A Spider plague in Gotham

Summary:

The fear washed over him for a fraction of second, and then, that's when his hears caught up the sound of the materia breaking itself behind him, the sound of air suddenly moving from one place to another to make a hole for his existence, and then, the unconsciousness was the new feeling that trapped him and comforted him from the previus fear and panic of falling from a rooftop.

Peter froze as he saw his versions there, just with the slight diference of a small handful of their hair right at their foreheads, which seemed to have been dyed by the snow, being a pure white that he didn't remember they haved the last time he saw them, flooting in the green water like he was doing just moments ago.

"And i'm glad to have you guys back." He mumbled in quite a tired sigh. He wans't alone, not anymore, and he haved people that not only knowed him, but that haved almost the same life like him, people that completly understand him, his ways and emotions, and that feeling was the most close to feeling like being back at home.

Notes:

Just so you know, this fic is only made by pure boredom, so don't expect this to not have plot holes, bad grammar, etc. Also it's my first fic that i will continue and not left to just be another uncomplete fic of Ao3.

I don't speak english and i know very little of both universes of Marvel and Dc, but i still wanted to do this fic, so if you have any recommendation on what should i watch or read to understand better the both univers i will be more than just happy to hear it. Also, the tags are going to be re uploded every here and there bc i don't exactly have an entire idea of whats going to be in all this.

Oh and btw, yes, firstly they call among themselfs Peter, Pete and Petey so the diference themself from each other, originally it was going to be like in the movie, Peter 1,2 and 3, but i thought that it would be quite confusing, so, Tobey is Peter, Andrew is Pete and Tom is Petey, and don't worry, they aren't going to be the official names of them through all the fic, these are only for this episode.

Being this said, have a great day, love ya, i hope this letter finds you well buddy <3

Chapter 1: Three confused spiders

Chapter Text

Another day, and more time to by a nobody to everybody. Peter was in the rooftop of just another building of the hundreds or maybe thousands of buildings that where in the busy New York city. The eyebags under his eyes and the burning feeling everytime he squinted or blinked being the clear remind that he was tired, but not enough to fall into the deep sleep he was depriving himself of.

He haved a bad posture if that maked things better. His back hurted and he feel like he could fall directly to the air and hit the ground if he just closed his eyes for a moment to ease the weight in his eyes and have himself resting for a bit. He sighed, closing his eyes for a small second, only to open them again after some moments, not really wanting to just fall to his own death because he wanted to sleep so bad.

He blinked his eyes at least four of five times before pulling himself up and a bit far from the edge, just enough to not fall but still close to keep looking at the view of the sun rising above all the city, filling the streets with it's sunlight and that goldish and yellow atmosphere by the early morning.

The gaze of Peter directed itself at the sun coming up, mentally wanting to stay a little more to see for a little longer the beauty the sky haved to offer, but his body was not asking, it was begging to get sleep and a good rest for his own sake. He could feel his own body starting to get weak and his movements being slightly clumsy even if he was just taking small steps or moving his arms. It was a fact, he did needed to sleep, just this time, just this once, he would listen to his own body and give it the proper rest it needed. He gived the view a small look one last time before going to rest. It was really pretty, the sun gifting it's warm to the world and it's light, iluminating almost every single dark alley or hole that was hidding in the city. The morning birds alredy singing their little noises to the ears that got up early, or the ears like him that could't sleep and stayed up all night. He huffed at the sight, just to turn on his heels and start walking slowly to the other edge of the rooftop with extreme care to not trip and fall, it would be an akward way to die. Falling to his dead for a bad step just because he was dying to go to sleep? No thanks.

Just as he was infront of the edge of that rooftop, ready to take one foot off the floor of that roof, until a suddenly and strange wave of dizziness hit him, making him double think the action of even getting down from that rooftop in first place. He closed his eyes and maked his own hands into fist, digging his nails in his own skin. Probably it was another thing that his body was taking revenge on him for not sleeping enough. He stayed as still as he could, traying to not lose stability of his own body. Yup, he was absolutly going to stay up there for a little while. He exhaled all the air from his lungs, traying to provide himself at least a small relif from the dizziness that smacked him just right in the face when he was about to do something to prevent those type of things of happening. He turned on his heels, his back facing the edge of the rooftop instead of his face. He was about to get onto the floor of the rooftop again, to rest his body and limbs against an old wall in there and close his eyes for a moment maybe, if he could't get the sleep he wanted inside his warm apartament, then he would embrace himself with his own webs, at least those would give him the feeling of being under a blanket instead of sleeping in the hard concrete in the top of a random building in the city.

Just when he was going to take a foot into the floor, suddenly, he felt his other feet slip out of the edge of the rooftop. He didn't know how, or well, he did actually, but you can't exactly think right when you're falling from a roof and feeling nothing but fresh air brushing against your skin. Yeah, he was Spider-man, he could have sticked himself to the roof, or maybe shoot a spiderwebb to the wall of a building to not fall, but is body didn't answer at all. It all feel numb, his limbs felt like they weighted more than they should, he just could not move, probably all that as a response for not sleeping well in the last weeks.

He shut down his eyelids, like if doing that was going to save him from the horrendous pain he was going to experiment. The fear washed over him for a fraction of second, and then, that's when his hears caught up the sound of the materia breaking itself behind him, the sound of something tearing apart to make a hole for his existence, and then, the unconsciousness was the new feeling that trapped him and comforted him from the previus fear and panic of falling from a rooftop. It felt like sleeping, and in fact, he seemed to actually by sleeping. He didn't haved thoughts or felt any feeling at all in those moments, just for a small fraction of time, it felt like peace.

┌─── ∘°🕸️°∘ ───┐

└─── °∘🕸️∘° ───┘

When Peter woke up, the feeling of drowing overstimulated him. He felt like he was under water in a place that was just designed to hold him back from escaping. He desperatly tapped with the palm of his hands the wall that was containing him, only to feel a small wave of hope when he felt it. Glass. That was it, glass, it should't be that hard to break it considering his super strenght if he quit the fact that the water around him maked his movements more slow and less powerfull and they should be. Even with that, after some small seconds of just smacking his fist against the glass, he started to hear the small sound of the cracks that were forming into the glass. He punched harder and harder, even if his knucles alredy hurt so bad. And then, he finally heard the final crack. The capsule where he was being contain finally breaked.

The water washed all over the floor, the small glasses being shattered into tiny pieces going here and there. Peter breathed in and out, traying to catch his breath at least a little bit after holding it for about a minute or two qhile being under the water. He finally opened his eyes, he felt a slight discomfort at the feeling of the water making his hair being sticky against his forehead. He didn't even look around the first moments, he just breathed, that's what he needed, he needed to breath.

When he finally looked more carefully at his surroundings he managed to catch two or three small but still concerning things. One, he seemed to be in a type of laboratory, and judging by it's looking, it seemed like it was abandoned. There was papers here and there, in the floor, the desks, heck, he even managed to see a huge pile of papers in one corner of the old laboratory, seems like whoever was there was rushing to get out of there as soon as possible. The second thing that started to make him more worried, the water. It wans't just any normal water, it was a green strange one, those things combined only maked him more confused to why was he there, being drowned in that type of cointaiment in an old laboratory. Oh, and a third thing, there was small pieces of glass incrusted into the palms of his hands due to the hits he gived the capsule. It did hurt, but it was something that he could handle later.

What mattered now, was the fourth thing. And that was the most crazy right now, because, what will you do if you see your other two versions that you once meet in the past, now in two capsules that were indentical to the one where you were being kept. Peter 1 and Peter 3, as they once called themselfs while doing a teamwork against their villains. Peter froze as he saw his versions there, just with the slight diference of a small handful of their hair right at their foreheads, which seemed to have been dyed by the snow, being a pure white that he didn't remember they haved the last time he saw them, flooting in the green water like he was doing just moments ago, were they drowning? Why where they in there in the first place?! Didn't the things got fixed by Petey and that wirzard?!

Slightly, just for a tiny bit, he saw by the corner of his eyes a green creeping trough him. A wave of panic and fear that he didn't knowed he was holding back filled him. He inhalated. Then, his hands becomed fists again, even if they alredy hurt for the small pieces of glass that were with him. He didn't knowed why, but the fear taked over him as that green creeped more into his sight, his body moving even when all that he could think of was to how not to freak out. He tried to ignore it, it was messing with his now current mission, taking Petey and Pete out of those containment capsules. He didn't exactly knowed why they were there, or what where they doing to them, what he did knowed is that he needed to keep his other versions safe. His breath becomed irregular, his mind not thinking very clearly, the only thought he haved was to break that damn thing and protect his friends, but how could he do that if he was so freaked out?

He moved his hands to his hair, gripping it with force, traying to calm himself, just thinking and mumbling uncoherent things for some seconds. "Protect, you need to protect them... Break the glass and let your anger flow when you do it... Just... Keep yourself calm when they wake up." He almost felt like he was just ripping from his own head his hair. He breathed in and out, finally letting free his hair, his hands becoming the fists they once were, now a little more ready to help his friends. The green was persistent at staying at his side, but he really didn't wanted to distract, to focuse in something that only maked things worse.

His first punch didn't really do much effect. Obviusly it was a reforced crystal or something like that to prevent them from escaping from whatever lab freaky things they were doing to them. The second hit maked a big crack, the strength of the punch being enough to move slightly the own capsule. And then, he saw it, the small flicker and frown in the face of Peter 3. He was gaining consciousness just like he did small secods ago, he needed to get him out of there more fast, he knowed that drowning feeling, and he didn't exactly want Pete experiencing it as he did.

He could see how the discomfort started to be more present into the face of his version. How his fingers slightly twiched, how his limbs started to move a little bit, and then how he seemed to be more aware that he was in fact drowning. He punched even more hardly the glass. One, two hits, two more hits taked to break the capsule where Pete was, the feeling of that green looking water, or maybe it was another substance he wans't exactly aware of. It washed his feets, the glass shattering again against and all the floor, making a more big mess. He managed to put his hands onto the shoulders of Pete, preventing him from falling to the ground and hurt himself with the glass just as he did.

He inmidiatly heard the gasp of air and the relif of breathing after feeling he was drowning. It maked him slightly happy to know that his other version at least got to see a familiar face after just waking up, unlike him that haved to face a cold laboratory and the captured bodies of his friends that seemed to be a lab rat like him. What he was not ready to face was the sudden feeling of his own body tensing up, his spider senses warning him inmidiatly.

Confused, 𝙨𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙙, 𝙙𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧, 𝙙𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧, 𝘿𝘼𝙉𝙂𝙀𝙍.

He inmidiatly crouched down, leaving the shoulders of Pete, dodging a punch that was directed to his jaw. He could sense that it was no meant to harm at all, but to protect, to shove away. He kicked Pete in the stomach, just with the enough strength for it to hurt and make him to move his hands to his stomach, but not so hard to actually harm him, it was far from what he actually wanted for his friend. He shoot his webs to the hands and forearms of Pete, inmobilizing him for small seconds of his sudden punchs and attacks.

Again, he put his hands into his shoulders, keeping a firm grip as he shoved Pete back to the capsule so his back was against the glass to prevent him from doing more things that could hurt him or himself. He felt worried, but at the same time he felt how a strange irritation was also bubblin up in him, the thought that he was saving him but he inmidiatly attacked him just maked him... Disgusted?

Why.Why?

He felt disgusted at how his body wanted to do things that he really didn't wanted to. He wans't thinking that. Was he? It was just a side effect of the experiments. He breathed a shaky sigh trough his nose, his grip onto the shoulders of his other version slightly becoming a more firm grip.

He haved to calm down, because if he didn't, he was going to make Pete to freak out more, they both got the spider sense, if he could feel the emotions and danger that the other Peter meaned to him, then his version could also sense how much of a danger he also was. If he barely managed to not actually do the things his body was telling him to do, he didn't wanted to test out how his version was doing right now.

Pete was still squirming under his grip and the spiderweb that he gotten himself into. Yes, he haved super strength, but his actual mision right now was to get away from his other version who seemed sl hostile towards him, wich was kind of dificult while being pinned against a wall of glass.

He didn't knowed how or what got into his mind, how he managed to ignore the green that surrounded him, but he pulled Pete into a tight hug, preventing him from running away or to try and hurt him, but to also comfort him, to make him calm and secure, to make him know that he was not the menace, that both of them weren't enemys. It was all to make him calm, but deep in him, it was also to comfort himself, to know that he would not hurt anybody even if his body was screaming at the tops of its lungs in his ears, that he could resist that urge he haved when he woke up.

"Pete, Pete it's okay, him here with you, you're not alone, you don't have to pass through this alone.. I'm here Pete, just calm down, okay? I know you remember me."

He slightly pulled away as he felt how the body under his embrace stoped squirming and instead becomed a bit stif, wanting his face to be seen and to be reminder for Pete that he was not with a stranger, that he was with a friend that would not let him down.

He didn't knowed if Pete actually remember him, or if it was his soothing words, but his breath slowly began to calm with each word he sayed to his version. His chest rising up and down again, going with a so much more slow rythm. He looked at the eyes of Pete, only to discover the green that those eyes where holding a bright green he had never seen before. Or... A green that just moments ago filled his own eyes and lungs drowning him into a wave of rage.

He swallowed, traying to ignore those things for now. The only important thing was to keep Pete calm, and it seemed like it was actually working after some seconds were he felt the embrace being gived back, finally, that kind voice he remembered started talking, filling his ears like music.

"Peter... Peter?"

He slowly sighed, relived that at least that Pete was safe and in his embrace.

"Im here Pete."

"Where... Where are we? Why are you here? Where i am?"

"Mmmm... I haved the same questions if im honest... Look, as far as i can tell, i am as confused as you,but basically... Seems like we are in a strange abandoned old lab." His arms slowly got away from the body of the other, finally giving him the space he deserved after capture him in a so tiny space."You, me, and our Peter that haves a baby face."

"Wait... He's here too?!" When he sayed that, his head was looking from one place to another, looking for Petey before his actions where stopped with the words of Peter.

"I know, i know... The spider trio is together again, but, if we don't stay calm, we can't get out of here and can't do much."

He clearly could see the panic and confusion in the other at the knowledge that they weren't alone, that in fact, there was still one of them stuck into those capsules. He could see it and sense it, and he knowed that the other could also feel the fear and tension he was holding back, but that he wans't exactly showing in the moment.

"Don't freak out... But we have to break the capsule were Petey is, i need your help, okay? "

"Okay... Uhm... Why is a bunch of your hair white, and i don't want to sound rude, but didn't you have blue eyes?" When he asked that, his gaze was directed to the small chunk of white hair, that's the first thing Pete noticed of Peter before those bright eyes, they seemed to glow in some strange way.

For Pete, they were simple and genuine words of confusion, a simple question that didn't mean much, but the thing is, it did meaned much.

Peter felt how his heart skipped a beat, how his throat become thicker, breathing and swallowing being more dificult to do now, even if it was neccesity to suppres the fear. He closed his eyes for a small moment, traying to supress the stress, to supress what he was feeling. .

Of course.

Of course.

He was also in a capsule, why was he freaked out to know that his eyes and even his hair were diferent of how they normaly were, he was also a victim of whatever that crazy experiment was. He sighed trough his nose, traying to sound as calm as possible.

"I... I don't know Pete... I think its a side effect thanks to the liquid we were in.. Still don't know what it is...We are matching, you have green eyes and also a bunch of white hair."

"Wait... I do?"

Pete inmidiatly shoot a look at his how forehead, moving slightly his hands to touch his own hair, he inmidiatly wrasped a small chunk of his hair in his fingers, moving his hair more close to his forehead so he could have a better view of his hair. The gasp of surprise that Peter heard didn't haved words to be described besides surprised and happy in some way, probably because they were more alike now.

"My god... It's true, we are actually matching!"

"Told you."

"Wait... Didn't you say Petey was here?

"Oh fuck yes-! We have to get him out of his capsule."

As he sayed that, he inmidiatly turned his head to his side, walking fastly, and almost running to the capsule where Petey was, gulping as he noticed how his other version was alredy tapping with his hands the glass with desperation. He didn't even hesitate this time, he shoot a web to one of the metal chairs that was in the floor and he launched it to his hands before Pete screamed at him.

"Wait wait! I know he's drowning but be careful that he is not infront of the glass when you break it. Break the glass and i'll catch him, okay?"

He gived a small and quick nod to his other version as he adjusted the chair into his hands, sighing heavely through his nose before giving a small glance to Pete to verificate he was ready. They both nodded when their gazes fixated in each other, before the hard smack and sound of glass shattering in the floor filled both of their ears. Pete caught him into his arms his other version, being careful to hold him with a gentle gripp. He could feel his coughs and desperate movements in his hands while he kept him in place.

"Be careful, we don't know if he will react like you did."

While Peter sayed that, his hands slightly began to tremble as he put down the chair into the floor. He looked at them, the burning feeling in his hands thanks to the shattered glass that was deep down in his skin, originally they weren't that deep in his hands, but thanks to the hits he gave to the capsule of Pete, and also how hard he gripped the edges of the chair, they were now more hard to ignore. There was small pieces and then there was one or two pieces of a medium size that bothered him more than the small one. He started to zone out. The feeling of the burning glass and the question of what were they doing, why were there there, all that starting to distract him. He didn't even notice how Petey actually managed to give at least one hit to Pete. He only got his eyes back at the pair when he heard that question:

"Are you okay?"

"Uh?... Yeah... Yeah... Just... Im kind of bleeding, but i can handle it, how's Petey?" As he sayed that, he showed his palms to Pete, at least showing him the damage could make him not to worry so much.

"He started coughing, he opened his eyes as wide as it's possible and then his body seemed to relax when he saw me, and then he just closed his eyes.."

"He... He closed his eyes?"

"He first punched me in the jaw, he seemed so... Scared and yet so mad, then i caught his fist in the air when he was about to hit me again, then happend what i told you... He seemed to be... Exhausted..."

"Maybe we took to long to take him out of his capsule..." He sayed, a remorseful feeling started to eat him from inside.

"Yeah, maybe... But... Now we can take care of him, we just need to get out of here and-"

And just while he was about to continue, the small sound of a moan comed out of between his arms were he held Petey from his forearms. Both Peters became silent as they saw how the most baby face looking of them started to wake up.

┌─── ∘°🕸️°∘ ───┐
└─── °∘🕸️∘° ───┘

When Peter slowly opened his eyes, he could feel how his body was alredy thanking him for the rest he just haved after weeks of refusing or having bad nights that maked him have barely hours of sleep. He could feel the strange feeling of two hands resting under his arms, holding him for some reason, the feeling of two pair of eyes that were directed into his face, and then, he started to remember, that familiar face that was holding him carefully, catching his hand in the air. Eyes and hair that didn't match the image he remembered when he last saw him, but the rest was the same. He didn't needed to look to know that the arms that were holding him were of Pete, while the pair of eyes that stared at him from a small distance belonged to Peter. He maybe could't see them, but just the image of the face of Pete traying to reasure him while he attacked him was enough to provide the calm he needed to not freak out.

"Guys?..." He quietly mumbled as he fluttered his eyelids. When he fully opened his eyes, he saw in front of him the figure of Peter, being just slightly iluminated by a small light that comed from a small rectangular lamp that was attached to the lower and inner part of the capsule that was next to him, he could feel the light of his own capsule dazzle him despite the little shine it produced.

He suddenly felt two arms wrapping him in a gentle and comforting embrace. "Peter him so glad you're okay!" Pete sayed as he gently kept his arms around him. He chuckled softly at the welcome after passing out for god knows how long. "And i'm glad to have you guys back." He mumbled in quite a tired sigh. He wans't alone, not anymore, and he haved people that not only knowed him, but that haved almost the same life like him, people that completly understanded him, his ways and emotions, and that was the most close feeling like being back at home.

"Happy to know you're okay Petey." Peter mumbled from the distance, a small smile appearing on his face while he looked at him. Petey managed to notice how Peter haved small cuts into his hands and haved that same strange look of sharp green eyes and a bunch of hair from his forehead being white. He didn't knowed why, instincts he supposed, but he snapped his head to look up at the version that currently was holding him in a small hug, only to notice that he haved just the same strange look as he remember when he first saw him.

"So-"

"Yes, yes, we know you have questions, and.. We also have them, because we also aren't sure how are we here in this... Creepy laboratory." While Peter sayed that, he could feel the embrace that was holding him shifting to just a hand resting in his shoulder, gentle, but still as affectionate as that hug.

"Uhm... Can i ask about the hair and eye thing?" He mentioned as he turned his head left and right to look at both of his versions. Both of them having those features that he didn't quite remember they haved.

"Yeah... We also aren't sure, but, the most accurate reason to why we are like this, is the same reason why all of us in this laboratory." Pete taked with his thump and index finger some of the hair white hair that Petey also haved.

"Wait- i also have these?" He sayed as he felt a small tickle feeling at his forehead when Pete left finally his small chunk of hair.

"Kind of crazy that now all of us look alike don't you think?"

"Well yeah sure, it looks kind of cool and all but... What if it is a negative efect of whatever they were doing to us in here-!?" While Pete and Petey started yapping, Peter started to analyze more carefully the place again. His gaze going from the floor to the papers that were all over the place. If they were being experiments against their own will, surely they have documented how they found them and what type of things they started to do with them.

For a moment, he thought that his vision in the dark was even better, the lack of difficulty when he haved to look around was now just gone, it was as easy as looking through a iluminated room.

He bended down, his gaze going from one paper to another, and just when he was touching the edge of one of the papers with the tip of his fingers, that's when his senses got into alert mode. The sound of the voices of the other Peters suddenly becoming as quiet like him.

They sensed the same.

Footsteps. Close. A punch. HIDE.

They all three looked at each other like meerkats when they heard the sound of someone kicking the door of the dark laboratory. All of them didn't even need to nodd or say something to agree, they all  realized they haved the same thought at the same time when they saw how all of them just jumped to climb up the same wall and stay in the exact corner just like a family of spiders hanging in the corner of your room. They squeezed themself in there, just waiting to know who was the person who decided to enter when they were starting to chill down after waking up there.

It taked at least 4 or maybe 5 kicks to force the door open. The light of a lamp iluminating the room so suddenly dazzle two of the boys thanks to the dark atmosphere they were sorrounded of all that time, making them squint, the curly haired one just closed his eyes even before the light appeard in the room.

The light of the lamp was firstly in the ground, then it was moved to the capsules that were still dripping that green liquid.

"This place looks so cool!"

"And creepy, looks like they were doing human experiments on here."

Suddenly, two voices comed from the door frame. The one holding the light belonging to a boy and then the other one belonging to a girl, the first one seeming to be more interested in the place, while the girl looked more creeped out.

"C'mon, it's urban exploration, of course some of the places we explore are going to be creepy Sarah."

"Two teenagers doing urban exploration on Gotham? Yeah sure, that sounds like being a easy target to be mugged, great idea Ethan."

Gotham.

The sound of that city sounded unusual, never really heard of it before, but it was actually a big hint. He would try to not forget it, it would help him, Petey and Pete.

The teens started to investigate a little further. Walking into the laboratory, looking down at the papers, seeing the place around, etc. When they were just infront of the capsules, making big theories of what could have been in there. It was an opportunity to escape through the door.

Peter just started to move towards the door frame. Back against the wall to have a good look at the kids, hands and feets still sticky. While he was doing that, he notice the small moves that Petey was doing with his hands before whispering to him, traying to sound as quiet as possible to not drag the attention of the kids.

"Wait- wait- If we leave we can't look up the information they have about us in the files. Besides.. What if the green water is dangerous to the kids-"

"Petey we can get the information later, and i really doubt that they touch the water-"

"But what if they do it by accident or-"

Suddenly, he and Pete were dazzled by the bright light that was being reflected at them, the two closing their eyes, barely making the try to keep them open.

The three boys could feel and hear the hearts of all the people in the room skip a beat or increase really fast.

┌─── ∘°🕸️°∘ ───┐

└─── °∘🕸️∘° ───┘

Ethan freezed as he moved his hand that haved the lamp to the corner, iluminating that dark zone of the room were he and Sarah were currently in. Four green bright eyes shined in the light of his lamp, while two other eyes were staring at him directly from just above the door. He didn't even think twice as he just grabbed the wrist of her best friend and rushed to the door, leaving fast and panicked sounds of footsteps behind him as the only proof that he and Sarah were in there. He managed to hear how something heavy dropped to the floor, he was sure that it was one of those going after them.

The old lab was so insecure that he and Sarah managed to get out in just 1 or 2 minutes. Seems like whoever was doing those experiments didn't care at all about the security, and he slightly started to make an idea of why. Three scary as fuck people just looking at them from above the shadows, whispering things that he could't exactly recall.

When he and Sarah finally got out of the building that was hiding that lab, he didn't actually let go, he just sprinted in the streets, running as fast and far as he could, because being trapped by one of those things? No thanks. When he finally felt safe after running for so long, he started gasping for air, letting go finally, while Sarah just stared at him, shocked and at the same time scared.

"Ethan.. What in the actual fuck was that?!"

"I don't know! I don't know... I heard about this abandoned building being a cool place, and i... I wanted for us to be the first ones exploring that level of floor that they said that was haunted.. I wanted us to be the first people to explore it and all!"

"You brought us to an unexplored place that haved some strange creatures?!"

While the two teens screamed at each other, those green eyes stared from his red mask, raising an eyebrow at all the uncoherent things he was hearing in just seconds from two scared teens that haven't notice him yet. He sighed, mentally preparing to this interesting interaction he was about to have with these street kids he normally used to protect.

"What's the big deal now?" As he crossed his arms, he stared at both teens, who inmidiatly jumped at the sudden voice, but they seamed to calm down at the familiar sight.

"Redhoodwewereinaabandonedplacedoingurbanexplorationlikenormalandthensomescarybrightgreeneyesscaredtheshitoutofus!" Ethan inmidiatly started to rant, Sarah and Red hood giving each other a small glance.

"You... You saw some green bright eyes in a abandoned place?..."

"Yes!" Both kids inmidiatly screamed.

"What where you two doing in doing a exploration at this hours...? You do know how dangerous it is right-?"

"I'll abruptly change the topic so we don't get your dad scold- Anyway, the thing here is, it was a strange old lab and i thought i was alucinating when i was hearing whispers, but when i moved the light towards the corner there were like two guys in the corner of the roof and then there was another one just above the door frame, i didn't see him, what we saw were actually his-"

"His eyes" Sarah interrupted. "His eyes shined in the dark with the small light that managed to get him."

Red hood stared at both of the teens, his brows frowning at the thought. He finally uncrossed his arms, his hands landing into the shoulder of both teens.

"First thing first, you both need to go back to the shelter, we will talk later about how you two keep getting in trouble, don't you think i will forget it. So, let's go."

"Wait! What will happen to those guys?! You will let them there?"

"Don't worry Sarah, i'll walk you two to the shelter and then i'll go to that place where you were running from. Sounds good?"

After he sayed that, the silence of the both teenagers was enough for Red hood to take it as a yes. He gived a small nodd to both of them to began walking, his mind alredy thinking into the possibilities of maybe some new metahumans in Gotham.

When Petey saw the two teens running away, he inmidiatly got down to the floor, panicking at the thought that they just saw some random people sticking to the wall. He was about to run behind them, but even before he passed through the doorframe, Peter falled down from the wall, blocking his way out.

"Peter please-"

"Peter please nothing, Petey, what do you think those kids will think if they start to hear footsteps behind them chasing them down in a abandoned lab... What would you even say to them in the first place?" While he sayed that, he began to place his hands into his shoulders, slightly wincing because of the glass. God... How could he ignore that feeling when he was pinning Pete against the capsule? His wrip was not being tight or firm, just gentle."We would scare them more than they alredy are Petey.. I know it's quite scary to know that some people see you as a freak, but you can't chance their vision.. Let's just.. Get out of here, shall we? I got a bad feeling if we stay longer"

"But what about the information in the files? It can actually help us." Pete asked as he leaned agaisnt a wall, his question being something that the three of them actually were worried about. Those files could be their solution or something more deep, whatever it was, they haved the answers right there, they just needed to read for a little bit and they would discover the secrets that were keep into the lab.

Peter thought about it. Yes, they in fact did needed the information right now, but after seeing those teens running like their life depended on it, maked him question if someone eventually would come back in there, he didn't knowed at all, he just got that strange feeling that they haved to leave.

"We can get it eventually, right now... Maybe we can focus into getting out of here and find a safe place?" While he sayed that he shifted his hands, only one of them being in the back of Petey.

"That... Actually sounds quite well.. I would like to rest a bit." Petey yawned just when he sayed that last stence, stretching his arms up in the air.

"And we can also heal you from the glass. I know you haved worse Peter, but, i think that it's the best if we remove them before they get infected." Peter smiled softly as he heard the worry of Pete's voice. It was reassuring to know that, while he protected, he was also being protected by them.

The three spider boys started to walk down the hall of the rest if the laboratory, leaving behind that strange and unfamiliar place, just to start a new adventure together in this Gotham city.

"So... Is it just me or the room of the lab looked actually normal when there was just the lamp of the capsules filling the place with light-?"

"Don't fuck with me Peter, you also could see it like that?!"

"Wait-! You two also got to see the room as normal-?!"

"Do we have night vision now!?!"
