Nie Huaisang has always been small, many had assumed growing up that he would be an omega, a rare occurrence in the Nie family, but to those peoples surprise and his own he presented as a basic beta. After this life changed, people stop treating him as if he was a delicate thing, and instead called him odd and commented on his weak build even more than before and even harsher, his boyfriend at the time -an alpha- broke up with him because he wasn't an omega and ‘no longer had any use’ and any alpha he confessed to or asked out rejected him, by the time he had reached the final years of college he had already lost all hope of ever finding and alpha who would accept him as he is…
Jiang Cheng had presented young and was known as a harsh mouthed alpha and the future of the Jiang family Corps and its fortune, after his presentation he was constantly pressured to find an omega who he would wed then later have an Heir with and leave run the jiang household while he works as the head of the company, he had grown up in a unique but tradition lead household, where the was family ran by the alpha his mother Yu Ziyuan and he was raised by his Omega Father, Jiang FengMian along side his elder sister Jiang Yanli -An Omega Engaged to that Jin peacock since the day of her presentation- and his adopted Brother (and cousin?) Wei Wuxian -Who presented as an Omega much later than normal causing quite a bit of chaos in the Jiang household and he was engaged to that Lan stone wall afterwards-.
Unlike both his older siblings he had yet to find his own future mate, despite the absence of engagement he still did not have much freedom in his decision. That's not to say he didn't have someone in mind or well, heart it's just.. his parents wouldn't have accepted his chosen lover, not too long after his sister had announced her pregnancy, he confided in his both elder siblings, a soft and rare moment of weakness shared between the three of them, they both comforted him and made a small scheme to help him out though at first, he wasn't told too many details of the plan, he was later given a run down of his part in the plan.
Wei Wuxian started to explain “ First you need to confess, since that's just how these things work, got it?” Jiang Cheng glared at his adopted brother wondering the best way to beat the man without getting turned to stone by Lan Wangji's glare.
Wei Wuxian Continued without a reply encouraged by Jiang Yanli's small giggle “Then, its a secret or at least to the public and your parents, and whoever else you want i don't know… but then once you finish college and after the celebrations and all that chaos that results in you taking over the business.” The idiot dictated his speech while waving his hands around in a mock of puppeting a drama.
“Then you announce your relationship!” a dramatic pause before the dork starts once more again after his sister laughed at his performance.
“By that point, if you parents confront you, which they most likely will and if Madam Yu threatens you both to break up, then you should say ‘ This is my one true love i don't need you to rule my future’ and that if need be you can either adopt … or make someone else your heir blah blah blah” Wei Wuxian points at him “Got it?”
The silence afterwards gives their sister a chance to break out into a strong laugh before she quietens down and covers her smirk before looking towards Jiang Cheng for his answer.
He lets out a sigh before nodding his head accepting his fate, "You speak as if the confession bit is the easiest part.”
Wei Wuxian looks as if he was expecting this Question and hands him a piece of paper, “We spoke about this for a while but agreed you should try asking someone else who might have a better idea, on that paper is Nie Mingjues Phone number, the best Person you could ask!”

A few weeks later both Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng were invited by Nie Huaisang to one of his super popular college parties. They both arrived together and greeted Nie Huaisang at the door stepping inside just before breaking into conversion about almost everything and anything, including a few bits of juicy gossip from the beta, but after a few minutes Wei Wuxian excuses himself saying that he's going to go hunt down his fiancé whom should have arrived not too long ago leaving Jiang Cheng with Nie Huaisang and offering wink, a wave as he runs off.
The silence is awkward at first but Jiang Cheng breaks it and ends the staring contest by suggesting they go get some drinks together from the elder Nies home bar, tucked inside one of the separate buildings on the Nie property.
They both sit and order their preferred drinks, a neat margarita for Nie Huaisang and a Grape vodka for Jiang Cheng after awhile of small talk and a few giggles from the young Nie, Jiang Cheng turns towards the beta pulling out a small gift box, Nie Huaisang looks at it confused and looks up at the alpha with a questioning look, Jiang Cheng ‘shyly’ (in his own way) pushes towards Nie Huaisang offering him the box, Nie Huaisang is confused but accepts it with a small smile and opens the box to reveal a set of beautiful braiding beads with lotuses engraved into them.
Nie Huaisang is torn between shock and happiness, Jiang Cheng has given him a Traditional Nie courting gift but there is no way the alpha would want him a beta, it's probably a mistake or maybe he doesn't even know the true meaning behind giving a Nie family member something like this. Instead of continuing on with his mental crash, he thanks the man for the gift giving its craftsmanship and beauty many praises. Jiang Cheng interrupts Nie Huaisang's spiralling thoughts by asking if he accepts leaving Nie Huaisang confused, who then asks “accept what?” Assuming he missed Jiang Cheng's words in his wandering. Jiang Cheng says nothing for a bit then tells the beta “it doesn't matter.” before rising up and claiming he is going to go off and try to find Wei Wuxian.
Later on
Wei Wuxian finds Nie Huaisang with a group of other college students, a Bloody Mary in hand, Wei Wuxian asks to talk to Nie Huaisang in private, away from the busy crowd Nie Huaisang turns to the omega confused but assumes he's got something interesting to tell him. While they leave the crowds of students he questions but Wei Wuxian he merely answers with a smirk and says a simple “maybe, it depends” ending with a shrug.
Once away from the noise of the party tucked behind a corner, Nie Huaisang turns a confused look towards Wei Wuxian, points at a chair and says he might need to sit down for this.
Nie Huaisang sits down and the chair which faces the one chosen by the omega who starts by asking how he's enjoying the night before his voice changes from his normal light tone to a more serious one and he lets at a ‘hmm’ before pointing out the box Nie Huaisang is holding and asking him about it.
Nie Huaisang looks down at the box he's holding in his hand, the other still has his almost finished drink “Ahh, Jiang Cheng gave it to me.” He turns his head to the side, missing his prize fans and mourning his inability to cover his flushed face.
Wei Wuxian lets out one of his classic Smirks before replying “ohh so you're the lucky person?”
Nie Huaisang lets out a stutter “W-What do you mean?”
Wei Wuxian held his stomach letting out a loud laugh pointing out an accusatory finger at the dumbfounded beta “HAHaha, and you all called me oblivious!”
“Heh? W-what do you- no what.. He wouldn't, does he actually?” Nie Huaisang coughs out
Wei Wuxian raises his gaze towards the beta a softer look on his face now before putting on a comforting smile and giving a small nod to the shaken Nie
Nie Huaisang jumps up yelling “Wait i just… I have got to go see Jiang Cheng NOW!”
The beta flees from the room running as fast as he could leaving a giggling Wei Wuxian who steps out after the Nie Huaisang is long gone and sees his own boyfriend and finance approaching him, he spots the look on the man's face “Come on Lan Zhan, its been a long time coming… ,don't look at me like that!’ Wei Wuxian pouts ಥ_ಥ

Nie Huaisang came flying out of the hidden area Wei Wuxian had chosen to dump so much on him at once.. Too much! Nie Huaisang spots Jiang Cheng off to the side with what looked like his usual Grape and Vodka in hand. Jiang Cheng must feel the betas eyes on him since he looks up back at him his expression grew shocked as he noticed Nie Huaisang running towards him.
Nie Huaisang grabs Jiang Cheng's arm and drags him towards the quieter area of the large garden, he released his tight grip on the others arm and turned to face the alpha trying to speak but cant since he still hasn't caught his breath, once he finishes huffing he still does not speak and the silence that follows is incredibly awkward once more. Nie Huaisang takes a deep breath before he starts speaking, praying that he doesn't choke on his words, “I umm just came back from an… Enlightening conversation…” Jiang Cheng just looks at Nie Huaisang confused, thinking he's about to hear some random gossip he's not in the mood for but then the beta continues speaking, “I spoke to … Wei Wuxian and… Jiang Cheng?, you i-i do you actually…”
Nie Huaisang takes in a breath, ”Are you aware of what gifting braid beads means in the Nie family?”
Jiang Cheng takes in a deep breath before replying “i didnt know how else to- ,Wei wuxian suggested i-i ask your brother for an idea.”, Jiang Cheng face lights up slightly with a small smile, "He stared me down and interrogated me for a good while but after a few questions he told me the story behind the Nie braids and their meaning to the family members, he suggested i get you something lik-” Jiang Cheng lets out a gasp as he registers the weight clinging onto him, the second he processes what's going on he moves to hold onto the beta clinging onto his front side.
Nie Huaisang is clinging and crying into Jiang Cheng's neck shouting “Yes! Yes! I accept, i love you i have loved you for so long i thought you would never because im a..” Jiang Cheng tights his hold on the Nie before he could finish his sentence “Nothing could stop me from loving you, no matter secondary gender or tradition, i will fight them all to have you by my side.” Jiang Cheng exposes his neck allowing Nie Huaisang to shove his face into the comforting area to be surrounded by the Alphas scent.
Both the Elder Nie brother, Nie Mingjue and Wei Wuxian stand off to the side hidden by the shadows of the dark sky. They look towards each other and nod before returning to their respective lan lovers, Wei Wuxian pulls out his phone and quickly snaps a photo of Nie Huaisang and Jiang Chengs embrace and sends it to Jiang Yanli with the caption ‘Mission complete’
He looks back up from his phone and sees that the couples once innocent hugging is now a messy and passionate kissing session, and with that scene haunting his soul forever he flees the area running towards where he left his beautiful Lan Zhan hoping the man's heavenly face will help purify his eyes
