Work Text:
Sungho had been feeling a little off for the past few days, but he hadn’t thought much of it, assuming it was just nerves about their latest comeback. This proved to be untrue, he was now doubled over in the mcountdown bathrooms, clutching his stomach to try to ease the pain. He stayed a couple of minutes in that position until the pain lessened enough for him to call the manager. He answered quickly.
“Hello? Is everything okay, Sungho? You’ve been gone a while.” The manager sounded worried which made Sungho wince; he was about to tell him something that would ruin his mood even more.
“I’m…uh, I’m okay.” The manager sighed in relief, but it was short-lived as Sungho quickly followed, “But I think I’m in heat.”
The call went silent.
“You’re what?”
“In heat.”
“But it wasn’t supposed to come for another week.”
“Yeah well, it’s here now.”
Sungho heard the manager bark orders at someone; he stared at his reflection in the mirror until he was addressed again.
“Okay Sungho, I’m on my way to you. There’s a car coming to take you back to the dorms.”
Sungho hummed in acknowledgment then hung up. He slid to the floor as the pain flared up again, he usually dealt with the worst cramps in preheat but since his body decided to skip that step he was now dealing with excruciating pain as well as the fuzziness in his head.
Suddenly the door opened, almost hitting Sungho where he was sitting behind it. Sungho looked up expecting to see his manager only to see a familiar head of red hair.
“Oh!” Nicholas exclaimed, he seemed surprised to see Sungho. Which was reasonable.
“Sorry, I didn’t hit you, did I?”
Sungho shook his head offering him a small smile, “No, don’t worry.”
Nicholas smiled back, “Why are you on the floor?”
Sungho thought about giving him an excuse but he felt close enough to the other omega to tell the truth, “I’m in heat.”
Nicholas winced in sympathy, “Do you need me to tell someone?”
Sungho blinked a few times, it was getting harder to think clearly. “I’ve already called my manager, he’s on his way to take me to the dorm.”
Nicholas nodded, “Is someone waiting for you there? To help you?”
Before Sungho could answer there was a knock on the door, Nicholas opened it gently making sure it wouldn’t hit Sungho. Sungho’s manager entered looking confused to see Nicholas, he closed the door and spotted Sungho.
“How are you doing? The car’s already here.” He said while he helped Sungho to his feet, Sungho clung to his arm because it felt like his legs were going to give out any second.
“Fine, dizzy.”
“Are you going to be okay?” Nicholas asked worriedly, Sungho looked at him a little shocked at how concerned he was.
“There’s no need to worry, I’m taking Sungho to the dorms now so he can properly rest.” the manager answered for him.
“He’s not going to be alone, right?”
“The other members have other schedules to do, so they cannot accompany him.”
Nicholas shook his head in disapproval, “Sungho you can’t spend your heat alone, it’ll make it more painful.”
Sungho pouted, “I don’t want the others to drop everything just for me.”
“That’s stupid. You know they’d want to be with you.” Nicholas sighed when Sungho shook his head defiantly, “I can help you. If you want.” he offered.
Both Sungho and the manager looked at him with surprise, “Are you sure, Nicholas?” the manager asked.
Nicholas nodded, “I won’t be able to help as much as an alpha would, of course. But it would still be better than you being alone.” He directed his response to Sungho, waiting to see his reaction.
Sungho thought about it for a moment before nodding, “Okay, you can come with me.”
The manager sighed, “Thank you for helping, Nicholas. Now let’s go to the car.”
Nicholas nodded and opened the door for them. The walk to the car was silent except for the occasional pained whimpers Sungho would let out.
The car ride to the dorm felt like it took forever. Sungho’s body ached with each small jolt of the vehicle, and his head swam in a hazy fog of heat and discomfort. His breath was shallow, and every minute that passed seemed like an eternity. Nicholas had kept his distance at first, but as the minutes wore on, he seemed to instinctively shift closer to Sungho, offering a quiet, steady presence.
"How are you holding up?" Nicholas asked quietly, his voice soft as though he didn’t want to disturb the fragile calm that Sungho had managed to keep.
Sungho blinked slowly, his vision blurred around the edges. "I’m...I’m okay," he said, though the words felt weak. He clenched his hands into fists to try and distract himself from the intense, pulsing ache inside his body.
Nicholas didn’t buy it for a second. He could tell from Sungho’s strained posture and the way he was gripping the seat in front of him that he wasn’t okay at all. “You don’t have to pretend, Sungho. It’s okay if you’re not. This sucks.”
Sungho gave him a tired smile, his voice barely above a whisper. "It’s just... a lot to handle at once." His stomach churned, the sharp cramps coming in waves now, making it hard for him to focus. He shifted uncomfortably in his seat, trying to find a position that eased the pain.
Nicholas hesitated for a moment, his eyes flicking to Sungho’s pained expression before he reached out and gently placed a hand on his arm. “Is there any way I can help right now?”
Sungho’s gaze flickered to Nicholas, and he could see the sincerity in his eyes. It was a simple offer, but the way Nicholas was looking at him made Sungho feel both touched and guilty. He hated being a burden, especially to someone as kind as Nicholas.
“No, I just have to keep it together until we get there,” Sungho muttered, his voice tight with discomfort. “I don’t want to make things awkward for you,”
Nicholas shook his head quickly. “Don’t think like that. It's not awkward to help a friend.”
Sungho smiled weakly, grateful for the concern, but still reluctant. "I just don’t want to make a scene. I don’t want anyone to worry about me too much.”
"You’re allowed to have someone worry about you," Nicholas replied softly, his hand still resting gently on Sungho’s arm.
Before Sungho could respond, the car pulled to a stop in front of the dorm building, and the moment of quiet reassurance was broken. His manager quickly got out and opened the door for Sungho, offering him a hand to help him out. The cool night air hit Sungho’s face as he stumbled out of the car, his legs still shaky from the pain.
"Let’s get you inside," his manager said, his tone firm but concerned as he helped Sungho to the dorm. Nicholas was quick to follow, staying close enough to offer support but not crowding him. As they reached the dorm, Sungho’s manager made sure Sungho was comfortable on the couch before turning to Nicholas. "Take care of him, Nicholas. I’ll check in later to make sure everything’s okay."
"Got it," Nicholas replied. The manager nodded and glanced at Sungho again before leaving and closing the door behind him.
Nicholas made his way to the couch, he sat next to Sunho and pushed his hair away from his sweaty forehead, "What do you need? I can get you anything; water, a blanket, anything," Nicholas offered, his voice laced with concern.
Sungho closed his eyes for a moment, trying to push back the intense sensations coursing through him. “Need..a nest.” He managed to get out, “Can you get some of the members’ clothes?”
“Of course,” Nicholas nodded, “Do you want me to help you get to your room first?”
“Yeah,” Sungho muttered weakly. He exhaled in surprise as Nicholas abruptly lifted him into his arms. “I can still walk…” He said, face flush with embarrassment.
Nicholas ignored him. “Which one is your room?”
“It’s upstairs, but we can stay in the one on the left.”
Nicholas hummed as he walked towards the room, he pushed the door open and inhaled deeply, trying to place the scent. "Ah, this is Jaehyun's room?"
Sungho blushed, “Yeah. It’s just… I don't think Riwoo or Woonhak would want their rooms to smell like heat.” He hastily explained, “Not that Jaehyun would!”
Nicholas laughed as he gently set Sungho on the bed, “It’s okay, Sungho. You don’t have to explain.” After making sure Sungho was comfortable, he went to the other members’ rooms to see if they had any clothes lying around for Sungho to put in his nest.
He came back a few minutes later, his arms full of hoodies and blankets that held the boynextdoor members’ scents on them. He found Sungho lying on his stomach, holding a jacket close to his face. “Hey,” He said softly to not startle the omega, “I got stuff for your nest. Can I come in?”
Sungho turned to look at him, his face was flushed and his eyes were a little glassy. Seems like the heat has properly hit him. He nodded and gestured to Nicholas to enter the nest. He took the clothes from him and positioned them around him, when he was satisfied he laid back down with a satisfied sigh.
Nicholas sat beside Sungho on the bed, his hand resting gently on Sungho's as the younger omega finally started to settle into the nest. Sungho’s tense body slowly relaxed, his breathing evening out, but his mind was still buzzing with heat-induced haze.
Nicholas didn't move, making sure not to disturb him, his fingers gently brushing against Sungho’s wrist every so often, offering the smallest of comforts.
"How are you feeling?" Nicholas asked quietly, his voice soft and careful.
Sungho blinked slowly, still trying to ground himself. The ache was still there, but it felt more distant now, a dull pulse rather than the sharp, burning pain it had been. "Better," Sungho murmured, his voice thin and shaky. "It still hurts a bit. But not as bad."
Nicholas nodded, his expression softening. “I’m glad it’s a little easier.”
Sungho let out a tired sigh, his body sinking deeper into the nest, surrounded by the familiar scents. It felt strange, being this vulnerable, but the softness of Nicholas’s presence was oddly comforting. He closed his eyes for a moment, letting the quiet wash over him, before speaking again, his voice barely above a whisper.
"Thank you... for being here. I didn’t... I didn’t want to make things weird."
Nicholas chuckled, a soft, warm sound. "You don’t have to worry about that. I’m here because I want to be, Sungho. It’s okay."
Sungho smiled faintly at that. His face was still flushed, his body still heavy with heat. He felt strangely exhausted, like even his thoughts were weighed down by it. “I want to try and get some sleep before it gets worse.”
“Good idea. Do you want me to stay here?” Nicholas asked, eyes soft. Sungho nodded, reaching over to pull Nicholas’s arm around him.
“Don’t leave.”
“I won’t,” Nicholas assured him, pulling him closer to his chest. Nicholas could feel Sungho relax against him, his breath evening out. He pressed his cheek lightly against Sungho’s hair, offering the smallest of reassuring hums.
An hour passed, and Sungho lay in the quiet, cocooned by the nest of blankets and familiar scents. The earlier ache in his body had dulled, and for a time, he had managed to drift into a peaceful, exhausted sleep. But when his eyes fluttered open again, a shift in his body pulled him from his slumber.
The warmth from the blankets felt different now. The air felt thick, suffocating almost, as his senses heightened. His body felt heavier, yet restless. The haziness he’d been drifting in suddenly sharpened, leaving him with the unmistakable sensation of something stirring deep inside him.
His chest rose and fell with shallow breaths, and his body burned in a way that wasn’t quite painful, but intensely needy. There was an undeniable ache between his legs. He shifted slightly, but the motion only heightened the feeling. His head spun, and his thoughts grew hazy once more. Sungho squeezed his eyes shut, trying to push back the overwhelming need, but it was becoming harder to ignore. He exhaled shakily, his fingers curling into the blanket beneath him.
His movements didn’t go unnoticed. Nicholas had been sitting quietly by his side, having remained calm while Sungho rested, but now, he noticed the subtle changes in the omega. The way Sungho’s breath had quickened, the way he was shifting uncomfortably in the nest.
“Sungho?” Nicholas’s voice was soft, hesitant, as he leaned closer to him, his concern growing. “Hey... are you okay?”
Sungho’s eyes opened slowly, locking with Nicholas’s. He felt his face flush under the weight of the gaze, the awareness of Nicholas’s proximity making him even more self-conscious.
"I…" Sungho’s voice cracked. He swallowed, his mouth dry. He wanted to say something, anything, but the words didn’t come.
Nicholas studied him carefully, the tension between them thickening as he noticed Sungho’s unsteady breathing and the slight tremble in his hands. His instincts kicked in, and he could tell Sungho was trying to hold it together, but was failing to do so. Nicholas leaned forward, his hand resting lightly on Sungho’s arm.
“Hey, it’s okay. You don’t have to hide anything from me,” Nicholas said, his voice low, but steady. He seemed to have put things together as his stare moved downwards for a second before going back to Sungho’s eyes, “I can help, if you want me to.”
Sungho nodded, biting his lip in both embarrassment and anticipation, “Please.”
Nicholas's hand was gently cradling his face now, his thumb brushing across Sungho's cheek in slow, careful motions. Sungho couldn’t help but close his eyes, feeling the world around him blur as the only thing that mattered was the quiet intensity between them. His pulse quickened as Nicholas leaned in, their faces just inches apart.
“Are you sure?” Nicholas asked, his voice soft but full of unspoken desire. There was a flicker of hesitation in his eyes.
Sungho's breath caught in his throat, his mind racing. His body felt like it was on fire. He nodded slowly, a barely perceptible movement, but it was all the confirmation Nicholas needed.
Nicholas leaned forward, his lips pressing gently against Sungho’s, tentative at first. It was a soft kiss, slow and measured as if they were both savoring the moment, tasting the sweetness of the connection that had been building between them.
The kiss deepened as the air around them seemed to thicken with unspoken emotions. Sungho’s hands found their way to Nicholas’s chest, fingers curling into the fabric of his shirt, pulling him closer. Nicholas responded in kind, his hands moving to Sungho’s waist, holding him gently but firmly, as if afraid that letting go would break something fragile between them.
Sungho could feel his heart thundering in his chest, the warmth of Nicholas’s body so close, and for a moment, everything else seemed to fade away. There was no heat, no pain, just the feeling of their lips together, of the shared breath, of the connection that neither of them had expected but both desperately needed.
Their kiss was soft at first, tender and slow, but as the seconds stretched into minutes, it became more urgent, a quiet intensity building between them. Sungho’s hands slid up Nicholas’s neck, fingers threading into his hair, urging him closer. Nicholas responded with a low hum, his lips pressing harder against Sungho’s.
Sungho’s hands pulled at the edge of Nicholas’s shirt. Nicholas understood the needy gesture and broke the kiss to pull his shirt above his head before quickly pressing his lips against Sungho’s again. Sugnho let out a soft moan at the renewed passion in the kiss. His hands skimmed over Nicholas’s bare chest, fingers lingering as though he wanted to memorize every curve, every muscle beneath his skin.
Soon, Sungho’s clothes became an unbearable weight on his skin. He moved back so he could roughly take them off. He could feel the weight of Nicholas’s gaze pressing into him, more intense than before. Sungho moved closer to sit between Nicholas’s legs, fingers fumbling with the pants buttons for a moment before Nicholas took pity on him and undid them himself, he slid out of his pants then pulled Sungho onto his lap, he pressed his lips to the soft skin of Sungho’s jaw, peppering a few light kisses as he moved down towards Sungho’s chest. He smiled at the soft noise Sungho lets out after he sucks a spot under his collarbone. Nicholas gasped when Sungho pulled his hair to get him to lift his head. He pushed their lips together messily, licking into Nicholas’s mouth, moaning when Nicholas took his bottom lip between his teeth.
Sungho's movements were desperate and hungry. Nicholas could feel the heat emanating from Sungho's body, the scent of his arousal filling the air around them. He moaned into the kiss, his hands finding their way to Sungho's hips, pulling him closer.
Sungho gasped as Nicholas's fingers traced patterns on his skin, his breath hitching in his throat. He arched into the touch, his cock leaking pre-cum onto the sheets beneath them. Nicholas smiled, leaning down to press a kiss to Sungho's lips. "You're so responsive," he whispered, his voice thick with desire.
Sungho nodded, his eyes rolling back in his head as he lost himself in the sensation. Nicholas's fingers were skilled, knowing just how to touch him, how to make him feel good. He moaned, his body shuddering under Nicholas's touch.
"So beautiful," Nicholas whispered. Sungho shivered, his nipples hardening under Nicholas's touch. "Don't stop," he pleaded, his voice barely above a whisper.
Sungho gasped when Nicholas's hand brushed against his erection, his hips jerking forward in response. Nicholas smiled against his lips, his free hand reaching down to stroke Sungho's cock, his thumb brushing over the head in slow circles. Sungho's breath hitched, his eyes rolling back in his head as pleasure coursed through him. He arched his back, pressing himself deeper into Nicholas's touch.
Nicholas leaned back, looking down at Sungho with a mix of awe and desire. "You're so gorgeous," he whispered, his fingers moving faster, his thumb brushing over the sensitive head of Sungho's cock. Sungho whimpered, his head falling back against the pillows, his eyes closed tightly as he gave in to the pleasure.
Nicholas moved his hand downwards, his fingers were quickly coated with Sungho’s slick, which made it very easy to slip inside. Sungho gasped, his body tensing for a moment before relaxing into the intrusion. Nicholas pumped his finger a couple of times before deciding that Sungho could easily take more. He pushed in another two fingers, planting a soft kiss on Sungho’s shoulder when he let out a broken moan. Nicholas's fingers moved steadily inside him, curling and moving in and out until they finally pressed against his prostate, sending waves of pleasure coursing through him. He bit his lip, his hips bucking up towards Nicholas's touch.
"Are you ready for me?" Nicholas asked, his voice rough with need. Sungho nodded, his eyes fluttering open to look at Nicholas.
"Yes," he breathed, his voice barely above a whisper. Nicholas kissed him again before positioning himself at Sungho's entrance, his cock pressing against the tight heat. He paused for a moment, looking down at Sungho, who whined at him to hurry up.
Nicholas laughed softly, “Okay, sorry for making you wait princess.”
With a gentle push, Nicholas entered him, filling him completely. Sungho gasped, his eyes rolling back in his head as he felt the fullness of Nicholas inside him. Nicholas leaned down, his lips pressing against Sungho's neck, his hands holding him close.
Sungho's nails dug into Nicholas's shoulders, his hips rolling against him, taking him deeper. Nicholas groaned, his breath hot against Sungho's skin. He thrust harder, faster, his hips meeting Sungho's in a rhythm that was both desperate and intoxicating. Sungho gasped, his eyes rolling back in his head as he felt the familiar pressure building inside him.
“Nicho, I’m close,” Sungho whispered, his voice hoarse. Nicholas nodded. The pleasure was building up inside him as well. He reached down to grip Sungho’s cock, using the mixture of slick and pre-cum to ease the slide of his hand. It wasn’t long before Sungho cried out, his voice echoing in the small room as he came, spilling over Nicholas's hand and stomach.
Nicholas followed soon after, his body shaking. They stayed like that for a moment, their hearts pounding in unison, their breathing ragged. Nicholas leaned down, pressing a gentle kiss to Sungho's forehead.
Sungho smiled, his fingers lacing tightly with Nicholas's. They stayed like that for a while, basking in the afterglow of their connection, the scent of their sweat and sex filling the air around them. Sungho felt a strange sense of peace. Like a calm had settled over him, replacing the earlier ache and intensity of his heat.
The quiet between them wasn’t uncomfortable. It was comfortable, and soothing, like the soft hum of a lullaby. Nicholas didn’t rush to say anything, his presence alone enough to fill the silence with something unspoken but deeply felt. His hand gently rubbed circles on Sungho’s back, grounding him, reassuring him.
Sungho turned his head slightly to glance at him, his lips curving into a small, content smile. “Thank you, Nicholas,” he said softly, his voice a little hoarse from everything that had happened. His words felt too small for the depth of what he felt, but they were all he had at that moment.
Nicholas didn’t say anything at first. He just stared at him, his gaze warm and unguarded. Then he leaned down, brushing a strand of Sungho’s hair out of his face. “You don’t have to thank me,” he murmured, his voice low and tender.
Sungho’s heart fluttered a little at the sincerity in Nicholas’s eyes. “You’re going to stay for a bit, right?” Sungho whispered, his fingers tightening ever so slightly around Nicholas’s.
Nicholas chuckled softly, his thumb brushing over Sungho’s knuckles in a comforting gesture. “I’m not going anywhere.”
For a long moment, they simply held each other, the warmth of their bodies blending, creating a safe cocoon where nothing else seemed to matter. The world outside could have been spinning wildly, but it felt like it had paused, just for them.
As the minutes passed, the exhaustion from earlier began to settle in again. Sungho's eyelids fluttered, his body relaxing into the softness of the bed. Nicholas watched him carefully, a quiet, protective look on his face.
“Get some rest,” He whispered, brushing a kiss against his temple.
With that, Sungho let himself drift, comforted by Nicholas’s steady presence beside him. It was more than just the relief from his heat; it was the reassurance that, for now, he was not alone.
