Izuku couldn’t sleep that night. Not well at least. The weather had gone bad, leaving thunder to shake the walls of their little apartment. Chizome had left hours ago, and Izuku had already tried getting sleep in his guardian’s futon already. It hadn’t worked…
The boy let out a soft sigh as he pushed himself up from the ground. He threw on a rain jacket they had gotten in Hosu before leaving the apartment, his keys in his pocket. Wrapped in the plastic-like fabric of his jacket, Izuku sat in the pouring rain on the roof. He watched as distant lighting struck, it’s thunder rumbling through the moist air.
He sat there for a long while, his mind wandering as he was soaked in the rain. He’d probably get sick…but this was better than staring at the ceiling. That was…until he spotted movement on another rooftop. A flash of purple had caught his eye. He squinted trying to make out the figure before his eyes widened. He could see two metal sticks in the figure’s hands. Purple…and metal sticks.
‘Holy shit…’ He stood up and walked closer to the edge of the roof. ‘That’s Wisteria…’
Izuku was stunned still for a moment before his senses came to him. It probably wasn’t a good idea to be sitting on a roof in the middle of a thunderstorm. Let alone while a hero was out patrolling. As cool as it was that one of his favorite heroes was nearby, he wasn’t stupid. This could get dangerous…it was best he head back inside and dry off.
And so he did. Though…not without taking a quick photo on his phone. Now he looked at the dark image on his screen with a bright smile as he sat wrapped in a towel. That was so worth the potential sickness. Maybe he’d start sitting out at night more often.
