Work Header

Which Yoo Joonghyuk is yours?

Summary:

Kim Dokja had enough of Yoo Joonghyuk, so what could be a better idea than to force the protagonist to jump into a lake to cool himself down?
But the reader did not anticipate that instead of the angry, wet protagonist coming out of the water, he will see a person with a giant starry-sky like veil levitating out, holding two different and sexier versions of his companion, then even asking which one is his.

or

Golden-silver axe au with multiple outcomes, mostly focused on joongdok and plotja. Each chapter shows a different answer.

Notes:

I didn't want to spoiler which kkomas appear, so I didn't put them into the tags.

Also, alternative title: Which Yoo Joonghyuk is the yours? The grumpy? The grumpier? Or the grumpiest?

Chapter 1

Notes:

Little backstory of the work:
Originally, this was one of my other ORV fanfic's Omakes, but I got more ideas for it, that much it became too long as an Omake even as a draft, so I made it to a stand-alone fanfic. Now thinking back, a +10 000 words omake for a +6000 words chapter would have been weird.

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

Kim Dokja and Yoo Joonghyuk were bickering near a lake, then the reader had enough of the other so he threw the protagonist's sword into the lake. "Go after your sword and cool down your head!"

"Tch." The protagonist jumped into the water, but then even though the water was clear and shallow, somehow the reader couldn't see him underwater.

"Hm?" Kim Dokja leaned ahead to confirm that he really couldn't see the other, that maybe this lake was a portal, but then the water began to bubble, so he jumped back.

A man covered in a veil has levitated like some kind of god, with open arms. "Poor constellation who lost his companion. Tell me, is this your companion, or this one?" He asked as he held out two bubbles with one-one person in them. One had two prosthetic limbs, an arm and a leg and an eye patch, while the other had many scars and soulless expressions.

"Is your Yoo Joonghyuk this physically disabled one?" The god lifted the one with an eye patch. "Or the mentally disabled one?" Then raised the other.

"..." Kim Dokja couldn't answer. He just gaped, letting the cool air from the lake enter his mouth, but it was unable to cool down his overheating brain. 'First of all, Secretive Plotter, what in the name of Hades are you doing here!? What is this set up!? It feels familiar, but I can't remember where... probably from a novel... but who is in the bubbles...?'

'!!! Is he 1863rd!? But-but he had died! Did he get captured by Plotter after regressing again!? Was I used by him, so he could get Yoo Joonghyuk's soul!? Or did he do all of this, so he could ask something bigger in exchange for 1863's soul!? But if he has 1863, then who is the other Yoo Joonghyuk...?'

'!!! Is-is that the 999th turn!? Definitely! Only that Yoo Joonghyuk has lost two limbs and an eye...? Only one eye? He has lost both, but with an eye patch he looks better, and it is better if he can see... Yes, he is 999! The Character Summary says so, too! He is the Yoo Joonghyuk who would rather jump into the monsters' mouth than throw his 'companions into it'! But how does Plotter have his soul!? Don't tell me! Was it Plotter who 999 had a contract with!?'

'Now I can save one of them, but who knows what happens with the other... maybe Plotter will use his soul to bargain, or eat it, so he can enjoy my despair at the sight... he may be an outer god, but he has acted like a constellation until now...'

Kim Dokja was in deep thoughts, so much that he even forgot about his true companion who was trapped underwater as the surface turned into solid when he tried to punch it.

He glanced at the blue window next to him.

<Hidden scenario - Which Yoo Joonghyuk is yours?>

Type: Hidden
Difficulty: ???
Clear Condition(s): Choose your Yoo Joonghyuk.
Time Limit: Unlimited
Reward: ???
Failure: ???
* Rewards may be not given if the judge does not wish to give one because of your choice.
** The judge may reward you based on your choice even if you have failed the scenario.

"..." Kim Dokja looked at Secretive Plotter. "I want the physically disabled one!"

"!!!" All Yoo Joonghyuk got alerted to this as all of them got annoyed for some reasons, of course, except for 999.

Only Plotter's mouth could be seen because of the veil, but it could be seen perfectly that he was displeased by this choice, and then even spoke with disgust. "You were too greedy, so won't be rewarded."

"Eh?" The reader was dumbfounded as he just made a choice.

"Wait!?" 999 was taken back that his freedom was rejected, and looked betrayed at his main body, as this wasn't what was promised by him. He tried to escape, but the water bubble was too strong.

"..." 1863 pulled his legs closer, and buried his face into his knees, trying to hide how much sad he was by the reader's decision, and slowly his regression depression costumed him again.

Yoo Joonghyuk in the water was feeling betrayed and furious, so he punched the water surface and as Plotter wasn't paying attention to him, he could get out and appeared in front of his companion. "Tch."

"Yoo-Yoo Joong-!" Kim Dokja was taken back by him, but before he could finish his name, the other had punched in the stomach. "Ghu!" The squid, as he had lost his balance, was picked up with ease, and he was taken away like a shack of potato.

The scenario window informed him during the kidnap that he had failed the scenario and the penalty is: fury of Yoo Joonghyuks.

He later experienced the anger of Yoo Joonghyuks, though he never found out why they were furious at him for choosing 999. Han Sooyoung had no idea what happened, but she laughed every time he got tormented by the protagonists.

Notes:

Omake: (Because I am lazy to make a new chapter for this idea)

SP: "Which Yoo Joonghyuk is yours? The silver? Or the golden?" *points at two YJH wearing golden and silver coat instead of black.*
KDJ: "What is the difference between them? Though neither, both hurts my eyes."
SP: "Then how about a white coat?"
KDJ: *thinks back to 1863rd YJH* "Good."
SP: "Then let's go." *places his hand to KDJ's waist and lead him away*
KDJ: "Eh?"
YJHs: *unsheathe their swords*

Chapter 2

Notes:

All new choice will start from chapter 1's scenario window, except if it is shown that it starts somewhere else.

Chapter Text

"..." Kim Dokja looked up at Secretive Plotter. "I want the mentally disabled one!"

"... Alright." Plotter was pleased with this decision, though he had felt a sour taste in his mouth, and guided the bubble in front of the reader, which burst out as it reached the grass.

"Kim Dokja." 1863 hugged tight, making sure the other will remain with him, so with this new chance, they won't need to be separated.

"Yoo-Yoo Joonyghuk?" Kim Dokja was surprised by the sudden warmth and big chest, which he could bury his face into. But even with this affection he couldn't help but to tremble. "Sorry..."

"... I am fine..." He answered as he knew why the other was apologetic, he felt the same as he knew how he felt as he sacrificed himself.

The squid petted his head, in which the sunfish leaned more and more into, like a touch-starved dog. "Let's speak somewhere else."

1863 nodded, and released the other. The regressor followed his companion, like a dog its owner, and this act brought nostalgia to both of them, as this is how they traveled in the past.

999 looked at the pair with a sad expression. He was happy for 1863, the other who was close to the end, for getting a companion who could understand him, but at the same time, he felt a little jealous and disappointed as it wasn't him by Kim Dokja's side.

Yoo Joonghyuk got costumed by depression as he heard the answer. Fear overtook him, and he desperately tried to get out, to inform his companion about his existence. He felt betrayed, his face cracked in misery, he couldn't believe as soon as he thought he wasn't abandoned by his companion for years, he leaves with the same man, with the same regression of his, again.

But no matter how many times he hit the water surface, he couldn't break the barrier. He tried to yell, but the water, which wasn't a problem until now, suddenly didn't let him breathe. He tried everything in despair, but it was futile, as he slowly suffocated, and lost his consciousness.

Secretive Plotter smirked at the sight of the pitiful 3rd turn, he was pleased to see the regression, who got everything, in despair. Though, as he looked at the pair who was leaving, his chest tightened.

Two scenario windows dinged, but weren't noticed by anyone, saying:

<Hidden scenario cleared.>

<Reward: 1863rd timeline's Yoo Joonghyuk.>

<Hidden Scenario failed. You didn't choose your own Yoo Joonghyuk.>

<Penalty: Death of the current timeline's Yoo Joonghyuk.>

In a few hours, Han Sooyoung was gaping at the sight of Kim Dokja followed by Yoo Joonghyuk, who now looked more calm, pitiful and injured than before, and then suddenly they stopped and the squid petted the other's hair! "What the hell is this!?"

"Oh, Han Sooyoung." Kim Dokja greeted her, but he was confused by her words before he looked between her and Yoo Joonghyuk and understood the problem. "Ah, he is Yoo Joonghyuk from the 1863rd timeline, where I was in the past. Some things had happened, and now he is here."

"1863? That explains the personality..." She actually had more to ask, but decided to confirm one thing quickly. "Does our bastard know about him?"

"..."

"So he doesn't?"

Kim Dokja refused to look at any of them. "... I forgot him in the lake."

". . . Heh? Lake? What lake!?" Her voice went higher and higher as she was confused as fuck.

"Well... he jumped into a lake after his sword... and then I got 1863..." He was really nervous for some reason, but couldn't figure it out why.

"... Don't tell me it was the same as in the golden-silver axe story?"

"... Oh, that is why it was so familiar."

Han Sooyoung slapped her own face, and groaned. "You idiot. You have traded that bastard for this bastard! Though, based on the story, you should have gotten either nothing or everything... " She murmured the last part, but she had no idea whether she should laugh at Yoo Joonghyuk's misery, cry at their stupidity, angry for the trade, or welcome the new, weird, dog-like protagonist.

Speaking of him, he was just staring at them the whole time not paying too much attention to the writer's despair.

"..." Kim Dokja started shaking because he realized what happened. He completely forgot about his Yoo Joonghyuk, and exchanged his life for 1863's, which meant, even if he had saved the latter, he had abandoned the former, probably left his soul with Secretive Plotter, or let him drown and regress... The reader had broken down, just like when 1863 had left him in the past.

Chapter Text

Kim Dokja shrugged as he spread out his arms and asked in a disappointed tone: "Don't you have something else?" Then he placed his chin onto his hand, showing he was thinking. "Like... a child Yoo Joonghyuk!" He exclaimed as he put up his index finger showing he got an idea. "Or maybe a female version! She definitely would be at least as beautiful as Punisher is! But..." He made a smirk. "A Yoo Joonghyuk in a chinese dress and garter belts would be the best!" He declared with joy and a smile.

". . ." All protagonists were gaping at this shit, even 1863 couldn't hide his surprise.

"What is with that look?" Kim Dokja looked weirdly at Plotter. "Yoo Joonghyuk is my Life and Death Companion, so of course I wouldn't trade him away that easily." He spouted this bullshit with a shit eating smirk.

"... Then be happy with your incompetent one." Plotter answered with a sigh, and then turned away to a portal where he disappeared with the bubbles, in which both sunfish were looking away from the reader with hurt and betrayed expressions.

"... Sad." Kim Dokja only said this as his companion climbed out of the water with his recovered sword. "Oh, Yoo Joongh-"

"Shut up." The protagonist commanded as he grabbed the other's collar and started dragging him. One could only see rage on his face, but actually it showed pain, depression and betrayal. 'Why? Why can I be enough for you? Why can't I be the one you want and not my other selves? Why do you need to go after them, and leave me? Why can't I make you stay? Why my current self not sufficient for you?'

"..." Kim Dokja, oblivious to the other's thoughts, decided to keep quiet now as he looked into the scenario window which told him that the scenario was forced to end because the judge has left, so he neither got reward, nor penalty.

About a week passed since this incident, which caused Plotter to become silent in the chat, and Yoo Joonghyuk avoiding Kim Dokja, but now changes happened. 'Big changes, and big chests, too.' Thought Kim Dokja as he looked ahead of himself.

An angry Punisher was sitting on him while strangling him with both hands, forcing him to lie on his back 'This feels so familiar, but super hot at the same time.' Kim Dokja was scared of dying in shame now because he was unsure whether he could recover from this.

[Kim Dokja is an idiot.]

"Kim Dokja, right?" She asked with disgust.

He gulped. "... Yes, ma'am."

"Tch." The grip tightened around his neck, making the breathing harder and the situation hotter. "I will come back every month on a random day. If you are not here... I think you know the consequences." She tightened the grip even more.

The reader had to gasp for air to be able to answer. "Yes~."

"Use Lie Detection." She ordered.

<Lie Detection has confirmed that the message is truthful.>

"Good." Kim Dokja felt his ears burning and Fourth wall thinning as he heard this. "I will come back." Punisher declared, got up and then left the room.

The reader sat up and tried to even out his breathing. 'Shit!' He thought.

[Kim Dokja is a lucky bastard for not getting caught.]

"Indeed." He let out a sigh and quickly ran to another room and locked it with one hand as he took off his pants with the other one. He was hard. "Ha..." He groaned in embarrassment as he started touching himself. "Shit, why did this happen? And why was it so nostalgic?"

[Kim Dokja is an idiot.]

"You have said that many times." He retorted back, but he had another problem to deal with instead of arguing with a wall.

Kim Dokja then avoided everyone for a day, and Yoo Joonghyuk for a week, though, when the sunfish asked why, he only answered it was just by instinct, as he was unsure why he avoided the protagonist, too.

Later. Kim Dokja was in front of N'gai's throne room, or so he thought it was, and was ready to face the outer god who was quite silent since the incident, of course except that he was kidnapped by him.

He opened the door, but was not ready for what welcomed him.

On the throne was a Yoo Joonghyuk with a veil and an oversized white dimensional coat, who looked about 13 years old.

Next to him, a Yoo Joonghyuk stood like a knight, who was wearing a chinese dress and garter belts, also a necklace with 41 written on it. He had a spear, which made his look a little witch-like, too. Both of them were normal human sized, unlike the kkomas.

The squid was gaping while taking his phone out and taking a picture.

"..." Nobody said anything, but the rat used this chance to close the distance and take 41's hands into his own.

"I-I will take responsibility!" He declared with a serious tone, even if he stuttered at the beginning, but it was enough to shock everyone to their core and unable to answer.

". . ? !"

"But with this, will Biyoo be an older or a younger sister?" This question was innocent, but the answer was violent.

41 struck him with his spear's end on impulse,

which...

well...

made Kim Dokja faint.

Everyone just stared, but then 777 went closer and poked the bleeding head. "Oh, he is dead."

And chaos erupted.

Notes:

RIP KDJ, he arrived too late to be forgiven for abandoning the mother with almost 2000 children. Though, from KDJ's viewpoint, the mother is 41 and not SP.

Chapter Text

Kim Dokja pondered for a second, but then turned back to the outer god to give his answer. "I want back my grumpy, aggressive Yoo Joonghyuk, who is also my Life and Death Companion."

Yoo Joonghyuk's eyes widened as he made a relieved sigh, which didn't let the water into his mouth because of some unknown force. He was actually scared when the reader was told to choose, he was afraid of betrayal and abandonment.

He was annoyed by the adjectives used, but being called a companion made this feeling disappear as the squid rarely called them by this title (when he was serious), even though the Yoo Joonghyuk used it quite a lot of times, which made him think that the title was one-sided even though the other was who offered to use it.

"... You weren't greedy, so you shall receive your reward." Plotter declared, though, he seemed to be a little irritated.

<Hidden scenario cleared.>

<The scenario was cleared with a perfect answer.>

<Highest reward given: Secretive Plotter and Yoo Joonghyuks of all timelines except the 0th.>

"Eh?" Kim Dokja was dumbfounded by the sudden, huge reward, and that Plotter opened some portal from where hundreds of Yoo Joonghyuk kkomas poured out, and 999 and 1863 shrunken into the same kkomas, too.

Yoo Joonghyuk, seeing the crowd, tried to escape, which now was successful, he thought probably because Kim Dokja chose him. His upper half was out of the water and even opened his mouth to call his companion, but dozens of kkomas jumped onto his head, trampling him back to the water, not letting him be the first who reaches the reader.

He grappled the edge where the land started and tried to pull himself up, but got more kkomas now into his face and got pushed back, but his grip was strong enough, so didn't fall back. He tried a second time, succeeding to crawl his upper body to the land, but then a yell stopped him.

"Wait!" Kim Dokja shouted, which caused all Yoo Joonghyuks to stop. The only ones who moved a little more were those who just jumped onto Yoo Joonghyuk's head, trampling and making the protagonist's jaw drill a little hole into the ground.

The sunfish wasn’t happy by the humiliation, but now he had something else to pay attention to, so he only growled one and looked (stared) at his companion.

"..." The squid inspected his surroundings, which 'surprisingly' mostly contained Yoo Joonghyuks. While the army scared the shit out of him, but also admired and wanted to hug all kkomas, he was quite annoyed, too, as he knew if he can't deal even with one sunfish, he won’t be able to handle +1000 ones’ personality, too.

"Secretive Plotter." The outer god tensed up at his name, but was ready to give a smirk, as he thought he would be the first to get him, but how wrong he was. "When I meant I want back my companion, I only meant him, and not thousands of mini versions of him."

"... That is the best reward you can get, you should know this. legend." Plotter started to sweat as he had a bad feeling at the young constellation’s hesitation.

"Legend...? Ah! The lake with axes!"

[Kim Dokja blamed himself for forgetting about this story.]

"I understand it then, but still..." He again trailed off, and didn’t finish his words. He seemed nervous, as if he was afraid of the anger of the sunfish. Well... he indeed was.

The kkomas were ready to call him a fool and other things, to make him finally tell what his problem was. Even Yoo Joonghyuk got enough of the silence and growled. "Kim Dokja."

"..." He sighed. "This is the problem. I already have a problem surviving you, do you think I could live the next day with multiple of you saying ’die’ every hour?"

"One can hold back and take care of an aggressive dog, but if there are a thousand of them, then you can’t watch over every single of them, see who they bite, and when the leash is pulled from multiple directions then your body will be torn apart."

"Or it is the same with bombs. You can throw away one at the last second, but you can’t multiple, nor can you know if there isn’t one next to you that will kill you, too."

"Hell, even one of you is too much. No matter your looks, the fact that your personality is shit is what kills people. Even women say that they won’t marry a man just because of their handsome face, or great body if their personality is shit, because personality is the most important."

Every one of them froze at these words. While they were just annoyed at the start, the last part 'won’t marry' stuck with them, and both times Kim Dokja brought up that he will die if there are more than a few of them around him. They may try threatening the reader, but that is their love language, so they do not wish for his death.

"So I only want my Yoo Joonghyuk, and not the others." Kim Dokja declared.

[Kim Dokja is lying.]

'... Maybe a few kkomas... but based on that 999 and 1863 could transform between forms, if I pinched one of theirs’ cheeks, then I would die. Currently it isn't worth that much, maybe later.'

[Kim Dokja isn't afraid of death by Yoo Joonghyuks, but the what if scenario if he comes back in life.]

'...'

Yoo Joonghyuk was feeling conflicted by the words, as it meant that he could be again the one who kills Kim Dokja, also that he is too much for the reader, that much he would run to death if there was more than one of him. But then there was the feeling of relief of him being the only one to be chosen and smirked faintly.

"..." Plotter was clearly displeased at being rejected, especially because the only one who wasn't was the despicable, worthless fake 3rd turn. He was furious as he looked at the sunfish's smirk on this situation, so Plotter used every brain cell of his to figure out how to wipe it down.

"Alright." The outer god said so, but he started walking toward the squid and picked up one of the kkomas. Then stopped in front of the bewildered reader who was gaping because of Plotter's beauty from up close, and placed the kkoma into his hand. "However, I have to give you a bigger reward because of the scenario, so accept 1863. His strength is limited and mostly can only stay in kkoma form, so I hope you can take him."

"Alright." The answer was instant. '1863 is much tamed than the others, and if he can mostly stay in this cute form, then I can definitely pinch his cheek as he had eaten dirt before at my command. 999 would be good, too, as he was friendly toward his teammates, but he may not be toward me, as he is still a Yoo Joonghyuk, so 1863 is a better choice now.'

'Plus, 1863 suffered more, so if I could show him a good round, where he doesn't even need to lift his finger to reach the end...' Kim Dokja smiled faintly at the kkoma and his eyelashes fluttered, which was of course misunderstood by everyone else as they had seen it without censorship because 4th wall was taking its revenge for this bullshit.

"..." Something darkened in Plotter's eyes and most of the kkomas', but because it was 1863, they decided to let it go. "Let's go." The outer god commanded and he turned around.

As he was going back to the lake where portals were forming, he walked straight to the 3rd turn who was frozen and furious for betrayal at Kim Dokja, but he got snapped out of his trance as the outer god stepped on his head and trampled him into the ground, just like the sunfish has done to people at his dramatic entrances.

Yoo Joonghyuk growled as he let out a murderous aura and ready to massacre all alternative selves of his, firstly the outer god. Though, he was unable to do this as Plotter's stomps were so painful that they almost broke his spine, especially the one when he stepped on the sunfish's tailbone. Yoo Joonghyuk almost cried out at that one.

Plotter walked into the portal after looking back at the reader one more time with a smile, and to the humiliated protagonist with a satisfied smirk for his sweet vengeance.

Yoo Joonghyuk quickly tried to get up to kill the other. He grit his teeth, a single tear in his eye because of the broken pride and almost broken spine. But all this was a murderous stare which was again pointed to the ground as the kkomas did the same as their big self, flattened the worthless 3rd turn into the soil, maybe it will be a good soil for carnivorous plants.

'Ugh... Yoo Joonghyuk's temperature is truly bad. To stomp even yourself... this is why I couldn't have handled them. They would have killed each other, so in that case why would I accept them if only a few will remain in the end? Also... seeing thousands of Yoo Joonghyuks' deaths...'

[Kim Dokja stopped his thoughts as he couldn't think about this more. It was too cruel. Reading them one by one and experiencing them in person continuously was two different levels. Kim Dokja knew he would break down if he needed to experience it.]

'...' Kim Dokja decided to ignore the 4th wall, but he was aware that it was right, so he went to the lying man. "Oi, you bastard sunfish. How long are you going to sleep? As far as I know, sleeping on the ground isn't the best way of beauty sleep."

Yoo Joonghyuk's head snapped up in an impossible angle and stared murderously at the reader. The squid jumped back a little, but composed himself. "Let's go, there is a main scenario to do so we can't let you miss it just for your look. Like, what if we die? You would be called 'the one who abandoned his teammates just for some beauty sleep'."

"..." The protagonist growled, but got up where he stared at the kkoma who was comfortable sitting in Kim Dokja's hands. He furrowed his eyebrows and snapped away his head and walked away angrily, which perfectly showed how pissed he was.

"... Truly what is his problem? I was always this annoying." Kim Dokja asked dumbfounded as he wasn't killed by the protagonist who was already dozens of meters ahead and patted the kkoma. 1863 only slightly sighed, but he enjoyed the pampering done by the other.

"I have two questions. Answer both truthfully." A pissed, but bewildered Han Sooyoung ordered. "One, what have you done again to piss that bastard this much!?" She pointed to the protagonist not far away who was cleaning his sword (hundreds of times this week) and was ready to kill anyone if he was spoken to.

Kim Dokja srugged. "Don't know. He has been like this since we met Plotter, maybe he is like that because you know how much he hates constellations, and even more outer gods."

"..." Han Sooyoung didn't really believe it, but was sure that this rat again had done something wrong unintentionally. "Then second, what is that on your shoulder?" Now she pointed at the Yoo Joonghyuk kkoma on the reader's shoulder.

"Oh, he is the 1863rd timeline's Yoo Joonghyuk, you know where I was during the three years even if it wasn't that much for me. I could get him recently in a scenario and of course I couldn't let him stay with the scenarios' mercy, though, he can mostly only be in this tiny form."

"..." She just glared. 'Definitely the reason for the bastard's bad mood, and this rat got him during that recent scenario with Plotter. If that outer god could send the squid into another timeline, then he could bring someone else from another timeline to here.' "You know that we can't deal with one, two is only worse even if he is tiny."

"You are wrong, this Yoo Joonghyuk is much better. He won't say death threats to anyone, right Hyukie?" Kim Dokja asked with a smile and the kkoma nodded.

"..." Han Sooyoung had enough of life, especially because she could see from her eye's corner that the sunfish just broke his cleaning stick, veins bulging out on his hand and glared murderously this way.

"I am not kidding Han Sooyoung. He ate dirt when I told him to, let him to pitch his cheek, and just look at him, even if he threatens someone, it will be cuter than scary." 1863's invisible tail was wagging at the praises.

The writer just stared as she had enough of the bullshits she has heard and saw today. 'So... should I win over this tiny bastard, or train the big bastard to eat dirt so this rat won't sacrifice himself again?'

"?" Kim Dokja was oblivious to all things around him.

"Ah! A mini Oppai!" Yoo Mia's eyes shone as she ran to them and 1863 jumped into her hand so she could inspect him more. More and more people started to arrive and see the newcomer.

But in the corner, the protagonist was breaking down as even his sister stood by the newcomer's side and he was abandoned just because he wasn't tiny, and because Kim Dokja never ordered him to eat dirt, so he didn't even have a chance to prove himself. He even started to think about changing gender, just to get his reader's gaze back to him.

Notes:

I almost forgot to post the chapter.

Also, RIP YJH's spine, pride, mind heart, as all of them are broken.

Chapter Text

'Who should I choose... 999 is my favorite, but 1863 is who...'

[Kim Dokja has forgotten about the most oblivious answer.]

'??? Ah, Yoo Joonghyuk.'

[Kim Dokja was sure he would be killed if Yoo Joonghyuk had found out about being forgotten.]

'I know that... but even if this round is much stronger than it should have been originally, it is still nothing compared to the two rounds which almost reached the end.'

[Kim Dokja should choose his Yoo Joonghyuk.]

'??? Why? From what I have heard from you, you don't like him.'

[This situation was familiar to Kim Dokja. As if he had read something similar to this, just not in TWSA.]

'Why are you changing the theme? Although... it is true. A situation where a mystical being offers two choices to the poor one who had lost something... AH! That story with silver-golden axes!'

Thankfully for the censorship, the protagonists outside had only seen all of this as if he was thinking, so his surprised face, along with the self-blame for not remembering to the story faster, but on the top of this, neither his wide grin was visible to them.

'If it is truly that tale, then there is only one correct answer...' Kim Dokja resolved himself and with a sly smile, he looked up to the outer god. "Neither of them are my Yoo Joonghyuk. Mine is an annoying bastard sunfish who is grumpy and aggressive, ready to kill me in seconds if I say something wrong."

999 and 1863 were content with the answer as it had meant they would be given to the reader, too, though... they had wished for the reader to choose either of them only. Plotter's expression was unreadable.

Some veins popped were visible on Yoo Joonghyuk's head, probably because of the description of his, but he was feeling relieved for not being betrayed and abandoned in this cold water, however, he had a bad feeling, too, but he didn't care about it.

"Hm... is that so? Then is this yours?" Plotter lifted the sunfish from underwater in a bubble.

"Yes." The answer was instant.

"Alright, you weren't greedy."

<Hidden scenario cleared.>

<The scenario was cleared with a perfect answer.>

<Highest reward given: Secretive Plotter and Yoo Joonghyuks of all timelines except the 0th.>

'Yes!' Kim Dokja was mentally celebrating, except when he realized the full content of the message. 'Heh? All timelines... what do you mean by all 1863... wasn't it only these three...? Also, why Plotter is in the rewards, too?... But then, if this is the 3rd timeline, then would I get 1862 Yoo Joonghyuk and the current one, or even the 3rd turn too where I didn't interfere...? And what about the 0th.. ah, it isn't included.'

Kim Dokja froze as he was unsure whether he should be happy to have almost 2000 protagonists, or be afraid of their wrath and death threats.

The bubbles burst out as the scenario was cleared and Yoo Joonghyuk quickly realized that the others had been freed, too, so to show them his superiority, of having Kim Dokja in his timeline, he ran in the second he landed, or... he tried.

999 and 1863 gripped his shoulders, pulled him back, and then using their arms they easily turned face-to-face to him, but instead of any conversation or something like that, they just kicked him in stomach, just like he did to Kim Dokja during the 10th scenario, as if it was a retribution.

Yoo Joonghyuk was sent flying across the lake, the water was splitting from the air his body pushed aside, and then crashed into a tree on the opposite side. It happened too quickly even for him. He only felt pain and spit out blood as he landed.

He furiously rubbed his head, though the tree was in worse state as it fell down, but the sight which welcomed him was even worse, as hundreds of mini selves of him were coming out from portals and running to his companion.

Kim Dokja stepped one back in shock and confusion, as he had never imagined the sunfish as a child, especially not as a kkoma, so seeing a sea of them was anything but expected. It looked like one of those plush claw machines got their glass broken and the inside flooded out.

The 4th wall was shaking and the squid's mouth was open as he stood dumbfounded, which made his face a little uglier, not that with censure it was visible.

"Kim Dokja." Plotter called him, which caused the reader to come back to earth. The outer god stood in front of him, with many kkomas on his shoulders, head, and some were clinging to the veil. Behind him was 999 and 1863, who were peeking from the sides, and below them was the kkoma sea.

Kim Dokja thought about finally seeing the outer god's face, but the veil probably had a hiding effect as it couldn't be seen even though they stood less than a half meter away with the taller leaning into the shorter's face.

"..." He tried to evade the gaze and his eyes were searching for a way to run away when he saw his companion in the far away background. 'They are truly ruthless, even to themselves.' He mused quietly. "... Can you get me my Yoo Joonghyuk? I still need him." 'Or else he will kill me if he finds me.' went unsaid.

"We are too yours from now. You have us, so why do you need that useless trash?" The tone which Plotter used wasn't too kind, it sounded pretty irritated.

The reader got alerted and quickly tried to think about an excuse. "... He was still my companion until now."

"Tch." Most of the Yoo Joonghyuks clicked their tongues, even Plotter, and some even spit on the ground or showed middle fingers.

"???" The squid clearly didn't understand the reason for them to hate one selves of themselves this much, while acting uniformly with the others.

"..." There was a little change in 1863's eyes and then he turned and dashed away, just to the opposite side of the lake, where Yoo Joonghyuk was just standing up.

"You-!" He growled at the appearance of himself, but was cut off.

"Kim Dokja asked for you." This was enough to shut up the mad dog and they went back quickly in silence.

"What the fuck!? Is this the Hell!?" Han Sooyoung shouted in disbelief and disgust.

"Hm? Ah..." Kim Dokja was sitting in a chair, watching the scenery, but he realized the other's problem quickly. First of all, he had a mini Yoo Joonghyuk on his lap with a tag written 999 on it.

Also, this scenery spoken of was the kitchen, where Secretive Plotter, now without his veil, was sitting across from him, and a grown up Yoo Joonghyuk with 81 on his tag was making food with several other kkoma versions of himself.

Not far away from them, Yoo Joonghyuk, whom Han Sooyoung knows, was crushed into the ground and was used as a seat for other kkomas who had smug expressions.

"... I think I will go back to sleep." And then the writer has left.

Chapter Text

"Hm..." Kim Dokja hummed as he carefully inspected the beauties in front of himself. 'Such a shame... I can't do that... wait! The scenario said that ultimately, it is the judge who chooses the reward, so...' The reader looked at the outer god with determination. "Secretive Plotter."

"Hm?" The said man tilted his head.

"I want you!" The reader pointed at him.

"..." Plotter blinked dumbfoundedly as he was taken back by this.

"!!!" But the other Yoo Joonghyuks were startled much more.

"As you wish." The outer god smiled with satisfaction and clicked his fingers, popping the bubbles out and opening some portals from the sky. From these, countless mini Yoo Joonghyuks have fallen out, who tried to land with the least impact, but couldn't that much because of the sheer number of theirs and because all of them dropped into the water.

"Eh!?" The kkomas were dumbfounded by the sudden summon and bath, but 1863 and 999 weren't better too, as they had fallen into the water and were forced to shrink back.

"!!!" The fake 3rd was unlucky, too, as while he could swim up to the air, so he could breath, but the mini selves of his were dropped onto him, starling him and as he had been ready to swear, a kkoma ended sealing his open mouth, not letting him to say anything other than groans and whines.

He had to keep himself up, so he had to use his arms, but instead of contacting water, he mostly touched and pushed down his other selves into the water.

While all these fights for survival happened in the big confusion, Plotter had stepped down to the land and walked to the shocked reader who was quite convinced that he was dreaming.

"Kim Dokja." The affection full, deep voice startled the squid out of gaping, making him to droll on the perfect sight (chest) in front of him. "Let's go."

"Eh?" The dumbfounded full had no intelligent thought, and his brain got a short circuit as he was picked up in princess carry.

A portal was opened in front of them, but instead of going in, Plotter gave a mocking smirk at the protagonists who were still in confusion, though the smirk was still able to make them irritated even if they knew nothing.

This little time had given a chance to Kim Dokja to read the messages he got and to think about them.

<Hidden scenario cleared.>

<Reward: Secretive Plotter.>

'Eh!? I was just joking with this, as the scenario was clearly stating that I can only choose Yoo Joonghyuks! I only thought that maybe if I choose Plotter then maybe he wants to come, too, and then I can choose a sunfish, so I will have a Yoo Joonghyuk back and a powerful supporter, an outer god with me, too! Or maybe if I choose him then I can get him and the three other Yoo Joonghyuk, too, but... How was the scenario cleared!? I choose Plotter and not a Yoo Joonghyuk!?'

Kim Dokja was screaming inside, and 4th wall was unsure whether he should speak up, or go away to get some earplug drawings? descriptions? or jelly like ink? Well, you know, some earplugs made for walls which are made of paper and ink.

Then the reader looked onto the next messages he got.

<Hidden Scenario failed. You didn't choose your own Yoo Joonghyuk.>

<The judge is satisfied by your choose.>

<Penalty: You have been kicked out of the scenarios. Your probability to remain in this timeline has been given to every Yoo Joonghyuk except for Secretive Plotter.>

'??? So I have failed because I didn't choose a Yoo Joonghyuk...? But because Plotter was satisfied by my answer, I got him. However, why is it said that 'I didn't choose my own Yoo Joonghyuk'...? that sounds like I have chosen a Yoo Joonghyuk who isn't mine?'

'Then in the next part: 'every Yoo Joonghyuk except for Secretive Plotter'. Why...? Could it be th-that...' Kim Dokja started trembling as he finally reached the conclusion and slowly looked up to his dashing prince.

Plotter was now facing the portal and was ready to step into it, but he noticed the shift in his arms and looked down to see the scared, squeaking rat who clearly found out his identity. The outer god smiled fondly at him, making the sight even better for the rat who now could see his face from underneath as the veil couldn't hide it.

"... A-" Kim Dokja tried to say something, but his brain overheated from too much thinking and blushing, so he fainted.

Plotter, seeing this, stepped inside and left this world, going back to N'Gai, which now was free from any rival entities for the outer god, as he had kicked out the kkomas who could have put their hands on his star.

"Let's go to bed, and... never leave it." He said with a good mood and sly smile as he licked his lips.

Later, the Yoo Joonghyuks finally stopped fighting and accusing each for letting Kim Dokja taken away, and beating the fake 3rd for all he had done until now, and went to the industrial complex to get help from everyone else to get Kim Dokja back.

Of course, at first they had scared everyone to hell, but then the Kim com, the Yoo Joonghyuks, Korea's constellations and some other constellations, some transcendents, and 999'th turn Uriel come together and formed a Kim Dokja rescuing squad.

They bribed the wenny king, though it took quite a lot of time to, and then went to N'Gai to save the rat princess, but they were not ready to do what they were welcomed with.

Secretive Plotter lying on a couch, petting and caressing Kim Dokja who was reading on top of him, using the outer god's chest as a pillow, and was fed with definitely top quality food.

The reader looked much more lively and fatter, he clearly gained weight as his cheeks weren't skinny anymore, also, the black circles under his eyes disappeared. His beautiful face was now visible and wasn't censured, so his peaceful smile was breathtaking for those who could see it.

The squad has stopped. First, they were blinded by the beauty. Second, they couldn't bring themselves to ruin the peaceful, domestic mood. And third... it was a thought:

When they tried to make Kim Dokja gain weight, they failed. When they tried to make him sleep, they drugged him, but he clearly hated it and they felt somewhat bad for drugging him. When they tried to make him stay alive, by caging him, he always broke out and ran away into the chaos and even sacrificed himself.

Now, in front of them was the reader in perfect peace, and the outer god, who they called a kidnapper, had done a better job than them. He may be a kidnapper, but from what they see now, he neither caged, nor chained down, nor drugged the reader to this point. Even if he did, he still succeeded, when they didn't.

The wenny king sensed their thoughts, so they spoke up. "Kekekeke~. At first he wished to go back to you, but after about a week, he gave up as he tasted the peace he wanted to have with his protagonist and couldn't abandon it. About a month had passed here, but now he doesn't even get up, only carried to the other rooms by Secretive Plotter. Keke~."

These words stopped the squad even more. They were hypocrites. They knew that if they wished to fight next to Kim Dokja, then they can't keep him alive because that is impossible, they already learned this. But if they keep him caged, then they will make him rot away. He may smile at them, but he will be hurt and probably start fearing them, and maybe... they can't even clear the scenarios which they promised to.

But now, in front of them was the second way's more humane version. Kim Dokja was happy, safe, and wasn't dying. But this had two problems, one is what was said before, that they may fail to clear the scenarios, maybe they can be only cleared with Kim Dokja's sacrifice. The second was that Kim Dokja now wasn't theirs, they couldn't just go in a room and see him. (They couldn't fuck him just because they wanted, he already had a lover.)

They had to choose. Bring back Kim Dokja where he either dies and maybe the scenarios are cleared, or lock him away where he won't be happy. They may try to soothe him with almost two thousand Yoo Joonghyuks, which are definitely more than one Yoo Joonghyuk, but... maybe in Kim Dokja's eyes, this one can weigh more than the nearly two thousand.

They may need to kill this one to get Kim Dokja, which would lead to the despair of Kim Dokja, maybe even the death of his, if he blocks an attack in the outer god's stead. The peaceful method isn't available, as if Secretive Plotter could just go with them and share Kim Dokja, then they would have done that and the current situation wouldn't exist.

So, Kim Dokja is needed to be stolen from the outer god, which would lead to Secretive Plotter getting injured or even dead, which then would lead as a trauma to the reader, or maybe he would kill himself or go mad, or who knows. Either way, Kim Dokja definitely wouldn't thank them for 'rescuing' him.

The other thing they can do is leaving the pair here and going back. They need Kim Dokja, for their psyche and safety, but at the same time, if having him would lead to his ultimate death, which would break them even more, or at least his soul being broken and making him to suffer for them... that would be a more painful sacrifice for them than the quick deaths he had done until now.

They were looking down, or away, and clenching their hands, clicking their tongues. They were unable to choose.

Plotter noticed this, so to not let Kim Dokja notice them, he made text out of black smoke and minimal probability above of him.

[My other selves, you can come inside me and watch over us, but never interact with Kim Dokja. The others, I can give you videos of Kim Dokja, but you can never meet him again.]

They were shocked, some (mostly Yoo Joonghyuks) growled at his audacity, but some started to think about the offer.

After a few minutes, most of the kkomas had returned to the main host via a tentacle he had summoned next to them. This wasn't a big loss for the squad as most of the kkomas couldn't fight much as the probability didn't let them.

Some of the others, like Yoo Sangah raised their hands, showing that they wish for videos.

Some, like Yoo Joonghyuk, Han Sooyoung and Jung Heewon, clenched their fists in frustration and swore inside. 'We will clear the scenarios and return.' They wished to speak to Kim Dokja, but were aware that it would only lead to even worse outcomes than the current, so they didn't.

Plotter nodded at their answers, and then they left.

What happened to them later? Did they clear all scenarios? Well... it is best to not tell Kim Dokja.

Notes:

This ending is actually my favorite ending. While I care for the others who won't be able to clear the scenarios without Kim Dokja and eventually die, I still want him and Plotter, as they had suffered the most, finally just sleep in peace, without the pains of the world and scenarios.

Chapter Text

"Finally! I have been freed from this bastard sunfish!" Kim Dokja happily exclaimed as he threw his hands up in joy, turned on his heels and left while humming in a good mood.

The world has frozen for the Yoo Joonghyuks.

999 was slightly gaping and blinking with an 'Eh?' expression. He has never expected the reader to say this. Abandoning a comrade was something he would never do, and he thought Kim Dokja was the same, so this declaration hurt him greatly.

Next to him, 1863 was almost tearing up. He was trembling, eyes shaking, and he even whined like a puppy who had just been thrown out. He could have digested it if it was an another Yoo Joonghyuk, because he was a broken, depressed, useless sunfish, but simply the answer that he doesn't need any of the regressors... It broke him.

Secretive Plotter wasn't better. After seeing what the reader had done for Yoo Joonghyuk during the fake 3rd and 1863rd turn, it never occurred to him that he wouldn't choose any of them and just leave. He thought about the possibility of him wishing for an other round, like 81 or 111, or... maybe even him. (That is why he wore a tight top, so he looked sexier and more attractive.) But to his dismay, Kim Dokja didn't even think about the choices and just went away.

Yoo Joonghyuk's eyes were trembling, just as his whole body. While on one hand, he was satisfied that the others weren't chosen, but because he wasn't too, it meant something else, something that terrified him: Kim Dokja doesn't need any Yoo Joonghyuk.

If he had chosen one, then he would know what he lacks, why Kim Dokja wanted that round, he could have known where to improve to make the sacrificial bastard stay. But with this, it means that no matter how much he improves, Yoo Joonghyuk won't be needed for him. In the past, he had been left for an another round, but now, his essence as Yoo Joonghyuk was refused, abandoned.

Yoo Joonghyuk had known that he is more of an outsider to the company, that he would fail without Kim Dokja, but he had hoped that at least he can be something for him, too, he can help, repay.

But no. He was now abandoned. It meant he wasn't needed to the reader, that he was a nuisance. Until now, he thought his bad personality and behavior was tolerated because Kim Dokja needed him so he could act like that, but he was so wrong.

He was tolerated maybe because of Lee Jihye, or maybe he was just a powerhouse for the early scenarios who could come with them if he behaves. But Yoo Joonghyuk didn't. He was rude, annoying, a bastard sunfish who made the reader have constant headaches.

He thought they were companions, that they were close and equal, but this thinking was one-sided. Maybe the reader had never thought of him as a companion, that it was just a fleeting title, bait for the sunfish to be caught and being eaten, both the his soul and body.

The protagonist desperately scratched the water surface while growling his companion's name, death threats, but then slowly, these turned into whines, pleading for the other to turn back, to return.

He said things that had never left his mouth in even his 1863 other regressions. The words poured, every of them filled with hope that he won't be abandoned, that the reader would turn back, that he would come back for him. The tone was desperate, harsh, it scratched his throat, making forming words harder.

The water surface sealed the worst mental breakdown of the regressor, not letting anyone hear it, the moment of vulnerability. Water mixed with tears, sweat, so from outside, one could only see the betrayed, cracked expression on his face, not the complete breakdown.

Plotter sat in the air, deeply immersed in thoughts. He hoped that this was just a joke, a fit from the reader, that he just wanted a day without a regressor, because of how they have behaved toward him, he... desperately hoped... that he would come back in days.

But...

Why? Why did the instincts he trained over the regressions, told him that the waiting is futile? That he (they) is no longer worth anything?

He hated that the reader lived off his story, his flesh, and that he used the knowledge from him to survive and be a guide to the useless version of his, when he never got any guidance, but... Plotter has understood that Kim Dokja would help him, too, that he was the only one in this universe who could free him...

So to hear directly from the reader that he threw them away, to the trash they belong, because they are no longer useful... It was too painful even to an outer god king. He was furious that his sufferings were used like this and would like to destroy something, someone... But... The reader cared for his companions who didn't do much for him, then Yoo Joonghyuk who helped him the most should have got the most right?

But if he didn't, then would that mean he isn't worth anything, doesn't deserve peace? He wouldn't have minded if his story was used if in the end he got his peace, but... The one who followed him through the regressions, read his life said that he doesn't deserve it… should it truly mean that he is worthless?

"Let's wait." He only said this as he continued to sit like a sculpture of a god.

Next to him, 999 just sat in silence, but his mind was overworking, while on the other hand, 1863 was completely broken. His eyes were lifeless, he curled up and buried his face into his tights, but his pale skin and limp posture made him look hollow.

Yoo Joonghyuk clenched his fists, but the cold voice of the outer god made him cool down and come back to his senses. Because the water didn't really restrict him, except for not letting him go out, he leaned onto a boulder and closed his eyes, hoping that the time will pass faster, that his expression isn't cracked, so he won't see his trembling arms.

A day passed, but nobody moved more than clenching their fists, or biting their lips. The hope slowly faded from them, but they still waited.

They waited three days and gave up. The next main scenario was tomorrow and the sun was no longer visible on the horizon.

Plotter sat up. He forcibly changed the two into kkomas, put them under his veil and left to a portal. "You can come out now."

"..." Yoo Joonghyuk watched him leave in silence and not long after that, he slowly got out of the water. He walked through the dark forest, where even the moon didn't light his path. He looked hollow, water dripping from his clothes, but it could be seen that he had a goal.

He reached a light after a while. In the background, collapsed buildings were laying, but in front of them, a campfire was with happy and laughing people sitting around it. It was the place for the next scenario, the place where his company members gathered.

He stopped in his tracks. He faintly could hear his name being mentioned, but... Would you say a person's name with such joys who went missing for days? They were snickering and clearly looking mostly at the reader who shared his gaze equally with them.

Yoo Joonghyuk feared to get closer, to disturb them. He knows that he is the least favored one in the company. He is aware his social skills aren't good, that he is a party-boomer, that if he goes into a laughing mood, then it turns sour and all sounds cease to exist.

He has been their leader who they had to endure in the previous regression, but now it was Kim Dokja who led them. They loved him and followed him because they wanted, and now... Yoo Joonghyuk's persistence wasn't something they had to endure, they were no longer comrades as they were in the past, they were not the same.

Yoo Joonghyuk turned away, he couldn't bear to see their expressions clearly. He walked away to a cliff which represented the end of the forest and the beginning of the crumbles of civilization. He sat to its edge, laid back to a tree behind him and just watched the night sky, full of antagonists, then looked down, and saw his allies... and his companion, but the forest and the wasteland were two different places, they lived separately.

He was there for a while. The time passed quickly, even though he didn't really care. He was emotionless, but also at the same time, his face was cracked.

The sun was slowly rising in the horizon, and behind the protagonist, the reader slowly descended, stepped next to him. He didn't notice the newcomer who at first just looked at him, inspected, but with a sudden change on his face and a frown, he spoke up: "Yoo Joonghyuk?"

The regressor sat up and turned around at an absurd pace. His face showed disbelief, he even blinked a few and was gaping. He swallowed and then asked in a cracked voice. "Kim Dokja?"

"I am pleased to hear you remember my name." He answered sarcastically.

"..."

The no comeback only showed to the reader the seriousness of the situation. "I got the message that Plotter has ended the scenario, so no reward or punishment was carried out."

"..."

"Do you know what kind of scenario will this main one be?" Kim Dokja asked as he looked to the place where the campfire was.

"..." The regressor closed his mouth and shook his head.

"It can kill you." The sunfish startled a little, but looked up, showing he was listening. "It is one of the worst scenarios for you and it takes place for days. Do you think if I told you this, you would have skipped this scenario?"

"..."

"That is why I left you there." Yoo Joonghyuk's eyes widened at this. "You would have been locked there, so this scenario couldn't have affected you."

The reader looked at the horizon as he said this. It was as if he couldn't have said this to his face.

Yoo Joonghyuk felt relieved, but... he had a feeling that this was bullshit. However... he didn't use Lie Detection, he was too afraid of that. Even if this was a lie, something Kim Dokja just thought out because he had come back... he wouldn't care, and just accept this dangerous white lie, because... it is still better than a horrible black truth, which would kill him, force him into an even worse regression.

At least, this is beautiful as long as he doesn't seek the truth, the true feelings for him. He will be used, because Kim Dokja needs a powerful incarnation, but not because of his personality... But, if this is a new chance, maybe now he can find out why Kim Dokja doesn't wish for any Yoo Joonghyuk... maybe he can make himself worthy, wanted.

He gets up and goes away without saying anything, but the direction he goes is the farthest from the place where the scenario takes place.

Kim Dokja watches him as he walks away in silence, and when he is no longer visible to him, a new member joins.

"Rat bastard, answer one thing." Han Sooyoung stepped next to him.

"No greeting?"

"You don't deserve it." She scoffs. "And, was it true or a lie? Did you say that bullshit because you found out he is alive? Or was it truly why you left him?" She didn't use Lie Detection because here the answer given is more important than the truthfulness.

"... What do you think?" Kim Dokja turned his head to her and gave a smile which was lighted up by the rising sun.

"... Cruel bastard." She grumbled.

Notes:

Funfact: I really liked that I changed in the 7th that YJH wants to be wanted instead of needed because he will be wanted in the future, as a criminal.

Also, sorry YJH, but I really like when you aren't a bastard, but a wet, kicked puppy like 1863 who gets headpats from KDJ.

Chapter Text

Kim Dokja and Yoo Joonghyuk were bickering near a lake, then the reader had enough of the other so he threw the protagonist's sword into the lake.

"Go after your sword and cool down your head!" He shouted, but in the next second, he was in the air with pain in his side. He looked back at the sunfish who was in his usual cool kicking pose, so anyone could tell what happened. Kim Dokja showed a middle finger before falling into the water.

"Retrieve it." The protagonist only said this, but it couldn't be heard because of the water splash.

.

"..." Yoo Joonghyuk was staring at the water for minutes, but nobody nor nothing came out of it. Then suddenly, the water started to bubble, so he went into a fighting stance, but instead of his companion or a monster, he met with the god he hated the most, Secretive Plotter.

He was ready to ask what the hell is he doing here, but then he saw two bubbles at the outer god's side, and they had one-one Kim Dokja in each. One looked like when he met with the reader at the bridge, while the other was a child who had several band-aids on him.

"Idiotic incarnation who lost his companion. How pathetic. " Plotter spoke with a mocking tone, and while he only whispered the last part, Yoo Joonghyuk could hear it, and Plotter knew that, too. "Is your companion this cute, lovely, pitiful child? Or this sleep deprived, sexy salaryman?"

Yoo Joonghyuk was surprised by the readers' looks, but was startled out from the inspection by the scenario window.

<Hidden scenario - Which Kim Dokja is yours?>

Type: Hidden
Difficulty: ???
Clear Condition(s): Choose your Kim Dokja.
Time Limit: Unlimited
Reward: ???
Failure: ???
* Rewards may be not given if the judge does not wish to give one because of your choice.
** The judge may reward you based on your choice even if you have failed the scenario.

"..." The protagonist paid a second to the blue screen and then looked at the two Kim Dokjas, but he knew his answer won't change no matter what, no matter how cute or sexy they are. "Neither. My companion is infuriating, loud, white, sacrificial, cunning who can overthrow the Star Stream. Also, he is underwater, so get him out or he will drown." The last part had a threatening tone.

"I know." He answered immediately, but also playfully.

"Ha?" Yoo Joonghyuk's right eyebrow twitched in irritation, but then the scenario window pinged.

<Hidden scenario cleared.>

<The scenario was cleared with a perfect answer.>

"But too bad~. You don't deserve any Kim Dokja, while on the other hand I do." The smirk was wide and the tone was mocking, but before Yoo Joonghyuk could have reacted, the outer god grabbed into the water and pulled out the puzzled Kim Dokja, then with his tentacles, he wrapped the Kim Dokjas around and sprinted away.

Yoo Joonghyuk immediately followed him and only glanced at the scenario window for a millisecond.

<The judge isn't satisfied by your answer. Alternative reward will be given.>

"Give back Kim-!" He shouted at the running outer god, but then something flew into his face, and that something didn't want to leave his face, so he tried to remove it and then he saw that it was a kkoma version of his with an eye-patch.

Yoo Joonghyuk now could see again, but instead of his companion or the outer god, he only saw a closing portal.

"Fuck!" He swore loudly.

"..." 999 had zero idea what happened, but then he saw the scenario window.

<Alternative reward: 999th turn's Yoo Joonghyuk in kkoma form.>

"..." Neither was delighted by the reward.

"Where is Kim Dokja? And what is that mini self of yours? Were you a Vtuber? Did you really use an eye-patched version of yours as the Vtuber model?" Han Sooyoung asked back in the Industrial Complex, and while she was annoyed at the first half of the question, she laughed at the second part.

"He was kidnapped."

"Wait!? What!? By whom!?"

"By Secretive Plotter. He threw this thing into my face to run away." Yoo Joonghyuk pointed at 999 who was just eating murim dumplings.

"Great." She said with sarcasm and headache.

"And I used a face-cam, not a model." He declared with irritation.

"Alright, alright." She rolled her eyes.

Notes:

While I like 999, still I know that SP would eliminate him the first as he is the most threatening factor to his relationship with KDJ as even if SP doesn't know that KDJ's favorite is 999, he still knows that the reader hates YJH's threatenings, shit personality, and hates 41, so 999 who is his opposite and was very sweet to his companions, would be favored by the reader.

This is why 999 tormented by SP in my fanfics, because SP feels his position threatened. I wrote this because many asked about 999 in this and my other fanfic.

Chapter Text

It wasn't a surprise to see Kim Dokja and Yoo Joonghyuk fight as they go to or come back from a scenario, and the current situation wasn't different, too. They have just finished a hidden scenario, but the protagonist was fed up by the reader's sacrificial plans, so he started arguing, which eventually evolved into a really loud verbal fight, too.

Kim Dokja tried to explain himself as he had his phone in his hand as he couldn't put it away after he took it out to read TWSA because a mad sunfish started insulting him. Of course, this infuriated Yoo Joonghyuk a lot, as the reader's attention again went to his novel-self and not the current, so took out the device from his hand and threw it into the lake next to them.

"... No-!" Kim Dokja, who was just robbed by his companion, turned on his hills and shouted after his phone like it was his lover. He furiously turned back and glared into the other's eyes. "You bastard! Why did you need to-!"

The protagonist was unfazed by the other's outburst, but then their argument was cut off by a blinding light. Both of them went into fighting stance, but instead of a monster or enemy, (though the entity can be called those), their eternal third-wheel, Han Sooyoung in white coat levitated out from the water.

"..." Neither man could say anything at this sight.

"Poor reader who had lost his favorite, garbage novel. I have found you pitiful and brought it up from the water-bottom, but I found more than one, so which one is yours? This reaction fanfiction of the entire TWSA? Or this yaoi rewrite, self-insert fanfiction of TWSA?"

A scenario window rang in front of them, but they didn't even look at it before answering.

"The reaction one!"

"The yaoi one."

". . ."

The reader was in shock and slightly gaped as he looked at the protagonist. "Joonghyuk-ah... why?"

"..." Yoo Joonghyuk just turned his head away.

"... Alright, then which one do you want then?" Han Sooyoung calmly asked again, though she was laughing inside.

"How about a sequel to TWSA?" Kim Dokja asked with anticipation and a smile.

"Hell no! Keep this then!" She yelled and threw a phone into the reader's face who just barely could catch it, so it didn't hurt him.

"Which one is this..." Kim Dokja asked, but instead of listening, he had already started reading it. The scenario window came up saying that while it failed, the judge rewarded them, but the reader didn't really care about it.

.

A few minutes passed and Kim Dokja looked up from his phone with a scowl. "What is this? It is basically the happenings we had until now."

"I told you, it is a yaoi version of TWSA with self-insert characters, so basically with readers. And who are you?" Han Sooyoung answered, but she was annoyed.

"A reader." Kim Dokja nodded, he understood this, but not the following. "But why yaoi...? Is it because of Han Myungoh?"

"..." The two others sighed and the woman even groaned into her palm.

"Your story is currently bl, but will become yaoi in the future."

"? But who comes together?" He put his hand to his chin and started murmuring. "Hyunsung-ssi is with Heewon-ssi, so maybe Jang Hayoung and Yoo Joong-" His mouth was covered by a rough hand.

"I will show you and change the genre." This is the only thing Yoo Joonghyuk said as he dragged away the reader by his jaw.

"Goodbye bastards, also, Kim Dokja's ass." Han Sooyoung waved to them before disappearing into a light again.

Later the company was surprised to see the sudden development of their relationship, Uriel screamed while Plotter was irritated, but the company decided that they should let them be as maybe this way Kim Dokja will remain with them.

Han Sooyoung was happy that finally she was freed from seeing the horrible romance show she needed to watch everyday, but she had no idea why Kim Dokja avoided her and only looked at her as if she had scammed a txt file of TWSA out of him.

Notes:

Thank you for reading it!

With the base idea of golden-silver axe au, there will be other works in this series, but I don't know when because currently I wish to go back to write my other fanfic as it has been a while I had posted a chapter for it.

Also, I have no idea why my cute, fluffy, comedy thing became so dark (like 6 and 7). While I can blame for the universe of ORV being cruel, still I went too far. But don't worry, the next two work for this series will be fluffy (and maybe small smut, too) as those won't be in ORV's universe but in different AUs, so the brutality of scenarios won't kill the characters.
