Chapter Text
Everything he heard, everything he said. He had to have still cared, right?
It had to be to save face. It had to be. It was all just an act for the cameras. If he could get him alone, it would just be like old times.
What he did, it had been so many years ago, surely he couldn’t still be bitter about it now?
Spamton pretended like he wasn’t listening as he sat in Kris’ inventory, retreating after having been harshly rejected. He secretly listened as the trio fought his ex, spouting rip-offs off his iconic catchphrases. He must’ve thought himself to be some sort of Big Shot, calling that a boss fight, he’d show him a boss fight.
Everything he did. Everything he said. It was all him. No. It was them - together.
A part of him wanted to be proud, but it was vastly outshadowed by envy.
He mumbled and sulked to himself as the four of them talked about their feelings and such, as much as one with a permanent smile on their face could sulk.
His sulking was interrupted by the horrid sound of something striking metal, followed by a high frequency tone.
“T-Tenna!”
Now, he’d never know, he’d never get the second chance, and he accepted it, with an eternal smile that didn’t quite reach his eyes plastered across his face.
Spamton supposed, it would just be another dream, like the one they both shared all those years ago in his Cungadero.
For now.
