Loyalty

Summary:

After a cooperation exercise between RWBY and JNPR, Blake discovers that Jaune is a surprisingly adept leader—organized, attentive, and capable of reminding her of how things felt when she was in the White Fang, utterly devoted to a cause and a Great Leader's vision. Feelings so strong she starts finding herself acting once more like a fanatically devoted second-in-command, only worse, because this time, the Great Leader actually knows how to value her organizational talents and so Blake has very few reasons to not become utterly committed to him and also perhaps his love life and ensuring the Great Leader has an equally perfect Queen for his...

Maybe she needs to start reining things in. Maybe things are getting a little out of hand. Or maybe she just needs to double down on wholeheartedly supporting Jaune?

Work Text:

Kale.

It was funny: a month ago, if Yang had been asked about the difference between Kale, Lettuce, and Cabbage, she’d probably answer with a punch in the jaw for even asking her about leafy greens. She was a Patch girl, and those were the food her food ate. But now, as she stuffed a bunch of dark green leaves into the blender, she was shocked that she not only had knew what Kale was, she had opinions on Kale. As she slapped on the top and hit go on the blender to let it whirl, Yang was already just thinking about how it’d taste with some chia seeds. Pouring it into a glass, she took a deep, refreshing sip and enjoyed the rich and complex flavor. But as she drank it, she heard the door open, and with it, came her partner.

“Hey Blake!”

“Hey, Yang, do you- Oh, is that- is that one of Ren's smoothies?”

Yang grinned, holding it up for Blake to see. Yeah, they looked gross as hell and they did taste a little… unusual, but after a workout? Magic!

“Yeah, Ren really sold me on them!” she said before taking another slurp.

Yang hadn't been so sure on Ruby's plan—though she was going to defend her little sister's plans, always, everytime, no matter what—but having each member of Team RWBY partner up and train with a member of Team JNPR for stronger inter-team development seemed kind of hokey to her. But really, it had played out way better than she'd ever expected! She had thought it'd make sense for herself to be paired with Pyrrha, since they were both top level fighters, or Nora, because Nora kind of was JNPR's Yang, and even Jaune was at least a fellow Valean with a melee specialty and also, blond. Ren was the last member of JNPR she thought she could have a connection with, but… well, the smoothie in her hand said enough.

“Yep,” she said with a grin, “The two of us? Really hit it off. I'm as surprised as anyone, but with his history with Nora, he knew how to roll with my teasing while I know enough martial arts from my dad that I could keep up with Ren's lingo. And that meant I could realize that Ren has a really killer dry wit. And after that, it was smoothie sailing!”

She sucked on her straw to punctuate the pun, taking in the taste of the thick green smoothie. Closing her eyes, she enjoyed the texture, the rich taste… making Blake wince… good stuff.

It had really been a coup for Ruby. Good enough that she didn't even blame her sister for calling dibs on Pyrrha. They'd all worked out really well. She'd thought for sure pairing Weiss with Nora would end in a stabbing or something, but it had also been a surprise success. She didn't really have the story, but she did know that it had ended up with the both of them pranking Yatsuhashi as some kind of vengeance against the tall. And for the last…

“How'd things go with you and Jaune?”

Blake didn't answer.

That was when Yang realized that the expression on her partner's face wasn't a good one.

“There's… there's a problem.”

Yang got serious in a hurry. “What's going on?” she asked, knowing not to push too hard when it came to her partner, but also, knowing real well that waiting for Blake to feel comfortable enough wasn't the right move.

Blake bit her lip, eyes downcast. Yang put a hand on her arm, gently encouraging her to speak.

“Well, working with Jaune, you know I, I have a history, um, with men…”

Yang nodded, but she had a sinking feeling in her gut that this was not going to be good.

“Well, with, um, with Adam…”

Blake's words trailed off at just about the worst point for that sentence. Yang knew about Blake's ex. Knew enough to know this was something bad.

“What did Jaune do,” Yang asked gravely, brows furrowing, her fists clenching as she felt a surge of protective-

“No! No! He didn't- it's me, Yang, I'm the problem here!”

“Oh,” Yang said, blinking as she felt the anger unknot in her chest, “That's… good? I guess?”

Blake buried her face in her hands. “It's… it's embarrassing,” she moaned, “But it's… it's serious, Yang, really serious.”

Yang gave her a sympathetic pat on the shoulder. She wasn’t really sure what Blake was going to say now, but she wouldn’t be like this if it wasn’t important.

“It's okay,” she said, “No matter what it is, you can tell me.”

Blake took a moment to pull her thoughts together, giving Yang a small and pathetic look.

“I didn't… didn't know what Ruby was thinking pairing me with him, I thought it was just going to be something I did politely for Ruby's sake, but then I put him to work on reviewing witness statements about the White Fang-”

“We, uh, we were supposed to be collaborating on training,” Yang cut in, to no avail.

“-and he’s… he’s just really organized, Yang.”

Yang waited for Blake to say more.

And had to keep waiting.

“He… is?” Yang said at last.

Blake threw her hands up in the air.

“He is! I… you should have seen him, Yang! He went through media reports, cross-referenced accounts, put together a map and a timeline, and- and the spreadsheets! The spreadsheets, Yang, they were brilliant!”

“Okay…” Yang said slowly, reminding herself that she was here to support her friend and partner, “So he's organized, that's… that's not a problem. It's good to know that someone here is good at… keeping track of things.”

She paused for a moment as she saw Blake… shiver in response, getting a raised eyebrow out of Yang.

Blake blushed. “It's just that… organization is really important in a movement. Back in the White Fang, I had to keep track of… pretty much everything. All the stuff Jaune could just…”

Her words drifted off as a dreamy smile came to her face.

“He's incredible, Yang, just… the way he looks at complex situations and pulls out insights… in just a few days, we had an org chart, with photos, and…”

She looked up, eyes full of wonder until they met Yang's gaze, making her get serious in a hurry.

“And I'd see him work and I just… I started finding myself feeling… loyal to him. Like… he knew what he was doing. And it was like… like back then. Where I had a Leader and it was like he had some grand plan and it was my destiny to see it come to fruition. I felt like… like I did before I started seeing Adam for who he really was. It's… it's an incredible feeling, but… but it's strong. It's so strong, Yang, I don't…”

She started wringing her hands as Yang gave her a sympathetic pat. Inexplicable or not, Blake was clearly dealing with some real emotions here.

Blake gave her a sad smile. “He's got a really good voice for just… giving commands.”

“Commands?” Yang asked, raising an eyebrow.

Blake blushed. “Not- not literally, he just… looked at things that had been tripping me up and just… told me what I could do and suddenly, things weren't… weren't so impossible. It felt nice, but…”

Blake suddenly went quiet.

“Yang, I… I let him see the Board and…” her voice dropped low as she looked at Yang, wide-eyed, “Yang, I let him rearrange it.”

Yang froze.

The Board was… the Board was serious business. A massive, ridiculous mess of photos and newspaper clippings held together with red string. Yang knew to tread lightly when it came to the Board, even though it was basically never a good sign for her partner’s mental health when she was putting sleepless nights into it. As far as Blake was concerned, letting someone else rearrange it? That was basically third base. She-

Oh, who was she kidding? With Blake and that Board? That was basically anal. Blake offering that even before the first date? She had it bad for the Vomit Boy, and that… well, that actually did help Yang understand what, exactly, was going on here. Even if Blake… probably didn’t want to hear it.

“So… I don't want to be out of line here,” she cautiously began, “but… if you're having feelings towards Jaune that are like… what you had for your ex, maybe that's because… you have a crush on Jaune?”

It wasn't the worst pairing in the world. Definitely more reasonable than Jaune and Weiss, and ever since Yang had come to accept that Blake and Sun weren't going to ever get more serious, she'd been keeping an eye open for someone for her partner. And Jaune wasn't a terrible fit for Blake, even if she did set off her more maniacal side. If a more carefree guy wasn't really what she was looking for, maybe she would be happy with somebody who complemented her more analytical side. And Jaune was a good leader, when he wasn’t being a doofus. Heck, Yang could even admit that, as a Team Leader, Jaune had demonstrated a lot of talent! He had to manage both Nora and Pyrrha? That was not an easy task for even someone with a more… traditional background. As Yang was starting to learn with her little sis, sometimes, good leadership meant more than just formal qualifications… something that was really helping her understand where her dad was coming from- but that wasn’t what Yang was dealing with right now!

Especially as Blake shook her head no. “It's… it's not like that. I don't want to be with Jaune romantically, I just…” she searched for her words, “I want to follow him. His lieutenant, his personal aid, his secretary, not- not his wife.”

…Yang didn't say wife. Wife was not part of the conversation until now.

But Blake continued. “I'm feeling like the only thing that's stopping me from trying to get Jaune and Weiss together is that… I don't think Weiss would be a good girlfriend for him.”

Yang gave her a long look. “Not… Jaune would be a bad boyfriend for Weiss?”

They'd talked about that whole business, talked about it a lot. Jaune's abortive attempts to ask Weiss out hadn't left a good impression on anyone, which made Blake's recent infatuation seem a little out of nowhere, even if he did have his food points.

“No, no,” Blake shook her head, “She's too… stiff for Jaune. The kind of woman who should be at his side is someone… someone striking. Glamorous. Someone who lets people know at a glance that he's someone they should pay attention to! I mean…” she blushed, “Yang, you wouldn't be open to-”

“We're talking about Jaune?” Yang choked out, “You think Vomit Boy could-”

Blake thrust an accusatory finger at Blake and snapped, “Speak ill of the Great Leader again and-”

She stopped, mid-accusation. Suddenly sheepish, she put her finger down and blushed, but… wow, that had been… that had been intense. Yang had seen Blake get fired up about social causes, but defending Jaune of all people, that set her off!

“Let's… let's change the subject…” Yang said.

“No, no,” Blake shook her head, “I… this is the problem, Yang! I can’t trust myself about him! He’s not even here and in that moment, I just… it was like there was nothing in the world that was more important than his honor.”

This was weird.

Even for them this was weird. Nora and Weiss forming a fast friendship around their shared pride in being short? Normal Beacon hijinks. Blake pledging her life to Jaune like he was a feudal daimyo from one of her books? That was something else.

At the same time… come on, girl! How was this anything but a crush! A mega-super- dangerous crush, but when a guy becomes the most important thing in your world… geez, what else could this be?

But… Yang still knew not to push it. Weird or not, Blake had real problems here, and Yang wasn't going to leave her to face it alone.

“Alright,” Yang said, clapping her hands together and focusing up, “So the problem is, you have these sudden feelings of loyalty, right?”

Blake nodded, meekly.

“Okay, alright, so… sometimes, your imagination gets ahead of you. That's not the end of the world! There's a world of difference between thinking about something and doing something, and I've been in and out of enough therapists to tell me that just because you feel something doesn't mean you have to do something. Right now, all you've done is had a few idle thoughts—thoughts that you could immediately recognize weren't normal. So… maybe you're a little off-kilter, but you just have to keep in mind that it's just a thought. Give it some time, and if you don't let yourself act on it, it'll pass!”

Blake didn't look convinced. “But… but with Adam-”

Yang cut her off right there.

“The problem with Adam was Adam. Not you. He took advantage of your infa- faith in him, and led you towards extremism and violence. But Jaune isn't going to do that! He's a good guy and… he doesn't really have that much going on outside of keeping his head above water with his homework. So as long as you're not offering to write his essay for Port's class-”

“Wouldn't have to, it's brilliant,” Blake said dreamily.

Which Yang ignored. “-you're just having some intrusive thoughts. It's something we can work on, but you just have to keep in mind that, if you're feeling particularly loyal, you can just take a deep breath, step back, disengage from the moment, and if you have to… just let me know. Anytime, if you need someone to talk you down, just let me know, and we'll get you through this, together!”

“Really?” Blake asked.

“Of course!” Yang laughed, “You and me, we can head things off before they get out of hand and ride it out together!”

Blake gave her a soft smile. “Thanks, Yang.”

Yang beamed as she gave Blake a punch in the arm. She was good at this! For someone who had never had more than two consecutive meetings with any of her court-appointed therapists, Yang was pretty good at giving psychology advice! Heck, she could make a career out of it!

Well, so long as everything went alright with Blake, but Yang figured she just had to wait for Blake to figure out that she just had a crush, and from there, it'd be smooth sailing!

The library was Blake's safe place. Hidden among the rows upon rows of books, she had a thousand worlds to slip into. Worlds where she could get lost in problems that weren't her own, worlds that weren't defined by prejudice, where she didn't have famous parents she could feel herself not living up to, a world where she hadn't made so many mistakes…

Also, it was easy to literally hide there because the bookshelves blocked sight lines and there were some really comfy chairs in the back.

Today, though, she didn't want to be in the back. In the back, it was too easy to find herself alone with her thoughts, and right now, she didn't want that. She wanted to be… normal. And being among normal people helped with that. All around her, other students were working on their homework or doing research for fieldwork. Not envisioning a world under the glorious leadership of another-

Bzzzt!

Her scroll buzzed. It was a welcome interruption. She took it up and… and she…

She saw the email in her inbox.

“Updated Notes on White Fang Investigation.”

Blake bit her lip. She knew she shouldn't open it, but the rush of excitement hit her too hard not to! She opened it and…

Oh gods.

It used pivot tables.

Blake bit her lip as she let her eyes roam over the spreadsheet. See how he organized the data, what his incomparable gaze saw that she didn't. The connections he forced, the questions he asked, the way he turned the confusion of the world into sensible order? She would follow him to the ends of Remnant! If he commanded her to drink poison to show-

No!

This was the kind of thing Yang told her she had to disengage from! This was so much worse than with Adam, where his flaws, even as she studiously overlooked them, kept Blake from getting too sucked into his charisma. But that was all Adam had—charisma. Jaune didn’t have Adam’s presence among the troops, but he was a man who’d never do things like not allow the men to carry water with them because “thirst focuses the mind” or refer to keeping track of ammo stockpiles as “women’s work, unfit for warriors.” Jaune would never… he’d recognize how essential Blake was to the operation and show her how she could be even better under his leadership. Which was… why she had to stop thinking about these things. Get her mind off Jaune and his… his sophisticated spreadsheets and d-data management-

Look around the library, find someone else to think about, something- anything at all!

There!

Pyrrha. Sensible, focused, reasonable Pyrrha, going over a book and taking notes for her Grimm Studies paper. Even though everyone knew that Port's grading system was just writing a 9 and then rolling a die, she was still working diligently. She really was the best of them, a Huntress's Huntress, someone who was so much more than her trophies. Though she certainly had trophies! The absolute exemplar of what a Huntress ought to be. That was the example Blake ought to be following. Hard work and self-sacrifice, like Pyrrha did. And…

Actually, come to think of it…

Jaune and Pyrrha would make a cute couple, wouldn't they?

No, no… Yang had been right, she shouldn't let her mind go to weird places. But on the plus side, this was one place where she could stop herself easily. In spite of what Weiss might imply about her, Blake wasn't some porn-addled pervert who couldn't see a boy and a girl and not imagine them hooking up. After all, Pyrrha was Pyrrha. Even Neptune didn't hit on her, and Blake had seen him hit up a coatrack for “her” scroll number before he realized it wasn’t a girl. Even Coco didn't hit on Pyrrha! Just because Pyrrha was gorgeous, famous, genuinely kind, near-universally beloved, and unbelievably capable didn't mean she'd be an ideal First Lady of the movement. She was… beyond anyone else, untouchable, unreachable, the sort of woman who just had an air of peerlessness about her. And there was that whole loneliness thing Pyrrha had going on. How often did she hear Pyrrha go on about destiny? Looking for purpose and a cause that could make her feel like she was using her talents for something real?

It was really obvious when she thought about it. Jaune's brilliant mind. Pyrrha as his strong right hand. Blake as his left. Both of them utterly devoted to a singular purpose of seeing his will carried out? In the field and… elsewhere. Pyrrha was gorgeous after all. Blake could certainly imagine a few things Jaune could do with her! They'd see his every-

No! Bad Blake! Don't- don't get weird about things! It didn't matter that Pyrrha would be perfect for Jaune if Pyrrha wasn't interested in him. She was Jaune's partner, and while they were friends, neither of them seemed to have any sort of romantic interest in the other.

Obviously, there was nothing there. Blake looked at Pyrrha out of the corner of her eye. She was the single most put-together girl at Beacon, even more so than Weiss. If she was even into guys, she'd have made a move on someone.

Which… meant that this was actually not so weird, not really. When she thought about it. It wasn't really that odd to start imagining her, arm in arm with Jaune on a balcony as they waved to an adoring crowd.

It was like Yang was saying. Difference between thinking something and doing something. She could spend all day picturing Pyrrha and Jaune together and it wouldn't go anywhere! It couldn’t! With a grin, she looked back down at her book, feeling proud of herself for her sensibility here. And it gave her some insight: now that she wasn't trying to suppress her thoughts, they weren't overwhelming her! So she could just think about Jaune giving her orders…

“Blake,” Jaune said, his voice immediately making her entire body respond, eager for command.

“Sir?” she asked respectfully, awaiting how he could best make use of her skills.

“My queen's glass needs a refill.”

Anyone else and Blake would refuse any request for her to do menial labor, but when Jaune commanded it, she just… ooooh, and if she was in a uniform more fitting for…

Blake leaned back in her seat. Maybe she did need to find a more private place to… think about things a little more…

“How about now, how's the spring mechanism feeling?”

Pyrrha shifted Milo from spear to rifle and back again. She had to admit, she'd never heard it change so smoothly. No clicks, no whir, just the easy, fluid shift from one form to another.

“It's… pretty much perfect," she said as Ruby gave an eager fist pump. Pyrrha had been reluctant at first to hand her arms over to Ruby, nervous about what the excitable Team Leader might do with them, but… she was actually a real help for Pyrrha. But just… a prodigy when it came to weapons, someone whose cheerfulness and enthusiasm cut through Pyrrha's self-consciousness and made her feel… so much more relaxed than she normally was.

Well, maybe not as relaxed as when she was on the rooftop, alone with Jaune, the one place where she truly felt free…

But this was nice, too!

Clicking the safety on and off her rifle and testing the reload mechanism, she marveled, “You've done some incredible work with Milo this week…”

“Awww, it was nothing!” Ruby said, blushing bright red as she said it, “Just, you know, wanted to take a look at it and be a total weapons dork. I- I should be thanking you, really! A Haberman spring into a Blaustein fork? It’s an incredible piece of design!”

Pyrrha smiled. “Well, let me thank you for all the time we spent together. I… it was nice to just be… friends.”

Ruby's smile was absolutely dazzling.

“You did a good job with this!” Pyrrha continued, “This cross-team team up idea went really well.”

“Yep!” Ruby said, beaming from ear to ear before she leaned in conspiratorially. “But… I might have had another reason for doing it…”

Ruby snickered, very clearly pleased with herself.

Pyrrha, though, wasn't sure what her meaning might be. It had been an unexpectedly successful strategy, but in ways that all lined up with Ruby's stated goals. Ren working with Yang helped both of them with their martial arts. Weiss and Nora's strengthened bond brought both their teams together by heading off an obvious point of contention. She was right now working with Ruby to help the both of them get better with their armaments, none of it seemed like it needed any conspiracy.

But Ruby waggled her eyebrows in an exaggerated fashion and asked:

“You don't think Blake and Jaune have chemistry?”

Pyrrha reeled at the implication! It took her an entire fraction of a second to marshal her body back to her usual state of absolute control. She could not let anyone know that she had a crush on Jaune. Absolutely unthinkable. Because if anyone, outside of Ren and Nora, her personal confidants, had a hint of her true feelings, well, how did Pyrrha know that they only knew that? Knowing that the Invincible Girl had a crush on her Team Leader was only a half jump from knowing that the Invincible Girl had sexual thoughts. And not just thoughts… fantasies. And if they knew that… she couldn't bear the shame of her fans learning that she was so… wretched, base, and depraved! So she couldn't let anyone, anyone at all, know her true feelings, even if Ruby's words raked across her as Pyrrha reckoned with the discovery that Ruby was actually working against her hopes of one day dating Jaune!

But as she held back her reaction, Pyrrha’s absolute commitment to fairness meant she had to acknowledge that… Ruby may have had a point.

Jaune and Blake… did look good together. Blake was… very pretty. Very pretty. Beautiful in the same way Weiss was, but with the contrast of her dark hair cascading in waves on her flawless, porcelain skin. She had an elegant, enchanting look, a beguiling beauty that left men tongue-tied around her. Pyrrha… Pyrrha got it. Blake had once, teasingly, winked at her across the breakfast table and Pyrrha had felt her heart skip a beat! If she gave Jaune a wink like that… just imagining it had Pyrrha feeling butterflies in her stomach! What man could resist such a woman?

“And like,” Ruby continued while Pyrrha stared at the wall, “you didn't hear this from me, but I think my plan's paying off. I caught Blake giving Jaune a glance when he wasn't looking, and it was the kind of glance I've spent my whole life watching guys give Yang.”

So it wasn't just Ruby getting things started. It was already over. Blake had fallen for Jaune and, if he hadn't already, he would fall for her, too. Of course he would! A gorgeous woman like her, a woman who actually knew how to use her curves… Pyrrha had no end of memories of watching Blake move, amazed at how she could be so subtle in her movements, and yet, the roll of her hips beckoned Pyrrha's attention… just as surely as she now was beguiling Jaune. While Pyrrha was just… all efficiency and propriety with her body, only useful for battle as the Invincible Girl, not charming a boy like a woman.

It was… it was a crushing thought. But she couldn't stop it. Not as her mind rolled forward, past how Blake had charmed Jaune to the point they were surely at now. Two undeniably attractive people who would be even more attractive together. They’d see it. The whole world, outside of Pyrrha, had already seen it. Jaune’s strong, Valean farmboy looks, his messy blond hair, his broad chest… he was practically made for a dark and mysterious beauty, a seductive catgirl who turned to him to be her strength and support—Pyrrha knew how good Jaune was at that!—and she was so grateful, so very grateful…

She could picture it. Blake would just fit perfectly on his lap, purring as she sat on him. She was… she would be kissing him. Playful, tender kisses… loving kisses, the kind Pyrrha would be too awkward and inexperienced to do. Not Blake, though. Blake was a real woman, the kind that could satisfy a man.

Nnnnnn… Jaune wouldn't have to settle for some insecure and needy virgin. Not with a girl like Blake on his lap, all… sexy and uninhibited…

She'd turn to look at Pyrrha, an amused look in her eye as she saw the Invincible Girl so easily vanquished. What could she do to compete with perfect, flawless, sexy Blake Belladonna? She didn't even have to stop riding Jaune—yes, she'd be riding him, not even caring that some sad little loser like Pyrrha was watching—as she gave her a mock-pitying look. She'd make sure to raise her butt up, let Pyrrha get a good look at- oh gods, oh gods- how big Jaune's cock was and how- how Blake could handle it. She could ride up and down on it, making Jaune feel so fucking good… while Pyrrha just watched. Watched in pathetic dismay as she saw the better woman make love the way she never could. Seeing the curve of that ass as it jiggled every time Blake slammed it down to better feel Jaune’s cock crush her pussy…

“They'd be perfect together…” Pyrrha exhaled.

“Yeah!” Ruby cheered, “You're getting it!”

So Pyrrha wanted to chat.

Blake didn't know about what, she wasn't sure she could guess. The message had come at a… particularly exciting contemplation of how Jaune might lay out a meeting agenda. So… efficiently that they'd get done with plenty of time for Jaune to give Pyrrha the sort of attention a woman like her deserved. The interruption came just as things were getting really good and steamy, but seeing it was a message from Pyrrha? Blake knew she had to handle this right because…

Blake's lips curled up in a smile. If Jaune was counting on her to be competent and on the ball, this made all this very, very exciting!

…but all in her imagination of course. She wasn't really Jaune's devoted lieutenant, no more than she was his personal maid. Even though she'd look amazing in a little black and white outfit, something frilly with a short skirt, maybe give him a little peek as she bent over and… but that was neither here nor there. She was meeting with Pyrrha in one of Beacon’s many unused classrooms and now she'd arrived, with Pyrrha already waiting for her. She wasn't sure what this was about, but she knew this was time for her A game. After all…

Jaune was counting on her.

“Hey Pyrrha, what's up?” she said, affecting a casual tone.

“Oh! Blake!” Pyrrha said, uncharacteristically startled by Blake's arrival, “S-sorry, I was… lost in thought.”

“Something on your mind?”

“I! Well, um, th-there’s a lot, summer tournaments and… things.”

Blake knew not to read too much into it. She could very easily be seeing what she wanted to be seeing, but this level of fluster, that shade of blush, on Pyrrha's face… it had to be a sexy thought, right? Nothing else would leave her so flustered, and if she was thinking sexy thoughts about Jaune, about how his jaw would drop when he saw what she looked like from behind, butt raised high, showing off how flawless and desirable she was…

Well, Blake was right there with her!

“Pyrrha “ she said sympathetically, moving in close to take her hands in hers, “You know me, you know I'm discreet, and… I figure if you wanted to talk with me privately, there's one particular topic you might be coming to me for…”

Pyrrha went very, very red at that, but Blake could see that going in her favor. JNPR and RWBY were very close teams, sharing practically every meal and frequently gossiping among themselves, so Pyrrha had no-doubt heard from Yang and Weiss all about how Blake was Beacon’s resident pervert. It was an uncharitable assumption—Ninjas of Love was hardly smut, after all, not like the trashy pirate books her mom read—but it was one that was working in her favor right now. It was obvious: Pyrrha was struggling with some unchaste thoughts—probably about Jaune—that went against her squeaky-clean image. So she went to Blake for help, and wouldn’t she know it, Blake had been thinking of offering her just this assistance! She’d help Pyrrha out, get her to confess her love to Jaune, they’d become Beacon’s power couple—Blake would have to start working on publicizing that—and it’d be a strong start to…

Okay, this wasn't exactly in line with what she and Yang had talked about, but Yang had made a great point about how Blake could recognize if she was being weird, and right now, this felt really normal! She was helping two people get together, and that was just some harmless matchmaking. They were cute together! And that was the main thing. Not how Pyrrha and Jaune's love story could inspire a nation as he led them into a new age, even though it obviously could.

But that was only if Blake could pull this off.

She gave the bright-red Pyrrha a reassuring smile as she told her, “You don’t have to say it if you’re not comfortable saying it, I think we both know why you’re really here, but Pyrrha… take it from me: saying it out loud? You’ll feel so much better for it.”

Pyrrha bit her lip, lowering her gaze to the floor as she tried to summon the will to speak. Blake had seen Pyrrha in many ways, in class, at the breakfast table, on the news—she and Weiss were the only Beacon students she knew of before arriving—but she always looked so… so sure of who she was. She was polite. She was reserved. But that was the way she was, the Girl Next Door of Argus, the Sweetheart of Mistral, but that wasn’t Pyrrha right now, her chest rising and falling with deep, steadying breaths.

She looked so… vulnerable like this.

Blake knew, Blake knew so well how hard it was to be the picture of feminine strength, a strong voice, a resolute and bold leader while, inside, she felt so… worn and fragile. It was the same part of Blake’s heart that leapt at seeing Jaune’s strength, at knowing he could take charge, could handle the things she couldn’t. She needed his strength, leadership, guidance, direction… and Pyrrha did too. This wasn’t just about ensuring Jaune had a worthy bride and Queen, it was… it was helping out a friend.

So it wasn’t weird at all! Even Yang would agree with that!

“I… I wanted to know,” Pyrrha said slowly, haltingly, “if you were… thinking of asking Jaune out.”

Blake raised an eyebrow at that, caught off guard by the sudden shift in direction, making her speak without thinking, “Oh, I was wondering if you and Jaune-”

“Oh, no no no no nonono!” Pyrrha cried, “Jaune- we're just friends! Completely friends, there's- did someone say we were- we're just friends!”

Subtle.

Blake forced back a grin as she saw things falling into place so easily, she just-

“But- but Blake, I'm not going to get in the way of you and Jaune. And- and I think you'd be really… cute together. R-really, um, really…”

Her words trailed off as her voice got oddly… breathy. But Blake had to keep from getting sidetracked. This was a situation, a complicated one, and she had to play it just right. Obviously, Pyrrha was in love with Jaune, Blake had already figured that out, but right now, trying to act like she saw Blake going after him? The reasonable inference was that Pyrrha, the Invincible Girl, wasn’t familiar with situations where she didn’t have absolute certainty of victory. Homework, tests, arena matches, Pyrrha always won and Pyrrha knew she always won. But affairs of the heart? Much more complicated.

So her mind was conjuring up ways she could lose and, unfamiliar with this kind of challenge, her instincts were to lose with dignity instead of claim her man with the overwhelming force Pyrrha was absolutely capable of bringing to bear. Not just because she was a beauty with the kindest eyes Blake had ever seen, but she had a rack that even Yang gave a few begrudging compliments. Seriously, incredible tits. Zero percent chance Pyrrha would actually lose to Blake if they were both making a play for him.

But Pyrrha didn’t know romance like Blake did, so she was rationalizing herself to losing with dignity and, having tricked herself into this situation, wouldn’t accept Blake simply saying that she had no interest in Jaune. She’d just… assume Blake was lying, because she’d spent so much time psyching herself up onto this track, it’d take way more than Blake had to get her off of it.

But there was an avenue here.

The way Pyrrha was looking at her, her eyes roaming over her body, the way she exhaled as she took Blake in? Pyrrha might be an untouchable goddess who made Blake feel like she ought to be on her knees in supplication, but she was also, definition, 100% checking her out. And if that gave her an opening…

Then there was really only one option.

Seduce her. For Jaune.

Blake gave Pyrrha a coquettish smile, her body language shifting to ooze sensuality and invite Pyrrha's attention. It felt so… right, her talents merging with Jaune’s vision? She felt- felt like she did when she was with the Fang, the crackle of energy as she threw herself into a cause bigger than herself! Yes, Blake would not fail!

“So you think Jaune and I would be cute together?” she asked. Pyrrha blinked in surprise, her body half-reeling backwards as Blake ever-so-slightly advanced upon her. “That’s what you’re thinking? Not… something else?”

Pyrrha just reeled in front of her, mouth opening, but no words coming. Blake allowed her smile to widen—she’d hit her bullseye. From here, it was all so obvious. Purr and flirt and get Pyrrha heated up until she was melting, until she was so hot she couldn't think straight and then she'd see her vision… Jaune's vision. His masterful gaze that made everything find its proper place… Pyrrha at his side, Blake on her knees…

She could even get a little ahead of herself on that. Gods, Pyrrha was so sexy. Jaune deserved a girl this sexy. She would be his queen, seated beside him as Blake prostrated herself before them both, awaiting their orders on how she might serve them. She moved in closer, so close that she could feel Pyrrha’s breath on her face, the Amazon towering above her, even as her heart was obviously racing and she seemed so unsure, Blake saw a Queen before her. Jaune's Queen!

And Blake would not fail Jaune!

Surrender was not going how Pyrrha expected.

After her conversation with Ruby left her so… out of sorts, Pyrrha had taken some time to collect herself, take a deep breath, and try to lose with dignity. It wasn’t… wasn’t necessary to be made a fool of, so she might as well take the pain head on and get it over with. How to do it, Pyrrha wasn’t sure. Ask to speak with Blake and… congratulate her on her victory and shake her hand? Losing was the one thing Pyrrha had even less experience in than romance, but of everything that might have gone wrong, this was a lot… this felt… part of her…

She hadn't expected it might feel good!

Blake was so close to her, her body practically pushed into Pyrrha's, her eyes looking up into hers, amber orbs sparkling mischievously as Pyrrha's mouth went dry. It was like… some kind of Semblance that sapped Pyrrha of her strength and made it- made it very hard to think.

She knew Blake was beautiful—far more beautiful than some dull, lanky gladiator—but this close? She just… couldn't pull herself free from the gravity of Blake's charms now put on display against her. She- she wasn't into girls, Pyrrha didn't- she was just appreciating her looks and recognizing that Jaune would… would surely find himself in this same position! He'd… he'd find himself staring into Blake's eyes, finding himself utterly trapped in her playful gaze as she beckoned him to think of her lips so close to him…

Blake… Blake's lips just captivated Pyrrha's eyes, seeing them purse in front of her. She felt them pull her in, but… but even more strongly, Pyrrha could picture those same lips puckering up for Jaune. D-dropping low as she- as she went for-

Blake kissed her.

It was Pyrrha’s first kiss and it was… it was incredible. All her thoughts, her confusion, everything swirling about her left her vulnerable to the purse sensation of it and it left Pyrrha reeling. She felt the softness of Blake's lips press against hers, making Pyrrha realize how wonderful they were… and how perfect they would be if they were- if they were wrapped around something else. Something long. Hard. Jaune's.

Pyrrha moaned into Blake's kiss. This was so incredible, so impossible, so wondrous, and somehow, it could be even better. Pyrrha kissed Blake hungrily, trying to vent some of the heat that was overtaking her, making it impossible to think straight! She kissed Pyrrha and her every movement set off fireworks, the lewdest images she’d ever thought before now bloomed in her mind. Blake’s head bobbing back and forth down Jaune’s cock, Blake smirking as she showed Pyrrha how much better she was at taking a thick, meaty pole into her pussy, Blake… o-ohh, Blake making Jaune moan as she serviced him, rode him, lay beneath him, Blake in a million seductive poses, Blake’s eyes alight with erotic temptation, Blake’s perfect ass waving back and forth, Blake, oh Blake!

Her legs grew weak, her whole body sagged from Blake’s kiss, stumbling backwards as she—for the first time since she was a child—lost her balance and had to brace herself against the wall to keep from falling down in a heap! But Blake advanced upon her, making Pyrrha’s unfamiliar… vulnerability feel so much more exciting! She was still reeling, unable to stand up properly, feeling defeat loom over her in the form of a seductive catgirl… she knew there would come a day when she was utterly conquered, she had no idea she’d enjoy it so much!

“I know what you’re really doing,” Blake said, her voice serene and confident, oh gods yes she knew what Pyrrha was doing! “I know you’re not used to these feelings… I know they’re scary, but… Pyrrha, I’m here to help you.”

Oh gods.

Oh gods.

She knew! She knew that Pyrrha had been fantasizing about her fucking Jaune for days and now she was going to make those dreams come true! Pyrrha moaned deliriously as her body simply… went haywire. She’d been repressing her desires since she first met Jaune, and once Ruby pointed it out, everything came pouring in like a tidal wave. She’d never faced anything like this before, but all she had to do… was give in. Submit to Blake. To the better woman. Admit her defeat and simply hope that Blake was merciful enough to let an awkward, bumbling giraffe of a girl watch as Beacon’s star-crossed lovers entwined their godlike bodies!

“That’s good, that’s good,” Blake whispered, “You don’t have to say anything, just… let me help you, Pyrrha.”

She had her hands on Pyrrha. Pyrrha couldn’t remember the last time anyone had had their hands on her. And never like how Blake was upon her, buttons coming undone, dextrous fingers undoing her last defenses to find Pyrrha’s vulnerability. She slipped a hand into Pyrrha’s skirt and she couldn’t even attempt to fight it off as her better taught her how a real woman used her- her pusssssssyyyyyyyyyyy!

Blake’s finger had nimbly slipped into her panties and had begun to rub Pyrrha’s slit, revealing her humiliating wetness and teaching her that Blake’s fingers were simply better than her own, futile attempts at self pleasure. They danced on her lips, finding each place of greatest sensitivity and heating them into overdrive, no careless, thoughtless mashing but instead, a virtuoso performance that left Pyrrha seeing stars!

“You’re going to listen to me, right?,” she purred into Pyrrha’s ear, her height no longer an advantage when she was barely able to keep herself upright! “You know that I know what’s best for you, Pyrrha… that I'm making you feel good and I can make you feel so much better.”

“Wha- whatever you sssaaaaayyyyyy…” she moaned, just wanting- wanting more!

“That's good,” Blake giggled, her fingers delicately flicking her clit, rewarding Pyrrha with what was almost an avalanche of pleasure, a reminder of the thunderous, crashing force Blake was building up inside her… and her total control on when Pyrrha would get to experience it. Blake held her fingers so close, keeping it right there to let Pyrrha knew how close she was to her reward!

“You know what your destiny is, don't you?”

“Yesssssss…” Pyrrha exhaled, exhilarating in her defeat, welcoming a life of utter-

“You are going to be Jaune’s Queen, the love of his life, the woman who makes him happiest in the whole world!”

…what?

What?

What was- was this a test? What did she- she was supposed to be permanently stealing Jaune away from her, not- Did she mean that… that Jaune and Pyrrha would get married, but that would only be on the outside because Blake would be the one who had the marriage bed while Pyrrha slept on the floor? That- that was what she meant, right?

She looked at Blake in dull confusion, but… she didn’t have an imperious, mocking look on her face, but instead she just seemed… excited? Like- like she- like she wanted Jaune to settle for a plain, uninteresting girl like her?

“N-no,” she mumbled, “You and Jaune… you- you’re better for him, you- you should be-”

“No, Pyrrha,” she said sweetly, “I could never threaten you. You… Jaune deserves only the finest. The best. He deserves a woman as magnificent as you, a true Queen of Remnant!”

Pyrrha's eyes shot wide. That- that wasn't what she thought this was about! She thought she and Blake were on the same page, here! How did Blake not see that she was so much sexier than Pyrrha was? Pyrrha wasn’t even into girls and yet she had spent several days obsessed with Blake’s body! This was- this was very disappointing!

“Blake!” she hissed, hoping she was just misunderstanding things, “What are you doing?”

“You don't have to be afraid, Pyrrha,” Blake sighed, “I'll be your most loyal and devoted servant, you and Jaune only have to say the word-”

“But it should- it should be you!” Pyrrha cried, struggling against Blake's skillful fingers, getting more and more potent as she slipped into her- her absurd fantasies!

“You're Jaune's- ahh! J-Jaune's perfect woman!” she insisted, “The whole world should see you with him!”

“Nh-nuooo!” Pyrrha whined, though Blake was making it so hard to resist! “He- he d-deserves-”

“A glorious goddess of beauty and war,” Blake exhaled, “standing at Jaune's side, his loyal partner, his perfect queen, h-his, oh gods, his devoted wife!”

Pyrrha's eyes rolled in her skill as Blake's fingers did all they could to turn her into a messy puddle of lust and desire. She wanted Jaune, she did, she craved his body, but Blake… with her fingers… imagining all this skill brought to stroking Jaune's cock!

“Picture it,” Blake commanded as Pyrrha could only quiver in her grasp, “the whole world is watching as you accept another trophy. You take the cup. Jaune's there. He kisses you, on stage, before all the cameras, the whole world watches as he dips you… proclaims that you're his woman…”

She plunged her fingers into her pussy making Pyrrha gasp out as the words sank into her brain. But Pyrrha's mind was on other things the world could watch. Jaune and Blake filming themselves. Leak a sex tape. Send her a copy. Give useless, lesser women some pointers they could never hope to do as well as Blake could. Make a fortune off of Pyrrha as she desperately offered any price to see more!

“No!” Pyrrha cried out, feeling drunk on pleasure, “You… yher suuuooo sexy! You should have Jaune! You should- should make me watch! Unnngh, m-make me watch as you- t-take him from meeeeee!“

Blake’s… Blake’s fingers slowed down.

“Do you… do you really think that… that I should be dating Jaune?”

“YES!” Pyrrha cried, “Oh- oh gods, Blake, I need- need to see you fuck him!”

Blake stopped moving entirely. Pyrrha stared down at her.

The awkwardness of the moment hit them both at the exact same time. Blake still had her fingers inside Pyrrha, and neither of them wanted to move a single muscle, so all they could do was stare into each other’s eyes and watch as the exact same thoughts were running through them.

“So you…” Pyrrha croaked, finally breaking the silence. She… she had let things go along to this point, so she felt like she ought to take some responsibility for things. “You want… you want me to get together… with Jaune?”

“You… you like Jaune, don’t you?” Blake asked, “Like… like him like that, right?”

Pyrrha blushed—even now, in this circumstance, it was still difficult—and said, “Yes, I… I do.”

She was quiet for a moment. Blake… Blake still had her fingers inside her, which was… very much not how Pyrrha ever imagined this going when she first admitted her crush. But still… she’d said it now. It was out there, and it was in the world.

“But!” she said, hoping to carry forward some of her momentum, “I… I want… I want…”

Now or never, now or never! She squeezed her eyes shut and…

“I want to watch you and Jaune have sex!”

She braced herself for how Blake would take that, only to feel Blake’s hand (her other hand) on her shoulder. As she opened her eyes, she was Blake smiling at her, softly, reassuringly, as she chuckled.

“If that's what you need…” Blake murmured, her smile turning seductive, “Then we'll serve him as a pair. You as his right arm, me as his left, and we'll do everything for him. As long as you serve Jaune with all your heart and soul-”

“I will,” Pyrrha vowed, her eyes misting as she pictured it.

“-then I’ll fuck him like the dirtiest whore you can ever imagine. Give me the order, my Queen, and I will be our King’s personal cocksleeve!”

Something… something so perverse shouldn’t be so touching, but Pyrrha had to blink away a tear before she could say, in her most regal affect, “Serve your King. Humiliate me utterly. Your Queen commands it.”

Blake sighed, her eyes rolling up in her skull, making Pyrrha imagine how she must look with Jaune’s cock smashing her pussy… flooding her womb… knocking her up and gifting her with his firstborn!

Romance gave way to the unstoppable heat that had only briefly been delayed. Now, she was animated by need. An undeniable, irrepressible need.

“Clothes… off…” Pyrrha growled, “I want to… to see how sexy you can be for Jaune!”

Blake grinned, brought back from her pleasure by a command, her hands reaching for her blouse as she told Pyrrha, “I live to serve.”

It probably wasn’t the best that Jaune couldn’t get anyone in their team to take opsec seriously and turn off Scroll Tracking, doubly so for Pyrrha who actually did have to worry about paparazzi, but it was helpful in times like this. Jaune had a few papers that needed her signature—it was crazy how much contract law and liability insurance was involved with bringing a world-famous celebrity on a field mission—and rather than have to wait for her to come back to the dorm, he could just check her location and follow it to the classroom she was in.

He was kind of surprised to see it. He figured he’d just see which of Beacon’s many, many training facilities Pyrrha was using today, or maybe the Armory, though according to Ruby, she’d given Milo and Akouo a good tune up, but instead, she was in a classroom. It wasn’t time for a class. Meeting with someone? Jaune wasn’t sure who that could be, but it probably wasn’t anything too private. Pyrrha made good use of Beacon’s conference rooms for stuff like that, so whatever it was, probably wouldn't be a problem if he came in.

“Hey Pyrrrrrrrrrrr...”

Opening the door, Jaune’s jaw dropped as he saw what was in the room. Pyrrha was- Pyrrha was definitely there, she just didn’t have any clothes on and also-

Was that Blake?

Jaune was utterly stunned, standing completely flat-footed and stock still, but fortunately, the girls had… other things on their mind and hadn’t noticed his entrance. At least, they didn’t act like they were aware of him or anything other than themselves. Not as Blake ran a trail of kisses up Pyrrha’s body!

“That- that's right you hot little slut-”

“Fucking love your tits, you have amazing tits-”

“Your ass is so fucking sexy, it'll look so good when you're bent over for-”

Jaune should not be hearing this!

Propriety kicked it as Jaune bolted from the room, hoping nobody heard or saw him—though they looked pretty distracted— as adrenaline told him to just book it. He hauled himself away from the room, doing everything he could to get the image out of his head, because…

That was… that was Blake and Pyrrha. That had definitely been Blake and Pyrrha. They had been naked and they had been…

Wow.

Wow.

That was… that was something! Something he could never admit to seeing, but… wow.

Jaune blinked, half wondering if he should head back and maybe serve as a lookout? There were… a lot of people who might have some unsavory interest in… well, it wouldn’t be better if he was making himself more a part of it, would he? Pyrrha and Blake… he hoped they’d be more cautious in the future, but he wasn’t sure what he should do…

But… he trusted his partner. It was a lapse, but she was, if nothing else, extremely careful. Maybe a few nudges to help her come out, but… heh, damn , how had he never noticed it?

Of course Pyrrha was a lesbian!

He almost had to laugh at himself for how obvious it was now that it was right in front of his face. He’d been trying to play matchmaker, but he just could figure out what kind of guy Pyrrha was into. Provincial that he was, he didn’t even think that it might just be because she wasn’t into guys! And she and Blake were really good together. After spending a few weeks working with Blake, he’d really gained an appreciation of just how much work Blake put into her causes—she was by no means an armchair activist, she had been putting together an extensive org chart of all the various forces in Vale related to the Faunus Rights cause. And that was what Pyrrha would really be looking for in a girlfriend. Someone diligent and hardworking and… actually come to think of it, he had caught Pyrrha’s eyes lingering on a few girls… he’d always chalked it up to her being so competitive, but now that he knew this…

Chuckling to himself, Jaune shook his head. He really was oblivious, wasn’t he? Though… he was happy for Pyrrha. And for Blake, but really, Pyrrha really needed somebody who could support her in the way Jaune couldn’t. He'd come to appreciate what a privilege it was to be her friend, to understand just how much she needed someone like him to talk with. But Jaune simply couldn't be what Blake was for her. And thinking about that made him think of someone else…

Taking out his scroll, Jaune punched in a number, and there was only one ring before he heard a bubbly, excited, “Hey Jaune!”

“Hey, babe!” Jaune said, smiling as soon as he heard her voice. It was a shame they couldn’t talk more when they were keeping their relationship secret, but… well, there was a whole thing with dating a Haven girl when he was on a team with Pyrrha and so they’d agreed to keep their relationship on the down low.

Still… he was just crazy about Emerald.

“What’s up?” she asked.

“Nothing much,” Jaune said, “Just had a free moment and wanted to chat.”

“Oh…” Emerald said, then asked, “Are you sure there’s… no other reason you might be calling.”

Now Jaune’s lips curled into a smile. Emerald was… well, their relationship was a lot more than Jaune ever expected out of Beacon.

“Yes, there is something else,” he said, his voice firming up as he got serious, “I have instructions for you…”

He could almost hear Emerald standing up straighter, ears perked up to hear his commands.

“Your report on Tyrian Callow's movements in Mistral was exceptional work-”

He paused to give Emerald a moment to come down from her strangled moan. She… wasn't used to compliments and took them a little… intensely.

“-and it's giving me a sense of some avenues to pursue to thwart our Adversary…”

Jaune kept on rambling some kind of secret master plan to defeat “the Witch Salem.” They had this cute little roleplay thing where Emerald was this dangerous criminal and Jaune had seduced her to the side of good and now there was this whole conspiracy… it was actually really elaborate, Emerald got super into it. Crazy global conspiracy stuff and, like, politics and crime and the Grimm and even magic. Emerald was really creative and Jaune felt like she really ought to write some of this down and try to make it a novel or something. But hey, if it was just a cute game between them, Jaune was happy to play his part in that!

“...which lures Tyrian right into our trap. How's your cover holding up?”

“P-perfectly, Sir!” Emerald proudly declared, “Cinder doesn't even have a hint that you've been thwarting her plans and, just as you predicted: really, she’s nothing compared to you.”

Jaune nodded. The backstory to their game was… complicated and Jaune sometimes had a hard time keeping up with all of it, he knew that Emerald wasn’t “really” a Haven student and her whole team were actually infiltrators because Headmaster Lionheart was compromised… it was tough to keep up with it all, but Jaune knew that it made Emerald’s day to pretend that she and her boyfriend were in some espionage thriller.

“Of course not,” Jaune said, making sure to play the role of the suave mastermind, “After all, she never truly appreciated the extent of your talents. Her mistake will cost her dearly.”

Really: made her day. She was practically panting as she added, “She's ready for the moment where you swoop in and show her her place as another of your pawns! Soon… soon enough she’ll learn what a real mastermind looks like! Someone who gives the orders and expects them to be obeyed. Soon everyone will know your brilliance!”

It was crazy. As a leader, Jaune was just… adequate. Well, he could admit to a few modest talents. Apparently, according to Ms. Goodwitch, he was the only Team Leader at Beacon who actually made sure he left on field missions with enough food for the team. He thought it was hyperbole, but then Velvet had called him with a desperate plea for…

Well, he was a little organized. But the way Emerald put it, Jaune was… well, some kind of brilliant mastermind. Someone who was turning the wheels of history and, soon enough, would take his rightful place as the shadow king of Remnant. Crazy stuff. In this world, Jaune’s gambits had worked so well that Headmaster Lionheart had actually fled Haven, though his absence was being kept tightly under wraps by the other Headmasters—oh, and he was financing an unwitting group of Mantlean rabble rousers who would expose Weiss’s dad for massive corruption in two weeks. The little dossiers Emerald made were incredibly inventive and Jaune had to admit, it was a pretty fun game…

Really elaborate foreplay for phone sex, though.

Really elaborate. Went all the way to actually matching Atlesian Top Secret watermarks to make her “hacked documents” look more realistic. But hey, who was he to complain?

“With Salem weakened, we need to take Cinder off the board, then launch a quick strike on Ironwood’s base of power,” Jaune continued, really hamming it up, “But soon, my pet, soon, we will make our move against the would-be Maiden and make her see who really calls the shots.”

“A-and if you… if you wouldn't mind,” Emerald asked nervously, her breath ragged, “When you… when you close your fingers around Cinder and make her realize h-how… meager she is compared to you? What if she had to serve you… like I do?”

Jaune froze.

He… wasn't sure what to say to that. Emerald was putting herself really out there to propose a… a threesome, but he wasn't sure he should… they hadn't been dating all that long and he was starting to think that Cinder was an actual real person, her Team Leader at that! But if she was putting herself out there by proposing a menage a trois, or… if she was just trying to win girlfriend points by offering him a fantasy threesome in the hopes of titillating him…

Jaune figured it was best to not really follow that line for now. If it actually was something Emerald was into, they could see about taking the relationship in that direction, but for now, Jaune had lucked into the most incredible, imaginative, kinkiest girl he could ever meet, and he wasn’t about to blow it on some horny fantasy.

“For now,” Jaune proclaimed, “You're under strict orders to be my girlfriend and the only woman in my life. Is that understood, Emerald?”

“Yes, Sir! As you command, Sir!”

Jaune chuckled. She was just so adorable!

Notes:

Thanks to Renarde for feedback on this work!

In a few weeks time, Jaune will be telling Pyrrha and Blake that he absolutely supports their relationship only to get interrupted by a series of Breaking News notifications that sound distressingly similar to what he's been "roleplaying" with Emerald... actually, exactly like the situation he'd been roleplaying where he'd just ordered her to launch the coup against Atlas and the SDC and oh gods several million lien had just been shuffled to his account and—oh gods some kind of Grimm woman just made a video call to tell him that she respects both audacity and talent and will concede Remnant for twenty years to see how it does under his leadership???????

...but the important thing is that he supports his partner and he's proud she can finally come out and be her true self. Anyways, he now has to have... several dozen press conferences. If she or Blake happen to know anyone who might make a good secretary, he desperately, desperately needs one pronto.
