Work Text:
It had been just after sunrise when Rufus and Tseng departed Shinra Castle. Not in the royal carriage as would normally be far more fitting for the King and his Consort, but a far plainer one that would be employed for the kingdom’s more secretive affairs. It would be the safest and surest form of transportation this day, for the night before the King had discovered a simple missive placed upon his throne, and it beckoned him and his beloved to travel winding roads that stretch deep into the forest, and pay a visit to a different sort of kingdom.
Normally when leaving the castle for most anything, the king’s entourage would be quite extensive as numerous guards and servants marched alongside the royal carriage. Ready to take care of whatever may crop up on the road. But today it’s only Rufus, Tseng, and two silent drivers speeding down the forest path. Rufus has assured Tseng nothing would trouble them on their journey, he’d even bid his loyal hound Dark Star to remain in the king’s chambers before they left. Rufus had once told Tseng, jokingly he’d presumed, that Dark Star was a Hell Hound, born from the fiery ashes of the Underworld itself as to why she’s so loyal to him. But once Tseng learned of the other man’s true nature, he couldn’t help but wonder if he’d actually been telling him the truth. Dark Star was thankfully quick to turn gentle towards Tseng and that’s all he could ask for.
Though now, all he could ask for is his heart and stomach to settle. There’s a cool breeze filling the compartment from the open windows, but Tseng unfurls one of their fans anyway to occupy his hands. He should’ve brought a book, even if he wasn’t able to focus.
“My Love, there’s no need to work yourself up. This is supposed to be a joyful occasion, a celebration.”
“Indeed it is, but it’s what will come before the celebration that I wonder about." Tseng bites back at Rufus, before directing his view back to the open window. It feels like hours that they’ve been traveling, but in all reality they haven’t gone very far away from the castle grounds; it seems the winding nature of this road prolongs the journey quite severely, “Your Queen Mother’s domain is far closer than I assumed. I figured she’d want to be as far from humans as possible.”
Rufus’ mother- his true birth mother- had been the one to come seek them out via the written word the day before, and they’d had no choice but to cooperate with her sudden decree. Tseng had skimmed the letter after Rufus brought it up to their private chambers- written on ancient parchment with glowing green ink, it stated a celebration was planned for the next night, and that her dearest son and his new mate were to attend as guests of honors. No other information, no way to say yes or decline.
There was no point, after all. When a Queen of the Fair Folk bids you to her domain, she doesn’t have to worry about frivolous confirmations. Not when you don’t get to decline.
“Yes, she’s always preferred to stay close by, and visit often. Mostly to haunt father for his intentional ignorance, and spread misery to my truly ignorant step-mother and half-siblings. Ah well. She gave Hortensia plenty of warnings against conceiving a child with my father, and could've lived a far happier, longer life if she’d been wiser.” Rufus says with a wistful air, as if he were discussing the latest production of a performing troupe, and not the lives of his human family, “She’s always had a rather caring heart for a leader of the Fair Folk, I’ve heard it said. But none worth their wings would dare say such a thing in Queen Calanthathe’s presence, not after the day word broke out the king’s wife and all their children perished in a most dreadful accident with a bear. All but one, of course.”
“A true display of motherly love, and exactly why I am not the picture of calm right now.” Tseng raps Rufus’ twice on his knees with the wooden fan, before placing it back down and sighing.
This time he lets his hands rest on the sides of his stomach. A year of unknowingly being courted by Rufus had meant an array of decadent meals each and every day as the king’s primal gift to him, and in turn Tseng’s gift to the Fae had been cultivating his body into what it is now.
For full-bloodied Faes, humans are often viewed as beloved pets, pretty little trinkets for them to stuff and fill as they please as a sign of their wealth and power to others of their kind. For Rufus, his human half sees Tseng as his mate and Queen but, the urge to see him be blessed by Rufus’ wealth and be seen as a true monument of his love and admiration has lead up to needing to see his once-servant blossom as he has already under his confident hands, and continue to bloom even bigger. As such Tseng’s entire body sports a softness to it that would’ve been impossible prior to his life in Shinra Castle, and what was once a hollow, nonexistent stomach now stretches out so far Tseng can barely touch the small indent of his naval and it brushes against the soft velvet of the bench parallel to him.
It’s only grown harder and larger more recently as well, thanks to the discovery that their ravenous love-making had paid off swimmingly and now it seems Tseng will give birth in a matter of months to no less than three babes. With the added life in his ever-expanding womb has come a hunger more restless than ever, all to Rufus’ delight and Tseng’s more subdued, ever-burning pleasure with his new lifestyle. Which for his sake and the sake of the little ones now nudging at their mother’s familiar hands, he does not want to see be derailed by the whims of some Fairy Queen if she should reject him.
Rufus must sense his discontentment, for he follows Tseng’s lead and begins rubbing soothing circles across his mountainous belly, seeking out nerves and pockets of air to chase away from his beloved, “It’s simple Tseng. Just do as I and her tell you to do, and tonight will be a very pleasant experience for us all. I know you’re clever enough to avoid our eccentricities, and wise enough to know when to play into them. Trust your mind and instincts as you always have, and know I won’t let anything happen to you, or our babies. I’ll burn her kingdom down and salt the earth myself before that happens.”
It’s so ridiculous that it does bring a slight smile to Tseng’s face, and both men conjure their journey in a pleasant silence. It’s thankfully not long before their coach abruptly stops- they’ve arrived.
Rufus descends first so he may assist Tseng. Movement is not easy for him these days, but he manages to walk down the two carriage steps with no incidents. He smooths down the simple, white linen gown he’d been apparently instructed to wear by Rufus’ mother (though there were no such notices for the King). They’ve stopped next to a small clearing in the wood, which Tseng notes is only growing one thing; a ring of brightly-colored mushrooms. A fairy ring. How appropriate.
Once he is satisfied with his and Tseng’s appearances, Rufus nods to their coachmen, and they tip their hats respectfully as they turn the horses around and begin to head back down the road. They won’t return until it’s time for there’s nowhere safe for them to park themselves in this corner of the wood. When only a trail of dust is left of them, Rufus offers an arm up to Tseng to take, and they walk towards the ring together.
*****
Almost a year and a half ago, Tseng had first been dragged in front of the ‘Mad King’ of Midgar as his newest servant, just another body in the herd of captives from the latest conquest waiting to be judged and juried with a flick of the wrist.
And yet, that moment doesn't hold a candle to when he’s brought before Rufus’ mother.
The throne room of Queen Calantha is a sight to behold- with an opal floor polished into milky-rainbow perfection , and her throne carved into the base of a grand pine that looks to have been preserved during some primordial lava flow.
Yet the Queen herself commands all attention. Her skin shimmers the same cornflower-blue that on rare occasions Tseng sees Rufus flicker with. Eyes like liquid mercury shine brightly when she smiles wide with mouth full of too-sharp teeth, and she beckons Rufus and Tseng forward with a flick of her wrist. Tseng can feel Rufus' grip on his arm tighten; protectively or possessively, it’s impossible to tell.
Calantha's voice rings out clear and sweet, like water singing through a meadow of daffodils, “It’s an utter delight to see you again, my son, and for you to arrive just in time for our merrymaking!” “I take it your trip here was without folly?”
“Indeed Mother, neither stone or sword stalled us. A blessing, given the timeliness of your invitation.”
“None of that now! You know these things are best kept as a pleasant surprise, and I even gave you plenty of time to travel on foot if you’d desired.
The Queen’s eyes suddenly shift their focus to Tseng’s and he swears he can see his own face be reflected back, "Though I see you have good reason to have your travels be more relaxed. Advance, child. And speak your name- your true name- to me.”
“Tseng, honored Queen,” Tseng states respectfully, and Rufus finally releases him so he can step forward and bow respectfully. Normally it would be ill-advised to freely give a Fairie one’s name, but there’s little to fear now when it’s already so thoroughly wrapped around his King’s finger.
“Ahhh, a delightful name. Strong and steadfast, yet has such a delicious snap when pressed,” She snaps her jaws shut loudly before leaning back in her throne and sighing contently, resting her chin on a clawed hand, “You are the one my Son claims as his mate, both through the laws of Man and the Fae. I have no need for Man’s laws, but of our traditions there is much to consider. Has Rufus, King of Man and Prince of the Fae, succeeded in treating you accordingly? Gifting you acceptable fruits of his labors and devotion?”
“He has indeed, he’s far exceeded my expectations. Just as I believe I have done quite well in accepting and embracing his gifts, my Lady.” Tseng answers her, placing one of his hands on his swollen belly for emphasis. The Queen’s eyes twinkle like starlight, and her smile turns from intimidating to matronly. Before they’d left. Rufus had greatly stressed how important it was to emphasize his pregnant state to Tseng’s new mother-in-law. No icy reservations would be able to withstand her joy at having grandchildren.
“Oh yes, your radiance is plain to see in that regard. Even in plain clothes your body is a testament to my son’s care, and your strength to behold. It far exceeds most of the pets my fellow Fae parade around here. You are…… four and a half months along, with the way your blood sings and womb blossoms. I congratulate you both on so many blessings. And tonight, they shall be honored for all to see!” At once, Calantha stands and claps her hands together twice. The sound of tinkling bells surrounds Rufus, and when Tseng turns he sees the same flick of pixie servants that led them in now hovering around his husband.
“Rufus, why don’t you see that you and Tseng’s chambers are to your liking, and then check on the progress in the Great Hall? I’d like to take charge of preparing your mate for this evening, it will give us a lovely chance to chat, and ensure he’s perfect for tonight.” The Queen descends the obsidian steps leading up to her seat until she’s standing before Tseng, towering over him still despite standing on equal ground.
Rufus sighs, the last thing he wants is someone, even his mother, spiriting his human away. But she’s already taken Tseng’s arm into her own, and there’s no use trying to argue. So he concedes, “Swear no harm will befall him, by your hand or anyone else, and you may have him until the party begins.”
“I swear it on my heart, my eyes, and very crown upon my brow, my Dear Heart. Now then! We’re off to do some preening!” Calantha says, and Tseng finds himself being steered towards one of the many marble doors dotted about the chamber.
The hall they enter into is thankfully quiet and bereft of life, with the floor now tiled in river stone and the walls coated in swaths of pale green and pink velvet. Calantha takes charge in leading them onward, though thankfully at leisurely-enough pace for Tseng to take things slow with his belly greatly impeding his stride, “I’m grateful you’re taking the time to assist me, my lady. I know shepherding a human around is quite lowly for someone of your status.”
Tseng’s words make Calantha laugh and shake her head in amusement, “My my, it's no wonder Rufus would find himself so begotten by you, you have the makings for quite the charmer,” They pause a moment so she can readjust herself, before continuing onward,“You know, it was quite shocking to me when he first sent word about you, Tseng. He’d shown such little interest in anyone for so long, even when I offered to assist, that I was starting to come to terms with his reign being a lonely one. A repeat of my own, with all the good and bad that has come with it.”
“Then was there no one else beside King Shinra, my Lady?”
“Oh I was married to a Fae king at one time, long before Shinra castle was a glint in any human’s eyes, and that marriage likely lasted only as long as the castle took to be built. He was useful for some things but excessively lacking in others. I see that’s not been an issue for you two, however.” She says. She slips her left arm away from Tseng and uses it to wrap around his waist instead, with her other hand resting atop his belly. It should be uncomfortable but, there’s something so warm and relieving about the extra support that he can’t help but let his guard down. With this angle and lighting, he can even see now how her hair has more of a strawberry-tint to its luxurious length then Rufus’ nearly-white platinum blonde locks.
“Then you are not angered at your son’s choice to have me as his…” Tseng cannot help but trail off, suddenly at a loss for what to say. The Fair Folk take titles more seriously than most anything, even their own lives. He calls Rufus his husband, his liege, and on occasion his mate, but do any of those fit in this space? Or is Tseng simply what all humans tend to be in these realms; a pet, or a prisoner.
But the Queen doesn’t scold him or find offense at his slight stumble, “As his mate? It had baffled me quite a bit at first. Such a handsome King he’s become, and a very fine son despite his father’s blood. Oh and such a cute babe! It made seeing the rest of those other rats sniveling in their cribs worth it, so I could cradle him in my arms those nights I journeyed to that stuffy castle. Ah, but as I was saying, years ago I presented to him a flock of our own kind that would be suitable for one of his stature, and he barely gave each of them a passing glance. Even then I could see it in his eyes, feel it thrumming through his veins that he was already hungering for something else. Which was, apparently, you.” Calantha says as she caresses Tseng’s pregnant belly, “Do not fear, I shall see to it tonight you prove yourself worthy to my foolish little court, with all the help I am able to offer you,” They stop before a door and Calantha turns to face Tseng, her face filled with a radiant excitement as she grabs both his hands and squeezes tightly, “Rufus told me how you accepted his gifts with such good grace, and diligently crafted your own from it. Your actions have already been far more honoring of him then his father was ever to me, and now you’re even set to deliver him triple-fold from that womb of yours. A fine pet you’ve been, and if it continues then tonight I intend to see you become my new son.”
“I am truly honored, my Queen.”
“Please, I said you may call me Mother, and I wish to hear it.”
“Yes… mother.” It is not that Tseng finds displeasure in addressing her as such. It feels strange, however, to refer to anyone in such a familial manner when even at his youngest Tseng cannot remember having anyone that close to him. He’d had fine-enough guardians but none he could ever come close to calling ‘mother’. Yet, despite having just met Calantha, there’s something soothing about her presence
“Ahhh, and in such a short time, I shall finally be ‘Grandmother’, and you shall be honored with ‘Mother’ as well! What a wonderful day that shall be.” Calantha continues to squeeze his right hand while her left pats his ample stomach with approval, before doing the same to his cheek.
“But first, we must prepare you for the celebration. For it is not only my eyes that intend to watch you closely tonight.”

Calantha and her ladies in waiting waste no time in stripping Tseng and ensuring him into a tub filled with lavender milk and rose petals to scrub and shave his skin until it was silky-smooth and unnatural soft, as if the lavender sprigs had stripped away any remaining muscle from his days as a servant. His hair had been similarly washed and tidied up, with a simple wind spell employed by one of the fairies to dry it instantaneously, and then he was hauled over to a very plush sofa to have his entire body rubbed down in more floral lotions. Calantha herself took up a bottle of expansive looking oil and begin spreading it through Tseng’s raven colored hair with the aid of a comb, and it was all so relaxing he nearly fell asleep, much to the delighted giggling of his attending ladies. They- much like their mistress- seemed to take a great amount of delight touching a human like this, and when it came time to spread the lotion on his belly all six pairs of hands were employed to task so they could all have their fun, cooing praises to him and squealing happily to each other whenever one of the triplets kicked.
It should’ve been embarrassing, and to be fair it was difficult for him to look any of them in the face during the whole treatment. But Tseng couldn’t help the pride he felt for this new body of his, and now the life growing within him. Rufus of course pampers him endlessly but to have something like this was a different experience entirely. One of the first times he’s felt truly ‘royal’ in his own right, even if not for the usual reasons.
While the lotion is given ample time to soak in, Calantha and two of the maids finish up Tseng’s hair. They plait the long strands into a remarkably complex braid, and ornamented with all kinds of blissing flowers and jeweled pins to keep it neat and tidy. He’s unsure of the chosen palette for it all, until he’s presented with his outfit for the evening. It’s a remarkably gorgeous silk gown with a dark pink base, and a pattern of flowing lines in the most brilliant shade of dark turquoise. Elements of bronze and purple bring it all together and he finds it very reminiscent of a peacock yet, far more elegant and thankfully with less feathers.
The dress fits like a dream, though Calantha spends an absurd amount of time fussing with the way it stretches over his stomach, determined to show all of his curves while the skirt glides down like a waterfall. Near the shoulders are nothing more than a pair of attached bronze rings, one for each arm, as a way to tie on the matching flowing sleeves, and the final piece is a bejeweled collar that also attaches to the bodice. It almost resembles a collar far too much for Tseng’s liking but, he knows he should be grateful it’s only implied.
A few spritz’s of perfume and could of added earrings and bracelets nearly finish the look, but at the last moment Calantha gives him a look and tells two of the girls to pull the skirt back up, all the way until his stomach is exposed. There’s so much fabric blocking his face that Tseng can’t see what she’s doing but, he hears the Queen rustling around one of the many jewelry boxes and after a moment he hears her step back over to him. A cold liquid is applied to his incredibly sensitive naval and he curls his toes up tightly, and then he feels something very hard and sturdy be pushed against him. She holds it there for a good thirty seconds, before letting go and telling the girls to release the gown and fix it back up, “A nice surprise for your Liege and our guests tonight, they do love their little delights.” Calantha tells him and pats at his naval, where Tseng can now see the outline of something large and diamond-shaped attached to his skin and really popping out against the thin silk laying atop it, “Don’t worry, the glue will dissolve in a day and I used one of my nicer emeralds in case it does pop out. It’s certainly worthy of a treasure like yourself.”
“Thank you Mother.” Tseng replies, unsure of how to feel about the addition but, so long as it doesn't hinder him he’ll endure.
When they bring him over to the mirror, all the breath leaves his lungs. He knows Rufus says he’s ravishing like this but, dressed in such regal attire with his belly jutting out so far he can barely reach his sides still and perfectly round beneath the smoothest silk he’s ever felt in his life.
Oh, oh. He was truly born for this lifestyle. Just as Rufus has whispered in his ears countless times while laying in bed together. A proper symbol, proper mate, proper queen indeed. All he’s missing is a crown, but surely it would be lost in the splendor of his bountiful physique.
*****
By the time they are finished with all of their primping and preening, the celebration is in full-swing when Tseng enters the grand hall, accompanied still by the Queen and Fae Maidens. The space is just as exuberant and opulent as the rest of the castle, with live weeping willows growing from the hardpacked dirt floor to create a canopy above the massive dining table already set up for the night’s festivities. Pixie servants flicker about to refill the goblets of Fae’s whose skin and hair encompasses the entire spectrum of a rainbow, and accompanied by all manner of tails, wings, horns, even a few sporting tusks and horns.
He spies Rufus standing near a far smaller table set up near the steps leading up to the raised dais, where the most extravagant chairs stand ready and waiting for their occupants. He’s cleaned himself up as well, with his hair slicked back sinfully and now sporting his own black and bronze attire that matches well with Tseng’s dress. He finishes sliding a chair underneath the only dinner set at this table, and when he spots Tseng and his mother strives over quickly to the pair.
“You look utterly exquisite, my love,” He exclaims in that gravelled tone that tells Tseng he’d be spread over a table by now if they were alone, but simply plants a kiss to both of Tseng’s cheeks and lips for now. He similarly does the same to one of his mother’s cheeks, before she waves the pair off. Rufus extends his elbow, and Tseng eagerly accepts. But instead of heading towards the royal seats, he instead steers the two of them towards the crowd.
“For an event like this, many of them will wish to see you up close. It’ll be my duty to offer them a chance to do it politely, and if they accept you must stand there as still and quiet as possible. Anything they perceive as a rejection will be taken as a high offense. Ahh, those ones there will be perfect to start.”
As it turns out, ‘offering’ means giving the party guests to touch him for themselves. With a hand on his lower back Rufus guides Tseng to their first group made up of three Fair Folk, presumably some of the more important guests here tonight by the way they proudly display the Queen’s crest on sashes that look like golden spiderwebs. All three eagerly accept Rufus’ offer and Tseng finds himself being touched and squeezed and prodded all over. One of the women and the man seem content with stomach, while the other woman kneels down to get a feel for his legs and thighs, getting dangerously close to his most private areas before she finally stands back up, and all they congratulate Rufus and sprinkle compliments for Tseng while he stands there silently and tries to process what just happened in his stunned brain. The group depart with one last round of well-wishing but before Rufus can move him on, Tseng grabs for his sleeve and squeezes it tightly.”
“What the hell kind of tradition is this even for?”
“To fawn over you and have their fun, and make sure you’re not just full of magic that’ll dissolve away by the morning. It’s happened before, and there were some very unfortunate consequences for the human and Fae involved.”
Slowly but surely they make their way through the hall, allowing almost every Fae in attendance a chance to touch and see the guest of honor up close. All of them accept the invitation Rufus extends and eagerly get close to get their hands on every bit of soft flesh they can reach. At first it’s understandably uncomfortable for Tseng, especially those who reach for more sensitive and private areas on his body to assess his condition. But he also has to admit that there’s something rather charming and enjoyable about having so many others compliment him for his appearance and commending his devotion to the care Rufus has been providing. A large amount comment on how much larger he is then any of the other human pets that have been brought along tonight, and the high amounts of pride he feels when he spots the humans in their designated corner and sees he does, in fact, prevail over all of their physiques is rather addicting.
But the more enjoyable this duty becomes for him, the more noticeable another issue becomes. All this walking and standing is leaving Tseng exceptionally famished, and the last guests they have to visit don’t feel his baby's movements nearly as much now as they feel his stomach rumbling angrily (which they seem to enjoy even more). Tseng shoots Rufus an annoyed glance when a particularly loud growl rises out of his belly, and thankfully the King seems to catch the hint. He thanks their final guest before hurrying Tseng away and back towards the front of the room, where the table and thrones await. He takes one of Tseng’s hands and brings it up to his mouth to kiss it apologetically, “We’re nearly done with all the requisite, love. There’s only one more thing I need from you and all it will require is for you to stand still. Then, we can finally begin.”
“Fine, fine, whatever needs to be done.”
As soon as they ascend the dais, the Queen reappears with a crystal goblet in hand. She taps at it once, twice, three times with her claws, and the room goes silent. All the guests now give her their full attention.
“My friends and faithful servants, I welcome you all to my hall tonight. We gather here to celebrate the arrival of my Son and Heir Apparent Rufus, King of the Fairylands and Conqueror of the Human Realm. He has brought forth for us tonight his intended mate, for whom I shall claim as my newest Son once he has shown us how well he has exceeded expectations for his kind. And I trust he has put on an exemplary showing for all of you in this state already?” The Queen asks of her audience, and they all reply with an overwhelming roar of approval. Tseng can feel their cheers echoing through his bones and must retain his composure with so many delighted, hungry sets of eyes focusing on him, “Excellant! He shall give us a proper showing tonight, but first! Come Rufus.”
Calantha gestures to her son, and Tseng sees he’s now holding a coiled length of silk rope in one hand as he makes his way over to Tseng. He’s followed by whom Tseng can only assume is a servant of the Queen, though they are holding a large rolled parchment, and quill stands with ink on its sharpened tip. But why?
Calantha gives him another one of her motherly pacifying smiles, addressing both Tseng and the partygoers this time, “As is only fair for our guest of honor this evening, before we feast we must have a proper idea of where he stands, so by the end of everything there will be no disagreements on how well he succeeds. Whenever you’re ready dear.”
Once Rufus is before him, he presses one end of the rope to the farthest point of his stomach; his naval. He pauses upon noticing the extra embellishment attached to, shooting Tseng and wicked grin and tugging at the stone playfully, before he begins to circle his beloved human with the rope pressed tightly into his skin. Tseng can finally make out a series of dashes and numbers painted onto the front side, and it clicks that they’re measuring him, they’re actually measuring him in front of an entire court of Fae.
He’s been measured before in this, in fact it’s a near daily routine for Rufus for right before they go to bed, but he’s never done it outside of the privacy of their chambers. This isn’t a perfunctory check of his body, the more the rope has to be uncoiled the louder and more excited the crowd below him becomes, with the Fair Folk shouting out their own estimates and yelling ‘encouragements’ for him to not suck his gut, some even try to egg on Rufus to go tighter and slower. The enchanted rope is already digging into his sensitive skin, and it feels like it lasts an agonizingly long time (he’s starving now damnit!) until Rufus finally circles back around to the naval. When the two ‘ends’ connect the whole loop tightens again and forces the breath out of Tseng’s lungs while displaying the number proudly on his bejeweled arch.
“Forty-four inches!” Rufus declares, and the crowd erupts in a cacophony of cheers and buzzing rapturous whispers. The scribe diligently writes the number on his paper. Once he’s done a spark of magic hits the paper so that it may fly free of his hands and attach itself to one of the stone pillars.
“Now now, this is your reward for doing so well today Tseng. Do not let these foolish fairies distract you, I’m still expecting nothing but clean plates from you. You and our babies deserve nothing less, after all.” Rufus tells him in his strangely encouraging manner. He presses a kiss to Tseng’s forehead and walks back to sit near his mother on a far smaller throne. But the Ravenette has no time to feel anxious, for with a tinkling of the bell the feast begins, and suddenly his table is overflowing.
The Queen Mother hasn’t spared any effort or expense to the food presented to Tseng; an expecting mother must be nourished after all. Rich and creamy mushroom-and-hazelnut soup, asparagus bisque topped with goat’s cheese and toasted almonds, and a delightful blend of fresh strawberries and mint are only the start, meant to wet his appetite. From there its course after course, roasted venison and boar smothered in sauces made from forest fruits, fresh fish swimming in lakes of butter and dill, all manner of heart vegetable dishes and stews followed shortly after by the largest baked potatoes Tseng’s ever seen in life. Of course there’s all the mead and wine one could ever dream of to wash it all down with, as silent shadowy servants ensure no cup ever runs the risk of drying out.
It’s impossible to say if it’s the Fae magic or the pregnancy that makes it all taste so good and keeps forkful after forkful being brought up to his very willing mouth. He can’t even focus on the crowd before him or the pair of monarchs behind him. He polishes off a cheesy soufflé sprinkled with truffles and poached raspberries with half a cup of mint tea, and he has to pause while his stomach gurgles and grumbles happily at finally being soothed. For a second the skin stretching over his mountain-like dome tightens painfully but it relieves itself a moment later when it surges toward another quarter of a centimeter, settling in his lap with a deep ‘sigh’ and letting him continue his feasting. The silk of his dress continues to hold up, though it’s certainly become a second skin on his belly by now, and he can start to feel the same for his chest. The Queen hadn’t provided any undergarments so the swelling of his chest and growing nipples are becoming prominent features in their own right. Rufus has whispered to him in the comfort of the night what he’ll do to Tseng once his milk comes in, and he can only hope perhaps something served today will help speed that process alone. Just the thought has the chair beneath him growing damp; he wonders if the Fae will be able to smell his lust and greed in the air.
By the time Tseng reaches the dessert course, the rest of the fairies have long finished their own supper and are now content to lean back in their chairs and talk pleasantly amongst themselves whilst sipping tea and nibbling sweet confections. Tseng is still the main event, however, and he’s well aware of their attention now. By now he would’ve demanded a servant remove his unnecessary clothes so he could lean back and bask in his own arousal at the sheer tightness spread all throughout his belly, but the thought of doing so now is an absolutely embarrassing one. As such he can only try to focus on the remaining dishes before him but, trying to bury his desires only leaves him more aware of how intensely full he is already- and he still has an entire pitcher of honeyed milk placed before him that’s expected to be his finale, taunting him with its rich golden cream.
Queen Calantha takes notice of his discomfort and uncertainty beginning to win over, and so she turns to Rufus to usher him away from her side, “Go to him, as his husband you must give him what he needs now.”
Rufus doesn’t need any further encouragement to return to his mate’s side. Tseng is leaning far back in his chair and away from a bowl once teeming with custard pudding, now reduced to only a puddle, “How are you feeling love? Are the babies disturbing you too much to enjoy yourself?” He places his hand on Tseng’s stomach and nods approvingly at how taut and hardy it’s become. It’s turned such a deep, lovely shade of red in its overtaxed state that the fabric covering it is more reminiscent of a sunset than a peacock now.
“No………” Tseng grunts under his breath as he tries to find a comfortable position. His belly is pressing against the table now but if he scoots his chair back any further he’ll be too far away to reach anything, “I only need a moment to… reposition myself.”
“Good. I know you’d never think about quitting Tseng. What a shame it would be, when you aren’t nearly done yet, and still have so much more room to ripen.”
Tseng moans at his beloved’s words and closes his eyes with the wave of heat that washes over him. Having Rufus by his side is actually helping him to pull him out of the sleepy, sluggish haze this kind of feasting threatens to put his mind and over-stuffed guts into once he reaches this point. While his king begins pressing his hand harder into Tseng’s stomach in search of any airy pockets of pressure in need of release, he snaps the fingers of his other hand and Tseng’s final proper course appears; a massive and decadent vanilla cake baked with so many fresh blueberries and drenched in their juices that its white fluff has turned a lovely shade of blue. The moist richness only continues thanks to the scoops of ginger ice cream accompanying the cake and already adding its own creamy lavishness to the mix. It smells divine, and manages to reawaken some of Tseng’s previous hunger, and he readily accepts the spoon Rufus offers him.
The cake is thankfully so soft by now that he can practically swallow each bite without the need to chew, but the chill of the ice cream mixed with the sharpness of the ginger makes his lips and brow twist and furrow in some rather amusing ways to his audience. Nonetheless he persists. His babies are twisting and turning joyfully with this sweet treat filling their tiny bodies, and their movements help release more for the trapped inside of him in the form of an occasional burp.
About three quarters of the way through his belly begins to groan and rumble again, and to both his and Rufus' delight it swells at least another half centimeter toward, and now firmly rests against the side of the table. As a reward Rufus places his other hand onto Tseng’s stomach and employs a heavenly mix of squeezing and kneading his belly very intensely, “Good boy, how well you listen to my words and your body’s desires. You’re so close now my dear, and it will feel even more marvelous afterwards. You’re radiant like this Tseng, you make for such a holy image that it ought to be painted and honored in the humans’ shrines of fertility. So much beauty, yet there's still more room to grow for us to witness, and bask in.”
"Rufus..." Tseng can’t help but blush at those words as he eagerly stabs into a pile of sugary blueberries and brings them up to his mouth. Rufus' massaging helps his digestion quite a lot, with the pleasure it courses through him enough of a distraction that he can finish off his cake and ice cream. He scrapes every last crumb off the plate for good measure, and the partygoers yell out their approval.
All that is left now is to finish his drink. He knows why it is to be last, with how much more it’ll make him expand as all of the food inside him soaks up the rich milk and honey concoction.
The plates all disappear and the pitcher takes center stage on the small table. Rufus summons a crystal goblet in his hand and takes his time pouring the drink into the glass, clearly intending to prolong this show as much as possible. He’s a merciful husband, and holds the glass up to Tseng’s drink so he must only focus on letting it flow down his throat.
The first glass goes down smoothly, with hints of sweet earthy spices that bring up visions of vibrant autumn leaves and nights spent cocooned in blankets by a roaring fire. With the second glass however, Tseng really starts to feel his limit, and the last mouthful is almost too much. No, no he has to press on, he's so close... he swallows it all down despite the twisting he can feel crawling up his throat. Rufus looks concernedly at his heaving face and when Tseng hiccups, he quickly covers his mouth with his own hand.
"I’m sorry love, but I cannot have you throw up and let our hard work go to waste. Don’t let it defeat you.”
Tseng moans against his palm and after a moment it finally settles. The liquid does its thing, rounding him out even more. After a few seconds, Rufus removes his hand and presses a third and final cup-full to his lips instead. He drinks slowly, closing his eyes as he can let it settle gently, and feel each sip stretch him out to a limit he could only ever dream of. Just a little more...
He lets out a long, low moan when Rufus finally pulls the cup away and gives Tseng room to place both hands on his enormous stomach. How much has he grown? The dress has ridden up quite a bit since this all began but it’s still holding strong and valiantly covering him. But he hopes that won’t be the case for long.
With an eager grin, Rufus pulls the small table to the side and slowly lifts the dress, revealing his large, stretch-mark covered belly to the audience. Most surprising to Tseng is that instead of it being perfectly round, it looks like it has transformed into two distinctive lumps; his crowded womb at the bottom, and his stuffed stomach sitting on top, all cushioned by lovely layers of fat and shining brightly in the torch light from the lotion massaged into it earlier.
"Behold! My beloved's body has proven itself to know no bounds, to not be tethered to any pathetic limits of mankind. He will serve well in showing off our wealth and bounty as a kingdom, and deliver me worthy offspring for many years to come."
The hall erupts in applause. Tseng can hardly pay attention to what Rufus is saying, so engulfed he is in his own fullness. Gods, he just wants to leave this stupid party already and have Rufus fuck him while he's still so taunt and sensitive…
But of course that cannot yet be the end of it. As the cheers and rapturous clapping die back down, Rufus signals for two of his mother’s maids to come over and continue to hold Tseng’s dress up and out of the way of his belly and face, while the Queen herself makes her way over. There’s no point in hiding his embarrassed flush at her seeing him like this with how warm and rosy his entire body has become from this event, the bath was far more intimate yet this feels especially exposing.
Rufus gestures to Tseng with a bow, and to both his dismay and delight it’s now her turn to touch and feel her son’s human mate. The entire room falls silent and watches her every move with bated breath. Tseng can’t see any of it from his angle but he can certainly feel her silky smooth hands and long clawed nails dance teasingly against both sections of his stomach; she presses and tests the vibrancy of his womb first, taking her sweet time to feel out each of his babes and judge their size and heartbeats accordingly. Once satisfied with that, she begins to examine his belly proper. He’s taken well to their magic, with each stretch mark not just a sign of his impressive size but also of the strength it his body has become emboldened with. Like the stripes of a wildcat, they will continue to lengthen and decorate him beautifully at all times.
He knows he cannot squirm at her touch but gods above and below, is he getting desperate. She even takes care to press her ear against his flesh at one point, and the sensation of her hair falling against his sensitive skin is maddening. The milk soaking has really begun expanding the food in him now, and it feels like he’s being teased both inside and out. Is she listening for his fluttering heartbeat, the sounds of his children, the speed of his digestion? All three?
When she finally stands tall her expression is unreadable, but she holds out her hands and suddenly she’s holding the counting rope. She winds it around him just as slowly and teasingly as Rufus did. When it tightens this time a gasp and moan slips past his lips, and the crowd of fairies cheer. The Queen holds her hand up and all is silent again
“Let it be confirmed here and now, our guest of honor now sits at………. forty-nine inches!” Now that announcement nearly brings the roof of the hall crashing down around them as the court screams out their delights and congratulations at the news. Tseng has no idea what the goal was, but it seems he may have exceeded expectations. The hanging parchment is quickly transcribed with his new measurement, and made official with a golden wax seal of the Queen’s crest pressed underneath the bold black numbers.
Tseng has no idea what the intended goal was for him tonight, but it seems he may have exceeded expectations. The hanging parchment is quickly transcribed with his new measurement, and made official with a golden wax seal of the Queen’s crest pressed underneath the bold black numbers. Something warm and pleasant rushes through his stomach, and he’s not sure if it’s just pride at his own accomplishment.
“It shall be recorded this night that my son has brought forth a worthy mate before us. One who is to be treasured and honored by his hands, and our own. Henceforth from this night let this human be known with these such Titles, as my new Son, as a true Queen of the Kingdom of Man, and above all our Treasured Bounty! Rejoice in his new names!”
The gathered Fae rise from the tables that are whisked away by still unseen servants, and the party atmosphere restarts tenfold. There’s a frantic energy building in the air that feels like an electric current traveling across Tseng’s sensitive skin, making him shiver and reminding him of the company he’s been placed before.
Some of the partygoers approach him once more, congratulating him for his titles and impressive showing. A couple thrusts more goblets of cool, fresh water and sugary confections to his lips, and he gladly accepts their offerings. Calantha meanwhile heads back to Rufus and gently squeezes his shoulder,
“Your chambers for the night are prepared, and I suggest you escort him there sooner than later, before some brazen fools decide to squirrel him away to their own hoards for some fun.”
“Don’t worry, I shall.” Rufus places his own hand atop of hers and squeezes. This has been a delightful evening but he's growing restless. He wants to have Tseng to himself again.
“Good. And I shall keep it prepared after your departure, for when he and those babes are ripe and preparing to give birth. I suspect word will travel fast that have a new Treasure, such a bountiful and a human one at that. It will be unwise to leave him vulnerable to………. other parties. Hungry parties.”
For though the Fae may have altered many of their instincts and ways with humans in more recent centuries, there are others species who still treat them as little more than livestock. And Tseng would be a true prize in their eyes.
With that Queen Calantha returns her attention to her subjects, and Rufus returns his attention to Tseng. There’s no risk of being impolite if they leave now. Though much to Rufus’ amusement, Tseng is so full and heavy at this point that he needs two servants to help him stand and escort him back to his and Rufus' chamber. It’s an opulent suite, with its most important feature being a bed that’ll comfortably support his human. Once he's finally lying down on the velvety pillows, Rufus ensures the doors are locked and he begins to tend to his mate in their usual aftercare routine.
"My, my... If I didn't know better, I'd think you're overdue with the triplets. I cannot wait to see how big you'll actually be at full term." He smiles as he teases Tseng's now-popped navel while sitting at his side. Those five inches have truly made a world of difference, and it’s such a delight to see him laid out with all his new glory from tonight.
"They're bound to be big babies if you keep feeding me like this-" Tseng hiccups and his stomach groans. After the extra treats the guests gave him, he’s sure he'd pop if he ate another bite. The pressure behind his naval is far more noticeable to him now than ever, and he wonders if it’ll still be that way come morning.
“Oh, I fully intend for them to be sitting and and walking upright on their own once they’re born, they’ll need to bigger then any babe you’ve ever laid eyes on for that,” Rufus teases him, keeps rubbing at the smooth skin around his naval so Tseng keep letting loose those adorable noises, “Besides, the more space they leave behind, the more room there’ll be for me to plant even more babes inside of you afterwards.”
Tseng shudders at Rufus’ words and his insistent touches. Gods, the thought of him being pregnant with even more children after this group of babes. To be holding them in his arms while his stomach swells with more of their siblings……….
He bites his bottom lip and shifts his legs, the tell-take sign for Rufus that his pet is growing heated and needy, so he makes quick work of removing the rest of Tseng’s adornments and flinging them onto the carpet. He reaches for a body of soothing oil, so that he may both moisturize his sensitive belly and assist Tseng in his digestion. They both know this alone can bring him to completion, and Rufus wants to see him squirm and beg for his touch, for his king’s cock, whilst in his rightful state of being spread out before him like this.
“Wait,” Before he can begin however, Tseng grabs for his wrist, “I wish to know though, what that final title your mother granted me was. It seemed even more important then, calling me her Son.”
Rufus smiles, a wicked grin that's full of pride and lust, “And it is. Titles are everything here. For a non-Fae, there’s none more honored or valuable than that of a Fairie Clan’s ‘Treasure’. You are the ultimate embodiment of our power and wealth, the crown jewel of our treasury now. They’ll seek you out simply to behold you, beg to provide for you so you may grow and shine with even more splendor. If this were a shrine, you would be the statue the mother goddess herself would send down as a sign of her blessings. And thus-“ He grabs at Tseng’s stomach and squeezes, hard, until the other is moaning and arching his back as best he can with all his weight, “It shall be my duty to see you keep up our splendor.”
“Rufus…”
“You are no longer just my beloved pet, Tseng. This whole kingdom will look upon you as a symbol; of our power, our wealth, our vitality.” Rufus forgoes spreading the oil across Tseng’s stomach and instead drenches his own hands and cock in it instead. His patience has run out, and Tseng only arches his back higher as he rubs all three against the beautiful puffy lips of his clit, “Humanity is beneath you now, you are the precious treasure of these Fae and the brood mother of our future. A king could not desire anything more.”
And when he thrusts into Tseng so violently, buried himself entirely in his addicting warmth, there’s nothing more that Tseng could desire either. Each one of Rufus’ thrusts sends him slamming into the velveteen cushions stacked behind his head, and the tightness in his belly and womb has never felt so good. Tseng manages to clutch at Rufus’ shoulders and encourage him to go deeper, deeper, to strike every nerve inside his burning passage and impale him with his hardened cock. It’s heaven, sheer heaven.
It doesn’t take long for Rufus to bury himself deep and growl with his whole chest, as his seed floods into Tseng and begins plumping up even this most intimate part of him. Neither are satisfied with one round however, and for the rest of the night the sounds of the party just barely drown out the symphony that is their love making.
At least the Queen will be understanding when they fail to show up for breakfast in the morning. She even orders a hot bath be sent to their room as she sips at her favorite lemon blueberry tea. There’ll be plenty of time for pleasantries when they’re both ready to show face to Mother.
