Work Text:
It was a Monday on Hollywood Arts like any other when the bell rang, and everyone went to their classes. Sikowitz didn’t take too long to arrive at the classroom.
— Alright you tiny maniacs, who wants to- Wait where’s Tori?
In that moment Trina entered the room without warning and glared at Sikowitz.
— My little sister is not coming today. Yesterday we went to a garden, and well… we forgot about bush daisies. And now she’s got an allergic reaction and a bad cold. So if anyone could go keep an eye on her, she would thank it. She gets really weird. Anyways, i’m sure you won’t miss her, haha, Bye.
Trina exited the classroom running in her ridiculously tall heels as the others questioned her in unison. Sikowitz cleared his throat.
— So. Who wants to go take care of her. Don’t worry you egocentric people, I won’t lower your grade.
André shrugged
— I can’t…my grandma needs me to remind her of her pills.
— Yeah I can't either! My brother just attacked an old lady yesterday and we gotta go to court later…
Beck and Robbie didn’t even say anything, just shook their head.
Jade looked at all of them incredulous and spoke.
— I DONT WANNA TAKE CARE OF TORI.
André sighed.
— I’ll pay you 10 bucks. Just don’t murder her.
Jade grumbled but stood up and put her bag over her shoulder. She left while still whispering some insulting remarks under her breath about the whole highschool. On her way to Tori’s house, she stopped by at the local grocery store to buy some stuff. More for her than for Tori, though. When she finally got to the Vega house, she knocked on the door, only to hear a very faint “Are you a thief…? Ah, I don't care…It’s open”. Jade came in and threw her bag at Tori, who was wrapped in a blanket with a box of tissues beside her.
— You look pathetic and gross.
Tori just groaned and hid her face in the blanket.
— Nooo…not you…
— Well I don’t wanna be here either Vega, but someone has to make you last till tomorrow. Now what have you eaten?
The brunette peeked out from the blanket and stared at Jade.
— Nothing…my taste is gone…
— Well too bad. I’ll shove it in your mouth if i need to.
Tori finally sat up and sighed.
— Fine…
And the raven haired girl did exactly what she told Tori she’d do. She grabbed a spoon of tomato soup and forced it into her mouth.
— There you go. Now fuck off and leave me alone.
Tori choked a little but swallowed it.
— Oh you’re so sweet.
Jade raised her eyebrows at her and threw a pillow at her face.
— You stay there and preferably don’t die…yet.
Tori just whined and wrapped herself tighter in her blanket. She fell asleep for maybe an hour or two, before calling Jade’s name wide awake, who was watching some creepy movie while eating Tori’s kitchen popcorn.
— Mmh…Jade…?
— Yeah.
— Can i give you a squeeze…?
— No.
— Jade please..
— NO.
Tori braced herself with her blanket again and sniffed softly.
— Oh my god you got to be kidding me…are you one of those idiotic people who get all sensitive when they’re sick?
— I dunno…maybe…
Jade looked at her like she was going to kill her but opened her arms with fake and clearly sarcastic kindness
— FINE. But I still hope you don’t survive.
Tori just laughed, inaudible
— Yay…
Tori softly leaned her head in Jade’s chest and hung her arms over her neck, quickly falling asleep again. Jade cursed internally but instead just called Trina to threaten her, whispering so she wouldn’t wake Tori up.
— Were you gonna tell me this girl behaves like a puppy when she’s sick?! Oh you better sleep with your windows closed, Trina Vega…
— Oh yeah I forgot the details. You’re her mean friend, right?
— Tori is not my friend.
And Trina hung up. She looked up in defeat as she thought of places where she could hide Trina’s body later. However, seeing Tori like this actually was kind of adorable. Her cheeks were now pressed against her neck and her legs rested above her lap. She slowly started caressing Tori’s hair and a smile almost cracked on her lips.
— Awe…she is kinda cute.
Jade muttered under her breath, even though the second she realized what she said about Tori she covered her mouth and her tiny curved mouth edges dissolved into a face of both embarrassment and terror.
— Now, what? Can you say that again?
Tori gasped and looked up at her with a weak yet steady grin.
Jade glared at her and spoke to her back in her loathing based tone, even though she was blushing.
— No.
— You so said it.
— NO.
Jade screamed.
— Dang it, then…
Tori grabbed her by her shirt and then placed a gentle kiss on her jawline, smiling softly
— mmh…good.
Jade’s cheeks flushed a bright shade of red and she flinched.
— I’m going to murder you.
— You want more?
She said as she straddled her and kissed her forehead and then every single empty space on the blue eyed face’s
— NO..
Tori laid down on Jade again and sighed.
– Finee..
it wasn’t long before she fell asleep again, her purple hoodie warming both girls. Jade was very busy watching her movie and eating popcorn again but couldn’t help peeking at Tori. Plus, it was weird that Vega had made her blush. That rarely happened, and she couldn’t really focus on her movie. She turned it off, brushed Tori’s hair off her face and kissed her cheek softly.
— Jesus Christ…
Jade was interrupted by a bubbly voice from behind the door, which creaked open, it was Cat.
— JADEE! I brought you guys soup and glitter- OH MY GOD, are you guys cuddling?! I gotta send this to Beck and André
— What the hell, Cat?! Shh…wait, WHAT?! PUT. DOWN. THE. PHONE.
— WHYY?? You look so cute…
— Listen if you don’t turn off your phone and choke in your glitter I’ll throw the three of you out the window.
— Awe…mean…
Tori yawned.
— She’s right tho…
Cat giggled softly.
— So Jade, if you hate it so much…can i cuddle with Tori??
— NO! She’s mi- um…no..don’t.
— Oh? I’m yours?
— SHUT UP VEGA.
— mmn… alright ma’ am…
Cat sighed
— Okay guys well, in that case, imma just leave this here. See you guys later!!
— Bye, Cat.
— Never come back.
The door clicked shut, leaving the room quiet except for Tori’s soft breathing. They spent at least a couple hours more like that. Jade was already getting used to it and even grew into it, her caresses and touches slowly melting into something sweeter and softer as the time passes, though that didn’t stop her from complaining. When it was getting late, Trina eventually arrived, muttering bad stuff about her high heels and how uncomfortable and unpractical they were.
— So that’s how you get close to my pretty little sister? You can go now, Tori’s mean girlfriend.
— I’m NOT her girlfriend.
— Sure. Get off my sister.
Tori stood up from Jade, sat firm-ish on the sofa and dedicated Jade a soft, tender but silly chuckle.
— I’m fine, Jade. Thank you for taking care of me, you did a lot better than I thought, and…
Tori pulled her face closer and kissed her lips softly, grabbing Jade’s wrist gently. Nevertheless she catched her opposite by surprise, Jade surprisingly just let Tori tower her and pulled away with the tiniest smile on her almost unexpressive face, and her finger lightly caressed Tori’s
— Mmmh… maybe you should get sick more often.
— I’ll take that account.
— Good.
The black haired girl kissed her chin and exited her house without any other word. Tori touched the spot again and smiled to herself, while Trina judged her with her gaze.
— I didn’t know friends kissed eachother
Tori just shrugs at Trina, still smiling.
— “Well, now you do.”
