The effects of Nitro Fuel and Yearning

Summary:

“Proxy? Yer really here?” Lighter swung his legs out and with all the strength and force of a professional fighter, he pulled Wise toward himself, wrapping his arms around the waist and pressing his head to Wise's stomach.

“Wha- Yeah, I’m here.” He was surprised, anyone should have been, but he calmed himself, and moved a hand to card through the dark hair, “So this is what you meant.”

Drunk Lighter needs a baby sitter, who else to call but the ever reliable Proxy, Wise?

Notes:

I hope literally anything makes sense.

I hope at least the smut is good, that’s all that rly matters lol

Work Text:

It was an uncommonly quiet night, the store was long closed downstairs, considering it was a slower day, and their commissions actually ended early for once. Wise was laying in bed, scrolling Knock Knock before he tried to get some sleep. Belle was already in bed, the soft snores coming from behind her door when he passed by earlier reassuring him.

Overall, it was nice, a bit of a pause in an ever havoc life such as their own. He would accept that gladly, were his thoughts as he set his phone down to charge for the night.

But, perhaps it was never meant to be, the sound of his phone buzzing bringing the quiet night to a pause. With Adrian he rolled back, facing the illuminated screen, contact reading: Lucy Montefio (SoC).

Confusion washed over him, it was getting a tad late, and Lucy was a mostly sensible person, and they didn’t message often for personal reasons, so it had to be an emergency if she was calling this late, not messaging like she normally did with a new request.

In a bit of a rushed panic, he accepted the call, “Proxy, hey you there?” Lucy called in an aggravated tone.

“I’m here, are you guys ok?” He asked, calming down.

“Yeah, all still kicking.” She sighed, “Look I’m not sure how to put this, but can you head out here?”

Wise was unsure, confusion still lingering, “What’s going on?”

“Hey back off! Yeah it's the Proxy, No you can’t talk to him, go sit back down you big oaf!” She yelled, pulling the phone away from her mouth so as to not deafen Wise.

Wise’s confusion never subsided, only growing with the lack of explanation. “Is everything good over there?”

“Yeah, yeah, Can you head over, it’s Lighter, -No I already told you,” she scoffed, “I anit saying nothing bad about you- Sorry Proxy, he’s drunk and he won’t listen to anyone, figured you’d be the best bet.” She explained, the sound of feet dragging on the other line.

Wise processed it for a second, “Yeah, uh, I’ll be there in a bit.” He proceeded to throw on a hoodie, he was already wearing sweatpants, and grabbed an extra jacket, to make up for the freezing Outer Ring nightly temperatures, he grabbed some other things in case, like a change of clothes, a charger, just basics. He jotted down a quick note for Belle, telling her he’s out, not to be worried, and to shoot him a text when she wakes up.

With that, he rushed out the door, bitter cold against his skin, and cranked the van on. He settled himself in the vehicle, tossing his bag in the passenger seat, barely giving the van a chance to warm up.

The drive to the Outer Ring was uneventful, a long drive out of the city gates, rough patches here and there, but not an unfamiliar path. He found his curiosity growing as he got closer. What kind of drunk was Lighter? How much did he end up drinking? Why was Wise the best option? He shook the thoughts away, the glowing sign of Blazewood coming into view.

The crunch of gravel underneath his tires quieted as he parked a little way from Cheesetopia. Seeing that the diner was still lit up with music playing gave him a good place to start.

He walked up, some old song playing on the jukebox, a bit of chatter, the sound of glasses being set down. Walking through the swinging doors, Wise waved to Lucy, sitting across another person, a grimace across her face.

Laying against the wood grain, was none other than Lighter, grumbling something he couldn’t hear. He walked up to the table, “Hello.”

“I’m sorry.” Lucy signed, a hand coming up to run down her face, exhaustion clear on her features.

There was a jolt from Lighter, he slowly rose his head to turn to the Proxy. There was a hint of confusion across his handsome face, but it didn't take long for recognition to kick in. Clumsily, he scooted toward the edge of the table where Wise was standing.

“Yeah, he’s been whining non-stop about ya, can’t get em to shut up or go back to his place to sleep, just muttering and groaning.”  Lucy explained, her tone angry, but Wise could see the tight knit of her brow, the underlying worry that she had for her fellow calydons.

“How’d he even get like this?” Wise asked, the answer unknowingly coming towards him.

“Hi Proxy, Good to see ya!” Burnice exclaimed, a tipsy smile on her lips.

Lucy shot her a glare, “Burnice and her Nitro fuel again.”

“Ah, the big guy still down?” She snickered. “He shoulda known better than to challenge me to a drinking game.”

“Ah.” That made sense, Burnice was a lot of things, but a lightweight was not one of them, why Lighter had done that, well he would have to find that out after dealing with the current situation. “Well, I think I’ve got it from here, you can head out if you need to. Have a good night.”

Lucy gave him a thanks and bolted out, Brunice laughed a little more and left as well, knocking the lights out at Wise's request. If he had to guess, Piper was long asleep, Caesar probably passed out earlier, and they managed to drag her home, the same couldn’t be said for the man still holding him with a death grip.

Said man was still awake and stubborn at that, and even if he had fallen asleep, he was a large man, it would have taken all of them sober to pull him anywhere, but still, if they trusted Wise to deal with it, he would.

“Lighter?” He said quietly, brushing the bangs from the other man’s face.

“Hmm” the biker looked up at him, his grip loosened by just a hair.

“Do you want to go lay down, it’s late.” His voice was soft, a calm point.

Lighter nodded, letting go to the waist in front of him, “Thank you, come on get up, let’s get you in a bed.”

With slow heavy movements, Lighter stood, his stance uneven, and his front leaning. Wise moved to stand beside him, knowing that if the man took a single step, he would stumble forward and crack open his skull. The man was heavy, putting his weight onto Wise as they stumbled out of the diner.

Luckily, Wise knew where the other man lived, having been there a few times for movie nights and hanging out while he was doing business in the Outer Ring. He was familiar with the path, just on the outskirts of the small town.

It normally was a pleasant short walk, but with a man that felt twice your size and weight dropped on you, it wasn’t as fun. But he gritted it out and eventually got to the makeshift home, little help on the bikers part.

He pushed Lighter through the door, and wobbled over to the couch, just short of tossing the man onto it. With a sigh, he plopped beside him, trying to regain a normal breathing pattern. “You -hah - You owe me one.” He leaned back, and turned to the man beside him. There was an odd look on his face, confusion, disbelief, amusement, something else he couldn’t quite place, “What?”

“Are you actually Wise, I’m not making it up am I?” He said, voice a little slurred.

“Of course.” He answered.

“Whatcha doin out here?” He unintentionally leaned towards the proxy.

“Got called to take care of you.” Wise wanted to sound annoyed, but it came out more endearing than anything, even so he moved Lighter to lean back against the couch, not wanting the larger man to flop over and crush him.

“That’s sweet darlin.” He seemed to pause for a moment, “This has gotta be a dream.”

Wise was no stranger to the man’s pet names, but there was this look in his eyes, something that made him feel far too warm on the bitterly cold night. “You should go to sleep.”

“Yer so pretty.” Lighter was leaning towards him again, his own statement completely disregarded.

“Thank you.” He said hesitantly, his face betraying him as it warmed.

A hand reached out to play with his bangs, they fumbled a little, clumsy as they brushed the hair out of his face. “Can I kiss you.”

Wise abruptly stood up, the older man jolted back, before looking back up at him confused. “Let’s get you to bed.” He tried to steady his voice, but gods did he want to say yes.

“Yer gonna take me to bed?” Lighter sounded slightly excited.

“Yes.” He paused, “To sleep.” He clarified.

“Yer gonna sleep with me?” His excitement grew.

“No, no, you are going to lay in bed and sleep.” He explained, bringing a hand to his own face to pinch the bridge of his nose.

“So yer not sleeping with me?”

“Of course not.”

Lighter turned away, balling himself up on the side of the couch. “Don wanna.”

“What the-“ he walked to the man, tugging at his arm to get him to turn back to him. “Come on Lighter, it’s late.”

“Not gonna.” He sounded like he was pouting, which made Wise laugh a little.

“Why not.” Wise kept his voice gentle, a stark difference from the rapid pounding in his chest. Lighter was always a little flirty, but the sincerity was never as present as now.

“Ya won’t come with me.” Why did he have to be so stubborn, Wise wondered.

“You sleep alone all the time, why is this different?”

“Don’t like sleeping alone, yer here now.” He sounded sad, something akin to a kicked puppy. He chose to give in, maybe in part for himself as well.

Wise sighed, “What if I sleep with you?”

Lighter finally uncurled himself, turning to the proxy with a look of disbelief and hope, “Will ya? Really?”

“Yes, come on I’m tired.”

Lighter stood up much too fast for someone in his condition, stumbling as he regained balance, almost knocking Wise down with his sudden burst of energy. He watched him speed stumble to the bedroom, shucking off his boots and jacket and belts on the way. Wise followed watching the other man fold the scarf at his bedside, it was far from perfect, but it was still sweet to see. He placed his glasses down and climbed under the covers, gracelessly.

Wise followed suit, taking off his shoes and hoodie, and laying with the other man. He was glad to already be in comfortable clothes, knowing it would probably be a long night if the other man didn’t fall asleep soon.

Lighter was looking at him, he could feel the gaze, he faced a wall, not wanting to meet whatever look was on the other’s face. His face was flushed as he thought things out, the other man was drunk, he was spouting nonsense, he would wake up tomorrow, not remember anything, and apologize for his behavior, and that would be the end of it. The thought made Wise a little sad. In truth, he harboured a not so small crush on the biker, he pushed it down at every turn, but even if he didn't look at it, it would still be there, remaining where he pushed it from his peripherals.

Wise tried to get comfortable, he could feel Lighter’s eyes glued to him, shifting with his movement, it almost made him happy. The thought left him soon after, the bed shifting as Lighter scooted towards him, wrapping warm arms around his torso. A nose prodded his nape, the part where his hair ended on his neck, he could feel the other man inhale, taking in more than just oxygen.

He froze, eyes shooting open, millions of threads racing through his mind. His head completely shut off when a warm tongue licked at the skin, lips opening against him, and teeth grazing the sensitive area. He blanked, doing nothing to stop the clumsy mouth against his neck.

He could only feel warmth, warmth pressed from Lighter's chest to his back, warmth covering his face and traveling to his neck, warmth settling in his stomach, moving to his groin.

“Lighter?” He could barely speak, but somehow managed to utter the name, giving pause to the other man.

He hummed against his nape, giving the skin a kitten lick as his arms tightened around the younger man.

“What are you doing?”

“Dreaming.” He said, more to himself, sounding sad, as if thinking he would never be able to do this without being in a dream.

“No, not dreaming.” Wise laughed, breathless as Lighter nuzzled against him.

Lighter seemed to stop for a moment, “It always is.” he said, that same sad realization in his tone.

Wise thought he sounded pitiful, like lost glory, like someone who has given it their all, only for another loss to be presented to them. He turned, facing the biker, warm arms still looped around him. If this was real, if what Lighter was saying even held a hint of reality, then it meant two things.

One, that Lighter actually liked him back, and two, he could finally act on the urges pushed deep into his chest. He held the other face in his hand, and brought him into a slow kiss, languid as he moved his lips against the others. The taste of nitro fuel was still lingering on his tongue as he pulled away. “What if I told you it wasn't a dream, that I’m real and I'm right in front of you.”

“That's a cruel thing to say to a sleepin’ man.” he muttered, looking at Wise, a pitiful look in his dark eyes, the red of his pupil wide in the dark room. “What if I wake up and come marchin’ up to yer door?”

If he was wrong, then he had no excuse, no defense as to why he led on a drunk man. Knowing Lighter, he would take the blame, apologize profusely for taking advantage of the smaller man, even if it meant nothing to him. Wise hoped it meant something.

“I guess I’ll have to convince you it's real then.” Wise said, pushing away his doubts, he leaned forward, leaving no time for Lighter's already lagging mind to catch up, instead pressing in for another kiss, fire and hope and the feelings of every time the bubbling feeling of love presented itself in his aching chest. He left no room for doubt, no hesitation in his actions, kissing the other man like his life depended on it. He managed to roll the biker on his back, climbing over him to straddle his waist.

Lighter groaned as he opened his mouth, a hand coming up to the silver hair, turning to deepen the kiss. Wise pulled away first, his lungs not strong enough to keep up with his beating heart. “I want you.” He whispered against kiss bitten lips, his own pupils blown wide with desire.

Lighter’s eyes widened, “What do you want? Anything, I’ll give you anything. Just tell me you’re real again.” His voice edged on pleading, scanning Wise's eyes as his hands settled in his hips.

“Do you dream about me often?” Wise leaned down, hovering over the other man's face.

“Damn near every night.” he answered almost immediately, a smile settling on Wise's face.

“Well this time it's real, what do you normally do in your dreams?” he asked, leaning down to brush his lips against the other man as he spoke.

Lighter turned away, a flush coming to his face. It didn't take a genius to know the types of things the biker was thinking, especially with the hardening object pressed against his thigh, a twitch from it as Wise brushed a bit of hair behind his ear.

“Why are you getting shy now? Aren't I just a dream?” He asked, mustering up every bit of confidence he had. Wise knew he wasn't the best looking person out there, but he's gotten compliments, he's seen himself. He knew he had a bit of what Belle called a ‘quiet beauty’.

The hands at his sides tightened, there was an odd look on the biker’s face, his eyebrows knotted as they gave him a pleading look, lips pressed into a thin light, jaw tight as if he was restraining himself. He could feel his own dick twitch at the sight.

Wise kissed him again, rolling his hips down to relieve the pressure for both of them just a little, Lighter bucked up at the sensation, wanting more. Wise pecked at his lips, mouthing against the sharp jaw, careful to not leave any marks on the other man, maybe he could convince him it was all a dream.

Lighter whined under the attention, rolling his hip up against Wise’s ass, hands switching from clenching at his sides to griping the soft flesh underneath his sweatpants. Wise groaned against the hot neck, hands pressed against the other’s pecs, kneading softly at the flesh, not too different from a cat.

“Wise, guh, Wise, need you.” He pleaded, rutting up more harshly than before. Wise held onto the others shoulders, nails digging into the muscle.

“What do you want?” He asked playfully, slowly rolling his hips to meet the needy rolls.

“You, gods Wise, need you so bad.” There were tears forming in the other man’s eyes. Scrunched up and mouth hanging open, heavy breaths from his kiss bitten lips.

Wise looked at him, he looked ruined, just a whining pleading mess, all because of him. And all they’ve done was kiss and rut against each other a bit. Wise felt elated at the realization, the champion, the red scarf, the Lighter Lorenz underneath him, pleading his name like a prayer.

He raised himself from the biker, an unhappy groan from the larger man as he did so. He moved down, playing with the button of the too tight jeans, thankfully the man already disposed of his belt earlier. Nimble hands carefully pulled the fabric apart, pulling it down, and tossing them aside.

He looked back to the man, the prominent tent under his briefs wet with precum, he slid back up, giving soft squeezes to the muscles adorning the long toned legs. He moved back up, playing with the waistband of the dark underwear. He glanced back up, stopping to stare at the gaze directed at him. All fire and passion, eyebrows tilted to look like he was begging, hands twitching at his side. Without his sunglasses, there was no buffer to hide the heat of his red pupils.

Wise gulped, and turned his attention back to the waist band. His fingers slid underneath, tugging them down just a bit, glancing back up at the biker.

“Wise.” It was a pleading whine, his voice on the verge of cracking as he watched.

He simply hummed and pulled the underwear off, leaving him in just his black shirt. Wise was quick to realize this, giving one small kiss to the leaking head of the almost scarily large cock, and pushed the shirt up, shining light on the muscular torso, marred with scars. He ran his cold hands against the warm skin, dragging his nails gently as he went down.

“Wise, you- huh you too.” Lighter was fumbling with the shirt still covering the proxy.

“If you insist.” He smiled, pulling the shirt over his head.

Before he could reopen his eyes, he was pulled down, and pushed onto his back. A warm mouth latched onto his neck, a moan ripping through his throat.

Lighter kissed and bit and sucked at the pale skin, canines sharp as they grazed against his pulse. He groaned, rolling his head back, unintentionally giving the biker more room to mark his neck. Large warm hands were at his sides, almost harsh as they caressed his waist, moving against his stomach and sides, moving to his chest.

One thumb brushed his nipple, making him arch slightly with the sensation. Lighter immediately acted on the action, moving to suck at the sensitive spot. He presses his tongue flat against the pebbling flesh, rolling it between his teeth lightly, kissing the skin around it. He moved back to the neck giving it another loving bite before licking against the other nipple.

Wise writhed underneath the attention, moans and whines escaping him with each fleck of the other man’s tongue. He could feel his own cock ache, leaking copious amounts of precum. It didn’t take long for Lighter to continue downward, practically ripping the pants off Wise, looping his thumbs underneath the band of the smaller man’s underwear to pull them both off in one swift motion.

They both laid bare before each other, sweat and spit on each other's skin, heavy pants for air, as they stared at each other for a moment, both gazes full of intent.

Lighter crooned into the pale neck, rubbing his length against the other man’s. “Wise, baby, darlin, let me fuck you, I promise you’ll feel good, sweetheart, please, please let me.” He whined into the neck, licking and kissing sweetly at the bruising skin.

Wise simply nodded, his own aching cock fueling his brain more than any logic could. “Yeah, yes Lighter.” He breathed out.

He felt a hand wrap around his cock, pumping it slowly, gathering the precum on the tips of large fingers. He kept moving his hands, grip feeling tighter then softer, pumping from the base to tip, thumb slotting against the tip.

Wise was wriggling under the touch, moaning, the spring in his stomach growing taunt before snapping. He felt sparks behind his eyes, as he came with a cry. The hand on his cock still pumping, driving him into overstimulation, “Lighter- ha- Lighter stop.” He pushed against the hand until it reluctantly let go.

The large hand, he realized, was covered in his own spend, the sight equal parts embarrassing and incredibly hot. Lighter brought the hand to his mouth, giving the liquid an experimental lick.

He hummed before bringing his hand back down, going farther than the now limp cock, and instead pressing against his entrance. A single digit pushed past the furl, pumping in slowly, his own spend easing the passage. It didn’t take long for Lighter to push in a second finger.

Wise clenched his jaw, the feeling foreign as he was stretched open. The biker twisted his wrist, moving the two fingers quickly, opening him. At one point he tilted his fingers, digging into a sensitive spot. Wise could feel his now half hard cock twitch back to life as the fingers hit the spot once again.

His back arched to the touch, “Lighter, oh Lighter there, yes again.” He whined, breath coming quicker.

Lighter leaned down to kiss at the corners of his eyes, wet from tears that he didn’t know he shed, his arms came up to rest against the others back, hands spread over the rippling muscle.

“Gonna make ya feel so good.” With that he pulled the fingers out, lining up something else to the warm entrance. Wise could feel the blunt head pressed against his hole, and with a swift thrust, it was nudged inside him.

He threw his head back, digging his nails into the same back, a tongue coming down to lick against the forming hickeys. Lighter kissed the damp skin as his hips stuttered, forcing shallow pumps into the body beneath him. Wise could feel himself clenching around the cock, drawing out low moans from Lighter. It felt like too much and not enough and like everything was on fire and he couldn’t quite think straight, and his blood was rushing with adrenaline and ecstasy, and there just wasn’t any air, did he forget to breathe?

But between it all, Lighter was there, kissing him sweetly, whispering praises and sweet names and bringing soothing hands to his sides. He let himself breath, and urged Lighter to continue. Wise could still smell the nitro fuel on the larger man’s breath, mixed with the lemon and smoke scent in his cologne. Lighter began rutting into him, pulling out just to push in deeper, knocking the air from his lungs with every push. Each one harder than the last, continuing until the biker set a punishing pace.

Wise’s exhale was shaky, and his body was jostled with the barely restrained thrusts from the larger man, but warm hands steadied him. The grip was almost bruising as they held him down, driving the large cock into him. Wise could only moan and say the biker’s name in broken syllables as his nails dug and dragged across the warm skin of the biker, stabbing the muscles with blunt fingernails.

Lighter wasn’t exactly quiet either, groaning in his ear, whining when the warm walls squeezed as they hit across Wise’s prostate, growling in the other man’s ears when pale legs wrapped around him, forcing him to stay still, deep against Wise’s sweet spot. He breathed against the skin, lips brushing across it with each movement. Lighter tilted his head to kiss Wise, teeth knocking as they desperately latched onto one another, licking into one another with sloppy haste.

Each thrust felt like it was dead set on that bundle of nerves, hitting it with shocking accuracy. Wise felt like he was seeing stars, toes curling and heels digging into the warm back as his stomach clenched, wound tight, until it snapped. Wise bit into the shoulder in front of him, eyes darkening as everything faded away.

Hips still pistoned with hard and deep thrusts, knocking Wise from the high of his orgasm to overstimulation. He whined, high pitched as his nails dug in harder, he swore he drew blood with the pressure he held onto Lighter.  It didn’t take Lighter longer to follow, hips stuttering and spilling. Stings of cum painting the smaller man’s insides.

After coming down from his own high, Lighter carefully pulled out, and flopped down beside him. Wise was panting, letting the cogs in his brain finally turn, the soreness that spread through his body, the weird feeling of liquid trickling from his ass, the gross cling of sweat covering his body. He looked to the side, Lighter passed out, soft snores from him.

With a groan, Wise forced himself back up. Lighter whining a little in his sleep, pulling a smile to his face,  which was quickly replaced with a grimace as a strike of pain shot through his back. He slowly made his way to the bathroom, wiping himself down, before bringing the same warm but damp cloth to wipe off Lighter, or what he could reach, since he was on his stomach, face turned to the side with a cheek squished against the pillow. Besides, he was in no shape to try and move the larger man, not after dragging him back and going through admittedly mind blowing sex, Wise was drained.

Lighter looked adorable like this, and if Wise wasn’t also feeling a sore ass because of the man, he would appreciate it much more. After wiping him down, he tossed the cloth away, and laid down, tried to cover both of them, and finally tried to get some sleep.

As if on instinct, the biker wrapped himself around the cooler body, burning his nose into the grey locks, a hum verberating from his chest. Wise closed his eyes, exhaustion washing over him.

When Lighter woke up, he felt drowsier than usual, a killer headache not helping as he groaned. It was early morning, pale blue barely shining in the window. He moved to stretch his arms, finding them wrapped around a warm figure, silver hair in his peripherals, accompanying the familiar scent of mint and linen in his lungs. Lighter paused, alarms ringing in his head, he remembered drinking, drinking more than he should have, and getting dragged back home, Wise was there.

Pause.

Wise was on sixth street, not in Blazewood, gods the thoughts you have after a few too many drinks huh.

But if Wise wasn’t here, then who the hell was he clinging to? Naked?! The realization made him jolt, stirring the other person.

There was a yawn from the smaller figure, before they pressed back into the warmth of Lighter’s chest. He sputtered as he tried to think.

So right, he was drinking and he was dragged home by a Wise looking figure? They were both naked, so it seems  something happened. He remembered bits and pieces of another wet dream featuring the said man, maybe it wasn’t a dream, but there was no way Wise was here.

But the girls wouldn’t leave him passed out alone, and they surely wouldn’t send him off with a stranger. Options were narrowing in his head, there was only one reality he hoped to be true, even as far fetched as it appeared.

He could feel his heart beating heavy in his chest, as he looked over the figure, glancing at the sleeping face.

Oh.

That was definitely Wise.

Oh.

And suddenly he was standing, he practically jumped from the bed, subsequently forcing the other man awake. He ran to his bathroom and slammed the door, a million thoughts racing through his still delayed mind.

First he splashed water on his face, letting the cold water droplets make sure he was awake. And yeah, he definitely was. Next he drank as much water as he could from his shaky palms, letting the cool liquid run down his throat.

He breathed in and out, practicing one of those silly breathing exercises Lucy had told him at some point. He felt his heart rate calm down, going from a disastrously fast to just quicker than normal.

After another deep exhale he creaked the door open, steeping out and back to his bedroom. Wise was still there, sitting on the edge of the bed, wrapping himself in the cover, facing away from him.

He briefly recalled he was stark naked, and grabbed at a stray pair of sweats he tossed in the general direction of his clothing basket. He tugged them on, trying to be quiet.

Lighter took a deep breath, “Wise.” His voice came out rough, still low from sleep.

The younger man tensed at the sound of his name. “Morning Lighter” he said, actively testing the waters, there was a sense of unease with the air between them.

“Look, I just wanna start with a sorry, I don’t know what happened, or what came over me, but please believe me when I say that I have never had any intention of forcing ya into somethin’ ya don’t want or making ya uncomfortable. “ Lighter explained, fists clenched at his sides, turning to look away from the wrapped up man.

Wise turned to look at him, gaze forcing Lighter to meet it, all the force of an oncoming storm in his seafoam eyes “Did you mean it? Any of it?”  He was calm, always so calm and collected, something akin to a body of water, threatening to swallow him whole.

This was the part that would make or break everything, he could play dumb, or say it was just a drunk impulse, or he could lay it all out. He could tell Wise everything, tell him how much he’s longed to even gaze at the pale skin. To tell him the thoughts forcing themselves to the tip of his tongue, tell him how many times he’s bitten back an ‘I love you’ He could place his cards down, and let Wise decide the next move, or he could keep them close to his chest, and end the game here and now.

“Every word.” It was as simple as confessions go, but it held the same weight. An iridium feather, still standing as the flames consumed him. He didn’t know what words he said last night, not a clue, but he knew he could never say anything that would hurt the other man. The girls had always told him he was an honest drunk, time to put some faith in that.

There was an audible sigh from Wise, slumping his shoulders forward, a tension leaving him. A little laugh escaped his lips as he turned to lay back down.

Lighter was dumbfounded for a moment, eyes locked on the figure, getting comfortable in his bed again.

“Hey! What the hell, Wise I got some questions for you too!” He climbed over the mattress shaking a shoulder.

“It can wait.” He mumbled pulling the covers over his face.

“No, it definitely can’t.”

He turned, facing Lighter with a frown. It tugged at  his heart before he pulled himself together.

“Do you like me back?” He blurted, tried to get the important questions out of the way.

“Yeah?”

“Why do ya sound unsure!?”

“I like you Lighter.” Wise clarified.

It brought a smile to Lighter before he reeled himself back, steadying himself for the next question “Did I.. Did I force myself on ya?” His voice was quiet, guilt plaguing him.

“Oh. No, if anything it’s the other way around.” Wise turned back to the covers, eyes shutting, lashes resting against pale cheeks. The answer confused him, before images of what he thought was a erotic dream flashed through his mind. His face flushed at the memory.

“Wise.” The man groaned in response, “One more question.”

“What is it?”

“Does this mean we’re dating now?” He asked, excitement barely restrained.

“Yeah?” He said, the same groggy tone in his answer, more of a question to himself.

“Wise.” He was breathless, trying to get a straight answer from the proxy.

“Do you want to?” He asked, glancing back to Lighter.

“Do you?!” We loved Wise, truly, this was probably the best day of his life, but he wanted to rip his hair out. “Wise, baby, I love you so tell me, if you don’t want anything, then just rip the bandage.”

Wise seemed to wake up for a moment, sitting up. “I want something with you. I want to date.” He let out a shaky breath. “I’m sorry, I don’t know what to say, I don’t know how to do this, any of this.” He threw his hands up, frustration knitted in his brows.

“Wise-“

“I want you Lighter, I love you.” He said, calming himself. “I want to learn how to do this.” He added.

There was a pause, before Lighter wrapped him in a hug. “Wise you’ll never regret this, I’ll make sure of it.”

“I’ll take you up on that Champ.” He said after a long moment, reciprocating the hug with hesitation. “Ok, ok I get it, let me go.” He patted the back, hoping the biker would release him from the crushing grasp. “You know you're really strong right?” He sucked in a breath. With one last squeeze Lighter let him go, a smile on his face. A comfortable silence permitted the air.

“So uh, where are my clothes?”

Lighter eyes widened as he looked around frantically. “Umm here’s a shirt, I don’t think that’s mine, and pants yeah, pants!” He shoved the clothes towards Wise and turned away.

Wises laughed as little as he stood to dress himself. “So boyfriends?”

Lighter looked back, Wose pulling the shirt over his head, the small of his back still visible for a moment. “Yes?”

“Look who’s unsure now.” Wise joked.

“Yes.” He repeated, with more conviction.

“Ok just checking.” He sighed. “I guess there’s no going back to sleep.”

Lighter was practically bursting with energy, feeling light as a feather with his newly acquired boyfriend. “Do you want to?”

“I don’t think I could if I tried.”

“Sorry.” He said sheepishly.

Wise turned to smile at him, “It’s ok, just an early start.” The sun had come up now, casting the room in a golden glow. It peered in through the window, illuminating Wise’s silhouette.

Lighter remained silent, eyes glued to the glowing figure, warmth seeping into his veins, a flutter in his heart. It was the first time he got a good look at the man in front of him. His hair was messy from sleep, and their previous activities. Purpling marks adorned his neck, bites and busies wrapped around like a collar. There were slight bags under his eyes, darker than usual. Lighter leaned toward him, his larger hand cradling the cooler skin.

He brought their lips together, a soft kiss, an exchange of breaths, just a graze of lips. “I love you Wise.”

A shy smile formed on the younger man’s face, so much prettier up close, “I love you too Lighter.” He paused, “By the way, Burnice mentioned you challenging her to a drinking game. I know you're the Champion and challenges are kinda your thing, but drinking? Against Burnice?”

“Oh yeah, that was, how do I say this?” He distanced himself, embarrassed from his actions the night before. “So I’ve had a crush on ya for a while, probably since the Tour, and I kept hinting at it, tryin to get advice and stuff.” He wouldn’t even look up as Wise listened with an amused expression, “So she said that she was gonna tell ya, and I was panicking, so I was gonna distract her with Nitro Fuel, and one thing led to another and I turned into a drinking game and I don’t remember much after that.” He admitted.

“Wow, that’s something. Since the Tour? That was a while ago. Must’ve been pretty scared to start a drinking challenge.” He laughed.

“Well when a pretty kind little thing rolls into town, it kinda gets a guy goin ya know. And yeah I was terrified.”

“Should have told me then, it wasn’t a one sided crush it seems.” He laughed it off, confessing his own long lasting crush in the same breath.

“It was worth the wait.”

Wise hummed, dangling his arms from Lighter’s shoulders, “I agree.”  He brought their lips together again, pecking at Lighter’s
