It is pretty well established fact that the canon Marvel timeline of the movies takes place in the universe of Earth-616, right? I did a little bit of looking, but that seems to be the general consensus.
So I must confess, I am not into the Marvel comics, which I am sure are wonderful and I would love to investigate someday, but this is me operating with strictly visual canon. So. If something in not canon/comic accurate. Just... do me a favor and don't mention it.
Now that's out of the way, we can get to why I chose Earth-313 as the designation. I could have just written this the normal way and not worried about framing devices, but I also happen to like cool things like this and alternate universes so I thought it would be neat. I picked that number because it is close to Earth-616 but different enough to be noticeable;
Something I have noticed is that Marvel fix-its usually focus on one aspect, be that Steve and Tony's relationship or Bucky or Loki or any other number of characters, and leave the rest of the world the same. I have chosen to tackle ALL OF THEM. Is this insane? Yes. Am I definitely going to regret it? Yes. But if it helps me cope, it helps me cope.
To fix many of the problems I see, I have to go all the way back to the roots, which means that everything from the beginning of the timeline forward, tweaking things here and there to lead to larger changes later. It will be a sort of snowball effect, with the earlier stories seemingly basically like canon but then slowly becoming further and further from what canon tells us happened.
This is broken up by movie, at least to start with, so that each "book" will have a different focus, and then the series will develop chronologically. I will be shamelessly using whatever I like and throwing out what I don't. This does mean Agatha Harkness will be showing up at some point in the future, I love that woman.
Basically what this is: "MCU canon again, but this time slightly to the left" up until the point that all of those changes cause a huge avalanche of different effects that essentially change the course of the entire timeline.
