Quit Moving

Summary:

Hizashi keeps shifting around in bed, teasing Shouta with exaggerated movements. Shouta, exhausted and irritated, calls him out for trying to start something when they both need sleep. Their back-and-forth turns playful and suggestive.

Work Text:

“I know what you’re doing,” Aizawa muttered, eyes half-lidded as he tried to ignore the warmth at his back.
“I’m not doing anything,” Hizashi said, voice bubbling with fake innocence.
“You’re moving.”
“No, I’m not.”
“You’re grinding.”
“I’m getting comfy,” Hizashi sing-songed, rolling his hips in an exaggerated flourish.
“That’s not comfy,” Aizawa grumbled, cracking one eye open. “That’s trouble.”
“Same thing, babe.” Hizashi grinned against his shoulder.
“You’re getting us both worked up,” Aizawa warned, even as his voice softened, “and we need sleep.”
“Or,” Hizashi purred, pressing just a little closer, “we make really good use of being awake.”
Aizawa sighed, the kind of long-suffering sound that meant he’d already lost this battle. “You’re relentless.”
“Part of my charm,” Hizashi said, smug and far too awake for this hour. He slid an arm around Aizawa’s waist, fingertips drumming lazily against his hip.
“Charm isn’t what I’d call it,” Aizawa muttered, though he didn’t push him away.
“Mm, you’re not complaining very hard.” Hizashi’s breath was warm against his neck now, his voice dropping into something smoother, teasing. “C’mon, Sho… just a little fun. You can sleep after.”
“You said that last time,” Aizawa deadpanned, but his voice caught just slightly when Hizashi’s nose brushed the edge of his jaw.
“Last time was a warm-up.”
Aizawa groaned into the pillow, though it sounded a lot less annoyed and a lot more resigned. “You’re impossible.”
“And you love it.” Hizashi grinned, already shifting closer, clearly sensing victory.
Aizawa shifted, trying to wedge himself deeper into the pillow like that would block Hizashi out. “You’re impossible.”
“And you’re adorable when you’re grumpy.” Hizashi gave him an affectionate squeeze. “It’s like cuddling a very handsome cactus.”
“Do cacti talk this much?”
“Only the cool ones.” Hizashi’s voice dipped closer to his ear. “And you like it. Admit it.”
Aizawa’s lips twitched—the faintest ghost of a smile—but he stayed quiet.
“Silent treatment, huh?” Hizashi pressed his advantage, dragging his words out in a sing-song lilt. “You know that doesn’t work on me.”
“You’re supposed to be asleep,” Aizawa said, finally turning just enough to glare at him. “We both are,” turning back over.
“Oh, I’m wide awake.” Hizashi grinned, all teeth and mischief, and wiggled his hips again to make a point.
Aizawa exhaled through his nose, trying very hard to look annoyed. “You’re doing it on purpose.”
“Duh.”
“Yamada—”
“Shouta.” Hizashi interrupted in a low, conspiratorial tone, his forehead resting against Aizawa’s temple. “Tell me to stop, and I will. But if you don’t…” He let the sentence hang, full of promise.
For a long moment, the only sound was Aizawa’s quiet breathing. Then, finally, he muttered, “You’re going to regret keeping me awake.”
“Worth it,” Hizashi said instantly, grin widening as Aizawa rolled over to face him fully.
“Fine,” Shouta muttered, eyes narrowing in mock warning. “But you’re doing all the work.”
“I wouldn’t have it any other way.” Hizashi’s grin widened as he rolled on top of Shouta, bracing his arms on either side of his head. His long hair fell forward in a golden curtain, brushing against Shouta’s face and framing them in their own secret space.
“Excited, much?” Shouta deadpanned, though his voice was softer now, almost fond.
“You have no idea,” Hizashi murmured, leaning closer until his breath was warm against Shouta’s lips.
Shouta exhaled slowly, resigned and maybe a little amused. “You’re insufferable.”
“And you love it,” Hizashi whispered back, catching the faintest smirk tugging at the corner of Shouta’s mouth.
The space between them disappeared. The rest of the world blurred—until there was nothing but the tangle of limbs, muffled laughter, and the quiet hum of a night that refused to let them sleep.
