Chapter Text
Sometimes Phainon thought the world was playing a big joke on him. Honestly, making him of all people a succubus? His older brothers were great ones, Phainon would even call them exemplary, because at least they didn’t have any issues with seeking out men for their life essence, with treating them as they were—sources of food.
Khaslana played men so easily, all of them entranced by his soft golden hair and gentle shimmering eyes, his delicate face and his constant air of elegance, his beautifully curved body and calm voice. The men who went after him were often the ones who had never been told ‘no’ or who always got what they wanted, those who saw his grace and aura of isolation and wanted to ruin him underneath them—only to be stepped on by Khaslana’s ruthless dominance, a slender hand on their throat as he rode them into mind-blowing oblivion. It always had them coming back for more, desperate for his attention and the pleasure he wrung from them, addicted to the way he looked at them as if they were scum or simply nothing at all to him.
Usually they were easy for Khaslana to dump when he got bored of their flavor and cocks, but recently there was a man who just wouldn’t let up from him. Nanook, the powerful head of the shady Destruction Company, who Khaslana decided to feed from on a whim when one of his usual meals brought him along as a plus-one to some fancy business party. Khaslana said that man caught his attention, the arrogance he wore handsomely and the danger following his every step, the way he intimidated Khaslana’s meal with a single look and had him scurrying away just to focus on Khaslana with one-minded desire.
He was Khaslana’s best meal, keeping him full for weeks when most only satiated him for a couple days, and the only one who managed to make the experienced succubus writhe underneath him, to turn a boring meal into lustful passion, his careful control ripped away and exposing his belly to this man. His brother even thought of keeping Nanook in his rotation, but then the man started imposing himself onto Khaslana without asking his permission. Scaring off any man who he tried to feed from, sending him gifts everyday and messaging him all hours, ‘coincidentally’ running into him when Khaslana was out of the house.
And his brother wasn’t a fan of it—at least that’s what he told them, though Phainon couldn’t help but notice his actions differed from his words. If Khaslana truly was opposed to Nanook’s intense pursuit, he could simply use his unique ability as a high-level succubus to erase any memory of himself from Nanook’s mind. Yet he accepted those gifts, carefully keeping them displayed on his nightstand and desk, he answered every text and picked up every call, even if it was to curse him out, and he ‘reluctantly’ let Nanook accompany him on all his outings until he came home late at night (or didn’t come home at all, Nanook having ‘forced’ him back to his estate).
Phainon and his second older brother, Neikos, were of a shared mind that Khaslana liked having a man who could give as good as he got, liked pushing and pushing and pushing that man just to have devotion given to him anyways, being spoiled and taken care of by someone who seemed to genuinely love him.
The three brothers had been on their own for quite a while now, and Phainon’s earliest memories were not of his parents, but of Khaslana and Neikos. Khaslana took care of them, working multiple jobs to earn money, cooking for them and clothing them, teaching them the ways of their species in place of their absent sires. After his meals became more and more high-quality, Khaslana didn’t have to work anymore. His meals lavished him with money and luxurious gifts in an attempt to keep him in their bed, buying him land and islands, placing his name on deeds to mansions and estates, fighting to be the one chosen by him for a night of pleasure. However, none of them actually wanted him, they just wanted his tight cunt and warm body—though to be fair, Khaslana was only after one thing as well: their life essence. They pretended to love him, their sickly sweet words like nails on chalkboard to Khaslana, and if they annoyed him enough with their facade, he would take them for all they had and erase any memory of him so they wouldn’t keep bothering him.
Nanook was different. He actually paid attention to the things Khaslana said. His gifts weren’t just him showing off his wealth, they were thought out and tailored to him. The dates Nanook took him on weren’t all five-star luxurious restaurants with plates so tiny they could be eaten in one bite, they were flavors centered around Khaslana’s tastes—even ones he mentioned off-handedly at some point. Apparently they didn’t even have sex some of the times Khaslana was swept away to Nanook’s estate! They talked and Nanook cooked, then they cuddled in bed and fell asleep—it was unlike any other relationship Khaslana ever allowed in his life and the most glaring proof that Nanook was slowly but surely slipping past his oldest brother’s iron-clad walls.
Phainon saw the weight on Khaslana’s shoulders lighten, smiles came easier to him as time went on, and he even saw Khaslana’s eyes soften imperceptiblely around Nanook now! Neikos and Phainon were just waiting for the day Khaslana finally admitted to himself that he wanted Nanook not just for his virility, but for him, the man.
Speaking of Neikos, his second older brother attracted a different kind of man. His pure white hair, pale skin, deep purple eyes, and air of distant melancholy made men want to protect him. Men who wanted someone to save, for someone to fix; and a quiet beauty like Neikos, with scars littering his body and his eyes sweeping past the crowd in indifference, hit all the marks for them. There were an endless amount of men seeking him out, offering to marry him and make him happy, to treat him well and make sure he lived a life without wants, to whisk him away from his troubles.
All to a roll of Neikos’ pretty eyes as he took them for what they were worth before moving on to the next man with a savior complex. He feasted on more men than Khaslana due to his unique high-level succubus ability: cloning, though that wasn’t always the case at first. When his succubus power finally awoke, Phainon had never seen his second brother so estactic before. It allowed him to have multiple meals at a single time to keep him full for longer, because Neikos honestly didn’t have much interest in their way of getting sustenance. He found it so boring, the way all his meals tried to treat him as though he was a virginal saint only to be quick shots once they finally sheathed themselves in his wet cunt.
And Neikos didn’t need saving or fixing like they kept trying to claim. The scars on his body were because he had a quick temper and liked getting into fights too much when he was younger and more careless with himself. His melancholy was boredom with how predictable his meals were and how disingenuous their intentions towards him were. It was extremely rare for Neikos to have enough interest to use his main body for meals, the last time was years ago for someone who seemed like they could finally put their money where their mouth was, only to not even satiate him. At least he lasted more than ten minutes, though Neikos had been so annoyed he nearly threw his meal out when it collapsed onto him after barely filling him up with three-star quality seed at best.
Neikos didn’t even head out anymore, just sending his clones for him. Khaslana eventually grew worried about his extreme isolation, and with his oldest brother’s nagging and Phainon’s begging puppy eyes, he finally went out to a private club Nanook owned to hunt for hopefully high-quality meals. He was accompanied by Khaslana, who claimed Nanook wouldn’t stop bothering him until he agreed (Neikos hid his eye-roll), Phainon (who promised not to touch any alcohol and stay with their oldest brother), and Nanook’s closest subordinates, the Lord Ravagers.
Aside from Nanook’s second-in-command, a blank-faced man with cold black eyes, Neikos didn’t have any particular interest in any of them, though they seemed friendly enough; so with a brief glance at a huffy Khaslana being ‘harassed’ by Nanook and Phainon happily chattering towards an indulgent-looking Lord Ravager, he left their VIP room to hunt. True to Nanook’s word, each patron was someone of high-standing, rich CEOs and men in power, those who could change lives with a single signature and were used to being in command, those born into wealth who didn’t know the taste of blood in their mouth and fists against their face.
Boring. So utterly boring. All of them turned out the same as Neikos’ other meals. They looked at him, his delicate features and lean body, the scars peeking from his sleeves and collar, and decided he was something to be saved. He barely kept his patience when they talked to him with cooing voices, their eyes not even bothering to hide their lust and desire to claim his ‘broken’ self, all while sprouting words of being his sanctuary. Most of them weren’t even above three-and-a-half stars, though there were a scattering of four stars. All of them annoyed him too much to put his main body through a sweaty mess, so he sent out some clones and left.
He got back to the VIP room and saw Khaslana on Nanook’s lap near the side of the room, his tight little dress pulled up as he openly and loudly rode the man while the Lord Ravagers blatantly ignored them and entertained Phainon all the way across the room. The only seat available was next to Nanook’s second-in-command, the stone-faced man named Zephyro. Khaslana’s arousal and succubus pheromones soaked into the air, and maybe it was the way Zephyro was so calm and steady, a pleasant and almost cold scent coming from him, that made Neikos place a hand on a strong thigh.
Their gazes met and Zephyro just looked at him with studying eyes. Neikos liked that. It was clear this man didn’t have some inane urge to shelter him or cage him, wasn’t looking to give him something the succubus had no desire for—it was just one man deciding whether to accept Neikos’ invitation, and when a large hand settled over his, Neikos knew his answer.
Neikos left with him that night and came back to his brothers the next day with a look of lazy contentment, like a cat that finally got the cream. Phainon demanded to know everything and pouted like crazy when Neikos flicked him on the forehead, only telling him that Zephyro was the first meal he enjoyed his time with, who didn’t make him want to switch places with a clone from boredom.
Who made him want to go back for more.
Phainon had never seen that look on his second brother’s face before, something almost gentle and pleased, and he did everything in his power to convince Neikos to keep going, to message the number Zephyro gave him before they parted ways. Neikos was reluctant at first, because then he would have to put effort into it and if it ended up the same as his usual meals, then he would be incredibly annoyed at wasting his time.
But Neikos was weak to his baby brother and Phainon knew that, so he employed every tactic in his book. Pouting, whining, blinking his baby blues and clinging sweetly onto his arm while Khaslana watched in quiet amusement as Neikos crumbled under the force of Phainon’s adorableness. Phainon cheered when Neikos finally started accepting Zephyro’s invitations for outings, when he finally extended one himself, and when he finally dwindled down his subpar meals for one that pleased him.
Now all that was left was Phainon, the youngest brother who hadn’t directly eaten a single meal his entire life, who survived entirely off the essence his brothers set aside from the amount they collected. It wasn’t as effective since it wasn’t gathered by Phainon himself, so Khaslana and Neikos had to up their meal times—which was also how they managed to unlock their unique abilities so young when it was usually older succubi who had them.
He felt guilty for a number of years since his brothers had to hunt more often to keep him fed, but Khaslana and Neikos sat him down one day after he apologized for the nth time and told him they genuinely didn’t care about eating for him. Men were just meals, and if it meant Phainon wouldn’t be forced to make himself give his body, then it was worth it to them.
And it wasn’t like Phainon hadn’t tried. Once he came of age, Khaslana and Neikos took him to a hunting ground both of them liked and told him to find someone who smelled good. No one did, but Phainon didn’t want to disappoint his brothers so he pointed out a man who smelled less worse than the others and Neikos sent a clone to seduce him while the three brothers waited in a room. The clone had come, and the man was so intoxicated by Neikos’ pheromones that he never noticed how many of them were in there.
Phainon tried, he really did, but he just had no interest in feeding from him. His cunt stayed dry and when he got onto the man’s lap, he just felt sick to his stomach. His older brothers noticed immediately and Khaslana took him away at that moment while Neikos’ clone sat in his place and they went back home. That was when his brothers decided to feed him from their own supply, because Phainon wanted to save himself for ‘the one’, if there was ever going to be someone like that.
It wasn’t until Nanook and Khaslana’s engagement party that Phainon finally did. It was a grand gesture, because Nanook wanted everyone to know he finally got his little golden bird to land on his arm and make himself at home. People allied with him, his somewhat equals and those underneath him, came in droves with gifts that piled up to the high arches of the ballroom this event took place in.
The Golden Descendants, led by Lady Aglaea “The Goldweaver” came with an offer to design Khaslana’s bridal gown, something most people could spend their entire fortunes for and never receive. The Grove, led by Professor (the title he preferred) Anaxagoras “The Heretical Scholar” came with an offer to finally share some of their coveted technologies as a gift for his student’s oldest sibling.
And then there was Castrum Corporation, a rising powerhouse in the weapons industry who recently signed a business alliance with Destruction. They came with gifts and money—and most importantly, the first person to make Phainon want. Mydeimos, heir to Castrum Corporation, the only and most beloved child of co-CEOs Eurypon and Gorgo, two years younger than Phainon and the best smelling scent Phainon ever came into contact with.
For Phainon, it was a meeting with someone who made his mouth water and his eyes linger, who made him feel greed deep in his gut.
For Mydeimos, it was a meeting with the first person to stun him with their beauty at just a glance, and the only person to make him fall head-over-heels with a single smile.
Neikos noticed first, because he always kept an eye out for Phainon, and changed table plans without a moment’s pause, placing the three Castrum representatives at their table and seating Mydeimos next to Phainon. Zephyro, sighing at the meaningful look of his lover, and Neikos engaged the couple in conversation to force Phainon and Mydeimos to talk.
And oh did they talk. It was like they were on the same wave length, not a single awkward silence between them. Phainon chattered and chattered, his white hair fluttering like butterfly wings with every movement and his sun-marked pupils trained on Mydeimos. Mydeimos, in turn, listened with quiet intensity, filling in the gaps where Phainon paused and asking him questions about everything. They were in their own world for what felt like hours before Nanook and Khaslana started their speech about their engagement. Even then, Phainon and Mydeimos kept whispering, their heads tilted to one another and chairs so close they pressed into each other’s side.
Phainon caught Khaslana’s knowing glance and after their speech was done, his oldest brother went around the room with his fiancé to every table until they got back to their own, where Khaslana made a formal introduction of his siblings to their business partners, and suggested his littlest brother stay in contact with the young lion of Castrum Corporation. Mydeimos accepted, and they exchanged numbers.
They kept up communication regularly after that and Phainon only fell deeper and deeper for Mydeimos. He just hit every spot for him. His blonde hair tipped red, intense golden eyes only ever trained on Phainon, his sharp features and trained body—and it was more than the physical. Despite his intimidating looks, Mydeimos was quite gentle. He was calm, patient, indulgent of Phainon’s whims—though he gave as good as he got when Phainon became a little brattier the more confortable he was with him. Not only was he thoughtful and caring, he also cooked incredibly delicious meals for someone born into wealth, and his sense of integrity and honesty were rare in their world.
Phainon didn’t want to just feed from him, he wanted him, in his entirety.
Luckily Mydeimos felt the same, as evidenced when he made a whole gesture of asking Phainon on a date, complete with a path made of rose petals, a massive bouquet of Phainon’s favorite flowers, and a meal cooked by Mydeimos of Phainon’s favorite foods. After he received Khaslana and Neikos’ blessings of course, because Mydeimos was also very proper in his courtship. He didn’t do anything half-way, and that definitely endeared him to Phainon's protective brothers and their very dangerous significant others.
Even their first time was incredible. Phainon knew his body, had seen and heard his brothers’ meal times, but that didn’t measure up to actually having his first time with the person he loved. And Mydeimos was so adorably nervous, his lips bitten red and his eyes intense as he carefully prepared Phainon. The fullness from the one a succubus claimed couldn’t be compared to the barely filling meals from others. For the first time in his life, Phainon finally felt the gnawing in his stomach quiet down and the vitality of Mydeimos’ seed seeping into his body, maturing him into a fully grown succubus. It would still be a while before Phainon’s unique ability would awaken, since he only had one source of sustenance, but Phainon was willing to wait if he could have Mydeimos.
Maybe the world didn’t make a mistake with him after all.
