I really fucked up this time, were Taehyung’s dying thoughts as he stared death himself in the form of the drug lord Min Yoongi.
The said drug lord stood no taller than 5’9, but the intimidating aura he emitted made up for his lack of height. Being in close proximity of an angry Min Yoongi made the air around him suffocating, and Taehyung found himself holding his breath for the fear of breathing in the toxic air. The younger shuffled nervously in his place, his hands sweating profusely and slightly trembling. Hoseok, god bless his good friend, stood next to him in support of the fucked up kid. Despite being the trusted dealer of the black market head, Hoseok never purposefully got on Yoongi’s nerves which made the guy undeniably uncomfortable standing in the presence of a pissed off drug lord.
The three stood in a private room located at Yoongi’s nightclub downtown. The dimly lit room only exaggerated the demonic atmosphere and Taehyung was growing nervous every second the silence stretched. He had been in the same nightclub countless of times, but never in this particular room. Only a handful of people were ever granted access to this privacy, and sure, Taehyung had always wanted to enter the room ever since he heard of it from Hoseok. But never this way.
It was last night when Taehyung’s most regrettable mistake (because he has countless of regrettable ones) took place. He was really high at the time when he was introduced to Jimin (the mayor’s kid but everybody already knew that). Anyway, he had seen the two-faced cutie at Min Yoongi’s nightclub several times to recognize who he was no matter how stoned Taehyung might seem. He was so stoked to finally talk with the dancing machine and inadvertently got the rich boy involved with a huge ass mess, including the cops and the media.
Taehyung managed to con Jimin into placing a ton of money into Jungkook’s street racing competition. As expected, his prodigal partner won the race, but the old losers had enough of the younger’s consecutive wins. They thought it was time to put the kid in his place, so a nasty fight broke out. The police got involved almost too quickly, and hungry media vultures launched at their meal as soon as they could. Footage of the scene leaked out, but luckily their faces (especially Jimin’s) were not exposed. Honestly, Taehyung had no idea how the fuck that happened, but he was grateful.
How was the drug lord involved in this giant mess, you might ask? Well, Min Yoongi was only well acquainted with Jimin (and secretly the Mayor, too). A police apparently remembered seeing Jimin among the street racing crowd, dug a little deeper into the boy’s background, and managed to land at Yoongi’s nightclub where the cop had heard Jimin frequented. So, now the said cop was waiting outside the nightclub as they spoke and wanted to have a minute with the nightclub’s owner.
“Why is there a fuckin’ cop in my nightclub, Hoseok.” It was more of a command than a question coming from Yoongi. The pepper-gray haired man shifted his weight as he stared at Hoseok as if he could read the dealer’s mind.
“He’s a greenhorn. He’s eager for a promotion and jumped at the chance the moment he saw one. He doesn’t really know how things work around here. Not yet,” Hoseok tried to explain coolly. Taehyung felt a new sense of pride and respect toward his friend for being able to handle a conversation with Min Yoongi.
“Obviously. This the kid?” Yoongi’s attention was now fully on Taehyung. His expression was unreadable, his low, sexy voice rumbled, but Taehyung could only swallow audibly in response. The drug lord’s pale skin glowed in the dark room. The younger had to focus really hard to avoid being distracted by Yoongi’s intimidating and handsome presence.
Hoseok had warned Taehyung ahead of time that he would do all the talking, so the younger tried his best to keep his mouth shut. “He’s basically innocent. Nobody knew that something troublesome would happen-“
“It doesn’t change the fact that this is gonna give the mayor a headache which I don’t really want to deal with.” Yoongi took several steps toward Taehyung as if he was about to devour his prey. “Now, how should I deal with you?”
“Hyung-“ Hoseok started which was interrupted when Yoongi shoot him a glare. The drug lord stopped, his face less than a foot from Taehyung’s. “I could pin it all on you and that’ll be the end of it. The cop out there had seen your face, after all.”
Taehyung’s mind had stopped working the moment Yoongi walked towards him. And now with the drug lord right in front of him, he pictured multiple scenarios of how the older would get rid of his body like he never existed. His parents and everyone who knew him would all deny his existence in fear of suffering the same fate.
“What cop?” A new voice broke the tension and interrupted Taehyung’s dying thoughts. He searched for the owner of the voice and gaped at the sight of the actor Kim Seokjin. The older man was smiling, his head tilted to the side innocently. Taehyung stared at the man from head to toe and found no imperfection. The actor literally glowed with his blond hair slightly parted to the side, his bangs gently hovering over his wide forehead. His face looked like that of a Greek god, sharp and gentle features, but unrealistically beautiful like that of a goddess. His plump, strawberry lips slightly parted, his eyes looked playfully seductive as if he could read Taehyung’s thoughts when he met the younger’s gaze. His slender body was hugged perfectly by his silky, midnight blue yukata which was too open on the chest, unnecessarily exposing his porcelain skin.
“Wow…” Taehyung realized too late that he spoke his thoughts out loud which earned a terrifying glare from the drug lord who was now beginning to look even angrier than before. Hoseok has seen the actor multiple times, but was still expressively impressed by the actor’s appearance. “Seokjin-hyung! What are you wearing?! I mean, hot damn!”
The actor giggled lightly and responded, “I just finished shooting a scene for my new movie and came straight here.” His eyes flickered seductively towards the troubled drug lord. “How do I look?” he asked, his voice teasing.
“Don’t change the subject. Where did the cop go?” Yoongi almost growled as he spoke.
“If you mean that young man who was here earlier, he’s already gone. I only chatted with him a little bit…” Taehyung felt offended when the actor playfully bit his lower lip.
“How the fuck did you make him leave?” If Min Yoongi seemed like a demon warlord earlier, he really looked like satan himself now thought Taehyung. The drug lord looked positively furious, his eyes never leaving the actor’s. Unaffected, Seokjin gracefully walked towards Yoongi. He moved his face close to the drug lord’s, his lips almost touching the other’s skin. He traced the other’s face with his lips, carefully not making contact, moving his lips toward Yoongi’s right ear and practically moaned his sentence, making Taehyung’s friend react inside his pants.
“You’re gonna have to squeeze that information out of me.” The actor let out a whispery chuckle before heading towards the double door at the back of the room. Yoongi cussed under his breath. “You asked for it.” He waved Hoseok and Taehyung out of the room, implying that their conversation was over.
Taehyung followed Seokjin with his eyes, drawn by the actor’s alluring back when the older suddenly turned around and winked at his direction. Yoongi shadowed the older and grabbed him by the waist before closing the doors behind them.
“You should be grateful to Seokjin-hyung. He just saved your ass.”
But not his ass thought Taehyung, his mind racing with wild imagination of what was happening behind closed doors. He quietly followed Hoseok out of the nightclub. He wondered who really ruled the underground world, and the actor’s image popped in his head.
