I've been with Bokuto for around 6 years.
It started in my second year, when Bokuto was graduating and I'm not going to lie no way I was going to make it without Bokuto he was my best friend (though sometimes I wished we were more) and the whole reason I enjoyed playing volleyball.
Even if it meant him graduating, joining MSBY, and finally showing the world his talent I know he always had, a small, selfish part of Akaashi couldn’t be happy for him. That part wanted Bokuto to stay at Fukurōdani—to stay with him—and keep playing volleyball by his side.
So when Bokuto confessed that he had feelings for me I couldn't be happier. THE BOKUTO KOUTAROU had feelings for ME.
Can you believe it!!!
I obviously accepted and we've been dating happily ever since.
Well not really we had some ups and downs due to college and volleyball but we never once let it greatly affect our relationship.
So when Atsumu joined MSBY , Bokuto immediately took a liking to him.
He was a really good setter better than i ever was, and i was glad Atsumu was Bokutos setter.
Since he generally brought the best out of him, he push Bokuto to his limits, and sometimes dealt with his emo modes or mode swings, and I couldn't be more thankful.
Astumu and I were somewhat close, I love his brother restaurant it's one of my all time favorites, so after practice or a hard match I treat them to Onigari Miya as a congratulations or as a thank you for taking care of Bokuto.
Although when Hinata and Sakusa joined MSBY, I notice some subtle changes about Atsumu.
He was rather different infront of Sakusa, he became rather flustered or something deeper I couldn't pin point it exactly but I could tell there was something, perhaps a crush?
I couldn't tell but I felt bad for assuming, so I kept my mouth shout about it.
But I told Bokuto about it though, because we tell each other everything and surprisingly he felt the same.
He told me all they did was bicker with each other but it felt flirty or sexual, but he couldn't tell if it was Atsumus personality or if they had a crush on each other.
Most people believe Bokuto an airhead, but he's surprisingly perceptive.
So the biggest shock was when I open Twitter and see he that my boyfriend is cheating on me with Atsumu?
Even though I know Bokuto would never do that, and the articles told unreliable reasons and showed blurry photos.
Most of the photos that were showed was all three of us together, but I was covered up due to Bokuto and Atsumu larger builds.
But the biggest shock was did nobody know Bokuto and I were dating?

I only had moring pratice then I could spend the rest of the day with Akaashi.
Today is pretty nice too, I should take him on a date it's been ages since we went on one.
Onigiri Miya? No we go there too much.
Maybe that fancy Italian place, Keijis been wanting to go there forever.
I was pretty lost in thought that I didn't realize I was already infront of the gym and while entering I heard screams , mockery, and laughter.
"Hey hey hey! What's got everyone in this mood?" I ask completely oblivious to what was happening.
Everyone turned to me then suddenly there was silence.
All eyes on me, my heart skips, my brain blanks.
Did I say something weird? Is my shirt inside out? A beat passes.
Then the whole room bursts into laughter.
Thomas snorts. Inunaki falls off the bench. Meian and Sakusa try to hold in the laughter but fail. Hinita wiping tears from their eyes. While Atsumus on the floor pouting.
"BOKKUN!!! HAVE YA NOT SEEN TWITTER!!!!" Atsumu screamed
"Well no was I suppose too?" I replied utterly confused.
"YES!" Atsumu replied with his hands crossed and a big pout on his lips. honestly what was so bad it it got everyone like this?
Apparently it was worse than I thought.

MSBY JACKALS BOKUTO AND ATSUMU DATING SPECULATION
MSBY’s Miya Atsumu (23) and MSBY’s Koutarou Bokuto (24) were spotted at a local family-run restaurant call Onigiri Miya on Friday night.

After reading all of them to say I was shocked was understatement.
"What the hell!?" I say after reading through all these articles, did people really have nothing better to do then to say he had a crush on Atsumu when he literally has the prettiest boyfriend in the world?
"The funny thing is that you both single who knows maybe you two are dating!" Inunaki remarked while clutching his stomach in pain due to him laughing so much.
"SHUT UPPP!!!" Atsumu replied the pout on his lips getting bigger.
But I froozed, No I'm pretty sure I'm dating Akaashi right? Did nobody know? I thought we made it pretty obvious.
"Huh?" I asked genuinely confused, did no-one know about me and Akaashi? Everyone stared at me like I grew a third head or something.
"What do you mean?" Hinata asked.
"What I mean is how am I single? I've been dating Akaashi for around 6 years." I replied. Drop dead silence, it was so silent you could hear a pin drop.
"What" Sakusa said after a long dreadful moment.
Why was this so surprising? Our relationship isnt a secret and to be honest we were pretty obvious.
"Why are you guys so shocked? We were so obvious. When he's here watching our games he specifically wears my jersey, when pratice ends late he brings me food, and we walk home holding hands, I'm pretty sure he kissed me on the lips or atleast on my cheek infront of you guys!!!"
Everybody took a moment to connect the dots in their head then a collective 'OOH' sound was made.
There was many problems with this, first of all that did nobody know were dating? Second of all that the entire media thought Atsumu and I were dating, and third of all was Akaashi mad or uncomfortable about this?
God I hope not.
I wouldn't of guess out of all things that I would be having an alleged relationship with Atsumu out of all people in the team but I wanted this rumor to end quickly and for everyone to just forget about it.

After practice ended (I went home early to discuss things with Akaashi) I ran home, it didn't help that 3 news reporter asked me about this stupid fake relationship with Atsumu.
When I arrive to the front door of our house, I rushed to get my keys and open the door. Anxious thoughts running through my head.
Only to realize Akaashi was on the couch reading a book, and apparently waiting for me.
"Keiji!!!" I ran towards him and sat next to him on the couch pulling him into a hug.
"So Koutarou your suddenly cheating on me with Atsumu!?" he asked sarcastically while resting on my chest.
"Keijiiiii" I answered with a pout and he let a soft laugh.
It was a rare soft laugh, to show he was amused rather than mad hearing it always makes my day, it's so soft yet so firm, so feminine with a tinge of masculinity.
It made all my anxious thoughts about him being mad or uncomfortable about this vaish into thin air.
As I was thinking about his sweet laugh I realized I was staring at him with such a goofy smile.
"Koutarou are you okay?"
"Oh yeah all good Keiji but I am mad about the whole rumor....you know I would cheat on you right!!?? Especially with Atsumu right? like hes a good person don't get me wrong but-"
"Koutarou don't talk about him like that!! it's so rude!" Akaashi scolded lightly hitting my arm "But to answer your question yes I know you wouldn't cheat on me, especially since the pictures they took you guys were with me but your hunky bodies blocked me, and the person you kissed in the car was me...im pretty sure."
"Keijiii" I pouted "Don't joke like that you know I would never"
He laughed another time, clearly enjoying teasing me.
"Yes Kou I know but did nobody know we were dating I thought we made it obvious, or is the internet that absurd that they're making a taken man look like he's dating someone else?"
"Keiji I'm not joking when I say this but apparently nobody knew we're dating, I told the team today and they didn't even know can you belive it! They thought I was pranking them or something!!"
"Really? I'm pretty sure we kissed atleast once infront of them, but even if we didn't we're very obvious."
"That's exactly what I told them! Keiji i think you can actually read my mind, but how do you want to address this rumors? I don't want people believing I'm dating Astumu when I have someone way better."
"Hey don't say that! But I have a couple of ideas see if you like them."
I smiled warmly before kissing his cheek, pulling him closer.
"We have a reservation in half an hour by the way" I said breaking the silence.
Akaashi jumped off the couch and punched my arm.
"Ow! Keiji!" I whined "Whay was that for?"
"Kou why didn't you tell me before!?"
"Oops?"
"Kou!" Keji whined "Where are we going?"
"The Italian place you've been wanting to go to"
"You remembered?"
"Of course I did!" I glanced at the clock "Now you actually have half an hour to get ready"
Keiji kissed my cheek and ran towards our room to get ready.
Yeah I definitely have someone better.

This match was pretty important, It was MSBY Jackals vs EJP Raijin.
I always love playing against them because they're so talented and it's always so tiring to play against them but so worth it in the end even if we lost.
Each time we play against them, they improve and become more of a challenge.
Although what was even more exciting is that alot of people who texted me about the rumor of Atsumu and I dating were here.
The people being Suna, Osamu, Aran, Kita, And Komori.
Kuroo and Kenma were here but they only teased Akaashi and I, of course they knew we were dating we went on double dates all the time.
The match was a tough one, it was so tiring and extremely exhausting but it was so thrilling and exciting at the same time.
Raijins were such a tough opponent and such a powerhouse. The match was a close one but it resulted in MSBY claiming victory.
As we shock hands after the match was over, we went went straight to the interviews.
"Hello my name is Akane Sato and I'll be interviewing the MSBY Jackals today! Let's get started shall we?" After the interview started that's when we and Akaashis plan came into action.
"So Astumu rumor has it your dating someone in your team , perhaps Bokuto rings any bells?" The reporter asked curiously
"Well sorry to break anyones bubble but those are just rumors there's nothin' other than platonic with me and bokkun" Astumu answered with a annoyed smile.
As Atsumu was answering other questions I saw from the corner of my eye Akaashi walking to me, suddenly all the fatigue vanish and I ran towards him and engulfed him in a hug even lifting him up a few centimeters.
"Keiji!!! I missed you"
"I missed you too Kou, didn't you hear me cheering your name? "
"Of course I did, I swear I always play better when your watching" I replied while finally putting him on the ground "Did you lose any weight Keiji? You feel lighter."
"Kou I think you just got stronger, look at your muscles they've definitely gotten bigger." he let out a soft chuckle and I swear I just feel in love with him all over again.
"Hell yeah Keiji i definitely got stronger!" I answer flexing my muscles while trying some ridiculous poses.
We were so wrapped up into the moment that we didn't notice the camera filming us.
"Oh my Bokuto, may I ask who is this? " The reporter asked as she stepped closer pushing the camera and mic right in front of us.
I immediately looked at Akaashi and he gave me a slight nod as to give me permission to say.
"Um yea this is Akaashi Keiji, my boyfriend of six years."
"Oh my six years, that's alot of time" she said with a smile on her face. "May I ask you some questions Akaashi?" she asked briefly looking at Bokuto before turning all her attention on Akaashi
"Yes I don't mind"
"Well you are rather the attractive guy aren't you! Well start by asking how did you and Bokuto meet?"
"Well we meet in high school I was a setter , he was the spiker. So after that we started spending more time with each other inside and outside of school."
"Wow you played volleyball, why did you quit?"
"Well I love the game don't get me wrong, but I don't have the passion like Bokuto or other professional volleyball players do. I like the game but I just couldn't see myself going pro."
"Well that's unfortunate, but fans right now are dying to know how did you know you were in love with Bokuto?" she asked curiosity showing in her tone.
"Well" It took Akaashi a moment before continuing.
"I guess I've always been in love with him without realizing it. We've been dating since my second year of high school and it felt right. Like a part of me I didn't know was missing, I mean who couldn't love him he's so kind, caring, and gentle also super attractive don't get me wrong" he let out a quiet laugh
"But that wasn't what made me fall for him, loving Kou comes so easy to me. It’s like breathing, something that I don't even have to think about. I think it might have been his smile, or his energy. He lights up every room he walks into, his personality is so bright like the sun, but he can also be so emotionally mature he knows how to read me like an open book and know how I'm feeling without me saying it verbally. He's like the sun of my life something I couldn't live without, something I couldn't even imagine ever living without. He has such a kind, caring, pure soul he only deserves the best and I'm honored to be called his boyfriend and try to give him what he deserves. He's my star, the brightest in the whole sky."
Akaashi finally stop talking and a bunch of cheering abrupts.
He looked around for the first time after he finished talking and there was a bunch of genuine smiles, shocked but happy faces, and some were on the verge of tears.
Akaashi looked up to see the reporters face and there was some tears falling down her face, Akaashi turned to Bokuto and sees his expression it's a shocked mixed with happy and just pure love.
It made Akaashi get all nervous and flustered.
"Sorry did I say too much?" Akaashi asked letting out a nervous chuckle, the reporter quickly wiped the tears from her face.
"No it's just- that was so sweet" she replied with a genuine smile growing on her face.
I noticed how Bokuto was staring at me for about 5 minutes now.
"Kou you good?"
Bokuto didn't reply instead he tackled me in a hug throwing us both on the ground with me landing on top of him.
"Kou ewww your all sweaty!" I said sarcastically but I returned the hug feeling happier than ever.
"Well lovebirds" the reporter chuckled "We do have a few questions left then we'll be out of your hair" Bokuto and I quickly lifted ourself from the floor so we could answer
"An yes ask away" Bokuto replied
"Well..why did you and Akaashi keep your relationship a secret for so long?"
Bokuto and I laughed at the question
"You want me to answer or do you?" I asked
"I'll answer don't worry about it" he replied
"Well to be honest we never knew it was a secret, we thought we were pretty obvious. we were both suprised when the rumors came out because we thought everyone knew we were dating" he answered with chucking
"An that's quite funny but Bokuto are you cheating on Akaashi, how can you defend yourself about the photos?"
"Well first of all in all the pictures with atsumu, Keiji was with us I guess he got blocked from me and Atsumu. But if your talking about the car photo we'll the person I was kissing was Keiji of course!"
"An we'll that does make alot of sense!"
"Do you have anymore questions?" I asked because truthfully I'm done with this whole interview.
"Yes this is the last one, how did you guys feel about the whole rumor? Let's start with you Akaashi"
"Well personally i found it funny, especially since I know Koutarou would never do that to me, I hope now since this whole thing is over we can just laugh back on it"
"Good answer! Now Bokuto what about you, how did you feel about the rumor?"
"Well truthfully i felt awkward not that I don't like Atsumu he's a great friend don't get me wrong but the fact that the title lover can be taken so easily. I just didn't want my fiance Keiji to feel uncomfortable about it....." Bokuto continued talking, but I wasn't listening.
I was stuck on the part where he called me his fiance.
since when are we engaged?
"Koutarou"
"Yeah Keiji"
"Since when are we engaged?"
"Well since now"
"What? how does that make sense-" the words died in my mouth, when I turned to Bokuto and he was already down on one knee.
"Keiji you are the love of my life something I actually can't live without. When the rumor came out it made me realize that the word boyfriend can be taken away and put on someone else so easily, it made me realize how long we've been together and how I don't want to be with anybody but you. I love waking up next to you, eating together, bathing together, sleeping together, all that brings me so much joy and I don't want you as my boyfriend, I want you to be my husband Bokuto Keiji hell I'll be Akaashi Koutarou, or whatever I don't care keep your name. I just want to be able to call you my husband. When I saw you in your first year it felt like whatever I was missing in life finally came to me, after Kuroo spent over 3 months begging me to confess to you, and I'm glad he did. I love you Kaashi nothing with ever change that. So, will you do the honors of marrying me?" Bokuto looked at me with so much love in his eyes that I probably fell in love with him all over again.
I nodded slowly tears of joy forming in my eyes, as he put the ring on my finger.
When he slid the ring in my ring finger I didn't wait a second until I jumped into his arms stumbling us straight into the floor, i lifted him up and pressed a kiss on his lips, in that moments it felt like it was just us.
The kiss slowly started becoming more heated until our lungs were practically begging us for air.
When we pull apart we could hear the loud cheering of everyone.
When we decided to join the others they all quickly congratulated us.
"You smooth bastard" Kuroo smirked
Bokuto chuckled while Kenma congratulated us.
"Wow Bokkun yer cheating on me?" Astumu asked jokingly but he got smacked in the head by Sakusa.
"Don't be rude Miya, congratulate them" Sakusa scolded while walking away
"I was gonna Omi wait a second, congratulations guys!" Atsumu shouted before chasing after Sakusa.
When Atsumu starting cashing Sakusa, Koutarou and I gave each other a look.
Bokuto and I thanked everyone who congratulated us and left.

A few hours later Bokutos proposal went viral, everyone deleted the Atsumu rumor and replaced it with my speech and Bokuto proposal.
Its not that we cared about the rumor in the first place, but it's nice that everyone forgot about it.
But that's not our top priority right now, our top priority is our wedding.
I cant wait to spend the rest of my life with my soon to be husband.
