Work Text:
The sun dipped low, casting amber streaks across the half-painted living room wall. Plastic sheets crinkled underfoot. The air was thick with the scent of fresh paint, open windows, and late-summer heat. Carla stood in the center of the room, eyes narrowed on a patch of faded lilac as she ran a roller across it with practiced focus. Her black T-shirt clung to her lower back, darkened with sweat. A few strands of her dark hair had fallen loose from her bun, curling against the side of her flushed face.
Behind her, Lisa leaned in the doorway with a smirk playing on her lips. Her blonde hair was tied in a rough ponytail, a thin white tank top sticking lightly to her skin, the fabric slightly transparent from sweat. She held a dripping paintbrush lazily in one hand, but her eyes weren’t on the walls.
They were on Carla.
“You’ve been glaring at that wall like it personally offended you,” Lisa said, tilting her head.
“It has,” Carla replied, deadpan.
“It refuses to dry evenly.”
Lisa stepped forward, slow and deliberate. “Maybe it needs a gentler touch.”
Carla didn’t answer. She kept painting. But her lips twitched.
Lisa set her brush down and came up behind her. She didn’t say a word—just let her hand rest on Carla’s hip, her thumb stroking through the fabric of the sweat-damp shirt. She leaned in close enough for Carla to feel her breath at the back of her neck.
Then—the lights cut. A loud click. The music on the speaker died mid-chorus. The fan spun once… then stopped.
They froze.
Carla sighed.
“You didn’t pay the power bill?”
Lisa smiled against her ear.
“Babe. We moved in three days ago.”
Carla set down the roller, flexing paint-slick fingers. The heat inside the room now felt intimate, heavier somehow in the silence. No hum of appliances. Just the two of them, breath shallow, eyes adjusting to the dimming light.
Lisa’s arms slid around Carla’s waist from behind, tugging her back against her.
“You know…” Her lips grazed the shell of Carla’s ear.
“Painting in the dark is a bad idea.”
“Then stop distracting me.”
Lisa’s hands slid beneath Carla’s shirt, palms warm against the dip of her back.
“I’m not trying to distract you,” she murmured, lips brushing lower down her neck.
“I’m trying to give you a better outlet.”
The tension broke with Carla’s low chuckle, but it quickly turned into a sharp inhale when Lisa nipped her shoulder. Carla turned around, and the moment their eyes locked, the air shifted.
Without another word, their mouths crashed together—hot, searching, not the kind of kiss couples share in the daylight. Lisa’s hands slid up Carla’s back, tugging the shirt higher. It caught beneath her arms as they kissed, and Carla broke away just long enough to let Lisa peel it off and toss it blindly across the room.
“God, you’re gorgeous,” Lisa breathed.
Carla, now down to a black lace bra streaked with paint across one strap, hooked a hand behind Lisa’s neck and dragged her back in. Their bodies pressed flush—sweat-damp, paint-smudged, and hungry.
Carla pushed forward, backing Lisa against the wall with a controlled urgency. Her hands slipped beneath the waistband of Lisa’s jeans, dragging them down over her hips. Lisa shivered as cool air hit her thighs, but Carla’s hands were hot, sure, sliding over her skin with practiced confidence.
Lisa pulled Carla’s leggings down in turn, and soon they were half-undressed, tangled in one another on the plastic sheet-covered floor.
Carla leaned in, one hand braced beside Lisa’s head, her other trailing down Lisa’s bare side, fingers slow and deliberate, slipping under the fabric of Lisa’s panties. Lisa gasped—sharp, involuntary—arching up to meet her.
Carla leaned down, kissing the hollow of her throat, her voice low. “Still distracting you?”
Lisa barely managed to answer.
“You’ve got paint on your hand.”
“Do you care?”
“No,” she whispered.
“Don’t stop.”
Carla didn’t. Her hand moved lower, and Lisa’s thighs opened for her instinctively, her head falling back as she bit her lip. The low sound Lisa made—the one that always undid Carla—filled the quiet house. Every touch felt heightened in the stillness. Every sigh, every slip of breath between moans, the way their skin slid together—it was like the room had melted with them.
Lisa’s fingers gripped Carla’s waist, her nails pressing small crescents into her skin. She was trembling beneath her now, body shuddering, eyes fluttering closed.
“Right there—Carla—fuck…”
The release hit her like a wave, her thighs shaking, her whole body lifting off the floor for one suspended, breathless moment. Carla didn’t stop until Lisa collapsed back, gasping, spent.
Silence. Just the sound of their breathing, soft and shallow.
Carla collapsed beside her, lips brushing Lisa’s shoulder.
“I told you painting was a bad idea.”
Lisa laughed, eyes still closed.
“I think we made the room look much better.”
“I’m covered in paint and sweat.”
“You’re also half-naked and lying on top of me. Not a complaint.”
They lay there, tangled, slick, and utterly relaxed in the dark. Somewhere outside, a branch tapped lazily against the windowpane. Inside, everything was quiet.
Until Carla murmured,
“We’re going to have to repaint all of this tomorrow.”
Lisa groaned.
“Don’t ruin the mood.”
The pair giggled softly as Carla placed a kiss to Lisa’s head

The light from Carla’s phone flashlight lit up the kitchen in a soft, flickering cone. The rest of the house was blanketed in shadows, the quiet hum of summer crickets drifting in through a cracked window. Boxes were everywhere—half-unopened, some labeled in Sharpie: “POTS,” “TOWELS,” “LISA’S JUNK.”
And in the middle of the chaos, Carla sat cross-legged on the floor, wearing nothing but a loose hoodie and black underwear. She held a slightly squashed box of leftover pizza, cold and cardboard-stiff.
Lisa stood at the sink, drinking from a bottle of water like she’d just run a marathon—which, frankly, Carla figured she had. Her blonde hair was damp from sweat and from the wet rag she’d run over her face. She was in a tank top and nothing else, her bare hips catching the dim light in all the right places.
“This is a depressing dinner,”
Carla said, lifting a slice. The cheese barely moved.
Lisa turned around, smiling lazily.
“We’ve got no stove, no power, and one fork. We’re lucky it’s not peanut butter off a spoon.”
Carla smirked.
“That’s tomorrow’s meal plan.”
Lisa padded barefoot over and dropped beside her on the floor, thigh pressed against hers. Carla handed her the box, and they ate quietly, sharing sips of water between bites. The pizza tasted like salt and cardboard, but Lisa didn’t care—her focus wasn’t the food.
It was the way Carla’s lips wrapped around the crust.
The way her thighs shifted just slightly with every bite.
The way that hoodie rode up, giving Lisa glimpses of smooth, flushed skin.
Lisa set the box aside.
“You know,” she said, leaning in,
“I owe you something.”
Carla raised an eyebrow.
“For what?”
“For what you did earlier.”
“Oh?” Carla smirked.
“You seemed satisfied.”
“I am,” Lisa whispered, sliding her hand onto Carla’s thigh.
“But I’m not done.”
Before Carla could make one of her dry little quips, Lisa pushed her back against the cabinets with a soft thud lifting her up causing the brunette to gasp still surprised by her strength, before Lisa kneeled between her legs, both hands spreading her thighs with deliberate slowness.
The hoodie rode higher.
Lisa’s mouth curved into a devilish grin.
“Don’t move. Just sit there.”
Carla inhaled, sharp and slow.
Lisa dragged her fingers up Carla’s inner thigh, brushing the edge of her underwear—black lace, still slightly damp from earlier. She hooked her thumbs beneath the waistband and began to peel them down inch by inch, her mouth pressing kisses across every new bit of skin she uncovered.
Carla bit her bottom lip, eyes locked on her, watching every motion, every flick of Lisa’s tongue as it traced a line up her inner thigh.
Then Lisa leaned in lower, her breath hot against Carla’s bare skin.
Her voice was low, teasing.
“You taste better than any pizza I’ve ever tried.”
And then her tongue slipped between her thighs.
Carla let out a soft curse, one hand shooting to grip the edge of the counter behind her, the other sliding into Lisa’s hair. The first contact was slow, exploratory—Lisa savoring her, licking with flat, languid strokes that sent shivers up Carla’s spine.
Then it deepened.
Lisa sucked lightly, tongue circling with maddening precision, one hand keeping Carla’s thighs wide open while the other teased along her hip. Carla’s legs trembled, breath growing uneven, soft moans spilling from her lips as her hips began to rock forward, chasing the rhythm Lisa set.
“Fuck, Lisa—right there…”
Lisa didn’t answer. She just groaned low into her, the vibration making Carla cry out.
She moved faster now, more focused, her tongue curling, licking, coaxing. Carla’s entire body tensed, hips lifting slightly off the floor, her moans turning desperate as the pleasure built in waves—tight, electric, impossible to stop.
Then release hit her—hard, deep, spreading outward in a low, pulsing burst that left her gasping, head tilted back against the cabinet door.
Lisa kept going just a little longer, soft, drawn-out strokes as Carla came down from the high, thighs trembling around her. When she finally pulled back, her mouth and chin were glistening.
She looked up with a cocky, breathless smile. “dessert.”
Carla blinked down at her, stunned and boneless. “You’re dangerous.”
Lisa crawled back up to kiss her, slow and filthy, letting Carla taste herself on her lips.
“Only when I’m hungry.”

The mattress sat in the middle of the room, low to the floor, surrounded by towers of boxes and a pile of unfolded clothes. The overhead light hadn’t worked since they moved in, so the room was lit by a flickering tealight candle Lisa found in the “random drawer crap” box.
Carla lay back, propped on one elbow, barefoot, still in the oversized hoodie and underwear she’d worn down in the kitchen. Her dark hair was loose now, spilling over her shoulder, face clean, calm, and glowy in the soft light.
Lisa sat cross-legged beside her with a half-empty plastic wine cup in hand, cheeks flushed and eyes glassy with tipsy happiness. In Her tank top, just a pair of soft gray panties and a smirk, cheeks pink not just from the wine but from the way Carla kept looking at her.
Lisa swirled what little wine was left and raised the cup dramatically.
“To our first night in this absolute disaster of a house.”
Carla clinked her water bottle gently against it.
“To peeling paint, shit pizza, and excellent orgasms.”
Lisa grinned wide, leaned in, and kissed her sloppily on the cheek.
“God, I love you.”
“I know,” Carla said with a soft smile, tucking Lisa’s blonde hair behind her ear.
“You get very poetic when you’re buzzed.”
Lisa leaned into her, pressing kisses along Carla’s throat now, slow and sticky-warm, lips grazing her pulse.
“You smell like paint and sex and fabric softener.”
Carla laughed softly, sliding her hand up the curve of Lisa’s back.
“And you smell like boxed wine and trouble Mrs.”
Lisa climbed over her, pushing her gently down onto her back, straddling her hips with all the grace of someone two glasses in. Carla stayed still, letting her girlfriend settle in, watching her with half-lidded eyes.
Lisa’s skin was hot from the wine, and her movements were slow—sensual but a little uncoordinated in a way that Carla secretly adored she admired the beautiful creature atop of her lap.
Lisa bent down to kiss her, and it was messy and real—wine-sweet breath, soft tongues, a low moan vibrating between them. Carla’s hands slid up Lisa’s thighs, then over her ass, thumbs tracing the waistband of her panties.
Lisa pulled back slightly, looking down at her.
“You’re so… grounded lately. Strong. Still.” Her fingers skimmed Carla’s ribcage.
“It’s kind of sexy.”
Carla raised a brow.
“I had a kidney removed, not a personality transplant.”
“Exactly,” Lisa whispered, kissing her again—slower now.
“You’ve been through so much, and you’re still… you baby.”
Carla cupped her face, her thumb brushing along her cheekbone.
“You make it easier. Even when you’re slurring compliments and sitting on my hips like you’re trying to claim territory.”
Lisa smiled, drunk on wine and warmth and Carla.
“Maybe I am.”
She dipped lower, pressing kisses along Carla’s collarbone, lingering at the base of her neck. Her tongue flicked lazily, teeth grazing skin, and Carla’s breath caught. Her hands moved beneath the hoodie, sliding it up inch by inch until Carla lifted her arms to help her pull it off.
Lisa sat back to take in the view—Carla lying on her back in just her bra and black panties, her curves lit by flickering candlelight, the faint line of a surgery scar visible beneath her ribs. Lisa bent down and kissed that scar, slow and reverent.
Carla’s breath hitched.
“That doesn’t turn you off?”
Lisa looked up.
“That? No. That turns me on.”
Carla swallowed hard.
Lisa’s hands trailed down Carla’s stomach, slipping beneath her panties, pulling them down with a slow drag. She kissed down her thighs, across her hipbones, pausing to breathe her in before dipping lower—pressing her mouth against Carla’s center with a hunger sharpened by wine and want.
Carla arched, a soft gasp escaping her lips.
Lisa licked slow at first—savoring it—then deeper, mouth moving in slow, wet circles, her hands spreading Carla’s thighs wider as she worked. Carla’s fingers gripped the sheets, her moans soft and steady, growing louder with each swirl of Lisa’s tongue.
“Lisa…” she breathed, hips rolling.
“You’re drunk.”
Lisa didn’t stop.
“Only enough to say exactly what I want.”
Carla bit her lip. “And what’s that?”
Lisa looked up, voice husky.
“I want you to come for me again, just like earlier… but slower this time. I want to feel it in your legs. I want to taste it on my tongue.”
Carla whimpered.
And then she did exactly what Lisa wanted.
She came slow and deep, thighs shaking, Lisa holding her steady, her tongue moving in time with every wave. When it was over, Carla lay boneless and glowing, breathing hard, hair wild around her face.
Lisa crawled up beside her, resting her head on Carla’s chest, her voice a little sleepier now.
“That’s how I mark my territory.”
Carla pulled her close, kissed the top of her head. “You’re an absolute menace.”
“You love it.”
“I really do.”
They fell asleep tangled together—Lisa first half on top of her, warm and humming from wine and satisfaction, Carla grounded and soft, her arms wrapped around her girl, finally home.
