Zane: Give it back.
Miriam: Hi to you too.
Zane: I’m serious Miriam! Give me back the locket!
Miriam: Why Zane? What happened to us? We never broke up.
Zane: We were never together.
He leaves, leaving Miriam alone. He goes to find Rikki outside.
Zane: I’m so sorry Rikki. Miriam has already bought it. I’ll get it back for you, I promise.
Rikki: How?
Zane: Leave it to me.
He goes back inside up to Miriam and Rikki follows.
Zane: I’ve asked you nicely, Miriam. Give it back now. And no more games.
Miriam: Games? Me? Please Zane. Listen, I’ve got a proposition for you. I’ll give it back for a kiss right here, right now.
Zane: Come on, there has to be another way.
Miriam: There isn’t. You want the locket, kiss me and I’ll give it back.
Zane: Fine.
He starts to lean in, but when he’s close, he smiles and yanks the locket from her neck.
Miriam: You tricked me!
She grabs for it, but he holds it out of her reach
Zane: This belongs to Rikki, not you. Like I would ever kiss you. I don’t even like you! Besides, I like Rikki!
Miriam: What?
In a desperate attempt to get him to kiss her, she runs for him, but before she can even kiss him, he pushes her back, a little more forcefully than he would have wanted.
Zane: I hate you Miriam! I wish I had never even met you!
He then stands on a table and shouts loudly so everyone can hear him
Zane: I like Rikki Chadwick! In fact, I like her more than that! I, in fact, love her!
He hops off the table, and crosses over to her, a smile on his face
Rikki: Zane, I-I don’t know what to say.
Zane: That’s a first.
Then, just to prove a point, he takes her in his arms, bringing her into a low dip and kisses her in front of everybody. He then pulls away slightly, still gripping her waist and hips with one hand.
Zane: Told you I was serious Rikki. Will you be my girlfriend?
Rikki: How could I refuse?
She takes a fistful of his shirt so his lips collide with hers. He brings her out of the dip, standing her upright and pulls away. He moves behind her.
Zane: Got you something.
He holds the locket out in front of her and fastens it around her neck. He turns her around.
Zane: Beautiful. Just like you.
He then appears next to her taking her hand in his
Zane: Miriam, why don’t you just get out of here and leave us alone?
Miriam is shocked about what Zane just did. She just growls in frustration and very defiantly walks out. Rikki and Zane walk out a few minutes later and he gently pins her against a tree, leaning in and giving her a deep kiss, his hands on her waist. He pulls away and she looks into his warm brown eyes.
Rikki: Do you really mean all that?
Zane: Absolutely.
Their lips crash together again
