Raijin, the Keeper of Time, also known as the god of thunder, guided souls to paradise and the cycle of reincarnation, giving them peace and another chance of life. The tale goes that one eventful moment, the timekeeper fell in love with a mortal.
She was a mortal, a kind soul, a pause being in the never-ending cycle of repetition, and even knowing her time was short she lived each lifetime to the fullest. Each time she neared death, light hesitated. He watched, drawn to her light.
On the final night, she stood before him ready.
“Are you here to take me?” she asked.
“Your time is near,” he said.
“Then why are you hesitant?” knowing the truth even without him saying a word.
"You have given me more time than I deserved,” she said."
You deserve more, " he said.
“But you are the Keeper, and I cannot let you lose yourself for me.”
He didn’t know why he hesitated to take her, so he gave her more time. They spent days together, and for the first time, he felt the love that's what happened written in the stars, wind, and soul. The people this tale of their God the God of the hidden leaf. She was his greatest friend and loved. But he could not stop fate and he must follow his destiny as the world needed balance.

"Hmm." The timekeeper hummed placing a kiss on her temples.
She held his hand. “You gave me love. Our memories will forever be in here.” placing her hand near his chest. "Always with you" and with a final smile, she was gone. Raijin returned to his duty, but now he understood—love never fades and the tale goes that through the trees, wind, and leaf a soul is put to peace. The old village where the keeper's light used to live is now known as Hidden Leaf.
"A wonderful tale isn't it?" Sakura tells her daughter and her friend to seated together.
The young girl giggled and answered.
"That was a sad tale mama, you also think so Boruto?" Holding the hand of the young boy beside her as she smiled.
The boy hummed and smiled.
Another version of the tale tells that the cycle of rebirth was challenged by the keeper aiming to be with his light.
But the truth is that he is slowly forgetting her face, her scent, and the sound of her voice but the love he held for her remained.
