A little over a year after the liberation of Earth, the humanitarian efforts throughout the different galaxies were still in full force. Acxa and Veronica had built a pretty good system for when their schedules assigned them to simultaneous missions, galaxies away from each other.
Before each one, they would agree on how many vargas they would wait to call one another through their communicators, usually either twelve or twenty-four, partially to keep in touch, and partially as a reminder that the other was doing alright, since, as Lance had put it, while you’re in space, anything could come along to try to kill you.
Hell, Acxa had met Keith for the first time inside of a weblum. Oh, how far they’d come since that story.
On a warm evening in August, Veronica and Acxa had once again gotten to embrace each other after weeks of phone calls and quick check-ups.
The night was starting to settle in. The lovers had only been reunited for a couple of days. It was clear they had both been thinking of the other during the times while they were separated by their work. Acxa had been checking in on Veronica multiple times throughout the day, and Veronica had made sure Acxa had nice food and was drinking enough water, since they had both been scarred by, sometimes, months’ worth of food goo, some green, some purple.
Veronica drew the curtains closed. Now only the lights in their cozy apartment on Earth caressed her tan skin, and her girlfriend took a moment to admire her beauty.
As per routine, Veronica laid down on the soft sheets, took off her glasses and left them on the wooden night stand.
Instead of getting inside the duvet, she stretched her hands out, signaling for Acxa to lay with her.
After weeks of missions, Acxa loved these slow, tranquil moments with her lover.
The two of them had been separated for almost a month, since they were both needed on missions, Veronica with The Atlas, Acxa with The Blade of Marmora, and they missed the sweetness of their romance.
And of course, Acxa swiftly followed. Because, when she was with Veronica, every bit of fatigue disappeared, and any past stress was forgotten.
She sat on the bed with her knees on each side of Veronica’s hips, then leaned down and kissed her cheek.
“Hey, beautiful”, Acxa began.
“Hi”, Veronica said, elongating the syllable.
Then Acxa gave her another kiss. And a third.
“You taste really sweet, Ronnie.”
And that was just enough to excite Veronica to finally pull herself up and kiss Acxa’s lips, then pull her down to be closer to one another.
Then, she started giving Acxa slow, passionate neck kisses.
“ You’re excited”, Acxa pointed out, teasingly.
“Yeah”, Veronica said with quiet excitement, “Can you.. Can we do the weird dry finger thing?”
“I’m not dry”, she corrected, moving her head to the side out of habit, ”You know what I mean.”, she looked back at her lovergirl.
To Acxa, it was almost strange to see Veronica outside of her usual smooth, calm, laidback nature, but it was also endearing that she was willing to share that side of herself with the woman she loved.
“Yeah, okay”, she kissed Veronica’s neck as well.
And this process, that they had a very eloquent name for, meant that they would get into it without Ronnie taking off her clothes, either due to cold weather in the winter, or simply to save time on some summer evenings like this one.
And, like that, Acxa pushed her middle and index finger together, and slid them down, reaching underneath Veronica’s sweatpants.
After that, she got under her panties, and of course, she had to tease the outside of her lips first, because it just made things so fun, watching Veronica twitch from the slightest contact.
Then she slid her long blue fingers to the middle to tease her lover’s clitoris. A couple of seconds later Acxa began applying pressure, starting gently, and like that, came the first quiet moan from Veronica’s mouth.
Acxa’s favorite sound in the whole world.
So she kept moving her fingers inside of Veronica with slow back and forth motions.
After a few minutes, she began applying more pressure, which made Veronica’s long legs clench and rise for a moment, then settle back down. And it brought Acxa all the joy in the world to see her lover feel the pleasure.
Ronnie’s beautiful, sweet moans encouraged Acxa to keep moving inside of her, and per Veronica’s request, she increased the pace.
Stimulating her, she made her lover’s noises get louder and louder, and she put on more pressure.
Acxa then paused with the intent to tease, grabbed Veronica’s chin, and gave her nose a kiss, making her laugh.
Then, she pulled her fingers a bit out to touch on her lips again, to keep on teasing, and it was clearly starting to drive Veronica out of her mind.
Never straying too far away from her clitoris, Acxa went back inside of her.

With each movement, Veronica became louder and louder.

Veronica breathed out deeply and repositioned herself to lay on her side, facing Acxa.
Then, Veronica sat up and took off her pants and her underwear, but Acxa put her hand on her shoulder and reached towards the clothes, and Veronica let her put them in the laundry basket instead.

Then the two of them laid down facing one another, and Acxa extended her hands forward to hold Veronica, and gave her a kiss on the crown of her head.
And it was the best sleep either of them had gotten in ages.
