Met Gala 2030
The Met Gala, the glittering pinnacle of fashion and culture, had always been a spectacle, but in 2030, it was poised to be unforgettable. The theme, “Celestial Bodies: Fashion and the Cosmos,” had inspired designers to craft looks that shimmered like stars and flowed like nebulae. Among the evening’s most anticipated attendees were former Prince Henry Fox and Texas Democratic Senator Alexander Claremont-Diaz, the power couple whose love story had captivated the world. Their whirlwind romance, a fairytale wedding the previous summer, and their bold move to Austin, Texas, had kept them in the headlines. Tonight, they were stepping onto the red carpet with a secret that threatened to leak weeks before they were ready to tell it to the whole world : Henry was three months pregnant.

In their suite at The Plaza, Henry stood before a full-length mirror, his reflection framed by the opulent gold accents of the room. His tailored suit, a bespoke creation by Dior, was a masterpiece of midnight blue velvet, embroidered with delicate silver threads that mimicked Orion’s constellation. The jacket was cut to accentuate his lean frame, but Henry’s eyes were fixed on the faint curve of his abdomen. At three months, his bump was barely noticeable to anyone who wasn’t looking for it, but to Henry, it felt like a beacon.
“Alex, it’s showing,” Henry said, his voice tight with panic as he smoothed his hands over his stomach. “Everyone’s going to see it. I look like I’ve been smuggling scones under my shirt.”
Alex, who was adjusting his own cufflinks across the room, looked up and grinned. His suit, a sharp black ensemble with a subtle iridescent sheen, made him look like a modern-day god of the night sky. He crossed the room in three strides, his eyes sparkling with mischief and adoration.
“Baby, you look like a fucking constellation,” Alex said, sliding his arms around Henry’s waist from behind. His hands settled gently over Henry’s stomach, his touch warm and grounding. “And this? This is our little star, not a scone. No one’s going to notice unless you keep fussing over it.”
Henry leaned back into Alex’s embrace, his anxiety softening under the familiar weight of his husband’s reassurance. “You’re biased,” he muttered, but a small smile tugged at his lips. “And what if they do notice? The headlines will be relentless. ‘Former Prince Pregnant at Met Gala : Royal Bump Steals the Show.’”
“Then we’ll deal with it,” Alex said, pressing a kiss to the curve of Henry’s neck. “Together. Like we always do. Besides, you’re glowing, H. I’m gonna have to fight off every photographer just to get a moment with you tonight.”
Henry turned in Alex’s arms, his hands finding the lapels of Alex’s jacket. “You’re incorrigible,” he said, but his voice was laced with affection. “And you’re going to ruin my hair if you keep kissing me like that.”
“Worth it,” Alex murmured, stealing another kiss, this one slow and deliberate, until Henry laughed and pushed him away.
“Stop it, you menace,” Henry said, his cheeks flushed. “We have to leave in ten minutes, and I’m not walking the red carpet looking like I’ve been ravished.”
Alex smirked, stepping back to admire his husband. With a tap over Henry’s buttplug, that Alex put in minutes after adding his seeds into Henry to accentuate his bump, smirked at him “Too late for that, sweetheart. You’ve got that ‘ravished by a senator’ glow.”
Henry rolled his eyes, but the tension in his shoulders eased. Alex’s relentless flirting was a balm, a reminder that no matter what the world threw at them, they were a team. Still, as they left the suite and headed for the waiting car, Henry’s hand lingered over his stomach, a silent prayer that their secret would stay safe for just one more night.

The Met Gala red carpet was a dazzling chaos of lights, cameras, and couture. The steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art were transformed into a cosmic dreamscape, with glowing orbs and cascading fabrics evoking distant galaxies. As Alex and Henry stepped out of their car, the crowd erupted. Photographers shouted their names, and fans pressed against the barriers, waving signs that read “We Love FirstPrince!” a nod to the nickname the internet had given them years ago.
Alex, ever the charmer, flashed a megawatt smile and waved, his arm firmly around Henry’s waist. Henry, regal and composed, offered a more reserved smile, his posture perfect despite the nerves churning in his stomach. The press descended like vultures, their questions a rapid-fire assault.
“Senator Claremont-Diaz, how does it feel to attend the Met Gala after your wedding last summer?” shouted a reporter from Vogue.
“It feels like coming home,” Alex called back, his voice warm. “But honestly, I’m just here to make sure Henry doesn’t outshine me too much.”
The crowd laughed, and Henry nudged Alex playfully, his anxiety momentarily forgotten. “As if you could keep up,” he teased, earning another round of cheers.
“Henry, tell us about your move to Austin!” another journalist yelled. “How’s life in Texas treating you?”
“It’s been brilliant,” Henry said, his British accent crisp and polished. “Austin’s vibrant, welcoming, and the barbecue is divine. We’ve settled in beautifully.”
Alex leaned in, his lips brushing Henry’s ear as he whispered, “You’re killing it, baby.” His hand slid lower, resting protectively over Henry’s stomach, hidden by the folds of his jacket. Henry’s heart stuttered, but he kept his smile steady.
The questions kept coming, most of them predictable: details about their wedding at Kensington Palace, their work with the Fox Foundation, Alex’s rising star in the Democratic Party. But then, a reporter from E! News, her microphone thrust forward like a sword, asked, “You two have been married for almost a year. Any plans for a family in the near future?”
Henry froze, a high-pitched squeak escaping his lips before he could stop it. Alex’s hand tightened on his waist, a silent anchor, but the reporters pounced on the reaction like sharks smelling blood.
“Did we hit a nerve, Henry?” the E! reporter pressed, her eyes gleaming.
Before Henry could respond, a waiter glided by with a tray of champagne flutes. “Champagne?” he offered.
Henry shook his head quickly, his voice a touch too sharp. “No, thank you.”
The crowd stilled, and then, from the back of the press line, a familiar voice cut through the noise. “What’s this, Henry? Turning down champagne? Don’t tell me you’re pregnant.”
That voice was Miguel Ramos, a journalist with a notorious grudge against Alex. Their history stretched back to Alex’s law school days, when Miguel, a fellow student, had tried, and failed, to win Alex’s affection, ending up leaking the truth about Alex’s and the Prince relationship and forcing their outing. Since then, Miguel had made a career out of needling Alex in the press, his articles dripping with thinly veiled jealousy. Tonight, he was dressed in a garish gold suit, his smirk as sharp as a blade.
The crowd gasped, and Henry’s face flushed a vivid crimson, the color spreading from his cheeks to the tips of his ears. Alex’s jaw clenched, his eyes narrowing as he stepped forward, placing himself between Henry and the press.
“Back off, Miguel,” Alex snapped, his voice low and dangerous. “You don’t get to throw cheap shots like that.”
Miguel’s smirk widened, undeterred. “Oh, come on, Senator. It was just a joke. Unless…” His eyes flicked to Henry, who was still frozen, his hand hovering over his stomach. “Did I hit a nerve?”
The other journalists, sensing a scoop, surged forward, their questions overlapping in a frenzy. “Henry, are you pregnant?” “Is there a royal baby on the way?” “Senator, care to comment?”
Alex’s temper flared, his protective instincts overriding his usual charm. “Enough!” he barked, his voice cutting through the chaos like a whip. “You want a story? Here’s one: you’re all acting like vultures, and I’m not here for it. My husband doesn’t owe you a damn thing, and neither do I. Back. Off.”
The crowd fell silent, stunned by the senator’s ferocity. Alex’s chest heaved, his hands balled into fists, but he didn’t move from his position in front of Henry, a human shield against the world.
Henry, still reeling, felt a surge of gratitude for Alex’s defense, but he also knew they couldn’t hide forever. The truth was out, or at least close enough to it, and running from it would only fuel the speculation. He took a deep breath, his hand finding Alex’s, and stepped forward, his chin lifted with the quiet strength that had once defined him as a prince.
“Alright,” Henry said, his voice steady despite the tremor in his chest. “Since Miguel seems so desperate for a headline, I’ll give you one.”
The crowd leaned in, microphones poised. Alex turned to Henry, his eyes wide with surprise but brimming with trust. Henry squeezed his hand, drawing courage from the contact.
“Yes, I’m pregnant,” Henry said, his words clear and deliberate. “Three months along, and we’re thrilled. Our child is a blessing, a new chapter for us, and we’re going to protect them fiercely. But let me be clear: Miguel’s little jab wasn’t clever. It was petty, born of jealousy that’s been festering for years because he couldn’t have what Alex and I have.”
A murmur rippled through the crowd, and Miguel’s smirk faltered, his face paling under the scrutiny of his peers. Henry pressed on, his voice gaining strength. “Miguel, you’ll never know what it’s like to carry Alex’s child, to build a life with him, to be loved by him. And that’s your loss, not mine.”
The crowd erupted in cheers, cameras flashing as Henry’s words hung in the air. Alex’s face broke into a grin, his pride so palpable it seemed to light up the night. He pulled Henry close, his lips brushing Henry’s temple as he whispered, “You’re fucking incredible, you know that?”
Henry laughed, the sound shaky but genuine. “I learned from the best.”
Alex turned back to the press, his arm still around Henry, his voice lighter now but no less commanding. “There’s your story, folks. Now, if you’ll excuse us, we’ve got a gala to attend, and my husband’s about to outshine every star in this place.”
The reporters parted, some clapping, others scribbling furiously. Miguel slunk back, his gold suit looking garish and out of place in the wake of Henry’s triumph. As Alex and Henry ascended the steps, the crowd’s cheers followed them, a wave of love and support that drowned out the chaos.

Inside the museum, the gala was a dreamscape of floating planets and shimmering chandeliers. The couple was greeted by a who’s-who of fashion and entertainment, all eager to congratulate them on their news. Anna Wintour herself pulled them aside, her signature sunglasses glinting as she praised Henry’s suit and their “cosmic” announcement.
“You handled that with grace,” she said, her tone approving. “And you, Senator, are as fierce as ever.”
Alex grinned, his hand never leaving Henry’s waist. “Just protecting my family, Anna.”
As the night unfolded, Alex and Henry stole moments between dances and conversations, their flirtation a quiet rebellion against the world’s scrutiny. On the dance floor, Alex pulled Henry close, his hands resting over the slight curve of Henry’s stomach.
“You were a badass out there,” Alex murmured, his lips brushing Henry’s ear. “I’d marry you again right now if I could.”
Henry smiled, his hands sliding up Alex’s chest. “Careful, love. You’ll start a riot if you propose again.”
“Let ‘em riot,” Alex said, spinning Henry with a flourish. “I’d fight the whole world for you and our little star.”
Henry laughed, the sound bright and free. “You’re ridiculous.”
“And you’re mine,” Alex shot back, his eyes sparkling with love.
As they swayed under the glow of a thousand lights, the weight of the night, the questions, the confrontation, the revelation… all melted away. They were Henry and Alex, husbands, soon-to-be parents, and nothing, not even a jealous journalist or a relentless press, could dim their shine.

The next morning, the headlines were ablaze: “Pregnancy at the Met Gala : A Royal Revelation!” “Senator Claremont-Diaz Defends Husband in Epic Showdown!” “Miguel Ramos Schooled by Former Prince!” But the one that mattered most was a simple post on their joint Instagram, a photo of Alex kissing Henry’s bump, his hands cradling Henry’s sides, with the caption: “Our little star is on the way. Thank you for the love. A&H.”
In their Austin home, far from the flashbulbs and chaos, Alex and Henry curled up on the couch, a blanket draped over them. Henry’s hand rested on his bump, Alex’s hand over his, their fingers intertwined.
“You know,” Henry said softly, “I was terrified yesterday. But you made it okay.”
Alex kissed his temple, his voice warm. “You made it okay, H. You’re the strongest person I know.”
Henry smiled, his eyes drifting to the stars visible through their window. “We’re going to be parents, Alex.”
“Yeah,” Alex said, his voice thick with emotion. “All 10 of them are gonna be fucking amazing.”
Henry stilled, but relaxed once he realized that his husband was mocking him. As they sat there, wrapped in each other and the promise of their future, the world outside faded away. They were a constellation, bright and unbreakable, ready to welcome their newest star.
