Chapter Text

Welcome back… to Love Island!
Mallorca is as hot and sunny as ever on our eighth season! Since last year's winners, Max and Bianca, shook things up and sailed off into that musical sunset, it's time to meet the class of 2025 for a new summer of love.

"My name is Lexi Rose, I'm 25 years old, and I'm a model-slash-actress from Camberley. If you're wondering why my face looks familiar, I've been acting since I was just a child! Commercials, shows, I'm sure you've seen me somewhere along the way. I've had two serious boyfriends in my life, and decided if I'm looking for the third—and hopefully last!—I may as well try Love Island!"

"My name is Thabi, I'm 23 years old, and I'm a tour guide from Brighton. Outside of work, I'm quite shy and don't do much dating. I had one serious relationship that lasted two years, but it ended well. We're still friends! He was the one that encouraged me to do this, to… get outside my comfort zone. I've seen how happy last year's winners still are, and I'm hopeful I can find that too. At the very least, I should come out with several new friends! That's still a win!"

"My name is Najuma, I'm 24 years old and I'm a demolition tech from Manchester. I've been blowing up bricks, now it's time to blow up some hearts! I'm a bit spontaneous, me, so I'm hoping to find someone who can keep up with my odd adventures. I like girls too, so the idea of spending the summer in paradise surrounded by worldies was too good to pass up!"

"My name is Angie, I'm 29 years old, and I'm an EMT from Bradford. I have had the worst luck with men—each date is worse than the last. I've a whole list of types I refuse to date again, so even though having to be on telly and do silly challenges is dead opposite of how I want to spend my summer, I can't deny this seems as good a chance as any to find someone who might fit me. Worst case scenario, I could certainly use the time off."

"My name is Kobi, I'm 21 years old, and I'm a hairdresser from Milton Keynes. I've never had a problem getting dates, if I'm honest, so coming onto Love Island feels like the challenge I'm looking for. Yeah, all the girls are guaranteed to be fit, but so are all the lads. Gonna have to really up my game to get and keep a beauty's attention. I'm confident, though. Have to be!"

"My name is Hazeem, I'm 25 years old, and I'm a landscaper from Felixstowe. I'm a level-headed lad, I think, which means I'm not very exciting. But that might make me stand out from the rest of the boys! A show-off fuckboy might be fun at first, but when a lady is ready to settle down and find something real, she looks for someone like me. Reckon that means I'm playing the long game."

"My name is Will, I'm 26 years old, and I'm an artist from Camden. My parents set the standard for a perfect relationship, and after much trial and error back home, I'm here to find what they have. I'm open to anything and everything—including all genders—but that also means I tend to get distracted by new, shiny things. The right person would be able to hold my attention. Keep my feet on the ground when my head's in the clouds."

"My name is James, I'm 25 years old, and I'm a bartender from London. I'm a romantic at heart. More comfortable with books than with girls, though. I've had one long-term relationship, and honestly that's all I'm interested in. I don't like the games, the uncertainty of dating. I want someone who wants to be with me as much as I want to be with her. Maybe that means we need to be friends first. Spending all day, every day with the same group of people seems a good way to do just that."
And that's just the first batch of hopeful lovers coming into the Villa. This season, we'll see more bombshells than ever before, each one perfectly poised to shake the status quo and reset the timer. Brace yourself! The first one's dropping during the Heart Rate Challenge in three… two…

"My name is Noah, I'm 25, and I'm a musician from Manchester. I've been known to make men fall to their knees when I'm singing on stage, so I know I can turn a few heads… maybe more than a few. But I just can't find the spark I'm looking for, and I'm tired of the same old tricks. I'm cute, I love a bit of banter, and I'm here to find the man of my dreams. So look out, ladies. The first bombshell has arrived."
"Careful now
Ooo, with my head
I said, careful now
What you do to my head
Make your mind up, make your little mind up
To each his own, to each his or her own"
