Work Text:

One look, dark room
Meant just for you
Time moved too fast
You played it back

They were sitting in the map room, researching for the case in
Colorado. It was dark in the room, with only a couple lamps switched on for light.

Sam was on his laptop, going through articles and research papers online. Dean was leaning on his chair, head bent over a book, exhausted. They had been researching for quite a lot of hours now.

Cas entered the map room then, pizza boxes and beer bottles in his hand.

One look at him, and Dean stood up, and grabbed the pizza boxes and beer bottles from him.

“You are a god sent.” Dean dramatically sighed and he began opening the beer bottle, which now laid on the map table beside the pizza boxes.

When Dean’s eyes were out of sight, Cas looked at him. He looked at him with fondness, and adoration, as if Dean were made of diamonds.

“Sam, you must eat too. You too must be exhausted after such long hours of research.”

At that, Dean remembered Cas’s words before he had died. Before Jack was God, and before Cas had been rescued from The Empty

“Because you cared, I cared. I care about you, I cared about Sam.”

Buttons on a coat
Light-hearted joke.
No proof, not much
But you saw enough

It was December. The air was frosty, and Cas’s cheeks had become pink.

Ever since Jack had rescued him from, he had become more human, even though he had actually retained most of his grace (courtesy of Jack).

So now, while Cas was a strong and brave fighter, who can heal with a touch, he’s also somewhat of a human, who likes the taste of food, loves to sleep, and cares for the people around him (which wasn’t much of a change).

And most of all, he feels. He feels sad, happy, angry, bitter, anxious, and he feels hot and cold, and uncomfortable at times.

So on this day of December, Castiel feels cold.

He shivers as he walks in the park with Dean, who told him humans often engaged in romantic park walks. Who was Cas to disagree with him?

He just wished he had known better what to dress. He was inhis usual suit, pants and beige trench coat, but that cut it anymore. It was too cold.

Dean noticed Cas’s teeth began to clatter in the cold. “Hey, you okay?”

“J-just a bit cold, Dean,” Cas replied, as he hugged himself. “I’m not accustomed to this weather.”

“Here-“ Dean removed his hoodie. He, unlike Cas, was well aware of the weather and had chosen to dress smartly in a lot of layers, even adding an extra hoodie. “Put this on, under your trench coat.”

“Thank you, Dean, but won’t you be cold-?” Cas protested against taking the hoodie. shaking his head.

“I got enough layers. Here, put it on.” Dean replied as he began to pull down the trench coat from Cas’s shoulders.

Cas looked at him gratefully, and shrugged off his trench coat, which Dean took in his hands while Cas put on his hoodie.

After Cas had put it on, Dean helped him put the trench coat on as well. Dean leaned down to even button the trench coat.

“Hey, you snug now?” Dean asked, standing up again and brushing dirt off his jeans. “So bundled up, you look like a baby in a trench coat.” Dean joked light-heartedly.

“Dean.” Cas glared at him halfhearted.

“C’mon, let’s go!” Dean wrapped his arm around Cas’s shoulder, paying no mind to the glare he received.

Small talk, he drives
Coffee at midnight

“So how was Claire?” Dean asks as they drive from Sioux Falls to Lebanon. Cas had gone to visit Claire in Sioux Falls, but his car had broken down midway, so Dean had come to pick him up.

It was midnight as they travelled under the dark sky. Cas felt exhausted and tired, after an entire day of sleeplessness and fatigue.

“She’s fine. She-“ Cas’s words were suddenly interrupted with a yawn. “She was telling me all about her hunts and her relationship with Kaia. They seem happy.”

“That’s nice, buddy,” Dean looked at from his peripheral vision. “You tired?”

“I- Yes.” Cas replied.

Dean suddenly stopped the Impala and looked at the backseat, where a cooler was. He opened it and removed two brown cans. “This is, I guess, canned coffee. Jack bought it last time we were on a drive. Think it’ll do the trick till we reach home to our memory foam?”

Cas took a can from Dean and studied it. It was iced coffee which could apparently be stored like soda. He opened it with a
‘click’ and take a tip of the cold liquid. It was slightly too sweet, but good enough to keep him energized till they reached the bunker.

Dean, who had opened up a can himself and already started chugging, stopped and said, “Good?”

“Thank you, Dean.”

“So tell me what’s up with Jody…”

The light reflects
The chain on your neck

Dean and Cas were sitting in their bedroom. Well, it was Dean’s bedroom. But after they had begun dating, Dean’s bed had quickly become theirs.

“Hey Cas?” Dean put away his phone and called on his boyfriend.

“Yes, Dean?” Cas looked up from his book to match Dean’s eyes.

“Um…so you know how I went out today to get Sammy his hair things? I bought something for you too.”

“Oh? Thank you, Dean. Can I see it?” Cas replied, closing his book and putting it on the bedside table, excitement evident in bright blue eyes.

Dean put his hand in his pocket and pulled a chain. It was silver in colour and shined brightly against the lamp lights. From the end of it, a small dagger dangled. It was smaller than his pink finger, and cold to touch.

“I saw this and thought of you. I think it kinda looks like an angel blade.” Dean said sheepishly.

Cas put it on, and his lips greeted Dean with a long kiss.

And now every time Dean wakes up in the middle of the night, he sees the twinkle of the chain in their dark bedroom because of a nightmare, he feels just a little calmer.

He says, "Look up"
And your shoulders brush
No proof, one touch
But you felt enough

“Hey, angel. Do y’know what star that is?” Dean pointed towards the sky from his spot on the Impala. He and Cas were laying on the bonnet of Baby.

“Of course, Dean. That is Arcturus. The fourth brightest star.” Cas replied.

Dean moved closer, brushing their shoulders together, “And, look, that one?” he asked, pointing at another star.

“That’s Sirius, the brightest star in the sky. I believe it’s also known as the Dog Star.” Cas replied, placing his palm on Dean’s, intertwining their fingers together.

“You really are a nerd, huh?” Dean grinned, turning right to look at his boyfriend.

Cas chuckled, “I suppose. It also helps that I was there when the stars were created. A friend of mine created them, though I don’t remember his name - he questioned God and was turned into a demon quite soon after…”

Dean smiled adoringly, as he watched his angel ramble on.

When Cas stopped talking, Dean leaned his head on his boyfriend’s shoulder and said, “Ramble on, babe.”

You can hear it in the silence, silence, you
You can feel it on the way home, way home, you

They were driving home from a hunt. Dean was sitting on the driver’s seat, Sam beside him and Cas in the back seat.

Cas was asleep. His head was thrown back. His mouth was slightly open. The only sound that could be heard was the sound of his soft breathing.

Dean peeked through the rear view mirror and gazed at his boyfriend sleeping. He thought himself to be lucky to have found a loving boyfriend, a brave little brother. Life was finally on track. He couldn’t help but smile.

He also mouthed a Shut Up at Sam when he felt his teasing smile directed towards him, as they drove on the bumpy road to the bunker.

You can see it with the lights out, lights out
You are in love, true love
You are in love

Castiel was an angel. He did not sleep. However, his boyfriend did. So he spent most nights by Dean’s side, looking over his boyfriend as he lost himself in the land of dreams and peace.

Today, Dean was sleeping on his side, one arm plastered over Castiel’s chest and one under him.

Dean’s mouth was open slightly, and he was softly snoring. Despite his macho, manly man persona, his snores sounded like a cat’s purrs, light and gentle.

Cas had never fallen in love. But the Righteous Man’s soul was such that one could not help it, but fall. Dean’s soul was beautiful and selfless. He was a loyal friend, a caring brother, and a dutiful son- all his life responsibility had become his house, when all the little boy in the man’s body needed, was a home of love.

And if Cas could provide it, he was honoured. Loving Dean was easy, even though the man always tried to make it difficult for others.

“I love you.” Cas whispered in the dark, admiring his boyfriend’s face - the way his eyelashes framed his eyes, the way his sleeping pink lips settled in a pout, the way his face radiated under the soft light of the night lamp.

And when his boyfriend’s body shifted just an inch in response, Cas merely kissed his temples to let him rest all night long.

Morning, his place
Burnt toast, Sunday
You keep his shirt
He keeps his word

On Sunday, Dean woke up, disappointingly, to an empty bed.

Cas’s side of the bed was empty- his blanket was sitting there instead of him, neatly folded.

Dean groaned. His hu- angel heater boyfriend was gone. Probably in the kitchen with his coffee. And now he would have to get up to get up to see his boyfriend.

He absentmindedly put on his grey robe and walked to the kitchen.

He peered through Sam’s bedroom. It was empty, which probably meant he was on his daily jog or something.

When he entered the kitchen, his nose was immediately hit with a bang of the smell of smoke. He was the Cas, standing next to the counter, was removing burnt bread from the toaster, and trying to peel off the burnt bits.

He also noticed Cas was wearing his red flannel shirt, over a pair of his ragged old jeans.

“Hey…Cas?” Dean greeted him questioningly, as he grabbed his ‘Flannel Boy’ mug to pour coffee into from the kettle. He had got the mug from Eileen as a joke, but had wholeheartedly embraced the title.

Cas, who had already sensed Dean, looked up sheepishly and smiled thinly, saying, “Good morning, Dean,” His usual gruff voice was shy and guilty, as he had made a mistake. “I…tried to make you breakfast.” He replied at Dean’s questioning looks.

“Dude, you- you don’t have to do that. And it’s fine you burnt it, man, I’ll have it ‘cause you made it.” Dean replied with a small smile, as he sipped his morning coffee.

“I wanted to, I knew you had a tough time last night.” Cas replied, sheepishly putting a plate with three pieces of toast in front of him.

Dean remembered that last night had been tough. As soon as he had fallen asleep, he had had a nightmare. It was the usual one - Jack was not able to rescue Cas and that Sam had been killed. And like a cherry on top, he even saw himself kill Sam this time.

The nightmare had woken him up, and the first thing he had seen was Castiel’s worried face, doing his mojo thing so that he could fall back asleep peacefully.

“Yeah…Thank you, Cas.” Dean replied, his eyes not quite meeting Castiel’s as he rubbed the back of his neck.

“Dean…if these nightmares are troubling you, I-I could enter your dreams. Make them more pleasant.” Cas replied as he bit a piece of toast, and then made a face at the bitterness.

“Dude, I’m fine. It’s just a couple nightmares sometimes. Don't waste your angel mojo. I promise to tell you things get worse though.” Dean insisted as gulped his coffee and began helping himself to the toast.

“Do you promise to keep your word?” Cas asked in a small voice, clearly worried.

“Yes, Cas. I promise.”

“Dean-“

“Cas, I really don’t wanna talk about it now. Later.” Dean snapped, which shut up Cas instantly, with a hurt look on his face.

“Look, I’m sorry, okay? I’ll tell you if things get worse. Just..don’t- now now, Cas.”

“Okay.” This seemed to assure Cas, as the hurt look slipped off his face.

“By the way, aren’t those my clothes?” Dean asked Cas, desperately trying to change the topic.

“Yes…my trench coat and suit were feeling uncomfortable today. It's warm today,” Cas replied, “I could change into something different if you want?”

“Nah, you look good. Keep them, I don’t mind. But, we really should get you more clothes, huh?” Dean grinned. “Let’s take you shopping today.”

“Alright. Dean.” Cas smiled

And for once, you let go
Of your fears and your ghosts
One step, not much
But it said enough

Dean had always marked the beginning of his relationship with Cas as the time when Cas had confessed to him and then was taken by the Empty.

Of course, he had carried feelings for Cas longer. He had realised them during their second trip to purgatory, but when he had tried to tell Cas, Cas had brushed him off saying he had heard his prayer and knew what he wanted to say.

Dean had then left the topic, more important things were on their way. Feelings could wait. Chuck could not.

He was truly surprised when he learned Cas shared his feelings, but Cas’s confession time angered him. Who says he loves you and then goes to die without getting a reply?!

When Jack had bought back Cas, Dean had been overjoyed. However, he hadn’t had much time to react. Cas first came back to earth when his stupid ass had decided to get impaled by a piece of rebar. Cas had healed him there and then, after which neither had said anything about the confession.

While nothing was said, some things were done. They had settled into domestic bliss. It was unsaid, sure, but they liked each other and it had become obvious. Sam’s teasing didn’t mind him anymore. Sharing a bed wasn’t just for nightmares, it was for doing other activities too. Dates, movies, dinners- they had settled into a relationship.

One thing that seemed to bug Dean was his inability to reply to Cas’s original confession. He still hadn’t said the three little words.

Dean had been raised to be tough. John Winchester wasn’t a father who showed affection or love. He was an authoritative figure, he demanded discipline and rule following. John had hugged him maybe four times? In the last twenty years of John’s life. Saying I love you, son was out of the question.

Up until the last seven-eight years, he had been emotionally distant. Making friends, having a family, it had changed him for the better.

But the ghosts of his past never seem to let go of him. His father would never approve of him going soft. And neither would the conservative approve of his relationship with Cas, who was an angel with a male body. And as ashamed he was to admit it, a part of him was still scared of his father, even after his death.

So his new mission now was, to say ‘I love you’ to Cas, hopefully successfully.

He knew Cas was being incredibly patient with him, letting him lead the relationship. The least he Dean could do was reciprocate Cas’s confession.

So he decided the next step was going to be ‘Mission Say I love you to Cas’, a mouthful, but it worked.

He didn’t exactly have a plan, though. Dean Winchester was going to swing it, go with the flow, just like the most things he did in life.

So, when Cas turned to kiss Dean’s cheek and wished him a good night, Dean merely said, “G’night, Cas. Love you.” He added the last part so casually, one might’ve thought it was just another pleasantry.

At first, Cas didn’t react. He shifted and laid down beside Dean and pulled the covers over him.

Ten seconds passed.

Cas suddenly shot up from his sleeping position and widened his eyes at Dean, who was laying on his side, smirking at Cas.

“Dean?” Cas whispered loudly.

“Yeah?” Dean grinned, mischievously.

And in a second, Cas threw his arms around Dean, nuzzling his face against Dean’s collar bones.

“You said it so…normally. I didn’t…realise,” Cas mumbled against Dean, “I love you, too.”

“It’s the most normal thing to me, Cas.” Dean said, gently, as he pressed a pair of lips against Cas’s messy head.

And for once, Dean let go of his ghosts.

You kiss on sidewalks

“Hello, Dean.”

When Dean turned around upon hearing the familiar voice, he found his face being stuffed with some roses.

He was standing in the front of an electronic store, watching a football match, as his boyfriend shopped next door, in the florist’s shop, apparently looking for some seeds to grow flowers.

Realizing that it was actually yellow flowers he was being presented with, Dean grinned at the angel’s romantic gesture. He wasn’t a flower person, but hey it was the thought that counts.

“Thanks, Cas.” Dean connected his emerald green eyes with Cas’s sapphire ones and leaned down to kiss him.

They were about to connect their lips, when a woman passing by interrupted them, “Excuse me, excuse me - kids coming through!”

Dean and Cas glanced down to see two small kids, holding hands and waddling forward as their mother followed them.

They instantly moved apart to make way.

“We really shouldn’t kiss on the sidewalk.”
Dean muttered, as he pressed a quick peck on Cas’s temple, once the woman and her children were gone.

“It’s alright, Dean. We can kiss all we want at home. I like your kisses.” Cas mentioned casually, as they began to walk back to the Impala.

Hearing those words, Dean melted. His ears reddened and he couldn’t control the curving corners of his lips.

“Oh, Cas. You sap.”

Dean couldn’t wait long enough to reach the bunker, so he could kiss his boyfriend senseless.

You fight and you talk

“I can’t believe you sometimes!” Cas shouted, as Dean closed the door behind them. He had been itching to say the words, to let them out ever since they had left the bar.

“Why can’t you just let it go? It was a mistake, Cas.” Dean replied, clearly frustrated.

“I saw you with the man! You were holding him quite promiscuously.” Cas accused him, his eyes burning with hurt.

“I thought it was you! The guy was wearing a light colored coat and had black hair- I thought it was you. The guy didn't say anything either.” Dean defended himself, staring intently at Cas, his green eyes unmoving from Cas’s blue ones, which seemed to be trying to ignore Dean’s.

Castiel’s eyes narrowed. He remained silent and moved away from Dean, and began to strip down his coat and sit jacket.

“Oh c’mon. Believe me, Cas!” Dean insisted, sitting down on their bed, near where Cas was changing his pants now.

Cas remained silent. His lips were settled in a thin line as he shrugged off his shirt and began pulling on a simple grey shirt.

“Great. Really great. This is just perf-“

“I’m sorry, Dean.” Cas mumbled in a small voice, as he stood in his pajamas in front of Dean. His eyes didn’t leave the floor for a second.

Dean, who was about to snap, instantly paused. He could hear Cas’s broken voice. Was he…crying?

“I’m sorry I didn’t think you were faithful. You must think of me to be so distrustful now. I apologi-“ Cas began to say, when

“Shut up, Cas.” Dean snapped as he stood up and cradled Cas’s face in his arms. He gazed down at his boyfriend’s face; the green eyes which were beginning to appear shinier by the second, “It’s okay. I get it. A misunderstanding happened- whatever. That’s alright. But this is bigger than that.”

Cas stiffened at that. He lowered his face, unable to make eye contact with Dean.

“Cas?” Dean listed up Cas’s chin. “Talk to me, sweetheart. This is bothering you, clearly.” Dean asked him, concerned.

“I- Sometimes I feel as if you're going to leave me again.” Cas mumbled. Dean felt his heart break. He felt guilty. Of course Cas felt that way. He hadn’t really treated him well after Mary’s death. “Being so human - I find these times to be somewhat difficult. Please be patient with me.”

“Cas, I’m sorry,” Dean paused, as Cas tilted his head in confusion.” Really. I had no idea you felt that way. I promise- next time I’m gonna be more careful about who I flirt with at bars. And trust me, it’s gonna be only YOU from now on.”

Cas was silent, but he clearly looked relieved. He wrapped his arms around Dean and buried his head in his shoulders. Warmth and comfort spread over his body as Dean reciprocated his actions.

“Come now, let’s get some shut eye.” Dean broke apart from the hug and walked over to his side of the bed.

“Can we cuddle?”

Dean, who had gotten under the covers, smiled and raised his arms wide. “Always.”

Cas settled himself in Dean’s arms as they drifted off to the land of sleep.

One night he wakes
Strange look on his face
Pauses, then says
You're my best friend
And you knew what it was
He is in love

“I’m afraid you are going to leave me, Dean,” Cas said, his face neutral, and utterly emotionless. “Our relationship has always had bumps, but I can’t have myself hurt every time you realise I’m not enough.”

“C’mon, Cas. You know I love you.” Dean tried to wrap his arms around Cas’s shoulder, to try and assure him.

Cas shook his head “I’m afraid love will ruin our friendship. And I treasure our friendship, Dean.” He shrugged off Dean’s arms, as if dust on his shoulder.

“Cas, we can still try! No relationship is perfect, man. If nothing else, you’ll always be my best friend, Cas,” Dean insisted.

“Cas?”

Cas shook his head, and took a step back. Then one more. And another and then he disappeared into darkness.

Dean woke up with a gasp. He turned to see that his angel was sleeping on his seed, his mouth was slightly open- and you could hear his soft snores.

Dean rested his palms on his head. The dream had been sort of a…warning call.

He and Cas had been dating now for quite a few months now. But, they hadn’t talked about their relationship.

After their disagreement the previous night, he wanted to make sure Cas wasn’t feeling down. He wanted this relationship to last.

And even if…something happened, he was sure their friendship wouldn’t change, right?

“Dean?” Cas suddenly grumbled. His voice was rough, and laced with sleep.

“Go back to sleep, sweetheart.” Dean placed his palm on Cas’s head softly.

“Why- why are you awake?” Cas asked, rubbing his eyes

“Just a…weird dream. It’s nothing, Cas. Really.” Dean insisted, laying back down beside his boyfriend.

Cas groaned a bit, dissatisfied by the answer. But he did not push.

“By the way…you know we’re best friends, right? Like,…it’s important for me to know you know that.” Dean explained, carefully choosing and enunciating each word.

“But you are my boyfriend?” Cas tilted his head and did the eye thing he did when he was confused.

“No, like, we’re both. You are my best friend and you’re my boyfriend and my favourite angel. You know that, right.”

“I know, Dean.” Cas replied. A faint smile was visible in the darkness.

You can hear it in the silence, silence, you
You can feel it on the way home, way home, you
You can see it with the lights out, lights out
You are in love, true love

Sam Winchester was no stranger to love.

He himself had fallen in love before. Jessica Moore, the first love of his life. The person he was going to marry before the terrible fire.

There was also Ruby. He hadn’t loved her. But their relationship was passionate in a way that flames kissed his skin each time they touched. He felt alive, in a way he hadn’t since Jess’s death.

There was also Amelia, who he had spent a complicated year with. The year was filled with grief and loneliness, and his relationship with Amelia was something he wanted to forget, for all the complications it followed when Dean learned of it.

Now, he had Eileen. She was sweet and caring, but she was also brave and fierce. Her sarcasm rivaled his own, and her wit was as good as Dean. He loved her, and she loved him back. And even Dean and Cas seemed to really like her.

And because he was no stranger to love, Sam Winchester would see the love his best friend had for his brother

It was dark, with the exception of the television’s light. They were sitting in the Dean Cave, and they were watching Die Hard. Dean was quite adamant to introduce Cas to the ‘classics’.

Sam was sitting on the arm chair, while Dean and Cas had cuddled up on the recliner together.

Dean had his head on Cas’s shoulder, who was stroking his hair lovingly.

Sam noticed that neither Dean nor Cas were really paying attention to the movie.
Dean was almost on the brink of falling asleep, and Cas was mostly staring at Dean.

Neither noticed Sam’s knowing smile.

And so it goes
You two are dancing in a snow globe, 'round and 'round

While on a shapeshifter case with Sam, Eileen had fractured both of her legs. The doctor had told Sam that she required a month’s bed rest and absolutely no physical exertion.

So now Eileen spent most of her days in bed. While she was bored out of her mind, it was nice to get some rest. She had surprised herself when she declined Cas’s offer on healing her legs.

I think it will be nice to get some rest, She signed. The last year has been really tiring. I died and came back, twice.

Eileen had already, mostly moved into the bunker by then. She had a whole ass closet in Sam’s room- well it was their room now.

She decided to pick up some hobbies as well. She had seen a woman once on a case who made and sold personalised snow globes. She remembered the woman had made several, which lined the shelves of her house. Some had couples, children, even pets. She had been quite intrigued by them then.

She ordered all the material online ( and asked Sam to get some ) and got started with her new project.

She first had the idea of making a simple girl in the snow globe. Easy enough, difficult to mess up. She decided to make the figurines by clay

In the end, she ended up not with a girl, but with a clay figurine of her own boyfriend, which she made into a snow globe.

Sam turned beetroot red when he was presented with it.

Next she decided to make figurines of Dean and Cas, going along with the theme of building her family’s figurines.

She had made two boys, one in red flannel with blond hair, and the second one with a tan trench coat ( which was very difficult to mold) and dark wings and messy hair.

Eileen also installed a motor, so the figurines, which faced each other in the glass globe, were rotating. It was as if they were dancing.

The next day when they were all sat on the kitchen table for breakfast, Eileen presented the snow globe to the older Winchester and the angel.

“Damn, Eileen! That’s…wow.” Dean gawked at the snow globe, holding it out in his hand to admire it.

“Thank you, Eileen.” Cas smiled.

You’re welcome, guys, Eileen signed and grinned at the pair.

“I’m thinking we should put it on the mantle in our room, huh?” Dean asked Cas.

“Yes, we could put it beside the photograph of you, Mary and Sam.” Cas suggested. Dean nodded at him and went to munch a piece of bacon

“Aww, you guys are adorable.” Sam smirked at his brother and Cas.

“Shut up, Bitch.”

“Jerk.”

And he keeps the picture of you in his office downtown

“Hey, Dean. Can I get some money to buy this new flavour of cereal? It’s called Chocolate Churro Munch.” Jack peeped into the Dean Cave and asked Dean, who was watching an episode of Countdown intently.

Jack might be God, but he still got the money from his fathers. He was still 4 years old, after all.

“Sure. Just get me my wallet.” Dean replied absentmindedly, his eyes stuck to the screen as he gripped the remote in his hand.

When Jack returned with Dean’s wallet, after collecting it from his room, Dean was still watching the show.

“Hey, do you think that guy looks like me?” Dean asked, as he took the wallet from Jack.

“Um, no? I don’t think so.” He took the five dollars from Dean. “Than-Hey! Is that Cas as a cowboy?” He grinned as he pointed at the picture in Dean’s wallet.

It was a picture of Cas with a cowboy hat over his usual attire. He had a confused frown on his face and was utterly oblivious to his picture being clicked.

“Yeah! It’s from that case we had in Dodge City. Me and Cas dressed up for the case- ol’ Western style.” Dean grinned as he said the last part in an old Western accent.

“That’s cute. You guys are cute as a couple, Dean.” Jack smiled, sincerely.

“Thanks, kid.”

And you understand now why they lost their minds and fought the wars.

And why I've spent my whole life tryin' to put it into words

'Cause you can hear in the silence
You can feel it on the way home
You can see it with the lights out
You are in love, true love
You are in love

You can hear it in the silence, silence, you
You can feel it on the way home, way home, you
You can see it with the lights out, lights out
You are in love, true love
You are in love
You can hear it in the silence, silence, you
You can feel it on the way home, way home, you
You can see it with the lights out, lights out
You are in love, true love
You are in love
