a soft little noise muffled into the blankets.
His entire body was buzzing — but not in a bad way.
It was the warmth that stayed after a hug, the phantom press of Minho’s hand against his spine, the low timbre of his voice when he said "You should eat, Jisung-ah."
No pressure. No posturing. Just quiet presence and thoughtful care.
Jisung rolled over and unlocked his phone, thumbs already flying as he opened the group chat with Felix and Hyunjin:

Bin almost fell off a chair last week because he was trying to be subtle about it
Jisung barked a laugh into the silence of his room, heart skipping.
They weren’t wrong.
Minho didn’t treat him like a delicate thing. He didn’t sidestep his job, or the music, or the way he talked too fast when he was excited about a synth line. He never commented on how Jisung “should rest more” or “shouldn’t stress so much”—he just... showed up. With food, with space, with respect.
Jisung stared at the screen for a long moment. Then he tapped out a message and hovered over the send button.
He reread it three times before hitting send.
Hanquokka | 00:42 AM
ok I’m doing it
I’m asking him over

Grinning, Jisung flipped his phone over and flopped back onto the bed, letting himself sink into the layers of plush blankets and hoodies and soft clothes. His little sanctuary.
The nest had started as accidental—just tossed jackets and throw pillows—but tonight, it felt intentional. Safe. Homey.
He curled up in the middle of it all, still wearing Minho’s scent on his sleeves, his hair messy from rubbing against his hoodie, heart a little too full.
For the first time in a long while, he didn’t feel like he had to guard himself.
He didn’t feel judged.
Or caged.
He just felt... wanted. For who he was. Quirks, nerves, ambition, chaotic layers and all.
And somewhere under the hum of it all, the warmth in his chest curled deeper.
Jisung had fluffed the same pillow for the fifth time, then turned it around like that would suddenly fix anything. The living room was clean, too clean, his nerves buzzing in the quiet, humming underneath the soft lo-fi playlist crackling from his speaker.
He checked his phone. No new messages. Then the clock. Again.
He wasn’t usually this jumpy about a date—mostly because he barely went on any. Especially not ones where the person made his heart speed up just thinking about them.
He’s just a guy, Jisung reminded himself. A very attractive, careful, thoughtful, quietly intense alpha who brings you food and listens when you talk like it matters. No big deal.
The doorbell rang.
Jisung’s heart leapt into his throat. He nearly tripped over his own feet on the way to the door, pausing just long enough to breathe in deep, then out again.
When he opened it, Minho stood on the other side, dressed simply in a black hoodie and jeans, but somehow still managing to look devastatingly good.
"I brought snacks," Minho said, holding up a paper bag. "And that strawberry milk you mentioned the other night."
Jisung blinked, a smile tugging at his lips before he could stop it. “You remembered that?”
"You talked about it like it was holy,” Minho shrugged. “Felt important.”
Jisung stepped back to let him in, heat rising in his cheeks. “Come on. Shoes off at the door unless you want to get lectured.”
Minho smirked, toeing off his sneakers. “Duly noted.”
They got comfortable on the couch, the lights dimmed, the blanket already pulled into Jisung’s lap. Minho handed over the milk like it was a peace offering and sat beside him, posture relaxed but not invasive.
The first twenty minutes were spent watching the movie, Jisung trying way too hard not to glance at him every five seconds. But slowly, the distance between them closed. He leaned a little into Minho’s side, and when Minho shifted slightly to make room, it felt like permission.
Minho’s warmth bled through the layers of his sweatshirt, steady and grounding. His unique scent—cedar and heat, something earthy and safe—floated around them, not overpowering, and Jisung felt the familiar edge of anxiety that always came near alphas… begin to soften.
He didn’t even notice it fading at first.
But as the minutes passed, the usual tightness in his chest, the guarded stiffness in his shoulders—all of it slowly unravelled, like the thread had been cut without him realizing it.
He leaned more into Minho. A soft hum escaped his throat before he could stop it.
And Minho turned his head.
Their eyes met—quiet and curious, and something else that Jisung didn’t have a name for yet. Something that made him feel seen in a way that didn't make his pulse spike in fear.
"Minho-hyung," Jisung said quietly, unsure what he was asking for. Just knowing he wanted something.
The alpha looked at him, eyes open, waiting.
So Jisung leaned forward and kissed him.
It was soft at first. Careful. Their lips met like a question—but Minho’s answer was immediate, sure, and warm. He kissed him back like he’d been waiting for Jisung to make the first move.
Jisung's hand slid to Minho’s chest, feeling the thrum of his heartbeat, anchoring himself there. The kiss deepened. He crawled into Minho’s lap without thinking, legs folded beside him, fingers threading into the hair at the back of his neck.
Minho made a low, surprised sound—but didn’t stop him.
If anything, he pulled him closer.
Heat curled low in Jisung’s belly, his body arching toward Minho’s instinctively, like something in him had finally clicked. There was no pressure here. No dominance games. Just warmth and skin and yes.
But suddenly Minho pulled back slightly, his breathing heavy, eyes still dark with want.
"Wait," he said softly, his forehead pressing against Jisung’s. "Just—wait."
Jisung froze. “Did I—was that too fast?”
Minho shook his head. "No. I just… I want to take my time with you.”
And that, somehow, hit Jisung harder than the kiss.
His chest clenched, not with fear, but something else—some soft, aching thing that threatened to overwhelm him if he let it. Because no alpha had ever said that to him. Not when things got heated. Not when they smelled how much he wanted it. Not when he was practically in their lap, asking for it.
But Minho saw him, even now. And didn’t rush.
Jisung felt his throat go tight.
“You make it really hard to go slow,” he said, voice half-breath, half-laugh, brushing his nose against Minho’s. “But I like it.”
“I like you,” Minho whispered, almost like he was scared to say it too loud. “Like this.”
Jisung’s stomach flipped. He cupped Minho’s face in both hands and kissed him again, this time softer. He didn’t need to rush. He just wanted this. The quiet burn. The reverence. The space to feel.
The soft glow of the television flickered in the background, the credits of the movie scrolling across the screen, but neither of them were paying attention.
Jisung felt like he was floating. The warmth of Minho’s body behind him, the steady thrum of his heartbeat beneath Jisung’s ear as they lay tangled in the blankets, was the only thing grounding him.
Minho’s arms were wrapped around him, one hand lightly resting on his waist, the other running through Jisung’s hair, slow and calming. Jisung couldn’t help but feel like he’d never been held like this before—like it wasn’t just physical. It was something deeper. Minho wasn’t just here with him. He was actively present.
And for the first time in a long time, Jisung didn’t feel like he had to prove himself to anyone. Didn’t have to put up walls, didn’t have to shield himself. He felt—safe.
“Hyung,” Jisung whispered softly, barely above the sound of their breathing, his fingers gently tracing the pattern of Minho’s hoodie.
Minho hummed in response, his lips brushing against the top of Jisung’s head, sending a shiver down his spine.
Jisung hesitated for a moment, unsure of how to phrase it. He wasn’t used to feeling this vulnerable, this open. But Minho had given him space. So much space.
“I—” Jisung started, then stopped himself. He let out a quiet breath. “I feel safe with you. Like… like none of the stuff people usually throw at me because of being an omega matters.”
Minho’s movements stilled for a second. He shifted, his chin resting lightly on Jisung’s head, as if contemplating his words.
“I’m glad you feel that way,” Minho murmured. His breath was warm against Jisung’s skin. “I don’t want you to feel like you’re anything less than who you are.”
Jisung’s heart clenched in his chest, a soft ache filling the space between them. It was a quiet but intense kind of comfort, the kind that felt like Minho saw him, really saw him, and still chose to stay.
Jisung’s voice came out a little softer. “I’ve never had someone make me feel like this. I mean… I’ve had people care about me before, but this—this feels like it doesn’t matter that I’m an omega. You don’t see me as just that, you know?”
Minho chuckled softly, the sound vibrating against Jisung’s scalp. He gently stroked his thumb over Jisung’s arm, sending little sparks of warmth wherever his touch lingered.
“I don’t see you as ‘just’ an omega. I see you, Jisung,” Minho said, voice low and steady. “Just you. You’re not a label. You’re not defined by your secondary gender or any of the crap people like to throw at us. You’re... you.”
A warm, dizzying feeling spread through Jisung’s chest, making him feel lighter, almost weightless. He’d never known it was possible to feel safe, to feel seen this deeply, especially from an alpha.
Minho shifted again, this time his nose nuzzling gently into the side of Jisung’s neck, inhaling quietly, as if savouring his scent. Jisung froze for a moment, suddenly hyper-aware of the sharpness of Minho’s presence.
His scent—rich, masculine, and now mixed with something comforting—floated around him. There was a feeling to it, a power, something primal that made Jisung’s body instinctively lean into it.
Minho pulled back slightly, his voice gentle. “Is this okay?”
Jisung let out a breath, his body reacting before his brain could process it. “Yeah. More than okay.”
Minho took a slow, deep breath and let out a small hum, his mouth grazing against Jisung’s neck as he breathed him in. The sensation shot a jolt of heat straight to Jisung’s chest.
He could feel it—Minho’s pheromones, settling into the air between them. A slow, steady warmth that made his heart race. The scent made Jisung’s skin tingle, and his breath caught in his throat.
Minho was scenting him.
And Jisung couldn’t explain it, but it made him feel like he was being wrapped in a blanket of security, a heavy, warm comfort that only made him crave more. He felt the knot in his chest loosen further, like the bond between them was already cemented in the air.
“Minho-hyung…” Jisung’s voice was barely above a whisper. His hands were fisted in the fabric of Minho’s hoodie now, his body instinctively curling in closer. His omega instincts were alive—surging under his skin, demanding more, but this wasn’t pressure, it wasn’t fear. This was different. It was... safe. He wanted more. He wanted all of it.
Minho’s voice, low and steady, pulled him from his thoughts. “I’m not going to push you, Jisung. Not unless you want it. But I’m not going anywhere.”
Jisung’s heart clenched again, and the warm, protective scent of Minho surrounded him completely.
And for the first time in so long, Jisung felt like he wasn’t just existing. He wasn’t just a person trying to survive in a world that liked to remind him of his omega status. He was here, in this moment, with someone who wanted him for who he was, and it made everything feel... softer.
He sighed, content, and let himself relax into Minho’s arms. “I can’t believe I’m saying this... but I think I’m starting to feel like I’m allowed to be happy.”
Minho chuckled softly, the sound full of affection. He pressed a soft kiss to Jisung’s hair, nuzzling his face against it. “You’ve always been allowed, Jisung. I’m just glad you’re starting to believe it.”
Jisung smiled against his chest, eyes fluttering closed. The rest of the world felt far away. It was just Minho, just them, and the gentle, constant pulse of warmth that wrapped around them.
Minho let out another quiet sigh, his fingers tracing lazy circles on Jisung’s back. And when he spoke, it was with that same quiet reverence. “You don’t have to hide any part of yourself with me. I won’t ever make you feel like you don’t belong.”
And Jisung? He believed him.
The words, the touch, the presence—it was enough. Enough to melt the parts of him that had been hardened by years of judgment, enough to ease his old fears.
And as the night stretched on, they didn’t need anything more than this quiet connection. No labels. No expectations. Just Minho and Jisung.
And maybe, just maybe, this was everything.
The studio was already busy when Jisung walked in, a coffee in one hand and a spring in his step. His usual hoodie was swapped out for a loose tee that dipped off one shoulder, and his hair was still tousled from sleep, but his face was glowing with something else entirely—peace.
Chan looked up from the mixing board, brows raised in surprise. “Well, someone’s in a good mood.”
Changbin glanced over from where he was half-curled in a chair, working on his laptop. “You finally get more than four hours of sleep or is there something we should know?”
Jisung dropped into his seat at the desk, tossing his phone beside him with a lopsided grin. “Maybe both. Maybe neither.”
Changbin narrowed his eyes. “That’s suspicious.”
Chan leaned forward, smirking. “You’ve got that post-cuddle energy. The kind that says, ‘I was emotionally validated by a very attractive man recently.’”
“Hyung!” Jisung spluttered, half-laughing, half-gasping, burying his face in his hands. “Why are you like this?”
“I’m not wrong though,” Chan said, shrugging. “Minho’s good for you. You’re lighter, Sungie. You’ve been smiling since you walked in.”
Jisung hesitated for just a second, then let the corners of his mouth lift again, softer this time. “It’s weird. I thought… I thought I’d always feel anxious with someone. Especially with an alpha. But I don’t. Not with him.”
“He’s not like the others,” Changbin said, quiet but sincere. “Minho-hyung’s a little weird—”
“Very weird,” Chan corrected with a grin.
“—but he’s solid,” Changbin finished. “And he clearly likes you.”
“He doesn’t look at me like I’m broken or something to fix,” Jisung murmured. “He just… lets me be me. That’s new.”
Before either of them could respond, the door to the recording booth opened and Seungmin stepped out, tugging off his headphones and blinking like he’d missed the first half of the conversation.
“What’d I walk into?” he asked, setting his water bottle down and glancing between them. “Is Jisung-hyung finally dating the dancer?”
Jisung groaned dramatically and collapsed against the mixing desk. “Can no one be subtle in this place?”
Seungmin chuckled, voice dry. “You’re glowing. I’m not blind.”
“I’m not glowing,” Jisung muttered.
“You are,” Chan chimed in. “Like a Christmas tree.”
“A freshly mated—”
“I am not mated!”
Everyone burst out laughing, including Seungmin, who raised both hands in mock surrender. “Okay, okay. No mating. Got it. Still, though… it’s good to see you this calm, hyung. Like, usually you’re pacing and muttering about deadlines and being allergic to eye contact.”
“I’m still allergic to eye contact,” Jisung muttered, cheeks pink.
“But he’s working through it,” Chan said, nudging him gently with his foot. “And maybe that’s the point.”
Jisung blinked slowly, glancing down at his hands. It was true. The static in his chest that always buzzed too loudly—self-doubt, fear, anxiety—was quiet today. Not gone. But quiet. Minho didn’t erase it. He made space for it. For him.
Seungmin was watching him closely, something like curiosity in his gaze. “I don’t know much about how these alpha-omega dynamics are supposed to work, but… I think what you’ve got sounds good. Balanced.”
Jisung smiled, just a little. “Yeah. It… feels like that.”
“Good,” Seungmin said simply. “Now get in the booth. We’ve got a bridge to re-record, Romeo.”
Jisung rolled his eyes, grabbing his lyric sheet as he stood. “You’re all impossible.”
“And you love us,” Changbin called.
“Unfortunately,” Jisung replied as he slipped into the booth, but the warmth in his voice betrayed him.
As the music cued up and Jisung adjusted the mic, he felt it again—that feeling of being seen, being held, even when Minho wasn’t there.
And when he started to sing, his voice came out clear and steady, riding the calm he was still carrying with him. Not because he had everything figured out, but because for once, he didn’t have to pretend.
He was just Jisung. And that was enough.
The evening had started off like any other, with laughter and quiet conversation as Jisung and Minho prepared dinner together. The warmth of the kitchen, the familiar rhythm of chopping vegetables, and the soft hum of music in the background made Jisung feel at home. They worked in comfortable silence, only breaking it with the occasional playful remark, the kind that left them both smiling like teenagers.
After they finished their meal, they cleared the dishes together, their hands brushing as they passed plates and utensils back and forth. There was a softness in their interactions now, a gentleness that had become the foundation of their time together. And when they finally finished, Jisung leaned against the counter, his eyes never leaving Minho as the older man wiped down the counter, his movements calm and precise.
Minho’s scent was intoxicating tonight. The mix of his pheromones, so deeply familiar now, washed over Jisung in waves, making his heart race a little faster. He caught Minho's gaze, their eyes locking for just a second before Minho turned away, a small smile tugging at his lips.
"Careful, Jisung-ah," Minho teased, his voice low and playful. "You might catch me off guard with that look."
Jisung’s lips curved into a smirk, his body inching closer to Minho, drawn to him in a way that had become almost instinctual. "Maybe I want to catch you off guard," he murmured, his breath catching as he slid a bit closer. The playful tension between them shifted, turning into something thicker, something more heated.
Minho turned to face him, his posture shifting as he leaned into the counter, his gaze softening. "Jisung, we should—" His words faltered as Jisung reached up, his fingers brushing Minho’s chest, just above his shirt.
"Shh, don’t stop," Jisung said, his voice barely above a whisper, a mix of impatience and desire threading through the words. His pheromones spiked, and he could tell Minho noticed, the subtle scent of slick beginning to fill the air around them.
Minho’s breath hitched, and he visibly struggled with himself for a moment. "Jisung, maybe we should slow down—"
But Jisung wasn’t having it. He placed his hand on Minho’s jaw, guiding his face down to his, pressing their lips together with a soft but firm insistence. The kiss was slow at first, warm and tender, but it quickly deepened as their desires took over. Jisung’s heart raced as he pulled Minho closer, feeling the heat between them grow, their bodies aligning in a way that felt more natural with every passing moment.
Minho’s hands slid down Jisung’s sides, his fingers dancing over the fabric of his shirt, the tension thick between them. He paused, his breath warm against Jisung’s lips. "Are you sure?" Minho asked, his voice trembling slightly, torn between his desire for Jisung and his concern for his well-being. "I don’t want to rush anything, I—"
"Hyung," Jisung interrupted, his hands moving to pull Minho closer, pressing their bodies together. "I’m sure.”
That was all Minho needed. He lifted Jisung into his arms effortlessly, carrying him to the bedroom with a tenderness that made Jisung’s heart skip a beat. As they undressed each other, the world around them felt distant, replaced only by the raw, magnetic pull they had toward one another. Minho’s eyes never left Jisung’s, checking for any sign of hesitation, making sure he was comfortable, safe, and cherished.
When they were finally naked, Minho paused, his hands resting on Jisung’s hips as he gazed down at him. "Ok?" he asked again, his voice low, careful. "I want this, Jisung. But I need to make sure you’re okay with everything. I never want to make you feel uncomfortable."
Jisung’s heart softened at the sincerity in Minho’s voice. He could see the care, the genuine affection Minho felt for him in every glance, every touch. "I trust you, Minho," he whispered, his hands reaching for Minho’s, guiding them back to his body. "I feel safe with you."
That was all Minho needed. Minho’s fingers slid into him gently, easing him open with slow, careful circles. Jisung gasped, hips rocking into the pressure, one hand gripping Minho’s forearm as his eyes fluttered shut. His whole body was trembling with anticipation, heat building with each breath.
When Minho climbed on top of him, getting comfortable between his thighs, the world stopped. With a deep breath, Minho pressed forward, slowly and carefully. He moved with deliberate intention, checking in with Jisung at every step, making sure he was okay. And when Jisung’s breath hitched and his body responded to Minho’s, he felt the walls inside him crumble, and he gave himself fully to the moment.
But just as the intensity of their connection reached its peak, something shifted. Minho’s expression faltered for a brief second, his pace slowing as he became aware of the change in their dynamic. Jisung’s body clenched around him, slick and hot, and Minho’s breath caught in his throat. He tried to pull back. Before Jisung could understand what’s going on, the knot formed, pushing deep inside him. Minho froze, his eyes widening in panic. "Jisung," he gasped, pulling back slightly, his hands shaking as he quickly distanced himself. "I—I didn’t mean to. I’m so sorry."
Jisung’s heart raced as he realized what had just happened. He was too stunned, too overwhelmed to say anything at first, his body still trembling from the intense sensation. Minho fell forward, hiding his face in Jisung’s neck, his face flushed with shame.
"I—I didn’t mean to," Minho stammered, his voice filled with regret. "I should’ve been more careful. I shouldn’t have—"
But Jisung wasn’t upset. He gently reached out, pulling Minho back to him, guiding him to sit beside him on the bed. "Hyung, it’s okay. It’s okay. Just breathe."
Minho’s breath was shallow, and he looked lost, like a deer caught in the headlights. "I didn’t mean to hurt you. I didn’t want to—"
"Minho-hyung," Jisung said, his voice firm but gentle. "It’s not like that. I’m not upset." He took a slow breath, feeling his own heart beat steadily in his chest. "You didn’t do anything wrong."
Minho’s eyes widened, his confusion still evident. "But—"
"Hyung," Jisung interrupted again, his hand reaching up to cup Minho’s face, his thumb gently caressing his cheek. "I trust you. You didn’t hurt me. I—I know what happened. I know what it means."
Minho stiffened, his eyes searching Jisung’s face for any sign of discomfort or doubt. "You don’t... you don’t hate me for it? You don’t think... that I did something wrong?"
Jisung shook his head, his hands moving to pull Minho closer. "No. Not at all. I know what knotting means. You didn’t do anything wrong, Minho. I—" He paused, taking a breath, his words careful, deliberate. "I think it means something important, doesn’t it? I think it means you see me as your mate."
Minho froze, his entire body tensing. "Jisung, I didn’t mean to push you into that. I didn’t mean to make you feel like I was—"
Jisung placed a finger over Minho’s lips, stopping him. "Minho-hyung, it’s okay. I’m not scared. I’m not angry. I’m not upset. I trust you. And, to be honest, I think I feel the same way. I just... I don’t want you to feel bad. I don’t want you to think you did something wrong."
Minho’s breath stilled for a moment, his gaze softening as he took in Jisung’s words. "You’re not scared?" he asked quietly, still unsure.
"Not of you," Jisung said, his voice warm and reassuring. "You make me feel safe. You make me feel... cared for." He smiled, a soft, tender smile that made Minho’s heart swell. "I think... I think I’m starting to understand what it all means. And I’m okay with it."
Minho blinked, his heart racing in his chest as he pulled Jisung close again, holding him tight, his body trembling. "I’m sorry for panicking," he whispered, his voice thick with emotion. "I just didn’t want to make you uncomfortable. I didn’t want to rush things, or make you feel like you had to be something you’re not."
Minho exhaled slowly, his body finally relaxing as he held Jisung close, the tension slowly leaving him. "I don’t know what I’d do without you," he whispered, his voice thick with emotion.
"Then don’t," Jisung whispered back, his words full of warmth and affection. "Stay with me."
Minho pressed a soft kiss to the top of Jisung’s head, holding him a little tighter, a little longer. "I will, Jisung. I’ll always stay."
And in that moment, everything else faded away, leaving only the two of them in their quiet, tender embrace.
As soon as they were able to separate, Jisung could feel Minho’s pulse racing again under his fingertips, the tension still lingering in his body. He knew how much Minho was holding back, trying so hard to make sure he wasn’t overwhelming him or crossing a line. But something about Minho’s uncertainty—the fear that he might not be enough or might ruin everything—pulled at Jisung’s heart.
He wasn’t used to being the one to take the lead in situations like this. Being an omega, his natural instincts often made him the more passive one in a relationship. But Minho was different. The power dynamics felt less relevant with him, and Jisung found that he could be strong and vulnerable all at once. He could be himself in ways he hadn’t expected.
Jisung reached up, his fingers brushing gently against Minho’s hair, his scent still clinging to him. He leaned in slowly, letting his breath mingle with Minho’s, and then—almost instinctively—he guided Minho’s face into the crook of his neck, letting Minho inhale deeply. The familiar, warm scent of omega filled him, grounding him. It wasn’t just the pheromones; it was the sense of security that Jisung brought with him.
Minho’s breath hitched slightly, and Jisung’s eyes flicked open to meet his gaze. For a moment, Jisung could see the surprise there—like Minho wasn’t expecting this, wasn’t expecting Jisung to initiate something so intimate in his own way.
But Jisung didn’t pull back. He pressed closer, allowing the scenting. It was an intimate gesture, a form of communication between them, a way of reaffirming their bond. It was Jisung’s way of telling Minho that he wasn’t afraid, that he was here, that this connection meant something more than just physical attraction.
Jisung pulled back slightly and nestled his face into the crook of Minho’s neck. Minho stilled, his eyes softening. For a moment, his body relaxed, the tension easing out of his shoulders. He was still processing everything—his fears, his doubts—but this, this felt like something real. Something they were both willing to share.
Jisung pulled back just enough to look at Minho, his eyes searching his face for any signs of discomfort. “Are you okay?” Jisung asked, his voice barely a whisper.
Minho exhaled shakily, his chest lifting in a slow breath as he met Jisung’s gaze. “I’m fine,” he said softly, almost a bit surprised by the question. “Better than fine, actually. I just… I didn’t expect this.”
Jisung smiled, a soft, tender smile that made his heart swell. “I know. But I’m here, Hyung. I’m not going anywhere.”
Minho nodded, a little more relaxed now. He brought his hand up, cupping Jisung’s face gently, and his thumb traced the line of Jisung’s jaw. He wanted to say something more, to finally express how much he felt for Jisung, but the words were still stuck somewhere in his chest. He wasn’t sure if he’d ever be able to say everything right, but he knew one thing for sure: he didn’t want to mess this up.
Jisung leaned into Minho’s touch, feeling the warmth of his hand and the steady thrum of his heart beneath his palm. It felt like the weight of the world had lifted a little—like there was still so much more to explore, but this was real. This was something that didn’t need to be perfect. They didn’t need all the answers right now. They just needed to be together.
“I’ll always be here, Jagi-ah,” Jisung repeated, this time with more conviction. “No matter what. We’ll figure this out. Together.”
Minho’s eyes softened, a rare and genuine smile breaking across his face. It was a smile that made Jisung’s heart flutter in his chest. He was scared, yes, but with Jisung, he felt something different. Something worth holding onto.
“Thank you,” Minho whispered, his voice thick with emotion. He pulled Jisung into a tight hug, burying his face in the crook of his neck. Jisung could feel the heat of Minho’s breath, the steady rise and fall of his chest. And for the first time, Minho seemed at ease, like he wasn’t carrying the weight of his doubts alone.
Jisung’s fingers gently threaded through Minho’s hair, the rhythm of his touch slow and comforting. He let the moment linger, feeling the intimacy between them wrap around him like a blanket. For the first time, he didn’t feel scared. He didn’t feel judged. He just felt loved.
Minho pulled back slightly, just enough to look into Jisung’s eyes. His voice was quiet, but steady. “I don’t want you to think I’m doing this just because of what you are. I’m not trying to claim you or… I just want you, Jisung. All of you.”
“I know,” Jisung whispered back, his heart full. “I just need you to be real with me. And you are. That’s all I want.”
Minho nodded slowly, his eyes dark with affection. “I’ll be real, Jisung. I promise.”
They sat in silence for a few moments, the world outside fading away. In this quiet space, they didn’t need to say anything more. Their connection was enough. And as the weight of their words settled, Jisung realized something important: they didn’t have to have everything figured out. They just had to be there for each other. And that was more than enough.
Later that night, Jisung felt the need to share his feelings with Felix and Hyunjin. After all, they had always been there for him, and tonight felt like a moment he couldn’t keep to himself.
He picked up his phone and opened the group chat with Felix and Hyunjin. He hesitated for just a second, then decided to send a message.
Hanquokka:

Hanquokka:

Jinnie:
YESSSS PLEASE. We need a celebratory dinner with the lovebirds. 🍾💖
Jisung smiled as he put his phone down, the flurry of messages from Felix and Hyunjin warming his heart. It felt so right—being able to share this with them. He didn’t feel alone anymore, and he didn’t feel like he was keeping secrets. Minho might be different, but he wasn’t scared of it. And with his friends supporting him, Jisung was more confident in this new path they were walking together.
Six months had passed since Minho and Jisung had become an official couple, and in that time, their bond had only deepened. They had spent countless hours getting to know each other, navigating the ups and downs of a relationship, and most importantly—learning how to be together in a way that felt natural and right. It had all led to this moment: their first place together.
The apartment was small but cozy, and as they stood in the living room, boxes everywhere, Jisung felt his heart swell with happiness. It was real. He was here with Minho, in their new home.
Their friends were there too, helping with the move. Changbin, Felix, Hyunjin, and Seungmin were hauling boxes in and out of the apartment like a well-oiled machine, while Chan was directing traffic with his usual leadership skills. Even Innie had shown up, eager to pitch in.
As Minho carried in the last of the boxes, Jisung was busy putting together their new bed frame. He smiled, leaning down to tighten a screw, his heart light as he thought about how lucky he was to have found Minho.
“Alright, let’s get this bed set up,” Minho said, giving Jisung a playful look as he set down the final box. “I’m really glad we’re doing this. I’m so happy we’re finally moving in together.”
Jisung looked up at him, his eyes softening. “Me too, Hyung. I’m happier than I’ve ever been. It feels right, you know?”
Minho grinned, kneeling down beside Jisung to help with the bed frame. “It does,” he said, his voice warm and filled with emotion. “I can’t imagine being anywhere else but here... with you.”
Jisung felt a rush of affection and gave Minho a quick kiss on the cheek. “I love you,” he murmured, his heart beating faster than usual.
Minho smiled and returned the kiss, this time on Jisung’s lips, a soft, tender moment shared between them. “I love you too, Sungie,” he said, his voice sincere. “I love you so much.”
Meanwhile, in the hallway, the group of friends was busy unpacking. They had heard the exchange between Minho and Jisung and couldn’t resist teasing them.
“Can you believe this?” Changbin said with a smirk, glancing over at Felix, Hyunjin, and Seungmin. “They’re literally declaring their love while putting together a bed. How domestic.”
Felix clutched his heart, pretending to swoon. “I’m gonna cry. They’re just so perfect together,” he exaggerated, throwing his arms in the air dramatically. “It’s like watching a romance movie in real life! Lovebirds!”
Hyunjin, not to be outdone, joined in with a wink. “What’s the next step? Are they gonna destroy the bed together? Oh wait, they already did that part,” he teased, his voice dripping with mock drama. “This is the real honeymoon phase, people.”
Seungmin rolled his eyes playfully but couldn’t help but grin. “You guys are ridiculous. They’re just happy. Let them enjoy it.”
Jisung, overhearing the comments from the other room, turned bright red and gave Minho a playful nudge. “I think they’re talking about us.”
Minho chuckled softly, his hands still on the bed frame. “Let them talk. I’m just happy to be here with you. No need for drama, right?” He glanced toward the open door where the teasing was coming from, giving them a wink.
But then Felix popped his head into the room, a mischievous glint in his eyes. “Oh! Look at you two!” he exclaimed. “Moving in, making the bed, and already saying ‘I love you’—how cute. Are you going to have a wedding next?”
Hyunjin’s voice followed right after, filled with dramatic flair. “Don’t forget to take the honeymoon photos! And Minho-Hyung, you better spoil Jisung in this relationship. He deserves it all. You know, flowers, dates, fancy dinners… and maybe a new bed after this one, since you guys will break it in so much.”
Jisung burst out laughing, shaking his head in embarrassment. “You guys are impossible,” he said, grinning as he sat back on the bed they had just assembled.
Minho, laughing along with him, rolled his eyes good-naturedly. “Yeah, I guess we’re just so cute, right?”
“Seriously though, you guys,” Felix said, his voice suddenly softer. “It’s amazing seeing you two so happy together. I’ve never seen you like this, Jisung. I’m so glad you found someone like Minho-hyung.”
Jisung smiled, his heart swelling with affection for his friends. “I know. I’m really lucky. I think we’re going to be okay, don’t you?”
“We’re more than okay,” Minho said, his voice steady and full of warmth. “We’re good. Really good.”
As the group moved on to the next task, helping with the rest of the unpacking and setting up, the house quickly started to feel like home. The sound of laughter, banter, and playful teasing filled the air, and Jisung couldn’t help but feel incredibly content.
