Chapter Text

‘You picked a dance with the devil and you lucked out’

Heeseung stood at the edge of the apartment, the noise of the party swirling around him. It’s not wild, but it’s not quiet either, somewhere in the middle – just enough to make him feel like an outsider. He could count the people he knew here on one hand. To be honest, he couldn’t pinpoint a moment where partying became mundane to him, maybe it just came with age and experience. Maybe the excuse of being a student wasn’t enough to cover the fact that they were all just unemployed alcoholics. Maybe. But here he was, regardless of the fact it wasn’t his ideal Friday night, the familiar bass of a song blasted in his ears.  He has Jay to thank for that.

Life was mostly simple for Heeseung. He’s a third year music production student, relatively creative and fashionable. But now he was the type to blend into the background without a second thought. He didn’t mind this – no one watching his every move. He wasn’t particularly a go-getter; his grades were good, he was friendly, and he was generally liked (although Heeseung had a good idea that this was just due to his looks, most people didn’t know him). He would wake up, go to class, go back to his dorm, game for a bit, hang with his friends, did his assignments last minute like everyone else and filled the gaps with anything else that came his way. He’s not trying to change the world or the music industry or chasing fame. Nothing crazy, nothing life-altering, but it’s steady and for now that was enough for him.

Jay, on the other hand, begs to differ. Heeseung’s longest term friend to date, his bestie since high school. They’ve been through all of their awkward stages together, bad haircuts, braces, convincing themselves they were straight, all of it. These days, Heeseung and Jay’s relationship isn’t as codependent as it once was since Jay found himself a lovely boyfriend named Jungwon. Since Jay started getting laid, he made it his mission to get Heeseung laid too-hence Heeseung finding himself at this party after his relentless convincing.

“You need to get some,” he’d said earlier in the evening, dead serious, “or you’re gonna start shooting dust instead of sperm.”

Heeseung has had his fair share of love stories, hookups and too many parties to count. He really thinks he’s over it. The right person will find him eventually – probably at a cafe, or in a class, or in some weird group project – not in a haze of smoke and sweat and way too loud music.

Jay and Jungwon’s relationship is honestly great. Unfortunately, Heeseung knows a little too much about just how great, with the noise cancelling headphones he had to buy when they were roommates the previous year. He’s friends with them both, though closer to Jay considering the ten year duration of their friendship, and he thinks Jungwon is his perfect match. He’s level headed, grounded and somehow able to keep Jay’s insanity in check even with their two year age gap, it works in the kind of way that makes people believe in fate. Heeseung wouldn't be surprised if they get married before they graduate. Sunoo, Jungwon’s best friend, was usually around too. The best word Heeseung could use to describe him was sunshine – he’s an effortlessly good presence to be with, someone Heeseung was more than glad to be friends with . Heeseung just hoped he would stumble into someone who balances him out in all the right ways, like Jungwon and Jay.

He tried to play it cool, but honestly this wasn't his scene. Making noise never brought peace so he learned to stay quiet instead. He was never the kind of person who liked being the center of attention—he preferred to exist quietly, on the sidelines. But the comfort of staying small had made him a little too withdrawn, and now, standing in the middle of this party, everything felt louder than it probably was.

As Jay dabbed up half the room as if he’s running for office, Heeseung scanned the crowd for anyone he remotely recognised. His eyes landed on the familiar pair, Sunoo and Jungwon, clinging to each other like magnets as always. Behind them a taller boy that Heeseung doesn’t recognise hovered over them, he’s close but not saying much, arms crossed and eyes sharp like he’s studying everyone without trying to.

“Heeseung! You came! Maybe you’re not as boring as you look,” Sunoo called out to him, his voice bubbling with tipsy energy as he threw his arms around Heeseung, spreading his warmth. The sour scent of alcohol stuck to him. Heeseung just chuckled and affectionately patted his lower back, which wasn’t missed by the tall boy behind him. It’s classic first year behaviour, annoying, endearing and kind of contagious. Maybe the party wouldn’t be that bad.

Sunoo pulled back after a beat and gestured between them, “This is Ni-ki, my friend from dance class. He’s cool, not the chattiest babe out there unless you’re deemed to be worth it,” he giggled, looking back at the boy, Ni-ki, whose eyes softened at Sunoo. He gave Heeseung a nod in greeting, not unfriendly, just quiet. Heeseung offered him a smile in return.

“Don’t mind him,” Jungwon added, sliding into the conversation with a red solo cup in hand. He passed it to Heeseung, who accepted it gratefully – the buzz of alcohol making it easier to chat to strangers. “You’ll be fine, everyone here is a little weird but harmless.” Heeseung took a sip, the fizz warming him from the inside as he let himself relax.

It didn’t take more than two drinks for the warmth to settle into Heeseung’s limbs. The bass thudded through the floor, bodies blurred past him in waves of laughter and shitty disco lights. The night began passing by in moments; dancing in a circle with Sunoo and Jungwon; screaming all the lyrics they do and don’t know; Jay grabs his hand during the chorus and spins him dramatically, nearly knocking over a lamp. Once Heeseung was too dizzy to take a single step, Jay grabbed his boyfriend’s hand to probably go and make out – or worse – elsewhere. Once ensuring Heeseung wasn’t going to fent fold, Sunoo eventually dragged Ni-ki off for what seemed like an oddly intimate conversation on the other side of the room.

That’s how Heeseung found himself plopping on the nearest couch in time with Beomgyu, who raised his eyebrows, giving him that ‘well look who it is’ kind of look. They knew each other from class – they game with each other more than they see each other in class, actually. Not besties, but he’s a chill guy, as long as he doesn’t try talk emotions or pull him into another dance circle. Beomgyu held up his phone and wordlessly showed him a TikTok of a guy falling off of a barstool. Heeseung snorted, leaning in to watch.

“Five quid says that guy by the kitchen is gonna puke,” Beomgyu muttered, moving Heeseung’s gaze over to the kitchen next to Sunoo and Jungwon, where a dude is bleary eyed and green in the face.

“Five says he already did.” Heeseung sighed. He was not particularly in the mood to see this guy tweak out. His eyes quickly moved to a familiar figure sauntering by. Tight leather shorts, tank top, thigh high boots, effortless danger in human form. Yeonjun. Heeseung knew him from campus, more specifically from class. He was a teacher's assistant in one of his and Beomgyu’s sound design classes and absolutely the kind of TA that makes you forget how to spell your own name when he leaned over your desk. All sly smirks and siren eyes. Way too pretty to be grading homework.

He made eye contact with Heeseung mid-step and didn’t look away, smiling like he knew something Heeseung didn’t. He threw a lethal wink and kept walking. Blinking, Heeeseung’s brain scrambled. Maybe Jay was right – it had been a while

Beomgyu certainly didn’t miss the chance to make fun of Heeseung, “Close your mouth before you start drooling on me.”

Heeseung immediately straightened up, “I wasn’t–”

“Oh no, by all means. Please keep staring at his ass like it owes you money,” Beomgyu grinned like a Cheshire Cat, “Don’t act shocked, bro. You were not subtle at all .”

“I wasn’t staring at his ass!” He exclaimed, maybe a little loud since it caused a couple people to turn around, which he just awkwardly nodded them off. Beomgyu cackled.

They shot the shit for a few more minutes, somewhat distracted by the music and the people bumping past one another. Jungwon eventually appeared – looking a little dishevelled, but whatever.

He tapped Beomgyu on the shoulder with a drink in each hand and a much more relaxed grin. “You've had enough of my Bambi for now, I'm stealing him back.” Yeah he’s drunk. Beomgyu goes willingly, giving Heeseung a pat to his shoulder before he disappeared into the crowd.

Just as the vibe seemed to flatten, the energy shifted suddenly. He could hear the change before he saw it, the music getting louder, people moving out the way for something to complete the lineup; the party is about to reach its climax.

“That’s Jake, the guy I was telling you about,” Jay whisper-shouted in his ear, his sight locked on the two guys that came in the door. One was smiling, a bright puppy like energy to him, the other a colder shadow coming in behind him. They’re clearly close –like those dudes that come as a package deal, a kind of comfortable that’s earned over years. It seemed every party attendee was watching them, or more importantly, the one in front – Jake.

Yeah, Jay had told him about his fellow foreign friend. The Australian one. The guy who reminded everyone of a golden retriever with his eager and bright energy. Plus his puppy dog eyes, which Heeseung can see for himself. That and the impact he had made on the uni since he arrived this year. Clearly he was created with both beauty and brains. Add on the intelligence, charisma and what else? He’s a sports prodigy. Some people just have it all. Surely there was something wrong with him – his breath stank or something. Heeseung didn’t fully get the hype at first. Yes, he was certainly hot, there's no doubt about that. Confident, magnetic, yeah, but nothing extraordinary.

That’s until he realised Jake is coming straight his way.

“You’re new, what’s your name?” Unfortunately, his breath did not stank.

“Heeseung.”

“Cute, you look like you cry during sex,” Jake smirked to himself, the boy behind him chuckled and slapped his shoulder. Jake then properly looked Heeseung in the eyes, not anywhere else and his eyes widened with recognition, “Heeseung hyung?”

It didn’t hit him at first, but as he stared back at Jake in confusion it slowly clicked, “Jaeyun?” He said in disbelief. A flashback to his childhood, Heeseung made friends with this boy years back. Sim Jaeyun, he was in the year below him and their friendship came around in the playground. Jaeyun took a silly fall when he was too excited and Heeseung helped him get a teacher for a plaster and the rest was history. Their friendship lasted a few years, they’d have playdates and walk home from school together. But as far as he remembered, one day Jaeyun had to leave and didn't know if he would come back after summer. And he didn’t. Heeseung was initially devastated by the news, you would have thought the world ended or someone died. But it was just one of those events as a child that he was unfortunate enough to experience. He can't believe he found him again, it was reliving to know Heeseung was still taller than him at least.

“Holy shit, I didn’t think you’d grow up sexy…” Jake said, acting like a shy himbo but Heeseung could see through it.

“Oh shut up,” Heeseung went in to give him a slap, but he stopped, looking behind Jake into the guy standing behind him like his fucking bodyguard.

“This is Sunghoon, by the way.” The introduction is a bit stiff, with Sunghoon barely looking up from his phone. A cold wave of indifference hangs in the air between them, but Heeseung didn’t particularly mind. He was used to the more aloof types, especially at parties like this.

Jake gave Heeseung a toothy grin, and excused himself, muttering something about grabbing a drink, but Heeseung barely heard it over the party's growing rowdiness and the music. Left to his own devices, Heeseung looked around, momentarily unsure of what to do.

“So, are you Jay’s friend then?” Sunghoon asked, sounding insanely disinterested while doing so.

Heeseung blinked, thrown off by the fact Sunghoon even spoke to him considering how offstandish he’s been so far, “Yeah, since high school. It’s been over ten years at this point.” He smiled at the thought.

Sunghoon barely reacted, just humming in response, his attention flickering somewhere else behind Heeseung. After a moment, he looked back at Heeseung as if an idea just popped into his head. “You wouldn’t happen to know the twink with the tall emo over there?”

“Ah, yeah, that’s my friend Sunoo, the tall emo is Ni-ki. They’re not together though, if that’s what you’re thinking.” Sunghoon just nodded in response, once again not looking anywhere in Heeseung’s direction.

Sunghoon quipped a quick, “Yeah, okay, see you around,” and then he was off.

Thank God . That was fucking awkward. Once again he let his eyes trail the room, seeing Jake in the distance making his way back over to him. Heeseung watched as Jake moved through the crowd, his gaze following him without thinking. Jake was slightly jittery now, a slight erraticness to his movement but Heeseung just brushed it off. Maybe it’s the alcohol or maybe Jake’s just being Jake- who is he to know. Either way it’s no biggie, everyone acted differently at parties.

Once Jake rejoined him, Heeseung can feel a difference in his energy. It’s a subtle shift, but he really just doesn’t have an idea what’s wrong, maybe he’s nervous? As he watched Jake swipe his nose for the fourth time in the past five minutes, his gaze unintentionally followed it and therefore down to his lips. He felt his face heat up as he struggled to move his line of sight for a minute. Is there some kind of gay virus in the air today? He thought to himself.

As he spiralled in his head, he didn’t even realise he completely spaced out while Jake talked to him. Lost in his thoughts, Heeseung just focused on how insanely attractive Jake looked at that moment, he struggled to connect this hot stud to his goofy looking friend when he was like seven. His mind was a mess of thoughts about his jawline, his eyes, the way he’s moving–

“Anybody there?” Jake got real close up to his face, and Heeseung was finally taken out of his trance.

“Yes, yeah, sorry,” Heeseung couldn’t manage to do anything but blush, barely hearing Jake over the music anyways. His heart definitely started to beat faster too. Jake didn’t even give him another moment to think, he just reached out and grabbed Heeseung’s hand, tugging him towards the door.

“Let's get out of here for a bit.”

They settled on a bench a little far off from the party, but still close enough to see and hear the commotion.  The air was crisp, biting enough to wake Heeseung’s flushed cheeks. Jake stretched out his legs and leaned back on his hands, head tilted up towards the stars.

“You always this quiet or have I got you struck?” Jake asked, glancing over to Heeseung with a cheeky smirk.

Heeseung scoffed at him, internally hoping he wouldn't blush, “I’m not quiet. I just don’t have a clue what to say when someone drags me out of a party without a word.” Jake laughed at his remark.

“Right–my bad. You looked a little overstimulated and I was certainly feeling it was too loud in there. Figured you wouldn’t mind.”

“I didn’t say I did,” Heeseung kept his teasing act up. Jake hit him playfully, but his hand lingered for a moment longer. The warmth of his touch made Heeseung shiver.

“Good,” Jake said, his eyes then flickering down to Heeseung’s lips for a moment before meeting his eyes again. “You’ve got that look about you, like you’re not really into the crowd thing.”

Heeseung hummed, shrugging, “Depends on the crowd.”

They fell into a small pause, the vibe definitely heating up as their conversation lingered.Jake seemed content with the silence but Heeseung’s brain worked a little fast. “So when did you get back from Australia?”

“Just before I started first year, so a good year and a half.”

“It’s so weird that we didn’t meet again sooner, if you were Jay’s friend and I was Jay’s roommate for the whole year.”

“You’re kidding, I didn’t even know. He didn’t introduce us until today?” Jake sighed.

“I guess not, maybe the universe was saving it for a dramatic meet cute at a random house party.” Heeseung was just talking out his ass at this point, Jake’s eyes had him in a trance.

“You’d call this dramatic?” Jake joked at him.

“I got dragged outside by someone way too confident for a first impression, feels somewhat like a movie scene if I do say so myself.”

Jake tapped his nose like he’s considering what he just said.“Alright. I’ll allow it.” Heeseung snorted in response. Jake fiddled around in his jean pocket, “You smoke?”

Heeseung watched him pull out a small pouch, nimble fingers already working away without needing to look (he definitely didn’t need to squeeze his thighs shut at the sight, nah) “Not really,” he answered honestly, “But I've been known to make exceptions.”

Jake's mouth twitched, his eyes going down to fold the filter in his hands with precision, “Dangerous words, hyung.” Heeseung just observed him at work. What could a little bit of weed even do to him? It’s not like he hasn’t smoked before – it’s just been a while.

Jake twisted the tip and began to burn it off with a practised ease to his ways. Finally, he lifted it to his own lips and took a puff. He let it sit for a second before going straight back in for another. The smell made Heeseung scrunch up his nose momentarily, before he schooled his expression to normal when Jake looked back at him.

“Is this the part where you corrupt me?” Heeseung said as Jake’s hand extended to his.

“Nah,” Jake said, a spark in his eyes, “You look like you’ve already got a little trouble in you.”

Heeseung took the joint from Jake’s fingers, the warmth of their touch lingering longer than it should. He inhaled slowly, the smoke scratching a little at his throat before mellowing out. It’s smoother than expected— his last thought before coughing up a lung. Jake giggled at him and patted his back as he recuperated. The high crept in gently, like a warm tide pooling behind his eyes.

They sat in a silence that was surprisingly comfortable, Jake smoking the majority of the weed they had and Heeseung taking a hit every now and then, the hum of the party muffled behind the walls. What he could gather from the noise was that there was now a microphone involved and someone was awfully attempting karaoke. Heeseung exhaled a laugh through his nose.

“Feels nice out here,” he said, gaze drifting up to where the stars barely peeked through the city’s glow.

Jake hummed in agreement, flicking ash off the edge. “You don’t come to many of these, huh?”

Heeseung shook his head, the motion lazy.

“Not really my scene anymore. I know Jay, obviously , and a couple others – but the rest?” He gestured vaguely toward the house. “All unfamiliar faces. I feel like I snuck into the wrong party and no one’s noticed yet.”

Jake glanced over at him, the ghost of a smirk tugging at his lips. “You’re blending in just fine.”

Heeseung smiled, soft and a little buzzed, “Might be the weed.”

The sound increased for a moment as the door opened. Two more than eager drunkards, one pretty guy with curly hair and an equally as pretty girl with long black hair, came stumbling out. Somehow they were trying to make out – with plenty of groping – and walk at the same time. Clearly it wasn’t working. Heeseung laughed under his breath at a thought that popped into his head, “That curly-haired guy already offered me a drink and a fuck.”

Jake looked up, grinning. “Kai. He flirts like it’s a nervous tic. Don’t take it to heart—he’s got the emotional range of a soggy paper towel.”

Heeseung snorted. “He winked at me twice in the same sentence. It was honestly impressive.”

Jake sparked the lighter, eyes glinting. “Yeah, that’s just Kai being Kai. He’ll flirt with a wall if it looks back at him.”

Exhaling, he offered Heeseung the blunt. “See that guy with the big eyes near the porch? The one talking to Beomgyu.”

Heeseung followed his line of sight and nodded.

“Taehyun. Football captain. Doesn’t say much unless he has to, but when he does, it’s the kind of thing that shuts a room up. Real mature, real private.”

Heeseung hummed. “Yeah, I saw him earlier. Felt like he was reading my tax history.”

Jake chuckled, “He probably was.”

A quiet stretch passed between them. Smoke curled in the air, the two of them light in their words and actions.

“Who’s that guy over there?” Heeseung pointed to a dude by himself with his hood up, leaning on the fence like he’s auditioning to be a statue. He watched someone approach the guy, they made a quick and subtle exchange.

“He doesn’t talk much,” Jake added. “You don’t really talk to Soobin. You just know what he’s here for.”

Heeseung made a small sound in acknowledgement. In this economy, who is he to judge people's career choices? He could feel the heat radiating off Jake’s body, maybe it was the alcohol or maybe it was the weed or maybe both, but he found himself unable to meet Jake’s charged gaze.

“Do I have something on my face?” Heeseung masked his nerves with a joke, finally turning his head to look at Jake. As expected, Jake was staring him down, not casually, not friendly, not drunk and bored. Really boring a hole into Heeseung.

Jake leaned in, his gaze unwavering, “Yeah, pretty.”

Oh, he’s bold. Heeseung was certainly flustered now, trying to look anywhere that is not Jake’s lips but he failed. He watched as his bottom got bitten slowly then let go.

“What?” Jake’s voice was softer now.

“You’re bolder than I remember,” Heeseung stated.

“That was more than ten years ago, baby. Plus you don’t seem to mind.” Baby? The cold had already teased goosebumps across his skin, but now they bloomed under a different kind of heat.

Heeseung wet his lips and Jake took that as permission, closing the tiny gap they had between them. Heeseung felt a shiver run down his spine as their lips began to move against each other. Jake kissed like he meant it – as if he had been holding back all night. His hands rapidly moved up and down Heeseung’s torso, leading down his thighs and back up again. The older barely gets a breath in before Jake’s other hand tilts his jaw, tilting his face just right.

It’s all tongue and teeth, hot and hungry, like they’ve skipped a couple steps. Heeseung grips Jake’s varsity jacket to keep himself anchored, but Jake just smirks and pulls him into his lap. He can clearly feel how affected Jake is, Heeseung exhaled sharply into the kiss as Jake patted his ass to pull back for a moment.

“Fuck,” Heeseung cursed, trying not to moan out in public like this.

“You wanna come back to mine?” Heeseung didn’t answer with words, instead tugging Jake by the front of his jacket again, this time with purpose.

Jake grinned. “I’ll take that as a yes.”

The ride back to Jake’s place was intense to say the least, they barely said a word to one another but the silence between them was thick. Heeseung could feel the charged glances from Jake, his hand that wasn’t on the wheel was firmly gripping the flesh of Heeseungs thigh. Heeseung tried his best not to squirm or get worked up over it.

They pulled up to an apartment complex no more than 5 minutes away from campus, Jake turned off the engine and turned to Heeseung with a cheeky look to his face. Heeseung’s heart jumped a little, what has he gotten himself into? There was no rush about Jake at first, he sauntered over to Heeseung’s side of the car as he got out. As he reached over Heeseung’s head to close the car door behind him, his shirt rode up and revealed his tanned skin and underwear waistband. Only a gulp could encapsulate what he was feeling in that moment.

Jake placed a hand firmly on the older’s waist as he led them towards his specific apartment. The bright hallway lights contrasted the darkness they had adjusted their eyes to. Heeseung blindly followed Jake and they made their stop at apartment 307. Jake quickly put in the door code before pushing it open and taking his hand off the small of Heeseungs back to let him in first.

The door to Jake’s room clicked shut behind them. Jake dropped his keys somewhere, turned—and Heeseung was already on him. Lips, teeth, hands, all greedy. Jake groaned into the kiss, walking them backwards until Heeseung hit the wall, laughing breathlessly between kisses.

“You always this easy?” Jake mumbled, lips against Heeseung’s jaw.

“You always this cocky?” Heeseung shot back, already tugging Jake’s hoodie up.

Jake chuckled, low and rough. “Only when I’m right.”

Heeseung made a low sound as Jake’s mouth dragged along the edge of his jaw, down to the hollow of his throat.

“You’re not gonna be right for long if you keep teasing,” he breathed, fingers fisting in the back of Jake’s shirt.

Jake pulled back just enough to smirk, his pupils blown wide, all heat and hunger. “What, you want it soft and sweet?”

“I want it now.” That’s all Jake needed to hear. He pushed Heeseung back again, this time onto his bed, dropping down with him, one knee between his thighs. The kiss turned messier, wetter, teeth grazing lips like they’re both starving. Jake’s hand slipped beneath Heeseung’s shirt, running hot up his torso, slow and possessive.

Heeseung’s hips twitched up against him, and Jake groaned into his mouth. “Fuck—okay. I get it. You’re impatient.”

“Then do something about it,” Heeseung panted, tugging him closer, Jake didn’t hesitate. His lips found a path down Heeseung’s neck again, sucking a mark just below his collarbone as Heeseung arched into him, nails dragging along Jake’s back beneath his hoodie. There was no room for shame, no space for doubt—not with the way Jake’s hands gripped at his hips strong enough to leave marks. A broken gasp escaped his lips as Jake dragged his mouth over his skin. It was all heat and friction, Heeseung could feel himself chubbing up at Jake’s actions.

Jake pulled away just long enough to dig into the pocket of his hoodie. Heeseung’s lips were pink and slick, parted around a breath that sounded half like a whimper. Jake’s hand returned with a little brown bottle, and he tapped it against Heeseung’s thigh.

“Ever tried poppers?” he asked, eyes heavy-lidded and wicked.

Heeseung raised an eyebrow, still trying to get his brain back online. “Isn’t that, like… a sex thing?”

Jake grinned as he leaned in close, giving his nose a peck before backing up a little. “Trust me,” he said, voice low and rough with want. “You’ll thank me later.”

He uncapped it and took a quick hit, head tipping back slightly, then passed it to Heeseung without missing a beat. Heeseung hesitated, but the recklessly confident look on Jake’s face was enough for him.

“Fuck it,” he murmured, and inhaled.

It hit him after a few seconds. His head swam, a gentle warmth spread throughout his body. Everything blurred around the edges for a second, his body went loose and was lighter than a feather. His skin buzzed with need, his mind became a dizzy blissful place that made him want to just hold onto Jake and never let go.

Every nerve dialed up to want . Jake kissed him again, and Heeseung swore he melted right into it, moaning into his mouth like the air’s been knocked out of him.

Jake chuckled darkly, lips dragging along Heeseung’s cheek. “Told you.”

Jake’s mouth was hot and urgent when it finds Heeseung’s again, kissing him with something deeper than lust—something hungry. Heeseung moaned into it, pliant under Jake’s hands, fingers curling into his shirt like he needed something to anchor him. Jake’s body is all heat and muscle against him, hard chest pressing tight to Heeseung’s as he pushed him gently back onto the couch.

“You’re unreal,” Jake murmured against his lips, tongue sliding slowly and deliberately. “So fucking pretty.”

Heeseung let out a quiet, broken laugh, tilting his head to give more. His skin feels electric, every nerve buzzing, like he hadn’t been touched in years. Maybe he hasn’t—not like this. Not with someone whose hands map him like a song.

Jake kissed down his throat, teeth dragging softly across the skin before laving it with his tongue, and Heeseung shuddered,

“Sensitive?” he asked, eyes flashing.

“Y-Yeah.” It’s breathy and shaky. Embarrassingly so.

Jake grinned, wicked. “Good.”

It was only so much more Heeseung could handle, he was painfully hard in his jeans and every movement kept making it worse. Jake seemed to catch his impatience, leaning back and finally yanking his shirt over his head like it was nothing. His abs were golden, defined and Heeseung could feel the saliva forming in his mouth. His brain blanked for a second and then he gave in and leaned forward to lick a stripe right from his bellybutton up to his jawline, his hands smoothing up his sides like he couldn’t touch him fast enough.

Jake’s hands got bolder too, squeezing Heeseung’s ass through the denim, hard enough to make him gasp. Heeseung barely had time to register the heat flooding through him before Jake tugged at the hem of his shirt and pulled it off him too. The air hit his skin like a shock—cool, bracing—but it didn’t last long. Jake pulled him into his lap with a force that knocked the breath out of him, and Heeseung could feel the thick press of Jake’s cock against him, perfectly obvious now

“I got you,” Jake said, gentle but firm, and then he kissed him again, slower this time. Like he was savoring the moment. Like he wanted to remember the taste of Heeseung’s mouth, the way he trembled when touched just right. “Jesus, you’re gorgeous,” Jake whispered like a prayer, and Heeseung’s stomach flipped. His thighs spread instinctively, offering, craving, shaking just a little.

Jake’s lips found his ear. “Let me take you to bed.” Heeseung barely managed a nod. Jake scooped him up like it’s the easiest thing in the world, carrying him toward the bedroom, and Heeseung clung to him—flushed and wide eyed like a deer in headlights.

Jake kicked the bedroom door shut with his foot, still holding Heeseung like he weighed nothing. His lips were on Heeseung’s neck, kissing a trail down to his collarbone, teeth grazing the skin. Heeseung’s hands ran over Jake’s chest, feeling the hard lines of his abs, the heat of his body. His breath caught in his throat when Jake pulled him down onto the bed, his thighs straddling Heeseung. The weight of him is perfect, a pressure Heeseung craves. He arched into it, into Jake’s touch.

“Fuck, you’re hot like this,” Jake muttered against Heeseung’s neck, one hand already sliding down to the waistband of his briefs. His fingers slipped just underneath, knuckles brushing skin. Heeseung gasped as his hips twitched at the sensation.

Jake pulled back, eyes roaming over him like he was trying to memorize everything. Then he leaned in, kissed the hollow of Heeseung’s throat, and bit lightly. “You gonna let me take care of you?”

Heeseung nodded, breath hitching. “Yeah,” he muttered, barely above a whisper. “Please.”

Jake didn’t waste time. He pulled Heeseung’s underwear down and off, tossed them aside, then stripped his own. Heeseung’s eyes flicked down—he couldn’t help it—and his body tensed with anticipation, also in fear of how that monster was gonna fit in him.

Jake leaned over to grab the little brown bottle again, unscrewed the cap, and took a hit. “Go on.” he encouraged, holding the bottle back up to Heeseung.

Heeseung hesitated for half a second, then took it, inhaled, and let it hit. The head rush came instantly, his whole body relaxed into the feeling. He let out a shaky breath, “shit - okay. I get it.”

He kissed him again—harder this time, more tongue, more bite—and reached down between Heeseung’s thighs, fingers slick with lube before pressing in. One finger, then two. Heeseung arched, grinding down, wanting more already.

“God, you’re so tight,” Jake groaned, scissoring his fingers just enough to make Heeseung flinch. “Gonna need a bit more.”

Heeseung was flushed, panting, gripping Jake’s shoulders like they were the only thing keeping him grounded. “More, I can take it.”

“Yeah?” Jake smirked. “Bet you like feeling wrecked, huh?”

Heeseung didn’t even answer and just pulled Jake down by the neck to kiss him like it was the only thing that mattered.

Jake held the poppers up to Heeseung’s nose for one last hit before slicking himself up and lining up with his fluttering hole. “Breathe,” he muttered, more to himself than anything, and started to push inch by inch.

Heeseung’s breath caught, back arching as he adjusted. The stretch burned in the best way, a blur of heat and pressure and Jake’s low curses in his ear.

Jake started to move, setting a steady rhythm that had Heeseung gasping with every thrust. It was fast and relentless, Jake was fucking into him like he had something to prove.

“You take it so well,” he panted. “Fucking made for this.”

Heeseung couldn’t speak. He just nodded, eyes glazed over, mouth hanging open as the tension built fast. His hands were clawing at Jake’s back, trying to ground himself, but everything felt like it was spinning.

Then Jake hit that spot, hard. Heeseung cried out, body tensing as everything inside him snapped tight.

“Right there?” Jake grunted, hips slamming forward again. “You’re gonna come just like this, huh?”

Heeseung whined and began tensing up, his body going into a pleasure overdrive as he neared his orgasm. Jake kept going, chasing his own high with a few more deep, rough thrusts.

Heeseung came first, his whole body trembling with the force of it, and Jake followed soon after, his breath ragged as he finished inside Heeseung, both of them collapsing onto the bed in a tangled, sweaty mess.

For a moment, neither of them moved. The room is quiet except for the sound of their labored breathing, and Heeseung couldn’t help but smile. Jake looked down at him, his eyes softening.

“You good?” Jake asked, his voice gentle now, he reached over to brush a few sweaty strands from Heeseung’s forehead.

Heeseung just nodded, too fucked out to say much more than that. He was floating, high, and it felt like nothing in the world could touch him in that moment.

Jake chuckled softly, brushing a strand of hair away from Heeseung’s forehead. “You’re incredible, you know that?”

Heeseung smiled again, content, completely spent. “Yeah,” he murmured, “I think I am.”

~~~
Heeseung’s phone buzzed relentlessly on the nightstand, dragging him out of his deep slumber. He groaned, rolling over and swiping at it with a clumsy hand. Jay’s name lit up the screen, stacked on top of a long row of missed notifications.
Where had the night gone? Just a blur of sex and drugs, leaving the party felt like something he’d watched from the outside.
His body ached, specifically his lower half, his neck was probably a mess of marks left by Jake. But there was something unfamiliar about the way he felt now. He certainly felt lighter, almost like he was just holding onto stress with his body. Jay had said he needed to get laid and maybe for once, Jay wasn’t being a smug little shit. Maybe he was right (just this once).
He wasn’t used to this. Sex usually felt quick and mechanical, hence why he didn’t desperately chase after it all this time. But this stuck with him, there was a charge in it like a spark that hasn’t went out. Maybe he really did pick a dance with the devil last night, but he for sure lucked out on it.
The messages looked somewhat urgent, but Heeseung just locked the screen again and tossed the phone aside. He wasn’t ready for the real world yet.
He smiled to himself, fingers brushing over his lip like he could still feel Jake’s mouth on his. He didn’t know what any of it meant, and he wasn’t ready to figure it out. Jake’s arm slid around his waist, pulling him in, and Heeseung let himself drift back to sleep.
