Chapter Text
Matt was sprawled out on the couch, eyes half lidded, lost in thought. Scarlett leaned against his legs, reading, but barely turning the pages anymore.
Jamie was sitting at the kitchen table, maybe having a whole conversation with Scott in his head. Pedro was upstairs, maybe reading.
Everyone was tired, not saying much. The journey back to nexus HQ had been heavy as they were all wounded from the battle against chaos. Pedro has done his best to comfort and heal them all, but the language barrier was still present for the majority of the moments they had together.
Scarlett shifted. ‘You still awake, asshole?’ She asked, turning her head and glancing up to matt.
‘Sure’ he murmured, opening one eye.
Jamie chuckled. ‘Real love,’ he said.
Matt stretched and stood up from the couch as Scarlett shifted forward to let him through. ‘I’ll go shower’ ‘sure,’ Jamie Said, grinning. ‘Try not to take an hour again. Or do. All the superpowers must be exhausting to possess.’ matt side eyed him.
‘Shut up or I’ll superpower your ass out the door’
