The Silly of the Turtle/Dorian/Gabriel

Summary:

Somewhat written as a bit for English and will likely never be finished.
This is meant to be a fic where Dorian and Gabriel actually meet, since I found it deeply frustrating that they don't in the book.

Chapter Text

Domidion’s future was looking great. The new, temporary head of R&D, March Treach, was somewhat competent and was injecting that side of the company with some much-needed new ideas. There had been no further spills, nor more things that called the head of PR to Dorian’s office; the media, despite moving on from the prime minister’s near assassination, had not repressed the Domidion as the center of attention.

“Any updates?”

“R&D is looking into a new bacterium fertilizer. Treach has high hopes for the new gene they’re incorporating, and they are requesting more funding.”

Dorian always appreciated Winter leaving out the chaff. Dorian would have to wait for the proposal to see if he would grant the funding, but it was likely, especially if Treach’s idea paid off.

“Anything else?” Dorian asked.

“Your divorce case is finished.”

Dorian already knew the results; Olivia hadn’t had any impressive showings in court, and Dorian kept all of the important assets. He wouldn’t need one of the houses which had sat in legal limbo until now, and which he’s only bought for Olivia.

“Sell the house.” Winter would know which one.

“We’ve also found Quinn’s location.”

“Where?”

“Samaritan Bay, near Kali Creek, B.C.”

Dorian hummed, Kali Creek, he recognized from Quinn’s writings on the walls, but he didn’t remember it from anywhere else. Domidion had flourished while Quinn was here, and as good as Treach may be, they wouldn’t be able to replace Quinn.

“Winter, see what’s holding up the fish.” The tank wouldn’t be empty for much longer, and a spot of colour wouldn’t hurt, especially if Q started taking his lunches there again.
