Salem grabbed Judy by the back of her collar and dragged her up onto the back of Sweep because for as fast as Judy was there was nothing like a lateral advantage to the traps the Childminder set on the ground. She didn't like Judy of course-- Salem didn't like anyone-- but it was just silly to let an ally get caught when she could easily swoop in to save her (and hold it above her head later).
"You know Salem, I knew you must not hate me all that much," Judy thanked her with a beaming smile as she hugged her arms around Salem's middle from where she sat side saddle behind her. She felt warm pressed against Salem's back and smelled like burned cinnamon and it made Salem's hands sweat.
"I could drop you," Salem threatened with a rude upturn of her nose, but part of her feared she didn't actually mean it.
