Throw Me In The Saddle

Summary:

Felix is what they call a buckle bunny. He likes rodeo cowboys that win big, and he usually only likes them for a night. When he meets Chris, a first-place bull rider, Felix thinks it'll be the usual romp in sheets. He's in for a big surprise when he can't stop thinking about Chris and meets him again at the next rodeo. Chris is a winner, and he's picked Felix as his prize.

An ABO AU about finding love at the rodeo. ChanLix with a little Hyunbin on the side.

Notes:

I don't even know how to explain this one. This is just a result of me listening to country music for a week straight and reading way too many Chan fics on my work breaks. This story would not leave my brain so I'm throwing it out here. I've never written any SKZ and I don't know if I'll write anymore in the future. Also, I'm not a rodeo expert so sorry for any mistakes. Anyway, please enjoy!

Work Text:

Felix clinks his shot glass against Hyunjin's, then shoots it back in one go. The older cowboy who bought the omegas their first drinks was already gone, leaving the bar for all the young bloods filing in. Felix's body still thrums with the excitement of the rodeo, even though it ended almost an hour ago.

"You think they're gonna show up?" Felix asks.

"Who?" Hyunjin teases, licking the leftover alcohol from his lips while he surveys the rest of the bar. It's the popular spot for the night. Felix's already seen plenty of the alphas and omegas that participated in the rodeo milling around in the crowd.

"You know who," Felix says, ignoring the looks coming his way from alphas he's already decided he's not interested in.

"Ah, the champions? I sure hope so. If not, I've wasted this outfit."

And what an outfit it is. Hyunjin has his black denim jeans sitting low on his hips and a matching vest of the same material. With nothing underneath the vest, Hyunjin's smooth skin is on full display, along with the little bit of cleavage he has. His turquoise and leather belt matches the decor on his cowboy hat, a deep contrast to the platinum blonde hair peeking out and the scuffed white of his boots. He's only got the barest amount of makeup on, not that he needs it, and it hasn't melted off in the Texas summer heat. A thick leather collar rests around his neck, just tight enough. Felix doesn't know how Hyunjin stands to wear so much black, but he'll never deny that the other omega looks good.

"These are from that gentleman on the other side of the bar," A server says, setting two drinks down on the tall, round table that the two have taken over for the night. They're sweet-looking drinks, decorated with fruit and a bright umbrella.

Hyunjin and Felix both look up to where the server directs. The alpha is handsome, with his head raised high as he smirks at the two of them. Felix recognizes him, and Hyunjin laughs.

"Third place? Yeah, right. We'll keep the drinks, though."

The server takes the shot glasses, and Felix turns back to his friend, but he can still feel eyes on him. Felix has his tightest, bluest pair of blue jean bell bottoms on, the ones that stop just below his pierced belly button and make his long legs look even longer. His cropped tank top is a deep red, looking wonderful against his freckled, tan skin. There's a black collar around his neck and silver jewelry on his wrists, and a few fingers. His shoulder-length blonde hair has a few small braids in the front to keep it out of his face. Felix decided to leave his hat in the hotel room. If he plays his cards right, he'll have someone's hat on his head by the end of the night.

Felix takes his drink, sipping the sugary alcohol quickly. He lets his eyes roam around the bar again, trying to find the face he saw at the rodeo.

"Christopher Bang," Hyunjin says, smirking at his friend. "What a name, huh?"

"Paws off," Felix replies, but there's no real bite to his voice.

"Don't worry, kitty. I don't want your bull rider, I want his friend. What was his name- oh, Changbin."

The rodeo had been exhilarating, an action-packed few hours of fun. Though Felix loves to be under a champion rider or roper, he does take great joy in the show itself. This show was especially exciting because the winner of each category qualified for the state championship, the biggest show with an even bigger grand prize. Everyone came with their best and showed out. Now, it was time to let loose.

"They might not even come," Felix says, more sadly than he should be. He'd seen Christoper before the show had started, in his chaps and his bull riding gear. Felix had seen a lot of handsome cowboys since the summer started, but this one was the handsomest. "And there's no way I'm sleeping with second place."

"God," Hyunjin laughs before throwing back the obnoxiously pink drink. "Could you be any more of a stereotype?"

"As if you're any better!"

Felix had been called a buckle bunny more times than he could count. He didn't care, and it didn't stop him from leaning over the stadium bars and making eyes at any handsome cowboy he saw. That's why he got along with Hyunjin so well; they were on the same page, down to the collars they wore.

There weren't many omegas wearing collars in the bar. They left their necks exposed to show off their mating marks or lack thereof. Lots of pretty, exposed necks ripe for the taking. But Felix and Hyunjin weren't looking for mates. The positioning and the thick leather of the collar prevented any unwanted bites, no matter how much an alpha tried. Back in the day, it would have been a sign of chastity. Now, it all but shouted out that they were looking for knots, not bites.

Hyunjin tilts his head toward the entrance of the bar. Felix doesn't look, but his friend looks pleasantly surprised.

"Guess they decided to show up. Don't look now, they're going to the bar."

It takes a lot for Felix not to turn his head and look. He can hear people congratulating Christopher and Changbin, happy to see two of the winners in the place. Felix keeps sipping his drink while Hyunjin keeps an eye out.

"They're in high spirits, but your Christopher is looking around the crowd. Everyone wants to buy them a drink."

Hyunjin had picked their spot so he could see the rest of the bar with ease. This place, the Orchid, was a decent size with a large bar, a dance floor, and plenty of tall tables for people to lean on. Hyunjin liked to look his prey right in the eye, beckoning them over like a siren. Felix preferred the coy route. Make them think he's the prey until it's too late.

" Oh, Changbin's looking over here. God, those arms, Lix. You sure you don't want a piece of that?"

Felix rolls his eyes, but Hyunjin just smirks and keeps commenting.

"Your bull rider is watching you. He's checking out your ass right now."

Felix can almost feel the stare on his backside. He leans forward, resting his elbows on the table. Hyunjin hums in approval, sending a wave behind Felix.

"Tell me when to look."

"Not yet, his eyes are on your waist."

Felix bites his lip in anticipation, knowing that Christopher likes what he sees. He'd be a fool not to.

"Okay, now. Just over your shoulder."

Felix softens his expression and looks over his left shoulder. Eye contact with the handsome champion is instantaneous. Christopher is the kind of cowboy they put on the front page to promote the rodeo. He's got a strong jawline, a nice, strong nose, and pretty features. He's got a serious face, but it's hardly scary. Felix let his eyes go wide, like he hadn't expected to see Christopher at all. From the spot he leans on the bar, Christopher would be able to see the change in expression and the way Felix giggles to himself before turning away. He won't look at Christopher again, no matter how much he wants to.

"Oh, he's staring hard now." Hyunjin chuckles while Felix finishes his drink. He's barely buzzed, just floaty enough to have a good time. "Thinks he caught himself a little kitten, huh?"

"More like a bobcat," Felix jokes, but watches as Hyunjin stands up straight and looks over him. His friend's smirk confirms it before Hyunjin speaks.

"They're coming over."

Felix feels their presence behind him, so he stands up straighter but doesn't turn around. One of them speaks with a rich and cheerful voice.

"You two are looking awfully lonely. Mind if we keep you company?"

Hyunjin tilts his head, showing off his collar and his pretty collar bones under the low lights. He's looking both cowboys up and down, like he plans on sending them away at any moment.

"This table's reserved for the first-place bull rider and steer wrestler."

The other cowboy chuckles, and Felix listens closely when he speaks.

"Then it looks like we found our spot."

His voice is rough and just as pleasant as his friend's, but the difference in accent makes Felix's ears prick up. Not often that he hears an Australian accent, unless Felix makes a call back home. Felix turns quickly, and suddenly he's face-to-face with Christopher Bang, bull riding extraordinaire.

This close, Felix can see the deep brown of his soft, playful eyes. Christopher has changed into a brown, paisley shirt that matches the cream colored cowboy hat on his head. His hair is black, his skin is tan, and he's every bit of man that Felix wants right now.

"Well, would you look at that, Lix!" Hyunjin laughs, bumping his hip against Felix. "We found ourselves another Aussie."

"Yeah," Felix says, running a hand through his hair and looking back at his friend. "What are the chances of that?"

Christopher and his friend seem surprised at Felix's voice and accent, but Changbin recovers first. He's a good-looking guy himself, strong and stout. He pats Christopher on the back, and the bull rider breaks out of his stupor and gives Felix a big smile. His eyes never leave Felix, and Felix suppresses a shiver.

"Well, I'm Changbin, and this champ over here is Chris."

"I'm Hyunjin, and this is Felix. Now, are you gonna buy us some drinks, or not?"

Chris doesn't break eye contact with Felix as he speaks.

"First rounds on me."

With two first-place winners with them, it's easy to find a round booth to sit in and get to know each other. Chris is the quiet type, but Changbin fills the booth with so much conversation that it's hard to notice.

Hyunjin wastes no time in getting close and personal with Changbin. They're both sipping beers and talking like they've known each other for years. It makes it easier for Felix, sitting between Hyunjin and Chris, to sit back and slowly sip his expensive cocktail. Chris drank his first beer fast and is slowly savoring his second.

Changbin, Hyunjin, and Felix talk about the rodeo. Hyunjin doesn't have much technical knowledge of the whole thing, but Felix always fills in the blanks for him, and Changbin doesn't seem to mind.

"We've been doing rodeos together for the last three summers," Changbin says. "We started just team roping, then we both did steer wrestling till Chris decided to be a bull rider."

"What do you do in the winters?" Hyunjin asks. He's already got an arm around Changbin's, manicured fingernails gently stroking his bicep. Felix thinks his friend should teach a class on seduction.

"My family's got a ranch in Wyoming. Chris and I help out."

Felix looks over at Chris, just to find the alpha already looking at his neck. Chris flicks his eyes up to Felix's, and the omega feels like teasing him.

"What is it? Never seen a collar before?"

"Never on someone so pretty," Chris says, a grin on his face, before he takes another swig of his beer.

Felix rolls his eyes playfully. What a cheap line. He ignores the way his face heats up under Chris's eyes and goes back to his drink.

"You two go to a lot of rodeos, sugars?" Changbin asks the question to both omegas, but his eyes are on Hyunjin.

"Oh, lots," Hyunjin says, implying a lot more with the way he speaks. "Felix just graduated from college, so we decided to celebrate by going to as many rodeos as we can this summer."

"That's a lot of rodeos."

"A lot of cowboys, too."

Changbin laughs at that. It's clear that he doesn't mind that Hyunjin sleeps around. He's probably too high on his win to even care. Felix must admit, Changbin is one of the best steer wrestlers he's seen this summer. And he's seen a whole lot of them.

"I'm just excited that we get a break before State," Changbin continues, finishing his beer and waving down a server for another. "Chris is so strict, we haven't gone out at all this summer."

Felix thinks that explains how eager the alphas are for them. He can feel it rolling off them in waves; nervous energy that's finally been unleashed.

"Well, then, we'd better enjoy the night!" Hyunjin says, throwing a wink Felix's way. Felix remembers the conversation they had earlier in the day, when they were getting ready.

If we get lucky, I call dibs on the hotel room.

Hyunjin always called dibs on the hotel room, leaving Felix to go wherever his own cowboy could find. He hoped that Chris at least had his own truck.

A line dancing song comes on, and Hyunjin urges Changbin out of the booth, then drags him toward the dance floor. Changbin goes with an eager grin, leaving Felix and Chris to their space.

"You know rodeo," Chris says, finishing his second beer. He doesn't flag down the server for another, just circles his finger around the rim.

"Well, I'd hope so," Felix chuckles, "I've seen plenty of them over the years."

Chris' mouth ticks up into a small smile, tilting his head a little.

"So has your friend, but he doesn't seem very interested in the behind-the-scenes like you are. You used to compete?"

Felix blinks. Chris is perceptive, or maybe Felix is more obvious than he thinks. Either way, Felix doesn't see the point in beating around the bush.

"Yeah. My dad raises horses, that's why we moved here. I used to do barrel racing," Felix plays with his straw, while a smile dances across his face. "I was real good too."

"I bet you were."

Chris extends his arm until it wraps around Felix's waist, hand toying with a belt loop on the omega's jeans. He's warm, and this close, Felix can smell the woody musk that makes up Chris's scent. It's like that first breath of fresh, forest air when you wake up in the morning.

"What happened?"

"Freak accident. I was going around the barrels, and one ended up under my horse's legs. I got flung off and broke my leg. My knee was shattered and my ankle… anyway, it wasn't pretty."

"I'm really sorry about that."

Felix is sure that Chris knows a thing or two about bad injuries, but he doesn't want to linger.

"I healed up just fine, and my horse was okay," Felix usually ended the story there, but his words just kept flowing. He blames that extra-sweet cocktail from earlier for loosening his tongue. "I just couldn't get on the saddle again. It's been years, and I haven't ridden a horse since. I'm not incapable…I'm just scared."

Chris's hand squeezes his hip, a gentle comfort. Felix decides that he's already in deep and rests his head on Chris's shoulder. He's solid, warm, and he smells so nice.

"What a way to bring down the mood."

Chris chuckles and shakes his head, careful not to move Felix too much.

"I don't mind. I don't usually do this, and to be honest, I don't know what to talk about."

"We don't have to talk," Felix says, lifting his head to look at Chris. Oh, those eyes are trained on his every movement, and Felix loves it. "We can drink, or dance, or you can take me back to your truck."

"Yeah?" Chris swallows hard, and the hand on Felix's waist squeezes. "You'd leave your friend and go with me right now?"

"My friend has his own plans. I promise, they won't miss us."

Chris contemplates, then gives Felix an easy smile.

"Why don't we dance first?"

"Sure," Felix says, and Chris is already sliding out of the booth. "Show me what you got, cowboy."

*

Chris is a good dancer, better than most of the alphas on the floor tonight. He keeps Felix close as they step to the beat of the blasting country music, leading him with warm, callused hands and a haughty demeanor. Felix likes the fast-paced music they're playing and lets Chan spin him around as he sees fit.

"You know," Chris says, just loud enough for Felix to hear. "I saw you before the rodeo started."

"Really?" Felix teases, keeping a hand on Chris's arms as they didn't miss a beat. "So, you got that real good score to impress me?"

"Maybe."

Felix laughs. If he were a naive omega, he might think this is how love starts. But he's heard enough sweet nothings to know that rodeo cowboys don't love anything more than the rodeo. So, he'll take what he can get and move on.

"You're going to the state championship, aren't you?"

"Why are you asking?"

"Just wanna see if my good luck charm will be in the stands, that's all."

"Good luck charm?" Felix laughs, but stumbles his steps when the music abruptly changes to a slow song. Chris doesn't miss a beat, though, holding Felix close and swaying to the music. "I've never been called that before."

"First time for everything, I suppose."

"You might have me all wrong, Chris." Felix has to look away before Chris, before he gets lost in those eyes. "I don't just cheer for anyone I think is cute."

"Winners only, huh?"

"That's right. Winners only. Tonight it's you. Tomorrow, who knows?"

Felix worries, momentarily, that he's being too harsh. But Chris doesn't reply, or react, and they keep dancing.

They manage to pass Hyunjin and Changbin on the dancefloor. The two of them are having the times of their lives, so close that it's almost obscene. Felix notices that Hyunjin's wearing Changbin's navy blue stetson, and the alpha has taken his black cowboy hat. As they move through the dancefloor, Changbin hands Chris a set of car keys, and Hyunjin gives Felix a wink. Felix knows that it's the last he'll see of Hyunjin until morning.

The music picks back up, but Felix is done dancing. He tells Chris that he's going to get some water, and the alpha says he'll be right behind. Felix mentally kicks himself as he walks to the bar.

Too honest, he chides himself, leaning against the bar to get the bartender's attention. You can't be too honest, Felix.

"Hey, honey," Another alpha calls out, cozying up beside Felix. Felix ignores him, asking the bartender for some water. "Let me buy you a drink."

"No thanks. I'm done for the night."

"How about a dance, then?"

Felix is about to get rude when he feels a hat being placed on his head. Chris' musky scent follows, and Felix smiles. Chris's hand on his back feels right, makes Felix stand up straight, and look back at him. Chris's black waves have been flattened by his hat, but they still look cute.

"He said no," Chris says, not even looking at the man. He's staring straight at Felix, with a smile on his face. "Let's get going, sweetheart."

Felix nods, fixing the hat on his head and knocking back the water quickly. When he's done, Felix all but falls into the alpha's arms.

"Lead the way, Chris."

"Don't mind the mess. It's Changbin's."

"You're a real rodeo man, huh?"

Felix supposes a camper is better than a cheap hotel room or the back of Chris's beat-up truck. It's a nice camper overall, set up in a campground not far from the rodeo grounds. The outside is clean and proper, with a couple of chairs and a small fire pit. The inside is clean, just disorganized with clothes, boots, ropes, and other things throughout the common room.

"Can't help myself, I guess."

Felix steps into the camper with Chris behind him. Once they took off their boots, the alpha guides him toward the small kitchenette counter. Felix grins when he sees the championship belt buckles, shiny and pristine, glinting with Chris' achievements. Awards for roping, riding, and team events. Felix picks up the one that Chris won that day, swiping his finger across the raised design of a cowboy on a bull.

Chris comes up behind him, wraps his arms around Felix, and presses a kiss to his shoulder. Now that he has Felix where he wants him, Chris isn't as hesitant as he was in the bar.

"Lot of buckles, Chris."

"'Cause I always win, Felix."

Felix chuckles and sets the buckle down, turning around in Chris's arms. He wraps his arms around the alpha's neck and tilts his head up just a little. Felix likes the way Chris stares at his lips.

"Well then, winner, come take your prize."

Chris kisses Felix so fiercely that the hat on his head almost falls off. Hands move from Felix's waist to the back of his thighs, and Chris lifts him onto the counter. His lips are perfect against Felix's, warm and plush. His tongue glides against Felix's, looking for entrance. Their tongues slide against each other until they're makeout is wet and messy.

Chris's hands are everywhere, running against Felix's toned stomach and his sides. Felix squeezes Chris's shoulders just to urge him on. When they pull away, Chris is quick to pull Felix back into his arms and carry him further into the camper. Felix giggles against his lips, legs wrapped around Chris's toned waist.

"Fuck," Chris groans. "Been wanting to touch you all night,"

"You'd better do more than touch," Felix teases

Chris walks into his bedroom. It's small, not much more than a bed, a closet, and a nightstand. Chris drops him on the bed after taking his hat back and putting it on the nightstand. Felix lies back and makes a show of unbuttoning his jeans, shimmying out of them while Chris watches. The sight of Felix's black lace panties makes Chris groan, and he makes quick work of his own clothes.

Without clothes, Chris's body is even more impressive. His body is toned, but soft in the right places. His cock is thick and just the right length, already hard between toned legs. Felix takes off his tank top and tosses it on the ground, and then Chris is all over him again. Chris slides one under Felix's head, keeping him in place while he ravages the omega more. Felix was more than happy to let him explore his mouth, gently scratching the smooth skin of Chris's back.

"Tastes good," Chris whispers, "Tastes like mine."

Felix giggles, feeling high on kisses and Chris's scent.

"Just for tonight, I'm all yours."

"Then I'm gonna take everything I can get."

Chris kisses down Felix's jaw, lavishing his skin with licks and soft nips. He presses a kiss to Felix's collar, then moves down to his collar bones and his chest. Chris's lips are hot now, sending flickering flames down Felix's spine. When the alpha got to the jewel on Felix's belly button, Chris toyed with it with his fingers, careful not to tug on it too hard.

"I like this," He mutters, kissing the skin around his belly button. "Looks pretty with these panties."

"You can keep them," Felix jokes, lying back on the soft pillows and nudging Chris with his legs. "The panties, I mean."

"I intend to."

Chris sits up on his knees between Felix's legs. Felix lifts his hips when he's told to, and soft lace gets slipped off. Chris balls them up and slips them under his pillow, much to Felix's amusement. Chris doesn't let him laugh long, pushing up his thighs and getting level with Felix's pussy. He's wet, slick dampening the coarse hair and engorged clit. Warm breath against his cunt makes Felix squirm, but the hot tongue against his clit has him squealing.

Chris eats him out like it's his job, keeping those strong hands on Felix's thighs. Felix's moans and whimpers fill the room, joined by Chris's groans of pure pleasure. His tongue swirls around Felix's clit, sucking at different intervals. Soon, he's fucking Felix with his tongue, and the omega has a hand in Chris's hair. He tugs at the thick locks and encourages Chris to give him more.

"Yes, yes, don't stop! Fuck, Alpha, make me cum on your tongue."

The growl against his cunt and the added vigor make Felix tremble. Chris pulls away to catch his breath, kissing and biting Felix's thighs. When Felix looks down, Chris is looking right back up at him. Chris maintains eye contact when he dives back into Felix's pussy, using his tongue to bring Felix back on the edge. Felix tries to keep looking at him, but his head falls back as he cums, quivering all over Chris' tongue with a cry.

Felix rocks his hips against Chris's tongue, riding out a mind-blowing orgasm. He refuses to admit it, but it's one of the best he's had all summer. His legs are still trembling when Chris lets him go and gets off the bed again. Felix hears a drawer opening and the sound of a condom package opening. He's glad that he doesn't have to remind Chris to wrap it up.

"Sit up for me, baby."

Chris helps him get up, then makes him straddle his body. The alpha gets comfortable on his back, looking up at Felix with a devastating smirk. Felix sits on Chris's hips, rubbing his wet, still quivering pussy against Chris's cock.

"Damn," Chris says, "You're fucking beautiful."

"I know," Felix replies, "You're not so bad yourself."

Chris chuckles, then leans over to his nightstand. He grabs his hat and places it back on Felix's head. Felix looks down at him with an arched eyebrow.

"Let me see how you ride, cowgirl."

Felix laughs, but arousal pangs through his stomach. He lifts his hips until the tip of Chris's cock is against his hole. Chris helps with one hand on Felix's hip to keep him stable and the other hand on his cock to keep it in place. Felix sinks and elicits a sigh from both of them. Chris fills Felix up just right, hot and pulsing through the condom. When he bottoms out, Chris grips Felix's thighs and watches him, taking his fill of the omega.

Felix smiles down on Chris and plants one hand on the alpha's stomach. With the other hand, he reaches toward the sky, a cheap imitation of a bull rider. He rolls his hips like an expert, lifting and dropping back down just as quickly.

"Let's see how long you last,"

"For you?" Chris groans, trying to keep his voice calm despite his aching. "I can go all night."

Felix hopes Chris isn't bluffing as he lifts his hips again and really starts riding. He holds his hand up for a few more thrusts before putting it down with his other. Chris's cock feels like heaven, thick enough to stretch him and hit all the right places. His strong, callused hands grip under Felix's thighs and help him move up and down.

Chris is just as affected by Felix. He's looking up at him like the omega hung the moon, and he's not shy with his sounds of pleasure. His hips cant up every once in a while, urging Felix to grind down or move faster. Felix's skin is burning up in the best way, and he can't help himself.

"You like this pussy, alpha?"

"Fuck," Chris groans, thrusting upward. "You know I do, baby. So hot and tight."

"I like this cock," Felix keeps going, leaning down so they're face to face. "So fucking big, fucking me so good."

"God, you're gonna fucking kill me," Chris growls, taking his hat off Felix's head and throwing it somewhere. Felix laughs until he's being rolled around and turned to the side.

Somehow, Felix ends up on his back with his head hanging off the bed with a whole lot of cowboy on top and inside of him. He only has a few seconds to scramble his hands up and grab Chris's shoulders before the alpha starts fucking him hard. He's got Felix's legs by the back of his knees, almost pinning them to the bed.

This angle has Felix keening, head back, and world turned upside down. It gives Chris easy access to his jaw, nipping, kissing, and sucking at his skin. Felix knows that it'll leave marks, but he doesn't care. Chris can leave as many hickies as he wants if he keeps fucking Felix like he owns him. Felix said it himself, hadn't he?

Just for tonight, I'm all yours

"I'm gonna fucking cum," Felix cries, tears falling from the overload of pleasure. "Fuck, Alpha!"

"Say my name when you cum, scream it for me."

Felix obeys, Chris' name coming out in a high-pitched tumble when Felix cums all over his cock. His muscles clench down, and everything gets wetter, making Chris moan and double his efforts. Felix sobs as Chris fucks him through his second orgasm, sinking his fingernails into the alpha's skin but never daring to ask him to stop. He never wants Chris to stop.

The base of Chris's cock is steadily getting bigger, a fat knot Felix knew would leave him fully satisfied. Chris fucks in as deep as he can with each thrust, almost groaning each time he pulls out of Felix's hot cunt. On the last thrust, Chris pushes in deep until his knot expands all the way. Felix lets out an almost pitiful whine while Chris fills the condom, pressing kisses to the side of Felix's face.

"It'll go down quick," Chris assures, letting go of Felix's legs and cradling his head with one big hand. Felix sighs and whines, letting Chris rearrange him. Chris lies back on the pillows, cushioning Felix on his strong, reliable chest. "You alright?"

"Takes more than that to take me out," Felix replies confidently, as if there aren't still tears in his eyes and a tremble in his legs. When he looks up, Chris is smiling down at him.

"Is that a challenge?"

"Chris! Chris, oh my god!"

Another round and Chris has them both on their side, back to chest with one of Felix's legs in the air. Felix has one hand reaching back to hold Chris's hair, trying to find some semblance of control. His other hand presses against his clit, flicking it while Chris fucks him from behind. Chris is cushioning Felix's head with the arm not holding his leg up, making sure the omega is comfortable while he gets his brains fucked out.

"Shit," Chris laughs, out of breath and on the edge. "Whole campground is gonna hear you crying for me."

"What are you doing to me," Felix whines, voice raspy and punched out with every deep thrust.

"Giving you what you need," Chris replies, letting go of Felix's leg so he can grab his neck in a gentle but firm grip. He turns Felix's head just enough to get to his bitten, swollen lips. "Taking what's mine."

Felix's eyes roll back into his head, and he succumbs to all the pleasure Chris can give him.

The camper shower was abysmally small, but the water pressure was good, so Felix only complained a little. He showered first while Chris cleaned up, then nuzzled up in one of the alpha's shirts. By the time Chris is back in bed, Felix is perfectly comfortable.

"You're buying me breakfast in the morning, cowboy."

Chris chuckles, slotting himself behind Felix and resting a hand on the omega's stomach. It's too intimate, but Felix isn't going to ask him to stop.

"Of course, beautiful."

The alpha presses a kiss to Felix's collar, and Felix swears he can feel it through the thick leather.

"What are you doing till the state rodeo?"

"Going home. Need to show my face to my mom before she calls the rangers to find me. You?"

"Training. Putting in practice for this. It's one of the biggest rodeos I've ever been to."

Questions are hanging in the air that neither of them wants to ask. Felix feels himself already lamenting Chris's absence from his life. He's too warm, too comforting, feels too much like home after one night together.

"Guess I'll see you in a couple of weeks, Chris."

"Guess so," Chris whispers, holding onto Felix a little closer. Felix places a hand on top of Chris's, stroking across his knuckles. "But you know, we're gonna end up like this again."

"What makes you say that?" Felix asks, but he's already smiling.

"'Cause I'm gonna win, and I expect my prize to be waiting for me."

Felix goes to sleep wrapped up in Chris's arms, dreaming about the rodeo.

"You heard that right, folks, we have a brand new State Champion Bull Rider! Christopher Bang scored a phenomenal ninety-three! I don't think I've ever seen that with my own eyes, have you, Bruce?"

"Once or twice, but nothing like this! I'll tell you what, Jim, that Chris is gonna go far. I mean, what a performance! I see him winning all around cowboy in the near future, and you can write that down!"

Felix can barely hear anything over his own screaming and all the cheering around him. He's next to Hyunjin in the front row, on his feet with his hands stinging from how hard he's clapping.

Chris is in the arena, celebrating his big win with an even bigger smile. The competition was tough, more than Felix had ever seen, but the alpha had still come out on top.

When things finally die down and Felix takes his seat again, he nudges Hyunjin with his elbow.

"I call dibs on the hotel room."

"Whatever," Hyunjin laughs. "I guess your cowboy earned it. I've got to find Changbin anyway. I'm sure he's licking his wounds somewhere."

"You, going after third place?" Felix jokes, but he already saw it coming. Since the last time they were with the two alphas, Changbin was the only thing Hyunjin could talk about.

Not that Felix was any better. He'd had Chris on the brain since they parted after breakfast, not even exchanging phone numbers. He hadn't gotten a chance to find him before the rodeo, but there was nothing to stop him now.

"Well, things change, you know?"

"Come on," Felix says as the arena starts to clear out. "Let's go get our cowboys."

"How- oh, god, how do you have this much energy left?"

"What can I say? You bring it out of me."

Chris has Felix against the wall of the hotel room, holding him up by his waist as he fucks him. They barely made it inside before Felix was stripping down, and the alpha followed quickly.

There's no worry in Felix's mind that Chris might drop him. He's solid, with strong arms and horny determination. His cock is just as good as it was weeks ago, if not better, and Felix already feels like a total mess. He's surprised that they even remembered to use a condom.

"I think we should celebrate all weekend," Chris growls against Felix's lips between desperate and messy kisses. "It's not every day you get to fuck a State Champion, is it?"

Chris sticks his tongue out and Felix sucks on it, eager for more of his delicious taste. He doesn't need to answer; he's pretty sure he couldn't be separated from Chris by a team of horses. He clings harder to Chris's shoulders when the alpha starts to thrust faster.

"You're ruining me," Felix whines, wanting to cry because it all feels so good. "Chris, Chris!"

"Just let it happen," Chris cooes, like he's not melting Felix's brain with every thrust. "I've got you, baby, I've got you."

A few rounds and some room service later, Chris has Felix in his lap while he sits on the edge of the bed. Felix likes the way he fits on Chris's lap, sitting sideways with his legs together. He's got his head on the alpha's shoulder and one hand playing with his collar.

"I wanna show you something," Chris says, swiping through his phone. It's an older model, but reliable like everything Chris owns. Felix leans in to get a good look at the screen. It's a picture of a horse, a beautiful American Paint Horse with overo patterning in white and chestnut. The picture must have been taken just before sunset, showing off the horse's shiny mane. "My new pretty girl."

"Beautiful," Felix sighs, taking the phone to get a better look. "What did you name her?"

"Haven't yet. I was thinking…maybe you could name her?"

The words make Felix's mouth go dry, and he almost drops Chris' phone. He tries to play it off as he hands it back, laughing a little.

"I can't name a horse I haven't met, silly."

When Felix looks up to laugh the whole thing off, Chris is looking right into his eyes. It stops the awkward laughter, pulls the air out of his chest.

"I've got a rodeo in Cheyenne in a month. Frontier Days, big celebrations. Before that, we're heading back to the ranch." Chris hesitates, wetting his lips and holding Felix a little tighter. "I want you to come with me, Felix."

"You… You want me with you?"

It's not the first time a cowboy has asked Felix to hit the road with him, but something feels different. Most want an omega to stay at home and wait for them to get back, worrying by the phone every night.

"I wasn't kidding when I said you were my good luck charm."

"Chris… You know what people say about omegas like me, don't you? I don't care if people call me a buckle bunny or talk about my collar, but alphas care about that kind of stuff."

"I don't give a damn about that. Other people don't bother me none. I haven't stopped thinking about you since I saw you. I worked three times as hard just knowing that you were in the stands."

Felix is having a hard time believing that Chris is real, but he doesn't want to leave the alpha's lap. He wraps his arms around Chris's neck and gives him an easy smile.

"You're not worried I'll leave you for another winner?"

Chris smiles big, showing off his perfect teeth.

"Baby, I'm the only winner you'll ever need."

Felix laughs. His heart feels light, void of any fear or anticipation. He figures that, however this pans out, it'll be an adventure.

The next day, when Chris leaves the hotel and Hyunjin comes back, Felix can tell that something has the other omega worried. They're packing up their stuff when Hyunjin finally breaks, groaning dramatically and sitting on the bed hard.

"Felix, I have to tell you something."

Felix arches a brow and sits down between him, waiting to hear what's on his mind.

"Please don't be mad at me."

"Oh, please, Hyunjin. You're my best friend, what could possibly make me mad at you?"

Hyunjin bites his lips, then takes Felix's hands in his own. He takes a deep breath and lets his words out.

"Last night, Changbin asked me to come with him to Wyoming, and I told him I would go. I know we swore not to catch feelings this summer, but he's different! And I want to be with him."

Felix absorbs the information and his friend's expression before bursting out into cheerful laughter. Hyunjin, looking near tears, juts out his lip into a pout.

"Now you're laughing at me?!"

"Silly, you're so silly, Jinnie. Chris asked me to come with him, too. I already agreed."

"What?! You're serious!?"

"You can't get rid of me that easily,"

Hyunjin wraps him up in a big hug, and they spend the next few hours gushing about their newest adventure. Felix was already excited about heading to Cheyenne, but now he's sure that they'll have a hell of a good time, no matter how it pans out.

Hyunjin loses the collar before they hit the Wyoming state line. Felix watched happily as his friend grew more and more comfortable with Changbin. They were cute together, he had to admit. Once they reached Changbin's family ranch, Hyunjin moved in with the alpha at the main house. Changbin promised to build him a house the following summer, but Hyunjin didn't seem in a hurry. Felix was sure that his friend would have been happy enough to live in the camper full-time.

Chris had his own house on the land already. While they were traveling, Felix learned that Chris had come from Australia all by himself as a teen. Changbin's family took him in, and he worked hard on the ranch and in the rodeo to pay them back. His hard work showed in the small, two-bedroom house he'd built a ways from the main house.

"Change the decor however you like," Chris told Felix after their first night in the house. They were wrapped up in each other on a big, soft bed, a welcome change from the smaller, squeaker camper bed.

"Change it? There isn't any!"

Chris had laughed, but he couldn't deny it. The only decoration in the house was pictures of Chris' family and his rodeo achievements.

"Easier for you to add whatever you want. Make it home."

Felix had pretended to fall asleep, but the conversation was still on his mind a week later. He's sitting with Hyunjin on Chris's porch, watching the alphas train Chris's new horse. Felix had named the paint horse Rain, jokingly nicknaming Chris's other horse Spirit whenever he brushed him.

"You know he bought that for you," Hyunjin says, swaying in a rocking chair. Felix sits on a bench beside him, handmade and sturdy.

"Don't say that," Felix sighs, watching Chris gently fit the bridle into Rain's mouth. "Don't make me think about it."

"Come on, kitten. You know you've got him wrapped around your finger."

"That's not the problem."

Hyunjin leans over and tugs on his ear playfully, making Felix cringe and pull back.

"I see, you're scared that you're just as wrapped up, huh?"

"Shut up," Felix says, but his eyes don't leave Chris and Rain.

She's a good horse, only three years old. Chris had been adamant that she was gentle and very easy to ride. Since they got to Wyoming, Chris has worked with her every day. He hadn't brought up the idea of Felix riding her, but Felix could put two and two together.

Before Hyunjin can tease Felix anymore, Changbin calls for his omega.

"Let's go home, baby." The words roll off his tongue so easily that Felix doesn't worry about his friend's future. Changbin is an alpha that falls fast and loves hard, and Hyunjin is happier than Felix has ever seen him.

After Hyunjin and Changbin leave, Felix joins Chris with Rain. He runs his fingers through her mane, cooing at her while Chris adjusts her saddle.

"Gonna ride her around the place, won't be long."

Usually, Felix would hum in agreement, go back into the house, and wait for Chris to get back. If he's feeling generous, he might even start a dinner that Chris will inevitably finish. But, maybe this time, Hyunjin is right.

"Maybe I can take her for a ride this time," Felix says. Chris blinks, leaning in to make sure he heard him right.

"What?"

"You'll have to come with me, of course, but I want to see how she does."

Chris comes up to his side, a hand against his back. He's smiling, but there's still some worry in his eyes. They've had more time to talk, and Chris knows all about Felix's past attempts to get back on the saddle.

"Are you sure?"

"She's my horse, isn't she?" Felix says, "You bought her for me."

Chris's eyes, those beautiful pools that Felix just gets lost in, turn soft and sweet. Felix wonders if Chris has ever gotten his heart broken before, and if that's how he can love Felix so openly. He kisses Felix softly, tenderly as always.

"Yeah, I did. I'll get Smoky ready, we'll ride out together."

"You mean Spirit."

"His name is Smoky!"

That night, Felix is sore but sated. He might have overdone it while riding, seeing as he hasn't been on a horse in years. But Rain was perfect, and the air felt just right. Felix and Chris rode all around the property until it was almost sundown.

Now, Felix wipes the fog off the mirror after his shower so he can take a good look at himself. He's beautiful as always, with freckled skin and long hair. His roots are showing, his manicure needs to be redone, and his tan is uneven. Felix rests a hand on his neck, a rare sight in the last few years. His collar is on the bathroom sink, clean and waiting to be put on again.

One of the effects of long-term collar use is a lack of scent. The pressure of the main scent gland keeps omega's from giving off a very strong scent. It's easy not to notice when you're leaving your one-night stand. But Felix has been here for a while, and nothing smells like him.

Felix gently rubs his scent gland as he looks into the mirror. He knows that he's not afraid of Chris biting him in a moment of passion before Felix is ready. He also knows that Chris would never ask him to take it off. Still, wearing it just doesn't feel right anymore. So, Felix puts his clothes on, soft pajamas, and leaves his collar where it sits.

He manages to miss Chris on his way to the kitchen, the alpha going around to get to the bathroom. Felix can smell dinner baking in the oven, a casserole previously made and frozen by Changbin's mom. Felix figures he can ask her for cooking lessons over the winter, as things develop.

The timer goes off, and Felix takes the casserole out of the oven by the time the shower stops running. He sets it on the counter on top of a trivet, with just enough time to take off his oven mitts before Chris hugs him tight from behind. The alpha's hair is still wet, and he clings to Felix's back, nosing at his scent gland.

It tickles, and Felix laughs as he feebly attempts to get away. There's no fear that Chris will suddenly bite him or worry that he won't like his scent.

"Chris, you're going to get me wet."

"Knew'd you'd smell good, I just knew it."

Felix sighs happily, accepting his fate and letting Chris sway him side to side, like they're dancing to a slow song. Chris's arms stay around his stomach, and Felix rests his own arms on top of them.

"What do I smell like?"

Chris inhales, the heat of his sigh sending warmth down Felix's spine.

"Like spring rain in a patch of wildflowers. The perfect summer shower. God, Felix, you smell like home."

Felix's heart does a flip, but he just keeps swaying in the kitchen. He never expected to find his true love at a rodeo. Really, he never thought he'd meet his true love at all. But every day Felix spends with Chris, he warms up to the idea more and more.

"Let's eat before it gets cold," Felix says, but he makes no move to get out of Chris's grip.

"Just a little longer, please."

"Alright," Felix sighs happily. "Just a little longer."

Notes:

I could have written another 10k words about Chan and Felix falling in love and having a bunch of ranch babies, but I need my brain for other things rn. I hope you enjoyed this, please let me know what you think!
