Chapter Text
Shen Jiu shook slightly as he slowly opened his door just enough to where he could slip through without an audible creak. Luo Binghe had been in his home since morning, forcing him to skip breakfast. It had been quiet since Shen Yuan and Luo Binghe's argument ended, and all Shen Jiu could hear now was faint music playing from the living room TV. With thick fluffy socks, he walked out and trailed along the wall. He walked on his tippy toes and took long steps over where he knew the floor would creak. He couldn't risk making a sound.
"Xiao-Jiu," Luo Binghe said as a greeting.
There was no need to hide anymore. Without giving Luo Binghe a response, Shen Jiu stood up and quickly made his way to the kitchen. He only meant to grab a small snack and run back to his room. Since Luo Binghe knew he was there, he decided he might as well prepare something for himself. He walked over to the fridge, grabbing everything he needed to make a sandwich.
Luo Binghe raised the volume of the music. Shen Jiu made his sandwich.
Shen Jiu was very particular about the dishes. He pulled open a drawer that should have contained all the utensils he stored the previous night. He grabbed a small knife, taking notice that the spot for the big knife was empty. Shakily, he cut his sandwich in two perfect triangles. He turned to an empty sink and set the knife inside. With both hands, he grabbed his plate and walked back to his room. As soon as he made it inside, his door was locked. Setting the plate down on his dresser, Shen Jiu crawled onto his bed and began to cry.
There's blood all over the floor. Shen Yuan is on the floor with half-lidded eyes. Finger shaped bruises litter his neck. Luo Binghe smiles and pats his face with one hand as he grabs the TV remote with the other hand and raises the volume. He reaches over to where a large knife is lodged in Shen Yuan's side and pulls it out. The music drowns out Shen Yuan's whine. Luo Binghe sways side to side and mouths the lyrics. He needs me/He needs me/He needs me.
Yuan-ge is going to die.
