My Hero: Shadow Realm

Summary:

After finding a black jewel, Izuku having been rejected from UA. Finds himself transported to a realm of shadows and finds the inhabitants who have been trapped there for centuries. If he can’t be a hero, he might as well be a villain.

Chapter 1

Walking on the beach that he used to train for the exams to enter UA. Before he received the rejection letter, even after he made the points to get in, all because he didn’t have a quirk.

He had found a black gem on the beach and when he picked it up, he just found himself here.

Izuku awoke to find himself somewhere, dark, not that it was night, there wasn’t any stars or clouds in the sky or any form of light that he could see, but he could see see somehow. Looking around the place he found himself, looks like a mix of different ancient building styles. Like someone had made the buildings using the designs not only from ancient Japan but also other Asian cultures.

The entire area is empty, just empty buildings and darkness is what Izuku found as he wandered around looking for anyone. Then once he reached a wide main road of the city, Izuku could make out a massive building in the distance, one that has a blue light coming from it. The light came from blue fire that lit up the building that looks like a castle, Izuku headed for the building hoping that someone is there. Unaware that he’s being watched from the darkness, that disappeared when he looks in their direction.

Palace -

In the throne room of the palace the leaders had gathered, word had already spread of the human male who suddenly showed up. They have been waiting for centuries for someone to find the jewel and reopen the gateway to the human world. They been trapped in the world of darkness the Shadow Realm, since the last holder of the gem was slain and all of them were sucked into the shadow realm.

They have been called many things over the centuries but they only call themselves the Shadowkhan. Able to move through shadows and become one with darkness, they once roam the human world, till a gathering of powerful magic users banded together to seal them away into the Shadow Realm using a black jewel as the gateway. They are able to peak into the human realm when the conditions are right, watching from the shadows, feeding on the emotions of humans. Mainly fear as they’re the source of childhood fears of monsters under the bed, ghosts and things people see in the dark that vanish when the lights are turned on. Learning of the human world and how much things changed since they were freed. (1)

The Shadowkhan are made up of different tribes all of the, females, with a queen leading each of the tribe who creates more of them using their magic. They do so by gathering energy from feeding off of emotions, life energy, or from a source of energy that allows them to bring out new Shadowkhans from shadows. Without energy they slowly fade away, which they would had done centuries ago, but were saved by the coming of their new queen.

Hailing from another world, banished by her sister using powerful magical items the Elements of Harmony. Instead of being banished to the moon, she instead ended up the shadow realm where the dying shadowkhans found her. While she herself was trapped like them, her dream walking ability allowed the shadowkhans to enter human dreams and feed upon their emotions from their dreams, from pleasure to suffering.

Sitting on the throne is Nightmare Moon, a titan of a woman standing over 10 feet tall with black skin, with a very muscular built with a curvaceous body. Her long dark blue hair flowed well past her shapely butt, and like her face is both beautiful and cold. Her massive cleavage is exposed by a circular window in her dark blue dress, and the hems of her skirt went far up her thighs, revealing the sides of her powerful legs. She has massive black bird like wings on her back and a silver unicorn horn on her forehead.

Two young women stood on either side of her. Both look to be sisters, twins in fact as they have the same body type and looks. Tall, with wide powerful shoulders that help them carry their large breasts, same pale blue eyes and facial features.

The first looks like a female demon with bat-like wings on her back and has red skin, that matches her long red hair that has a yellow strip making it look like bacon with a dark red horn on her forehead, she also has pointy fangs. She has red/black boots and wears a short red/black dress that looks torn from the bottom and the top. On her dress, she has a black horizontal stripe around the chest area of the dress that looks torn as well.

The other looks like an angel with glowing yellow wings that matches the horn on her forehead, she has long red hair that has a yellow strip making it look like bacon like the demon. She’s wearing a short dress, that’s light pink on the top with two flaps going down on the sides of her hips, and a white bottom. She’s wearing white fingerless gloves and red boots that have wings on them.

The twins who take the appearances of a demon and an angel, Daymare and Daydream. They were once Sunset Shimmer the daughter of Nightmare Moon’s sister Celestia who she banished for disobedience. She ran into a magic mirror that sent her to a human world, where she planed on her revenge. She stole the element of magic in the form of a crown, but the student of her mother along with some girls of the human world used the magic of the crown on her. But instead of making her good, instead it split her in two and sent her to the shadow realm. Where her aunt found her nieces and took them in.

The demon is Sunmare, who is more aggressive and prone to violence. The angel is Daydream, she’s more gentle and compassionate. While being completely opposite of each other they love each other and their aunt deeply.

There are 10 tribes of the Shadowkhan, which each of their queens are in the throne room. All the Shadowkhan take the form of blue skin buxom human woman with dark hair, but each tribe has a different trait from the other. All of them are able to travel fast by using shadows and when killed, they puff into smoke.

Ninja Khan, the baseline of the shadowkhans, they use traditional ninja weapons. Masters of the ninja arts, able to get in and out without noise or be noticed.

Their queen is Jade, the former queen of the shadowkhans. She is a blue skin slender buxom woman with short black hair. She wears black robes that covers her body but for her head and hands. She is a powerful magic user.

Needle Khan, they are armed with brace over their right hands with syringes that extended over their fingers. They can either inject a chemical into their victims with many different effects, from knocking them out to outright killing them, or draining them of their blood like a vampire.

Their queen is Shizuka, she is very tall buxom woman with ridiculous curves, and her physique is most pronounced by her humongous breasts. She has waist-length blonde hair that has several bangs coming down into her face, two bangs come down at the sides running all the way down that also frames her face and hazel eyes. She wears the same uniform as her tribeswomen and uses the same syringe gauntlet. She’s an airhead but those who take her lightly, don’t get second chances. (Highschool of the Dead)

Crow Khan, they have black feathered wings on their backs allowing them to fly. They are able to fire blast of energy from their hands.

Their queen is Camyu, a buxom woman with black wings like the rest of her tribe. She has short light blue hair and blue eyes. (Utawarerumono)

Oni Khan, the largest and strongest of the tribes. Standing at over 9 feet tall, very muscular in built. They’re armed with kanabos, and wear heavy armor that makes them very durable to the point where it takes a lot of power just to harm them.

Their queen is Tionishia, she stands at over 10 feet tall with tan skin and long flowing blonde hair. She has fangs, and very large breasts at S cups. One of her most noticeable physical features is a single large red horn in her forehead, which connects directly to her skull. (Monster Musume)

Samurai Khan, they wear samurai armor and wield katanas. Masters of the martial arts, ready to die for their queen and for their fellow shadowkhans.

Their queen is Apollyon, a tall and powerful warrior. She’s covered from head to toe in black armor and wears a helmet with a skull face plate. She fight with the ōdachi. A longer version of the classic katana, which she uses to cleave her enemies in a few elegant and powerful strikes. She strive for perfection, never expecting to reach it. (For Honor)

Scylla Khan, the upper half of their bodies are that of a female humanoid and the lower half is that of an octopus. They are boneless and are able to squeeze themselves in small spaces. They are more at home in water.

The queen is Octo, whose appearance is different from the rest of her tribe, with tentacles acting as her legs from her hips down and is very buxom. Her hair are smaller tentacles, with two larger ones draping over the sides of her face. Her eyes seem to be without pupils at a distance, but in fact have fat horizontal pupils, not unlike octopus eyes. Octo's skin color is a purplish shade of blue, though her tentacles are a much darker purple, with her hair starting out closer to white before darkening as they go further down. (Monster Musume)

Scorpion Khan, they have claws instead of hands, human legs, 4 scorpion legs coming out from their lower back that helps them scale most surfaces, and a long scorpion tail that injects paralyzing prison.

Their queen is Serqet, a tall and powerfully built woman. She has normal hands instead of claws, looks human with short brown hair but for her scorpion tail and two pincer-like blades covering her hands. She wears a black leotard that shows off her buxom body. (Smith)

Leech Khan, they are able to scale any surface and crawl on ceilings. They also wear hooded black sleeveless jackets, instead of covering their heads like the other tribes. They do so, to allow them to latch onto victims with their fang mouths and suck up blood as well as energy.

Their queen is Six, a buxom woman that her dark jacket doesn’t hide. She has short black hair that she reveals the few times that she lowers her hood. She doesn’t need to latch her mouth onto victims to suck them dry, all she has to do is inhale and if they’re in her range she can suck all of their energy out of them. She can also inhale other sources of energy, that makes her stronger each time she does so. (Little Nightmares)

Mystic Khan, the magic users of the tribes, they wear black cloaks and wide brim straw hats. They are able to open portals allowing more shadowkhans to show up in a given area. The more there are, more powerful the spells they are able to cast.

Their queen is Raven, a buxom woman who wears a black hooded cloak. Underneath she wears a black leotard that hugs her buxom figure. (Teen Titans)

Swarm Khan, the weakest of the tribes but are the most numerous. Taking less energy to make then other tribes, 10 created for every one of the other tribes. They simply overwhelm targets with sheer weight of numbers. They also are able to produce countless shurikens and kunais that they can rapidly throw at targets.

Their queen is Yuffie, who has short black hair and dark brown eyes. She wears a green, sleeveless turtleneck jumper that bares her midriff and a pair of tan shorts with no belt and an unbuttoned/unzipped fly. Over her left arm, she wears a protective gauntlet that originates from a single pauldron over her shoulder, presumably meant to also act as a shield. The gauntlet is held in place via a strap tied across her chest and around her back. Ninja-mail mesh covers part of her right arm and left leg and an additional piece of armor covers the rest of the thigh. She wears a smaller wrist-covering gauntlet on her right arm, orange fingerless gloves, and orange sneakers with white leg warmers. Her weapon of choice is the large 4-Point Shuriken, though she also has a pair of kunai knives tied to the ends of the headband to hang down her back. (Final Fantasy 7)

“A young human male has found the jewel and is heading here right now,” Nightmare Moon said to the assembled queens.

Nightmare Moon summons an orb that shows Izuku walking towards the palace.

“A new master to serve,” Raven huffed.

“Using us as footsoldiers and sex slaves,” Jade said.

“Unlike before we’re not Shadowkhan and don’t have to obey him,” Sunmare pointed out. “We can just kill him and take the jewel. Aunty will be able to free all of us with it.”

“Sister let’s see what he’s like first,” Daydream said.

“Your sister is right, she’ll go and greet him and see into his mind. If he’s easily persuaded to follow what we say, he might be useful to keep around. If he’s just a male pig, like the last holder of the jewel. I’ll rip out his tongue, take the jewel and you all can eat him alive as he can’t give you any orders,” Nightmare Moon said causing the Shadowkhan queens to grin. It been such a long time since they gotten to eat real meat.

1 - The shadow jewel can release the Shadowkhan by the one who finds it, becoming the master of the Shadowkhans. With all of the Shadowkhan being unable to disobey any orders from the one who wields the jewel and can put them back whenever they want. The owner can release as many of the Shadowkhan as they want with the only limit being how many they can summon at a time. But once the user is killed, all the Shadowkhans are suck back into the shadow realm.

Chapter 2

Inside a police station in Musutafu City, Nezu was called in to help deal with a baffling case that has been happening all around Japan. At ancient shrines and places of worship, strange lights were seen before the they were destroyed. Which when mark on a map of Japan, would form a circle, 9 shrines and places of worship were already destroyed. 7 of the destroyed shrines were in abandon villages and towns that just lost their population or where in in isolated places that no one visited anymore. But 2 were in populated towns and the shrine workers and people when the strange lights happen, all just disappeared.

The reason why Nezu and the police knows that the shrines are connected, was that they were given emails by one Izuku Midoriya. He claimed he had found a black jewel on the Musutafu beach which he had stepped on drawing blood. His blood had unlocked the magical seal that had kept the Shadowkhan tribes imprisoned. And while only a few of them had escape the Shadow Realm for now, the shrines that were used to create the binding ritual in the first place if all destroyed by the Shadowkhan would allow the rest of them to escape. The only way to stop them, was to destroy the shrines first, before the Shadowkhan could do their ritual.

Izuku was arrested as he was trying to burn down the shrine that was in the city. After he was arrested the shrine and the people there were all gone. And is now sitting across the table where Nezu is sitting at.

“I keep telling you what happen and you all think I’m lying,” Izuku said.

“It is a far fetch story,” Nezu said.

“Why are you even here? Shouldn’t you be enjoying the suffering of children?” Izuku asks.

“I’m no longer teaching and working with the police now,” Nezu said.

“So that’s what happen to you after UA was destroyed during the war with the League of Villains,” Izuku said. (1)

“Yes and what you said would happen is happening,” Nezu said pointing to the map on the table that showed the destroyed shrines.

“It’s the Shadowkhans as I said before. I was burning down the shrine to keep them from completing the ritual. And now it’s too late to stop them. There was only 1 shrine left and with them being able to travel by any shadow, the tribes will all be freed,” Izuku said.

“Yes and you contacted everyone you could. Even being escorted out of some agencies and stations before you tried to set the shrine on fire,” Nezu said.

“If even one of the shrines were destroyed before hand the ritual would had been stopped, but now it’s too late now. As I said would happen the moon has eclipsed the sun, sending the world into twilight and people are finally looking to the crazy person who said all of this was going to happen,” Izuku said.

“Yes,” Nezu said.

Outside the station the moon has eclipsed the sun, casting the entire world into twilight. People that Izuku had talked to about the Shadowkhan have began telling others about what he told them and it spread fast. Panic has spread as people began looking up anything they could about the Shadowkhan.

According to old folk tales and records, in the ancient past of Asia. A black jewel would often fall into the hands of warlords and magic uses, that would call upon an army of powerful female demons that would do the bidding of whoever wielded the jewel. The last recorded of it was in Japan where a lord tried to conquer all of Japan with the army of female demons, but was lost at sea. Which according to Izuku was the chi magic users at the time sealing away the Shadowkhan into the jewel, which also sank the ship.

The reason why the Shadowkhan are moving freely is because at first he had no idea who they were and just gave the jewel to them. No longer bond to the will of the one holding the jewel, the Shadowkhan are doing what they wanted. And they want to be free, being able to feed freely on the emotions of humans. They are the source of childhood fears, being able to enter the dreams of humans and feed on emotions. Mainly pleasure and fear.

Izuku learned all that while in the Shadow Realm before he managed to escape and warn everyone what was coming.

“We need to know what we’re facing,” Nezu said.

“I already told you people. Besides the only way to seal them at this point is either by master chi magic users banding together like last time. Or for me to defeat each of the queens of the tribes to make them submit to my will and I can control them,” Izuku said.

“Why you?” Nezu asks.

“Because, I’m the one who let them out,” Izuku said.

The roof of the police station suddenly was ripped off and a figure was flying in the darkened sky above.

Nezu looks up making out a titan of a woman standing over 10 feet tall with black skin, with a very muscular built with a curvaceous body. Her long dark blue hair flowed well past her shapely butt, and like her face is both beautiful and cold. Her massive Q cup cleavage is exposed by a circular window in her dark blue dress, and the hems of her skirt went far up her thighs, revealing the sides of her powerful legs. She has massive black bird like wings on her back and a silver unicorn horn on her forehead.

“Izuku, there you are,” the woman said looking down.

“Nightmare Moon, the queen of Shadowkhans,” Izuku said looking up.

Izuku was lifted out of the chair he was on flying into the air and into a dark purple portal that open in the air. Nightmare Moon flew into the portal that closed behind her, not before giving Nezu a cruel smile as if saying that the last chance they had was now gone. Leaving a panic crowd below her, wondering what had just happened.

A month earlier -

Izuku has been walking for what seem to be hours, heading for the massive building before him. The blue light from the massive building is the only light in the otherwise lightless city. The only other light came from his iPhone that he pulled out and turned on the flashlight feature. He had tried to make a call but had no signal.

As Izuku walk he would see something in the shadows inside the buildings now and then but he didn’t dare to enter. He felt like he’s being watched but whoever is watching him, was staying out of his sight. Then he saw a glow of light from around a corner to the right of the crossroad he’s coming to, turning the corner he hopes it’s someone else.

It is someone else, a young woman who looks like an angel with glowing yellow wings that matches the horn on her forehead, she has long red hair that has a yellow strip making it look like bacon. She’s wearing a short dress, that’s light pink on the top with two flaps going down on the sides of her hips, and a white bottom. The top straining to contain her H cups, her wide hips and large butt stretch the lower half. She’s also wearing white fingerless gloves and red boots that have wings on them. She is beautiful, with flawless features that just puts Izuku into a trance. The glow of light is coming from her glowing horn.

“It’s been a long time since someone has come here,” the woman said.

“I really don’t know how I got here. I’m Izuku Midoriya,” Izuku said.

“I'm Daydream. How did you get here?” Daydream asks.

“I found this jewel while walking on the beach and found myself here,” Izuku said showing her the jewel.

“You just found it? On a beach?” Daydream asks.

“Yes, I just found it and it glowed and I found myself here. Do you know what it is?” Izuku asks giving her the jewel.

“You don’t know what it is?” Daydream asks holding the jewel.

“No, is it a teleporting magical crystal?” Izuku asks.

“Take my hand and I can take you to the palace and I can answer all of your questions on the way,” Daydream said holding out her free hand.

“Alright,” Izuku said taking Daydream’s left and unknowing allowing his mind be read by Daydream’s power. It doesn’t matter the mental defenses someone has, once she has physical contact with someone, she can read their minds like a book. And she saw everything.

The Palace -

Meanwhile at the palace, thanks to her mental link with her sister, Sunmare is able to see and feel whatever is happening to her sister when each of them. Which is allowing her and the others to listen on in what’s happening between Izuku and Daydream. (2)

“He has no clue what he found or just gave away,” Nightmare Moon said using her magic to link everyone’s minds together to see Izuku’s memories.

“Izuku is also one of the rare quirkless people born nowadays. He tried to be a hero but the UA school rejected him because of that. He’s been drifting from one job to another since then,” Jade said.

“He has a sharp mind, he analyzed all the pro heroes quirks, skilled, strengths, and weaknesses,” Apollyon said seeing the tactical mind that the staff of the school had dismissed.

“The poor dear had no one believing in him or allowing him to even try. His hero told him that without a quirk he couldn’t be a hero,” Shizuka adds.

“When we’re out, let’s go and kill him,” Camyu said.

“I have an idea, in how to use this. Make all of Japan fall into despair to feed us,” Yuffie said and shared the plan with all of them through the mind link.

“Yuffie you been watching way too much anime,” Sunmare said, thanks to her aunt’s dream power they can watch animes and read manga from the memories of the dreamer.

“Well it should work,” Yuffie said.

“But we need Izuku to play his part,” Serqet said.

“Shouldn’t be a problem. He doesn’t have anyone in his life he cares about, not for a very long time,” Octo said.

“We just be truthful to him and see how he reacts,” Tionishia said.

“Years of living in poverty for years and has long since lost any semblance of respect for heroes,” Shizuka adds.

“So many dark thoughts have built up inside of him,” Raven said looking into Izuku’s mind and seeing the darkness that has been created by the quirk first society of Japan.

“We can just eat him if he doesn’t,” Six said.

“No, I have a better plan, to get him fully on our side,” Sunmare said.

Present -

Standing between Daydream and Sunmare, Izuku’s eyes widen before narrowing as his memories were returned to him. As Sunmare had told him, as a quirkless person, Japan doesn’t see him as anything of value. Which was why he agreed to this little test, where he be the lone person who knows what’s happening and sees if the heroes he use to idolized would believe him.

“What do you want to do now?” Nightmare Moon asks him.

Izuku looks at the others in the throne room before turning to Nightmare Moon.

“Time to conquer Japan,” Izuku said as the last lingering shreds of being a heroic person was now gone from him.

Notes:

1 - The story takes place years after the cannon events of the manga. Izuku is now 18 and some named characters are now dead.

2 - Daydream and Sunmare has the whole twin thing going between them, where they can experience everything that the other is experiencing whenever they want. Making it impossible to ever just take out or capture one without the other coming to their sister’s aid.

Chapter 3

!

Across Japan, every major city, port, airport, depot, power plant, data centers, service farms, and the Japan stock exchange fell under attack. The Shadowkhans in their hundreds attacks the different places of Japan’s vital infrastructure all at once, using all the members of the tribes at once. They destroyed everything, setting fires or causing explosions that takes out the infrastructure or destroyed the supplies within the structure. Then they all vanished into the shadows, as quickly as they came.

That was a month ago and Japan has quickly fell into chaos. With all the major power plants destroyed the nation’s power grid was spotty with the power plants and dam, doing what they can to provide power. With the planet still in eternal twilight, solar power was useless and wind farms do provide power but not enough to cover the lost power plants.

The depots that contained the food, medicine, and other vital supplies were destroyed or taken. The major airports and ports all destroyed, the runways and the towers destroyed, the docks and harbors full of wreckages. Closing off Japan from the rest of the world with only the smaller ports and airports left to fill in, that either couldn’t handle the number of planes and ships, or simply couldn’t fit them for their runways or ports.

All the major data centers and service farms were destroyed, along with all the major cell towers, bringing down the internet for all of Japan. Causing widespread panic and chaos as people just never had to lived a life without being able to use the internet. Not to mention all the devices that need the internet to be able to function. (1)

And with the stock market of Japan attack, along with the smaller stock markets in other cities, and all the computer servers destroyed. Stock trading in Japan had ground to a halt, causing the markets to crash. A bank run soon followed, with banks having to closed to keep from foreclosing. Compounding all the other disasters that have befallen the island nation, causing riots over the limited supplies that are left.

For the rest of the word, the effects of what’s happening to Japan is the least of their worries. The month long twilight where it’s not completely day or night, has started to affect crops all over the world, as well as animals. Without the day and night cycle, the plant growth is stunting or dying. Those with the right quirks are doing what they can to help out but without the return of the sun, the world would die.

UN -

Research into the Shadowkhan became the top priority of all intelligence agencies around the world, all working together to find anything about them. They’re looking everywhere for any information, and how to defeat them. Their biggest source of information was taken by the queen of the Shadowkhan who showed up to capture Izuku Midoriya, herself which also started the attack across Japan.

The apartment of Izuku Midoriya, was found to be completely destroyed in a fire, that also destroyed the entire apartment complex. Leaving only the clues he gave out to the authorities before he was arrested trying to burn down one of the shrines that were used to release the Shadowkhan. Which no one believed and the files he had sent were toss away or deleted by then, as a month had passed before the shrines began to be destroyed.

The only one who had kept the files was Inko Midoriya, his mother who he had sent a file to help her prepare for the Shadowkhans. But her apartment was ransacked during a riot and the files was lost. With the only information that Inko has to offer is from memory alone. She like everyone else hadn’t believed in him and now he was gone after he had tried to saved everyone.

Luckily, Izuku cell mate, Shino Dia, had learned about the Shadowkhan while sharing the cell with him. He was willing to share what he knows for a full pardon. Which Japan authorities had no choice but to give under mounting pressure from the international community, after word about Izuku’s warning that went unanswered came out.

The shrines that were destroyed each drew power from an element, earth, fire, water, wind, sky, mountain, thunder, moon, star, and magic. Which according to Izuku were used to seal the Shadowkhan away the last time someone had used the black jewel. According to the stories, the Shadowkhans would all be suck into the shadow realm once the one who used it last was killed. But since Izuku had freely given the jewel to them as he had just thought them to be just human women with quirks that made them look that way. That’s no longer the case, with the Shadowkhan now free of control of anyone.

The Shadowkhan can be destroyed but doing so will only cause them to poof away into smoke, where they will reform in the shadow realm, sooner or later. More of them are created by the energy they collect from the emotions or sources of energy from living things, it also what they feed upon to live. If they’re locked away long enough in the shadow realm without feeding they will fade and die. Which is why the chi magic users of Japan at the time had banded together to seal them all away while their master at the time was out at sea. So that the black jewel would be lost long enough for all the Shadowkhan to die off. But thanks to Izuku’s stepping on the black jewel and spilling blood on it, brought the few remaining Shadowkhans back to full strength.

It’s the reason why the eternal twilight and the ruination of Japan. So that the Shadowkhan be able to feast on the heighten emotions released from all of the people of Japan. It’s also the reason why they haven’t showed themselves since, they have no reason to as they’re feeding well enough as it is. And that there aren’t any magic users left in the world of any real talent who could cause them trouble for them to bother.

Without Izuku who was the only one who could defeat them and make them submit to his will. The only other way to defeat the Shadowkhans is to use magic against them. But magic isn’t something that could just be learn quickly, and that only those who are quirkless could learn and use magic.

Causing many governments to start to look into magic and finding those who are quirkless to learn. All go them looking into the background of the priests and priestesses that use to run the shrines that were destroyed. Hopefully their bloodline was still around and the new generation can do what their ancestors had done before.

Shadow Realm -

From her throne room, Nightmare Moon watched as many agencies around the world researching magic. The battle in Paris, was costly as many heroes, soldiers, and police, as well as civilians were killed. But many more were missing, having been taken back into the Shadow Realm. The dead and missing is still being counted, but to many it was worth it with the return of the sun.

“Besides, I planted seeds that may grow later,” Nightmare Moon said.

“What do you mean?” Jade asks.

“As I said. Chloe had all the reasons to switch sides like Shadow Moon. By remaining friendly with her, if someone does something that causes her to question why she’s fighting for that side, she might start looking to use to join instead,” Nightmare Moon said.

“You think she would switch sides like me?” Shadow Moon asks.

“She may in the future, and it won’t be any of our doing. One thing, I can count on, is that there will always be someone in a position of power who shouldn’t be and be around her to question why she’s fighting for people like them,” Nightmare Moon said. (2)

1 - Depending on how they are killed, is the amount of time it will take for Shadowkhans to reform. They are functionally invincible as any fatal injury simply sends them back to the Shadow Realm to reform. But they can only do so as long as the queens are around and they have the energy to do so. The only ways to permanently beat them are to either magically seal them away, kill all the queens and khans at once, seal them away in the Shadow Realm to starve them.

2 - Very common thing that happens, a jerk who shouldn’t be around someone who is very important and just makes things harder. Like Fudge in Harry Potter.

Chapter 11

Inside his office, Nezu is looking over all the after action reports and footage during the Notre-Dame event in Paris. He’s been gathering data on the queens of the Shadowkhan. All of them were in the city each leading their own tribes during the early part of the battle, before their queen Nightmare Moon had destroyed the cathedral by dropping 6 cargo freighters on the ancient building.

According to ancient text and stories, there is no mention of Nightmare Moon leading the Shadowkhans. Thanks to the giant screen she created that showed the action happening during Chloe Bourgeois‘s musical battle that brought back the sun, a clear picture of her was revealed. The clearer and closer picture showed that she has horse ears, and a horse tail almost hidden by her long flowing hair. With some of the Shadowkhan having animal like traits, it’s clear that their queen is a horse but one that has wings and a unicorn.

She is also very powerful, being able to do things that the old Shadowkhan queen hadn’t been able to do before. Moving the moon itself to block the sun, shows a level of power beyond anything any magical being has shown before. Even powerful demons and gods of the past needed time and ritual to do something on that scale, which Nightmare Moon just did. Which information is very hard to come by, thanks to what the Shadowkhan had been doing while the world was in eternal twilight.

According to Chloe Bourgeois, the Shadowkhans used the eternal twilight their queen created, to hunt down everything that’s magical. Either taking or destroying everything to do with magic, which she thinks is to get rid of the competition. Also making sure that they can’t be beaten like they were before, with magic being so rare now, it’s very easy for them to make sure that the few sources left around are taken cared of, leaving knowledge of magic far and few between.

It’s only thanks to Chloe having taken an interest in magic and her encountering magic on her adventures around Europe. Which she has recorded starting with the one where she ended up being the mistress of Belli Castle by killing the old master of the castle Lorenzo the alchemist who wanted to become immortal by using a young woman name Fiona Belli. Where she used the castle as her base of operations as she seemed out other mysterious and magical crimes that the modern world ignored and pretend wasn’t real. Which luckily she proved to be a great source of magical knowledge.

Nezu look up the profiles he created of the queens of the Shadowkhans who serve Nightmare Moon and each leading their own tribe. As well as the tribe that they lead, all of them take the form of buxom attractive females. Which in the ancient stories allowed them to influence powerful men with their beauty and sex appeal.

Ninja Khan, the baseline of the shadowkhans, they use traditional ninja weapons. Masters of the ninja arts, able to get in and out without noise or be noticed.

Combat notes - are stronger, faster and more agile then quirkless humans but just as killable to guns and fatal wounds as a human is.

Weakness - bright lights.

Their queen is Jade, the former queen of the shadowkhans. She is a blue skin slender buxom woman with short black hair. She wears black robes that covers her body but for her head and hands. She is a powerful magic user.

Needle Khan, they are armed with brace over their right hands with syringes that extended over their fingers. They can either inject a chemical into their victims with many different effects, from knocking them out to outright killing them, or draining them of their blood like a vampire. They can also spray out their liquids from syringe gloves.

Combat Notes - extremely dangerous in close combat with the unknown chemicals they inject depends on the Shadowkhan doing the injecting. They are also shown to be completely immune to all chemical and poisons used on them from tear gas to quirks.

Weakness - bright lights, and their syringe gloves can be destroyed.

Their queen is Shizuka, she is very tall buxom woman with ridiculous curves, and her physique is most pronounced by her humongous breasts. She has waist-length blonde hair that has several bangs coming down into her face, two bangs come down at the sides running all the way down that also frames her face and hazel eyes. She wears the same uniform as her tribeswomen and uses the same syringe gauntlet.

Crow Khan, they have black feathered wings on their backs allowing them to fly. They are able to fire blast of energy from their hands.

Combat Notes - fast and agile in the air, they flew circles around many flying heroes and took them down with their energy attacks and their greater numbers. They spend most of their time up in the sky out of range and firing down at ground targets. They also act as spotters for other khans, leading them to targets.

Weakness - bright lights, anti-air weapons and their wings once damage will send them falling.

Their queen is Camyu, a buxom woman with black wings like the rest of her tribe. She has short light blue hair and blue eyes.

Oni Khan, the largest and strongest of the tribes. Standing at over 9 feet tall, very muscular in built. They’re armed with kanabos, and wear heavy armor that makes them very durable to the point where it takes a lot of power just to harm them.

Combat Notes - They are walking tanks and are able to withstand heavy machine gun fire and rocket propelled grenades. They’re shown strong enough where they flip trucks and toss cars around, even stopping APCs driving at full speed trying to run down Shadowkhans single-handedly. The only ones who have super strength quirks could match their brute strength. They’re slow at foot speed but react very fast with their arms, and fight smart.

Weakness - bright lights, not as fast or agile as the others when it comes to foot speed due to all the heavy armor they wear. Use anti armor and tank grade weapons.

Their queen is Tionishia, she stands at over 10 feet tall with tan blue skin and long flowing blonde hair. One of her most noticeable physical features is a single large red horn in her forehead, which connects directly to her skull.

Samurai Khan, they wear samurai armor and wield katanas. Masters of the martial arts, ready to die for their queen and for their fellow shadowkhans.

Combat Notes - They’re the most combat oriented of the shadowkhans. With their armor, they have the prefect balance between protection, and speed. Their armor is able to protect them from all but heavy weapons. Their swords are able to cut through just about anything. They are also able to deflect bullets with their swords, even sending the bullets back at the shooter.

Weakness - bright lights, they can’t block attacks that their swords can’t touch like a water quirk.

Their queen is Apollyon, a tall and powerful warrior. She’s covered from head to toe in black armor and wears a helmet with a skull face plate. She fight with the ōdachi. A longer version of the classic katana, which she uses to cleave her enemies in a few elegant and powerful strikes.

Scylla Khan, the upper half of their bodies are that of a female humanoid and the lower half is that of an octopus. They are boneless and are able to squeeze themselves in small spaces. They are more at home in water.

Combat Notes - They’re able stretch out their tentacles that are lined with suction cups to pull targets into the water. Where the target is just overwhelmed by their many tentacles and others pulling them down. During the attack they completely overpowered all the defenses along the river, the few water base heroes were quickly taken out by them and pulled under. They are able to spout out black ink that blinds and burns, and makes the water impossible to see through. They are also able to squeeze themselves through just about any hole thanks to not having any bones.

Notes - They are mention in old text being used to unlock doors. Thanks to their tentacles being able to squeeze into the keyholes and reshaping themselves to unlock the doors. Like real octopuses who are known for being escape artists.

Weakness - bright lights, electrical, fire, and ice base attacks.

The queen is Octo, whose appearance is different from the rest of her tribe, with tentacles acting as her legs from her hips down and is very buxom. Her hair are smaller tentacles, with two larger ones draping over the sides of her face. Her eyes seem to be without pupils at a distance, but in fact have fat horizontal pupils, not unlike octopus eyes. Octo's skin color is a purplish shade of blue, though her tentacles are a much darker purple, with her hair starting out closer to white before darkening as they go further down.

Scorpion Khan, they have claws instead of hands, human legs, 4 scorpion legs coming out from their lower back that helps them scale most surfaces, and a long scorpion tail that injects paralyzing prison.

Combat Notes - Using their claws and scorpion legs they’re able to dig into the surfaces of walls and climb, or use them to tunnel into dirt and topsoil. Which they can travel through like water. There is no surface that they can’t climb or simply dig under. Which allows them to use their scorpion tails from just about any angle, paralyzing their targets and pulling them underneath the ground. Their claws and scorpion legs can punch through metal and easily crush bones, which they also use as shields that are heavily armored. Their bodies have harden scales that are bullet proof.

Weakness - bright lights, heavy weapons, while their backs are protected by scales, their bellies and upper chest area are less armored.

Their queen is Serqet, a tall and powerfully built woman. She has normal hands instead of claws, looks human with short brown hair but for her scorpion tail and two pincer-like blades covering her hands. She wears a black leotard that shows off her buxom body.

Leech Khan, they are able to scale any surface and crawl on ceilings. They also wear hooded black sleeveless jackets, instead of covering their heads like the other tribes. They do so, to allow them to latch onto victims with their fang mouths and suck up blood as well as energy.

Combat Notes - They’re ambush attackers who only directly attack when they have the advantage. They attack with other Shadowkhan and flank targets while they’re busy fighting off other Shadowkhans. They also are able to feed on any source of energy, being seen ripping power lines and sticking the live wire into their mouths. The more they feed, the stronger they get.

Weakness - bright light, they need to be able to put their mouths on bare skin to suck up energy and blood. They can be fraught off or knock off while they’re feeding.

Their queen is Six, a buxom woman that her dark jacket doesn’t hide. She has short black hair that she reveals the few times that she lowers her hood. She doesn’t need to latch her mouth onto victims to suck them dry, all she has to do is inhale and if they’re in her range she can suck all of their energy out of them. She can also inhale other sources of energy, that makes her stronger each time she does so.

Mystic Khan, the magic users of the tribes, they wear black cloaks and wide brim straw hats. They are able to open portals allowing more shadowkhans to show up in a given area. The more there are, more powerful the spells they are able to cast.

Combat Notes - They use long range attack spells, or open portals for more Shadowkhans to flood an area. They group together and cast spells at targets while being protected by other Shadowkhans. They’re able to cast spells that temporary took away quirks in an affected area.

Weakness - bright lights, their spells can be dispelled if their chanting is interrupted.

Their queen is Raven, a buxom woman who wears a black hooded cloak. Underneath she wears a black leotard that hugs her buxom figure.

Swarm Khan, the weakest of the tribes but are the most numerous. Taking less energy to make then other tribes, 10 created for every one of the other tribes. They simply overwhelm targets with sheer weight of numbers. They also are able to produce countless shurikens and kunais that they can rapidly throw at targets.

Combat Notes - They simply use overwhelming numbers to overpower targets and defenses. The other shadowkhans use them as cannon fodder to weaken defenses and targets before going in for the kill. They’re also the long range attackers, who are very accurate with their throws.

Weakness - bright lights, weakest of the tribes.

Their queen is Yuffie, who has short black hair and dark brown eyes. She wears a green, sleeveless turtleneck jumper that bares her midriff and a pair of tan shorts with no belt and an unbuttoned/unzipped fly. Over her left arm, she wears a protective gauntlet that originates from a single pauldron over her shoulder, presumably meant to also act as a shield. The gauntlet is held in place via a strap tied across her chest and around her back. Ninja-mail mesh covers part of her right arm and left leg and an additional piece of armor covers the rest of the thigh. She wears a smaller wrist-covering gauntlet on her right arm, orange fingerless gloves, and orange sneakers with white leg warmers. Her weapon of choice is the large 4-Point Shuriken, though she also has a pair of kunai knives tied to the ends of the headband to hang down her back.

All 10 queens showed themselves during the attack on Paris and showed themselves much stronger and more resilient than their tribeswomen. Taking attacks that killed lesser Shadowkhans, showing that there’s a reason why they’re the queens of their tribes. For Chloe being able to defend against all of them and Nightmare Moon, showed how powerful magic is. Which she explained that for some problems the only way to fight it is by using magic.

Causing all the countries, seeing how effective magic is in fighting the Shadowkhans to scramble in finding magic users and items. Using her newfound political power, Chloe got the members of the EU to create a magic coalition where all magical knowledge is pooled together with her heading it as she’s the only magic user in Europe. Her castle is the only wealth of magical knowledge left that she knows of that hasn’t been ransacked by the Shadowkhans, who had already taken care of all the others. And hoping that someone comes across an old magic book or item left in a forgotten corner somewhere, is a fool’s hope.

For magical beings, the ones who weren’t captured are now hiding away somewhere. Which seeing how they had been hiding away for so long and remained hidden, will be very hard to find them. Seeing how the Shadowkhan are also hunting them so that their knowledge of magic can’t be used against them. And with quirks being a thing, many of them, can just pass off their inhuman abilities and looks as quirks.

As making new magic items and knowledge, would take a magical genius that the world hasn’t seen for thousands of years.

United States -

Standing in front of a pile of wrecks that were left rusting away on the roadside for years, Melissa Shield aimed her transmutation staff she had created. She had poured everything she learned in magic and science to create it. The staff has lots of components and electronics attached to it, with a cable running from it to a power pack on her back. And another cable running to the modified baseball helmet she’s wearing that also has electrical parts on it, that allow her mind to link up to the staff.

The staff will allow her to use magic without all of the hard work that would take to do it the old fashion way. Chloe in France had years of hands on experience to learn to use magic, but she doesn’t have that time. Which is why she made the staff. As long as she knows how something is made up, she can change it into something else and since she’s a genius with good understanding of chemistry and molecular structure, the staff’s only limited by her imagination.

Energy burst from the staff and the pile of 4 wreck cars are transformed into two old fashion muscle cars from the 1950’s.

“Wow it works,” an ageless Chinese woman said to another Chinese woman standing next to her.

“Those magic lessons paid off,” the other woman said.

The first woman is Sue Mayfield, a local who has the quirk to transform into a Luduan. The other is Lao Callwal, who has the quirk to transform into a Qilin. Which unknown to many, they are actual legendary creatures who had traveled from China during the gold rush in the 1800’s and took a liking to the young nation and stayed. Which many other magical beings also left China when communism took over and ancient traditions and temples were destroyed, along with the purges that happen and famines. Which even now after the fall, China still has deep scars from communism and the far reaching consequences of the 1 child policy. (1) (2)

“I knew I could combine magic and science together,” Melissa said looking at the two muscle cars.

“You did surprise us with that magic scanner,” Lao said.

“I know that there should be a way to track down magic and doing some digging showed that you two been around for a very long time. And you two transform into Chinese unicorns,” Melissa said.

“No, we’re not. Unicorns are as apes to you. Same family tree but less intelligent. It’s the reason why they’re all gone, hunted down for their horns or in the worlds of the fae or other dimensions. Besides they’re pretty but they will gut you with their horns,” Sue said. (3)

“And the old story of the virgin is just made up,” Melissa said.

“Of course it is, that was just a magic user who had a unicorn as a familiar and the story just took a life on its own,” Lao said.

“Like how people thought that just by having a unicorn horn would cure them of anything, when they had no idea how to prepare it first,” Sue said. (4)

“Well with my knowledge of science and what you two taught me of magic, I’ll be able to take care of the Shadowkhans,” Melissa said.

“The Shadowkhans weren’t that powerful the last time either of us saw them,” Lao said.

“And that new queen of theirs, I never heard of her. I don’t even think she’s a Shadowkhan. All of the tribes have blue skin and red eyes, she has black skin and blue eyes. Plus she has all those horse like features the ears, the tail, and the unicorn horn,” Sue said.

“Maybe she’s another magical creature that was trap in the shadow realm and she took over. Or she was always there, just that she never bothered to reveal herself till now. Izuku did just thought that all of them were just women with quirks and gave the gemstone to them,” Melissa suggested.

“Yes that could had happen,” Sue said.

“No one has ever actually been inside the shadow realm and wasn’t the one controlling the Shadowkhans. Izuku was the first person I heard of who had managed to escape,” Lao said.

“Maybe, I can figure out how to free him,” Melissa said.

1 - Luduan, is a legendary Chinese auspicious creature. It has the head of a lion, the horn of a rhino, the body of a dragon, the paws of a bear, the scales of a fish, and the tail of an ox. It can travel 18,000 li (9000 km or 5500 mi) in a single day and speaks all world languages. It appears during the reign of enlightened rulers. A legend says a luduan once appeared to Genghis Khan and convinced him to abandon his efforts to conquer India. The throne of the Emperor in the Hall of Supreme Harmony has two incense burners shaped like the luduan as an auspicious symbol.

The qilin, is a legendary hooved chimerical creature that appears in Chinese mythology, and is said to appear with the imminent arrival or death of a sage or illustrious ruler. Qilin are a specific type of the lin mythological family of one-horned beasts. The qilin also appears in the mythologies of other Chinese-influenced cultures.

2 - China in the story has fallen from what it use to be thanks to all the real world consequences that are only beginning to be seen. And almost all the magical being and knowledge is long gone, thanks to the Great Leap Forward, where tons of ancient stuff was destroyed and millions of people died for one reason or another.

3 - Unicorns are highly intelligent but are more like those in Harry Potter. Magical and powerful but not sapient. They also go and attack and kill with their sharp horns, like in the old stories.

4 - Even if there were unicorns in real life, and their horns could cure illness. I would think that it would take more than just grounding it into powder and drinking it for it to work. Like modern medicine works much better than folk and traditional medicine, as it’s refined to work better.

Or like pufferfish where the chefs who cut the fish have to train for years as one mistake will kill the person who eats the poison part of the fish. You can’t just catch one and cut it yourself with no idea what to cut and just guess.

Chapter 12

The trophy room of Belli Castle, is where Chloe stores the items she has taken from past adventures and exploits that dealt with the supernatural. Also mementoes from other adventurers she has been on. Which has been built up over the years, which the other residents have also added to, with their own adventures which is mainly artwork and books from their trips as they gather information.

One display has sealed glass jars with red, green, yellow, and blue slime inside. Each of these jars of colored slime sings a part in a wordless, barbershop style harmony.

A marble head that cries, sobs, and wails.

A ship’s wheel from an ancient ship creaks, groans, and occasionally thunders.

He’s dressed in the stereotypical garb of a surgeon, along with a bloodstained apron, head mirror, and smock with a waistcoat with a bow tie underneath. Who looks like that old actor Price, even sounding like him. But the strange thing is that he’s black and white like from an old 16-mm film projector.

Chloe looks to the group from the EU who she’s showing around.

“This is Doctor Killjoy, he ran an asylum in the United States during the early twentieth century, attempting to cure his patients through means that were unconventional at best and lethal at worst. Somehow he ended up bond to the 16-mm film reel and can project himself onto screens. First by cameras as hardlight projections and movie screens. Later on tv screens and computer screens. But he’s bond to the film reel can’t leave the area it’s in. Jackson found the reel at a pawn shop and now the good doctor helps around the castle. And he’s able to detect if any of the stuff we bring in still has something in it,” Chloe explains.

“A real ghost?” One of the delegates asks.

“Yes, a bond soul thanks to magic or a curse. Don’t know which. Can’t remember what happen just I woke up as I am. It has allowed me to expand my knowledge from what I had in life,” Killjoy said.

“I have the personal that are experienced and has knowledge of a world that many of you would have laughed at months ago. I am not going to join an already established government agency with its own rules and regulations, that will make it hard for me and my people to work as we did before. I don’t need a paper pushing bureaucrat telling me about following rules and regulations when someone else is trying to block the sun, again. For this new magic defense that draws from the countries that are apart of the EU. I will not only be heading this agency but be choosing who joins. I don’t need another Scruffy, who on paper has a job role but seems to spend most of their time just getting being a parasite, and makes things harder for everyone while being a butt kisser to those higher up to them. Who are completely blind to it or allow it,” Chloe said looking over to where said janitor is sitting at a chair scrolling on his iPad.

“My job? Toilets 'n' boilers, boilers 'n' toilets. Plus that one boiling toilet. Fire me if'n you dare,” Scruffy said flatly.

“Scruffy has actually saved the day, a lot. Which is why he’s staying as he has the habit of being at the right place to save the day. Like with the case of the Great Mighty Poo, a golem made out of poo, that sung opera, very well actually,” Chloe said causing the delegates to look at her weirdly.

“It wasn’t me, it was the toilet plunger that did the deed,” Scruffy said, eyeing the stone talisman with a rat on it that brought the human waste to life.

“That’s the kind of stuff, I had to deal with for the past few years. And I don’t need someone who has never been out in the field telling me how to do the job, when I’m the only one who has been doing it,” Chloe said. “If not, I’m sure another country is more than willing to work with me by my rules.”

Chloe knows that the countries of the EU, are all trying to get her to sign up as a pro heroine in their countries. She has the hero commission of France pounding on her door, trying to get her to sign up before anyone else gets to her first. As the only magic user of any real skill in Europe, she has all the bargaining power to setup her terms. If not, there are plenty of other offers.

Besides, the hero commission hasn’t don’t what she wanted yet, with the Heroes of Paris. Who are still recovering, from the one sided fight with Nightmare Moon. The only one on her feet is her sister, who is dealing with the fallout of the lie they had all been living by, exposed. They had said they would reveal the truth afterwards, but thanks to Nightmare Moon, it’s all out now. And Chloe is leaving them to handle it all on their own, after she had told her side of the story that was never told and hidden for years.

“You would just leave?” the French delegate asks.

“If you think, I’m actually loyal to France, with everything that happen to me. You’re just as delusional as those idiots in Japan who thought that just keeping things covered up and sending those boys who raped that girl Fujisawa, to reform school and settling things with a settlement would be enough. Oh wait you can’t, they’re all in the Shadow Realm now, after being publicly tortured and humiliated. As long as the Heroes of Paris aren’t punished for what they did to me, and that goes for the ones in the hero commission and the government who help them. My loyalty is nonexistent to this country and can be easily brought. Leaving France without a magic user who can teach others how to use magic, and leave the nation with egg on its face,” Chloe explains.

“But that would…,” the French delegate said.

Which is why the government has been looking through all the records of the remaining clans to see if there isn’t anyone who is quirkless. Which is where they found something strange, some of you might remember the oldest daughter of the Tsuwabuki clan, Kureha Tsuwabuki she was born quirkless. She was reported to die during the League of Villain war, but the paperwork don’t match up with the police report or the morgue report. Government agents have investigated and using truth forcing quirks on the head of the clan, found that he tried to kill his quirkless daughter, but she escape, into a mud puddle and vowed revenge. He’s now imprisoned till his missing daughter is found, along with all the others who helped him. The government is asking for help in finding her before she sides with the Shadowkhan like Fujisawa Ayana of the Moon shrine,” Juugo said.

“Why are you telling us this?” Genma asks.

“Because of what the government is willing to allow her to do, to earn her loyalty. They’re not going to hide anything or let anyone who has anything to do with her father trying to kill her go unpunished. They’re not going to let what happen with Fujisawa Ayana, to happen again. Just to protect the social harmony or keep up appearances. If that works, what you think the government will allow Kasuma to do, to get him back,” Juugo ask causing many in the room to look pale. A convoy of vehicles are driving a lone mountain road in the northern part of Japan. Inside one of the cars is Mayumi Tsuwabuki, is a 24 brown haired slender woman, who with her father in prison is now the acting head of the clan. Sitting next to her is her younger sister Ayumi, a 12 year old who looks like her older sister at that age. Both of them have earth base quirks like the rest of the clan, Mayumi can mentally control the earth around her, while Ayumi can travel through it like water and make tunnels.

The convoy is a government and military escort, who are using the two sisters to find their older sister, who Ayumi doesn’t even remember as she was only 2 when she was reported to have died. Kureha would be 26 this year. The government is using a combination of quirks to find their eldest sister, using them to find her. Which Mayumi agrees as their clan even before the fall of Japan by the hands of the Shadowkhan, had fallen on hard times. Investments into businesses went bad as said businesses ran into bad luck, their clan ancient compound sank into a sink hole of all things, and accidents stuck members. With the worst happening to the children of the clan, there aren’t any children left in the clan. Learning the truth of what happened to their older sister, they wonder if it’s her doing.

They’re heading for the town of Ebisugaoka, that is situated in a mountain pass, which is surrounded by a thick fog year round. The economy of Ebisugaoka was once bolstered by coal mining and dam construction industries. Eventually, it underwent a period of decline and the grand iron bridge to the city was regarded as a reminder of better times. On paper the town has been abandoned but for a few elderly people, and is where their sister has been hiding for all of this time. (2)

The convoy of 8 vehicles drove into the mountain town, finding it empty of life but the lights are still on. In the buildings and shadows, figures are watching the convoy. The lead car lead the convoy to what was the town hall where a woman dressed as a shrine priestess stood there, waiting for them, holding an old umbrella.

Kureha has changed since Mayumi had last saw her 10 years ago. She now has long jet-black hair and unhealthy-looking white skin. She has also become very voluptuous, with I cups, and hips wider than her shoulders. She just stood there as she watched the government agents get out of the cars and she saw her sisters for the first time in years.

“Mayumi, Ayumi, I know why you’re here. To recruit me as the only quirkless member of the clan who can use magic, with promises of giving me the love and support that I was never given due to lacking a quirk. Being given the ancient text and magic items that the clan has held in storage for centuries with no idea how to use it or ability to use as I’m the only one who can use magic. Which is how I escape father and the others when they tried to kill me during the villain war. I unlock the magic inside of me that day and escape, and since than learning to use my unlock magic for revenge,” Kureha said.

“It’s why we’re here. I’m agent Yuu speaking on the behalf of the government,” a man in a suit said. “Your father and others who had taken part in trying to kill you are now imprisoned for attempt murder awaiting trial.”

“Yes, trying to make sure what happen with Fujisawa Ayana of the Moon shrine doesn’t happen with me. By making sure that father and the others are in jail and it’s all over the news to make sure that everyone knows. So that I won’t go and join the Shadowkhans, having my revenge and showing the small punishments that the government is willing to do isn’t enough and instead, I go with public torture and humiliation before having their souls taken and used as food for the Shadowkhans to feed upon forever,” Kureha said looking at Yuu. “Now, what can you offer that beats that?”

“You’re the one who chooses the punishment and allowed to inflict it on your father and the others who tried to kill you,” Yuu said.

“The government is willing to allow me to take a gun and shoot my father’s fingers off one at a time, out in the open where all can see me torture him to death as I reduce him to screaming and begging for it to stop?” Kureha asks.

“Yes, we are,” the image of the prime minister of Japan appeared in the air in an orb thanks to a quirk, along with Kureha’s father in a cell in prison uniform.

“Your father and the rest don’t matter, kill them and make it as humiliating as you want it. As long as you stay and use your magic for Japan,” the prime minister said.

“And what else?” Kureha asks.

“You be given full funding and backing by the government,” the prime minister said.

“Well luckily for you, I have been having my revenge on my clan for years now, a slow and painful one,” Kureha said looking cruelly at her father. “How was it to watch as the clan fell into poverty as business ventures failed and one misfortune happen after another with the clan’s young children all falling ill and slowly dying from illnesses that couldn’t be cured. Spending so much money on trying to keep them alive, only for it to not matter in the end. And that all of the surviving blood line members are now sterile.”

“You?” Mr Tsuwabuki asked his eyes widening. “Then your mother’s death was your doing.”

“Yes, me. The quirkless girl you saw as useless, used magic to befall the clan that mistreated her and tried to kill her. As for mother dying when the manor was destroyed in the sink hole, I created. That was an accident, I wasn’t trying to kill her. I wanted her to live and suffer like you, father. After all she also tried to kill me with you that day,” Kureha said. “Now turn off his speaker as I don’t want to hear from him.”

The one whose quirk is allowing the long range communications to happen turned off the speaker so that whatever Mr Tsuwabuki was about to say couldn’t be heard.

“Now be seen and not heard, useless old man,” Kureha said and looks to her sisters. “The only reason why I spared you two of the curse, Mayumi you’re already infertile to begin with. Ayumi, you were still a baby and the only one in the family I like.”

“I can’t have kids?” Mayumi asks shocked.

“Yes, I was surprised when I learned of it when I was casting the curses on the clan. You my dear sister who father put all of his hopes on, is a dead end. You can never have children, which is why I just left you alone. So that when the doctors finally tell you the sad truth why you have trouble getting pregnant after you been married off, that for all of the power of your quirk. When it comes down to actually having heirs to continue the clan. You simply can’t, and all the hopes and praised that was placed on you, was for nothing,” Kureha said smiling seeing the look on her sister’s face who had grown up with all the hopes of the clan on her and just finding out that the very fundamental responsibility as heir and head of the clan, continuing the bloodline is something that she can’t do.

“Do we have an agreement?” the prime minister asks.

“Only as long as I get do what with my clan. And I’m staying here in this town. It be too much trouble in setting up another barrier to keep out the Shadowkhans,” Kureha said.

“There’s a barrier around the town?” Yuu asks.

“The fog, is the barrier. It keeps out the Shadowkhans. During the eternal twilight, they went around capturing and destroying, anyone and anything that could have stopped them. The yokais of Japan were hit hard, driving many of them here,” Kureha said as the umbrella she held an old cloth umbrella was tossed to the side.

The umbrella transformed, gaining an eye and a mouth with a long tongue and a human like blue leg where the handle was, wearing a wooden sandal.

“A karakasa?” Yuu asks staring at living umbrella.

“There were yokais already living in this abandoned town when I moved in. After I setup the barrier, more came to escape the Shadowkhans. They help me with magic and I keep them safe,” Kureha said.

Yokais from myths and legends began showing themselves, stepping out in the open. The government agents and Kureha’s sisters all looked around see so many different kinds of yokais. They knew that supernatural beings are real, with what Chloe in Europe and Melissa in the United States revealed or have some working with them. The Japan government has been looking for supernatural beings and items since the Shadowkhans made themselves known but found nothing till now.

An old man wearing a feathered cloak and has horns on his forehead appeared behind Kureha, somehow.

“This is Osamu Yureimoto, the leader of the Yōkai of Ebisugaoka, he’s a daitengu. And besides my demands I need you prime minister to agree to of his terms as well,” Kureha said. (3)

Inside Belli Castle grand hall, Chloe is meeting with the people needed to start a new government agency under the UN, with France putting the most into it so that Chloe’s loyalty can’t just be brought by another country. The publicly announcing what the Heroes of Paris and those who helped them did to Chloe. Taking all the credit for taking down Hawkmoth and discrediting Chloe. With all of them the heroes and the government officials being named and fired from being heroes or their jobs and losing all of their benefits as well. Which was the cost the government was more than willing to pay to keep Chloe from leaving or at worst switching sides.

Chloe is looking over the dossiers of for the personal for the new agency that she will be heading. Which she’s already rejecting most of them, as she doesn’t want people who only got their jobs because of who they know or what quirk they have. She’s also simply rejecting anyone who has anything that seems fishy or has a record with them treating people without quirks badly.

“You people need to filter through these files before hand,” Chloe said as she gathers up the folders that were given to her by the 3 UN agents in suits and she has read through, walks over to the fireplace that a fire going in it and dumps all the dossiers into the fire.

Chloe walks back to the table and looks at the remaining folders that are piled on top of each other.

“I made sure to tell you people what I wanted, instead I’m getting people who I would never work with,” Chloe growls as she’s been looking through the files for the last hour or so. Just skipping to the reports of their behavior and background records.

“They are the ones who are able and willing to transfer to a new agency,” a woman Ms Brown said.

“At least get rid of the files that have people who have problems that I asks to look out for,” Chloe grunted.

“I think this team should be more to your liking,” a Mr Dale said sliding a file over to Chloe.

Chloe read the file name, Echo 6 and open the folder reading up on the members of the team.

Crispin 'Dee-Ay' Jettingham has been a soldier for as long as he can remember. He was the government's top choice for leader of the Echo Six team. Always calm and collected, he is a true soldier and is highly skilled and efficient with his weaponry and orders.

Then Chloe toss the reject files into the fireplace and went back to the table to bring up another issue. Chloe showed the 3 agents the rough drafts of costumes that many companies have been offering her to wear. The design she’s holding is one of those skin-tight outfits that many pro heroines wears. It’s a yellow and black costume that would cling to her curves in all the right ways, lifting her impressive bust, the symbol of a star on her chest, a window cut in the fabric giving a glimpse of the valley between her breasts.

“I keep getting these designs that are sexy but doesn’t give me much protection. I don’t need eye catching outfits, I need flexible but solid system of harden body armor. So I need a company that makes armor for soldiers, real one to make me a suit of armor that actually gives me protection. I put on body armor when I go on missions and that’s what I need,” Chloe said.

“I make arrangements,” the 3rd agent Mr Green said.

“There is also the issue of the special bullets you want,” Ms Brown said.

“I need special bullets to be able to handle magical beings. Cold iron for the faes or fairies, tracer rounds to make targets burn from the inside, bullets filled with silver nitrate for many other beings, same for UV rounds which will work great on those magical creatures who can’t take sunlight, armor piercing and anti-tank rounds for armored foes,” Chloe explains.

“And explosive bullets?” Ms Brown asks.

“Blowing up something works. Even if something is able to pull itself together after being blown up, all you need to do is to destroy the pieces while they’re small, or put them into containers,” Chloe said. (2)

“For those that can pull themselves together, it works. They can’t pull themselves together if their parts are trap in several jars and the small pieces aren’t strong enough to breakout on their own. Which allowed me to take my time in figuring out how to destroy the pieces. Which was by putting them into a microwave,” Chloe said.

“What was that?” Mr Dale asks.

“A jelly creature that kept on pulling itself together,” Chloe said.

“The equipment and weapons you are asking for will take time to gather, let alone fund,” Mr Green said.

“Tell the higher ups the sooner I get what I need, the sooner I can get to work in taking care of the Shadowkhans. Just because I ended the eternal twilight, doesn’t mean Nightmare Moon can’t do it again. And just because I managed to undo it, doesn’t mean I can do it again. I barely survive having 6 cargo ships drop on me and she will be ready for me next time,” Chloe explains to the 3.

A small robot, the size of a cockroach is hidden in the room. The listening device built inside it, is listening to everything.

Shadow Realm -

In her bedroom Nightmare Moon, is broody on top of her nieces, Izuku and Shadow Moon. She’s sleeping in the middle of the 4 younger herd members, two at each side, with each of her massive wings is wrapped around them. Like Pegasus ponies, Nightmare Moon would brood on top younger ponies, using her body heat to keep them warm and wrapping her wings around them to keep them safe.

Nightmare Moon would have been sleeping on her back with both of her nieces would be snuggled up to her sides, allowing them to be able to suckle on her breasts. Drinking their fill of her magic infused milk to help their still growing bodies to become stronger. Something that their mother Celestia had failed to do, causing her to lose the bond of mother and child she could have had with Sunset. And thanks to the student Celestia treated more as a daughter than her own child split Sunset into two. Nightmare Moon could merge them back together but if she did, Sunmare and Daymare would be gone. And both sisters didn’t want to be merged back together.

A Needle Khan appeared in the room giving her a message.

“Oh, it’s time,” Nightmare Moon said as she teleported off of the bed leaving the others to sleep.

With a flick of her hand shadows covered her voluptuous frame and her clothes and armor was now covering her naked body. Another flick she teleported to the throne room, leaving the others to continue to sleep.

The large parade ground of the palace grounds is used for drills, assemblies, and ceremonies. Nightmare Moon saw the queens there with the leaders of some magical beings who want to join with them. The fox women aren’t here which is normal, ever since they gotten ahold of that heroine with the Fox mutation making her a blue furred fox woman. They been doing nothing but fucking the heroine Kim, to break her will and mind, to transform her into their mate. And she never knew when the fox women would be finished. With so many of them, however exhausted she might be after hours of fucking there was always at least one who still had reservoirs of energy and semen to work out on her. The days and nights would go on for too long, her sleep caught in snatches between spasms of lovemaking, sometimes when blissful repose had finally come on her, and then another prick in her face or her cunt. Her orifices were constantly sore and bruised and there was always a nasty bitter and sour taste in her mouth.

Nightmare Moon stood on the stage letting everyone see her and she able to see all of them. Today there are 6 large groups who came together to join her.

Nachtalpers, are alpine night stalkers rooted in Austrian mountain legends. They don’t merely kill but to terrify, feeding on fear and breath alike. They are ghastly figures, elongated limbs like those of a spider, pallid skin stretched tight over sharp bones, and eyes like pits of darkness. Wearing ragged cloaks that move as though alive, sometimes revealing hints of withering ribs beneath.

A massive murder of Nachtkrapps, crows of sleepless nights have flocked around Raven, being drawn to her. They’re large as eagles, their wingspans wider than the width of a cottage roof. Their feathers are unkempt and uneven, as though worn thin by centuries of flight. Their beaks are long and cruelly pointed, made for piercing rather than tearing. Which they used to tear out the hearts of their prey. Which they would induce to sleep by filling the air with deep, rhythmic sounds like a drumbeat.

A group of Iele, merciless female dancers of the night of Romanian mythology. They look like ethereal young and buxom women, with long hair that gleams like gold, silver, or black silk. They are able to put men into a trance with their songs or their music from their instruments. Where they force men to dance with them feeding off of his energy till he’s crippled or dead. If they take a liking to the man they would take him back to their pocket dimension where they would use him as breeding stock till his usefulness was gone.

Alps, midnight tormentors, are pale skin humanoids who all wear a magical hat called a Tarnkappe, granting invisibility and flight and shape shifting. They can induce night terrors into their victims and steal their breath.

Rabisu, lurking ambusher of Akkadian mythology. They are gaunt humanoid figures with elongated limbs and clawed hands, their bodies are wrapped in shifting darkness. They have glowing orange eyes.

Xie Jing, crab essence or crab spirits from Chinese mythology. They are humanoid in shape but are covered in red armor plating of a crab shell. Their hands are crab claws with some having one of their claws being larger. Which shows which are males and which are females, like fiddler crabs with the males having one large claw.

Then there are the lone magical beings.

Frida, a Night Mare, steed of sleep’s unmaking from Norse mythology. She takes the form of a black horse whose hooves never touch the ground. Who crushes her victims chests and tangle their minds in suffocating illusions.

Bart, a clurichaun, a branch from the family of leprechauns but has a love for a strong drink and causing chaos. He appears as a small, ruddy faced man clan in crimson coat and pants, a battered hat cocked over sharp twinkling eyes. A skilled magic user who steal from bars and stores of their best drinks.

Jerry, a jinkin, a twisted trickster of goblin and brownie blood. He’s a short but long limbed covered with black feathers. His head is that of a crow, has crow’s feet and clawed hands. He wore a hooded grey jacket and sweatpants. A skilled magic user who not only play tricks but now is a professional villain, who steals and hires himself out.

Garlic, a pukwudgie a spiteful forest trickster. Standing only knee high, with grey skin, with eyes that glow in the dark. Has large ears and a large nose. He’s small but is strong and very cunning. Skilled in both magic and creating different types of poisons that have many different properties. He uses his skills to pull off robberies.

Gretel, a nixe a siren of rivers and lakes from German mythology. She takes that form of a pale skin woman with ankle length golden hair, with mountainous breasts and hips wider than her shoulders. She can control any body of water that’s near her and take the form of water. She uses her abilities to pull off robberies along waterfronts and sinking ships so that she could get the cargo.

Jack O’ Mano or Giacomano, the long handed trickster from Italy. He’s an unnaturally tall, thin to the point of gauntness, and with arms that dangle nearly to the ground. His face is almost always obscured by the brim of a battered black hat, underneath is a grin too wide and teeth that catches light at night. With eyes that are pitch black. He wears a long knee length black coat and pants. He can shadow walk from one shadow to another like a Shadowkhan. His touch can make his victims freeze unable to move, and completely aware as he pulls their insides out. He’s a professional assassin as well as a serial killer.

Velns, the horned trickster of the forests from Latvian mythology. Short stocky, with horns, tail, and cloven hooves, he resembles both satyrs and trolls. His skin is dark, his hair wild, and his eyes glow red like embers. And is armed with a pitchfork. He wears a leather coat and pants. Skilled in magic, super strong, and a skilled fighter. He uses his skills as a villain, using both brute force and magic, being able to transform into animals, disappear into the ground and cause localized storms.

Luu Bea, a zhizhu jing a spider spirit of deception. Her upper body and face is that of a Chinese beauty with long black hair. Her lower body is that of a spider with long slender legs and a lacquered carapace that glimmers like jade and gold. Skilled in both magic and traps. She uses her talents to kidnap people for people who hirer her or to sell in human trafficking or organ harvesting.

They are also all old friends of Monkey King who they are all gathered around, who before he was cursed to his wooden puppet form, would help him with his tricks when he was in their area. It’s been centuries since they been with their old friend and while they have adapted to the modern world, living as modern people, thanks to the rise of quirks they could openly go around as themselves without drawing too much attention. They still continue their old ways but now as professional villains and criminals.

“Monkey King,” Nightmare Moon called out.

“Yes boss?” Monkey King asks running over to his new boss.

“I need you and your friends to start causing some chaos for the humans,” Nightmare Moon said.

“What do you want us to do?” Monkey King asks.

“There are plenty of human villains in prisons, all over the world. I want you to free them,” Nightmare Moon said causing Monkey King to smile.
