Work Text:
Jake paced the marble floors of the opulent mansion, his shoes clicking with each step. The weight of the day pressed heavily on his shoulders, a burden he had carried since the moment he was told of his impending marriage to Heeseung. Neither of them had wanted this, but their families' companies were at stake, and so was the alliance that would secure their future.
As he reached the grand entrance, Jake's father stepped forward, his expression stern. "Jake," he began, his voice firm, "Today is the day you fulfill your duty to our family. Heeseung awaits you at the altar. Remember, this is for the greater good."
Jake nodded, gripping his father's arm as they began the walk down the aisle. The room was a blur of faces, all turned towards him, watching with a mix of curiosity and judgment. He kept his gaze fixed on the floor, unable to meet the eyes of the guests or the man who would soon be his husband.
Reaching the altar, Jake finally looked up. Heeseung stood there, his cold eyes meeting Jake's. There was no warmth, no comfort in that gaze. Jake felt a chill run down his spine as Heeseung's sharp, unyielding stare seemed to pierce through him. No hand was extended, no smile offered. Only silence hung between them as they stood side by side, their breaths barely audible.
The ceremony proceeded with a robotic efficiency. Jake's voice trembled as he recited his vows, each word feeling like a weight on his tongue. Heeseung's response was equally devoid of emotion, his tone flat and unfeeling. When the priest announced, "You may kiss the bride," Jake braced himself, expecting the worst.
To his surprise, Heeseung's warm hands cupped his cheeks, and their lips met in a brief, unexpected kiss. It was over in an instant, leaving Jake reeling. The applause from the onlookers seemed distant as Jake forced a smile, his heart pounding in his chest. Heeseung had already turned away, his expression once again cold and distant.
The reception was a blur of faces and congratulations, all of which Jake felt detached from. He was swept up and inside the mansion they were to live in now, a place that felt too big, too elegant, too unfamiliar. Heeseung led him to the room where they were expected to consummate their marriage, another clause of the deal to ensure they procreated and created an heir for the family alliance.
As Heeseung showed Jake the undergarment pajamas he was supposed to wear and the bathroom, he grabbed his own pajamas and left the room. Jake assumed he would change elsewhere. Alone in the bathroom, Jake inhaled deeply, trying to regain control of his racing thoughts. The pill he had been given to trigger his heat was already beginning to take effect, and he knew he had to face what was to come.
Stepping out of the bathroom, Jake found himself standing in the grand bedroom, the weight of the day's events pressing down on him. Heeseung was already there, his back to Jake, his stance rigid. Jake approached cautiously, unsure of what to expect.
"Is this really necessary?" Jake asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Heeseung turned to face him, his expression unreadable. "It is our duty. We must fulfill the terms of the agreement."
Jake nodded, feeling a mix of resignation and dread. As Heeseung stepped closer, Jake closed his eyes, bracing himself for the inevitable. The room was filled with a tense silence, broken only by the soft rustle of fabric as Heeseung's hands gently guided Jake onto the bed.
Jake lies down and stares at the ceiling, counting and feeling his heart beat against his chest like a drum beating hard at what's to come. Heeseung is over him, but Jake's eyes are trained on the ceiling so far back that he only catches the top of Heeseung's head in his peripheral view. Heeseung tells him he's going to remove his bottoms, verbally instructing Jake of his every movement.
Jake feels Heeseung's cold hands brush against him as he feels the cold air kiss his skin against his legs, and suddenly he wants to press his thighs together, feeling too exposed. Heeseung's hands rest on his knees, tentative, and he pulls his legs wide apart, exposing Jake further, knowing now his 'husband' was probably staring at his entrance that he could feel the slick coming out of.
"I'm sorry if my hands are cold," Heeseung tells Jake.
"Hmm," Jake hums, not strong enough to form any words. He feels Heeseung's cold fingers probe at his entrance and tries not to shriek back at the intrusion. Jake can feel Heeseung's fingers inside him, not that he's not wet, but Heeseung slots his fingers inside to hopefully stretch Jake out enough that it won't be terribly painful for him. Once he deems Jake stretched out good enough, he pulls out of Jake, and the smell wafting from Jake's pheromones mixes with his, encasing the room entirely.
The scent of Jake is sweet and saccharine, like ripe fruit ready to be plucked, with a hint of musk that is uniquely his. Heeseung's own scent is a deep, earthy aroma, with undertones of pine and a hint of spice that is characteristic of an alpha. The combination of their scents creates a heady, intoxicating fragrance that fills the room, making it hard for either of them to think clearly.
"If you need me to stop, please tell me," Heeseung says, his voice low and controlled.
".... there's no point like you said, it's our duty," Jake sighs and squeezes his eyes shut as he feels Heeseung nudge against his entrance and slowly push into him. Regardless of being stretched out, it didn't seem to do any good, as it's still a tight fit. Heeseung pushes his way in, and Jake hisses, hands flying towards Heeseung's shoulders, gripping onto them. Heeseung still has to restrain himself and wait for Jake to accustom himself to the size as his hands are placed against either side of Jake's head, and his hot breath hits Jake's right side of his face as he tells Jake he's going to start moving, and Jake's head presses against Heeseung's unaware of doing so as his omega needing to be with his alpha.
Heeseung moves against Jake, and small whimpers and moans begin emerging from Jake's mouth as he feels himself getting wetter at the pleasure slowly bubbling from within him. Jake's scent engulfs Heeseung's orifices, sweet and saccharine like he can just take a bite out of him, and it doesn't help that Jake turns his head the other direction, neck baring in Heeseung's direction.
Heeseung turns his head, biting into his own bicep to restrain himself as his grunts reach Jake's ears as he drives further into Jake. As Heeseung picks up the pace, a sudden rush hits Jake as Heeseung reaches something within time and time again as he moves. Jake has never done this before, never experienced something like this before, and suddenly can't stop the pleading words coming out of him.
"Please-oh-please Heeseung," and the hands that were on Heeseung's shoulders reach behind and claws dig into Heeseung's back as he feels Jake's nails dig into him, as he feels Jake's legs tighten against Heeseung's waist.
Jake had a different image in his head when he thought about his first time with his alpha. He thought it would be passionate, lots of touching with his alpha offering words of reassurance, a long night between the two of them, but this isn't at all that. Heeseung doesn't make any move to touch him; there are no words of reassurance, no passion, he can only hope that he's doing good enough that he's satisfying Heeseung.
"I'm close," Heeseung informs Jake, who says, "Me too," and soon enough, Heeseung's spilling into Jake as he feels the knot starting to form, as it begins to suffocate Jake. Tears threaten to spill, and he thrashes his head against the pillow as they fall, and he bites his lip, threatening to bleed.
"It'll be over soon... just hold on a bit more," Heeseung murmurs against his ear, voice filled with something Jake can't quite make out with his head's cloudiness.
Reality starts crashing down as his mind begins to clear after a while, and everything comes into focus; the smell of sex mixed with their own pheromones releases and mixes together along with the feeling of the stickiness between both of them and the tightness of the knot.
Soon enough, it begins to soften, and Heeseung pulls out before Jake can comprehend and resists his omega's urge to pull him back to him. Heeseung is gone and leaves the room with the sound of the door clicking shut, leaving Jake alone in the dark of the bedroom, reeling from what he just experienced. That night, Heeseung sleeps in the guest room while Jake cries himself to sleep in their bed.

Jake knew it was going to happen eventually, and it shouldn't come as a surprise to him when the pregnancy stick stares back at him with the positive, but it still does. Jake keeps it to himself for a few days, a little secret he wishes to hold onto, but knows he can't. So when Friday night rolls around and their families are having their weekly Friday night meals together, he decides now is as good a time as any to reveal his secret.
Plates are cleared away, and as they wait for dessert to be brought out, Heeseung notices his husband emitting anxious pheromones with a hint he can't quite make out as he fidgets with his fingers, twirling his wedding band over and over again. Heeseung reaches over and takes hold of his hand to stop the fidgeting, and Jake blushes as he thinks to himself that he's being annoying with the fidgeting.
Jake inhales deeply and takes in Heeseung's calming scent as he clears his throat, and everyone looks over to him. "Um, I would like to make an announcement.... good news.... looks like we'll be having a baby on the way," Jake squeaks out, and the table bursts out into congratulatory wishes as they stand and make their way towards the couple, hugging them.
When they're back home, getting dressed to sleep, as Jake sits on the edge of the bed, Heeseung speaks up. "When did you find out?" "Um, at the beginning of the week," Jake replies. "Why didn't you say anything?" Heeseung asks, his voice laced with a hint of frustration.
Jake looks up, and he notices a flicker of anger in Heeseung's eyes. ‘Why’ does Jake think to himself? ‘Why would he care? It's a business transaction, basically.’ "I didn't think... what if- what if I lose it?" Jake stammers, his voice barely above a whisper.
One minute, Heeseung is standing on the other side of the room; the next, he's kneeling in front of Jake, his hands perched on Jake's knees, offering soothing rubs. "You're going to be fine, the baby is going to be fine, you're not going to lose it," Heeseung tells him, and for a minute, Jake actually believes the words that come out of him. The sincerity in Heeseung's voice is unexpected, and it catches Jake off guard.

Jake's pregnancy continues to progress well as a few weeks pass by. The two of them attend their first appointment with the OB-GYN, and they get their first glimpse of the growing fetus inside Jake. He is mesmerized by the picture he keeps with him at all times. Although he knows there is still a risk so early on in the pregnancy, Jake has begun buying baby books and magazines to browse and read about what he should expect in the months to come.
One morning, when Jake is at the kitchen island, eating his plate of breakfast that the staff made for him, he is deep in his baby book with one hand over the barely there bump, chewing on a piece of fruit. Heeseung comes into the kitchen and pours himself a cup of coffee. Heeseung takes in Jake's appearance, his fluffy hair down with his glasses on, as he's engrossed in his book.
"Do you want to get lunch with me?" Heeseung speaks out, and Jake flinches from the sound of his voice.
The two haven't really spoken much since the night Jake revealed his pregnancy, and still don't sleep together in the same room, so Jake is taken aback when Heeseung tries to make conversation with him. "What?" Jake looks at him, confusion etched on his face. "Do you want to get lunch with me? I know you haven't gone out much, and I was thinking some fresh air would do you and the baby good. So, do you want to get lunch with me?" Heeseung repeats, his voice softer this time.
"Oh, um, sure, I guess," Jake replies hesitantly. "Good, the driver can drop you off at my office and we'll take the car," Heeseung smiles at Jake and as he walks around the island and Jake, "That's cute," he motions to the page of baby boy clothes Jake had open on the table as he presses a kiss to the side of Jake's head on his hair and walks out of the kitchen, leaving a very confused Jake as to what just happened.
The car pulled up to the imposing office building, and Jake stepped out, feeling a mix of apprehension and curiosity. He had been here once before as a child, but the building seemed much more daunting now. As he made his way through the grand entrance and onto the elevator, Jake couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. The elevator doors opened, and he stepped out onto the floor where Heeseung's office was located. The reception area was bustling with activity, and Jake approached the receptionist's desk, trying his best to maintain his composure.
"Hello, can I help you?" the receptionist asked with a polite smile.
"Yes, hi, I'm here to see Heeseung, I mean Mr. Lee?" Jake corrected himself, realizing that the staff likely referred to Heeseung by his last name.
"Mr. Lee, the father, or Mr. Lee, the son?" the receptionist clarified.
"The son," Jake replied, his voice steady despite the butterflies in his stomach.
"Do you have an appointment?" the receptionist asked, her fingers poised over the keyboard.
Jake's mouth went dry. "Um, no?" he croaked, feeling a flush creep up his cheeks.
"Then you can't see him," the receptionist said matter-of-factly. "I can schedule you an appointment, or I can give him a message."
"Oh, um, sure, I guess," Jake stammered. "Um, tell him Jake is here."
The receptionist looked up at him, her pen hovering over the notepad. "Jake, do you have a last name I can give him or the reason for your visit?"
Jake hesitated, unsure of whether to use his own last name or Heeseung's. "Um, it's—"
"Jake, my boy, good to see you!" A deep voice interrupted his thoughts, and Jake turned to see his father-in-law approaching him with open arms. "Are you here to see Heeseung?"
"Yes, he told me to meet him for lunch, but—" Jake began, but his father-in-law cut him off.
"He didn't have an appointment, sir," the receptionist chimed in, her brow furrowed in confusion.
"He doesn't need one, don't you know who this is?" Jake's father-in-law said with a chuckle. "This is my son-in-law, Heeseung's husband. Jake, how are you feeling? How's the baby?"
"Good, the baby is good," Jake replied, instinctively placing a hand over his small bump.
"Excellent, excellent," his father-in-law beamed. "I'll take him back to my son's office. He should be done with his meeting soon; no need to bother him."
As they made their way to Heeseung's office, Jake's father-in-law kept up a steady stream of conversation, his presence both comforting and slightly overwhelming. When they reached the office, Jake's father-in-law knocked lightly on the door before pushing it open. Heeseung was in the middle of a meeting, but his eyes immediately found Jake, and a flicker of something unreadable passed across his face.
"Jake, you came," Heeseung said, his voice neutral.
"Yeah, you said to meet you for lunch," Jake replied with a shrug, trying to act nonchalant.
"Oh, father, you're here," Heeseung acknowledged his father with a nod. "I figured to have him wait here since you were almost done."
"Of course, Jake my boy, I'll see you Friday then," his father-in-law said, giving Jake a quick hug before leaving the room.
As the door clicked shut behind him, an awkward silence fell over the room. Heeseung's employee, who had been standing by his side, cleared his throat. "Sir? The buyer?"
Heeseung strode towards his desk, his movements fluid and confident. "Oh yes, um, tell them the new price, and let's wait and see their counteroffer for now. That will be all for now. Hold my calls and meetings in the meantime," he instructed, handing the employee a folder.
The employee bowed slightly, offering Jake a warm smile before exiting the room, leaving the two men alone.
"Are you ready?" Heeseung asked, reaching for his blazer. As he put it on, Jake noticed that the collar was sticking up at the back. Without thinking, he moved behind Heeseung and gently smoothed it down, feeling the warmth of Heeseung's body through the fabric.
Heeseung turned to face him, and Jake could feel the intensity of his gaze. "Yes," Jake replied, his voice barely above a whisper.
They made their way out of the office, Heeseung guiding Jake with a hand on his lower back. As they passed by the other employees, Jake could feel their eyes on them, the whispers starting to buzz around the room. Heeseung seemed unfazed, his posture straight and confident as he led Jake to the elevator.
The car ride to the restaurant was filled with a tense silence. Heeseung's hand rested on the center console, close enough to Jake's that a single movement could have brought them into contact. Jake found himself wanting to reach out, to feel the comfort of Heeseung's touch, but he restrained himself, unsure of how Heeseung would react.
When they arrived at the restaurant, they were shown to a quiet corner table. The meal was served, and Jake kept his gaze fixed on his plate, too nervous to look up at Heeseung. He could feel the weight of Heeseung's stare, but he didn't dare meet his eyes.
"Why don't you look at me?" Heeseung finally broke the silence, his voice laced with a hint of amusement. "I didn't realize I was that unflattering to look at."
Jake's head snapped up, and he felt his face flush with embarrassment. "What? No, no, you're not unflattering to look at," he stammered, his words tumbling out in a rush. "Then why won't you look at my face?" Heeseung pressed, his eyes locked onto Jake's.
Jake studied him for a moment, trying to decipher the expression on his face. "You're intimidating," he said softly. "Always looking like you're ready for a fight or tear someone apart... You look at me like you could eat me."
Heeseung's eyebrows shot up in surprise. "I'm sorry, I wasn't aware. I promise to do better," he said, a genuine smile spreading across his face.
Jake was taken aback by the sudden change in Heeseung's demeanor. He looked around, half-expecting to see a hidden camera, but there was nothing. Heeseung paid for the meal, and as they waited for the car to be brought around, he turned to Jake.
"So, what are your plans for the rest of the day?" Heeseung asked, his voice surprisingly gentle.
Jake hesitated, caught off guard by the question. "Um, I'm not sure, probably read some more or watch some TV," he replied, his voice trailing off as Heeseung stepped closer, his hands reaching out to button up Jake's coat.
"Let me rephrase," Heeseung said, his voice low and intimate. "What about we go and look at some baby stuff?"
Jake's eyes widened in surprise. "Don't you have work to get back to?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Heeseung chuckled, a warm sound that sent a shiver down Jake's spine. "That's one of the few good things about being the son's CEO," he said with a wink. "Come on, wouldn't you rather get to look at the stuff you've been looking at in the magazines in person?"
Jake hesitated for a moment before a small smile tugged at the corners of his mouth. "That sounds like a good idea," he agreed.
As they made their way into the baby department of the store, Jake was immediately drawn to the array of miniature outfits in various pastel colors. He wandered off from Heeseung, getting lost in the soft fabrics and adorable designs. As he was fondling a cream-colored cashmere baby blanket with a bear embroidered on it, a wave of emotion washed over him. He was going to have a baby; the reality of it finally sank in, and he felt overwhelmed with a mix of joy and anxiety.
Tears welled up in his eyes, and he crouched down behind a rack, needing a moment to compose himself. He buried his face in the softness of the blanket, taking deep breaths to calm his racing heart.
"Jake—" Heeseung's voice cut through his thoughts, and Jake looked up to find him standing in front of him, holding a tiny cream-colored stuffed bear. Jake's eyes widened as he realized it was a matching set.
"Are you okay? Are you hurt?" Heeseung asked, his voice laced with concern as he bent down to check on Jake, setting the teddy next to them.
"I'm fine, I got overwhelmed—" Jake began, his voice shaking.
"Do you want to leave?" Heeseung asked, his eyes searching Jake's face.
"No, it's not a bad overwhelmed, it's a good overwhelmed," Jake explained, a small smile tugging at his lips. "I—it didn't really sink in till now that I'm having a baby."
Heeseung's expression softened, and he reached out to cup Jake's face with one hand, the other resting atop Jake's hands. "We're having a baby," he corrected gently, his thumb brushing away a stray tear.
Jake nodded, feeling a warmth spread through him at Heeseung's touch. "Yeah, our baby," he whispered.
Heeseung helped Jake to his feet, removing his glasses to clean them for him. He also wiped away the remaining tears from Jake's face, his touch surprisingly tender. "There we go, much better," he said, offering Jake a gentle smile that made his heart race.
"Oh, I almost forgot, I found this," Heeseung said, reaching down for the teddy bear and showing it to Jake. "I know we don't know the gender yet, so it's a little early to buy things, but I thought it was too cute to pass up."
Jake turned the blanket over, revealing the same teddy bear embroidered onto the fabric. "It's like a matching set," he murmured, a soft smile playing on his lips.
The two of them wandered the store a bit longer, Jake's hand slipping into Heeseung's without either of them noticing. As they reached the register, the cashier rang up their purchases: the teddy bear and the matching blanket, a crib, bassinet, stroller, and car seat. Heeseung had been unable to resist Jake's enthusiasm as he pointed out each item, his eyes sparkling with excitement.
Heeseung paid for the items, looking over the shipping information as Jake fiddled with baby raddles next to the register. The cashier, noticing Jake's small bump, asked, "How long are you?"
"Oh, four months," Jake replied, instinctively caressing his bump.
"Oh, congratulations. Is this your first?" the cashier asked with a warm smile.
"Yes, we're very excited," Heeseung chimed in, his voice filled with a genuine happiness that made Jake's heart swell. With smiles and promises to return once they knew the baby's gender, Jake and Heeseung left the store hand in hand.
✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧
As they drove back home, Jake couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment wash over him. He wasn't sure what to make of this sudden change between them, and he wasn't sure if he should mention it, fearing he might seem stupid in Heeseung's eyes.
"I can smell your concern and hear your thoughts from over here," Heeseung said, catching Jake's eye as they turned onto their street. "What's wrong?"
Jake hesitated for a moment before replying, "Nothing, I'm just tired and need to sit down."
Heeseung's brow furrowed with concern. "Is it the baby?"
"No, it's fine," Jake reassured him with a smile as Heeseung parked the car and helped Jake out, carrying the bag from the store inside the house.
Jake made his way to the washroom, splashing cold water on his face in an attempt to gain some clarity on the day's events. As he entered the kitchen, he found Heeseung turning the stove on and taking items out of the fridge.
"Where's the staff?" Jake asked, his voice laced with confusion.
"I gave them the night off," Heeseung replied, not looking up from his task. "Is chicken good for dinner?"
Jake froze, holding the glass of water towards his lips. "You're gonna cook? You know how?"
Heeseung chuckled, a warm sound that made Jake's heart flutter. "Yes, I do. I had free time on my hands as a kid and learned a thing or two."
Jake's eyes widened in surprise. "Do you need any help?"
Heeseung shook his head as he began washing the rice. "You can sit, it's fine."
Jake placed his hands on his hips, giving Heeseung a glare. "Let me rephrase, I want to help. Tell me what to do."
Heeseung's lips quirked up in a small smile. "Finish washing this and then put it in the cooker. I'll start on the chicken, then if you want, slice up some green onions thinly."
The two of them moved in sync, Jake following Heeseung's every command as they brushed up against each other at times. Heeseung's hand was constantly at Jake's back, guiding him or asking him to taste something to make sure it was to his liking.
As they sat down to eat at the island instead of the giant dining table, their legs brushed against each other, and Jake felt a warmth spread through him. He was hot and bothered, his heart racing as Heeseung chattered on about what he did at the company. Jake listened intently, hanging on to every word.
Heeseung caught Jake staring at his mouth a few times, and every time Jake noticed, he flustered and looked away quickly. As they finished their meal, Heeseung stood and made his way over to the fridge.
"There's no way, you're still hungry after that amazing meal?" Jake called out, his voice laced with disbelief.
"Not me, but I figured you needed something sweet," Heeseung said, digging through the freezer and emerging with a pint of ice cream and a spoon, setting it in front of Jake.
Jake's eyes widened as he read the label. 'My mom is an alien.' He looked up at Heeseung, a mix of surprise and gratitude in his eyes. "I know it's your favorite, so I picked some up the other day. There's like five of them in the freezer and some other flavors too if you don't want—"
"Thank you," Jake said, meeting Heeseung's gaze, feeling a connection pass between them.
The two of them stared at each other, each wanting to say something but not brave enough to take the first step. Jake helped himself to the ice cream, and Heeseung watched him with a soft smile on his face.
"Here, try some," Jake said, all but pushing the spoon into Heeseung's mouth, feeding him a bite of the ice cream.
"Good, right?" Jake asked, his voice soft and intimate.
Heeseung nodded, a low "mmm" escaping his lips as Jake went back in for another spoonful. Without thinking, Heeseung reached over and cleaned up the chocolate smeared on the corner of Jake's mouth, his touch lingering for a moment longer than necessary.
Jake froze, feeling a jolt of electricity at the intimate contact. Heeseung, realizing what he had done, stood and took their dirty plates to the sink, beginning to clean them as Jake stood and put the ice cream away.
Jake stood by the sink, the spoon clattering as he dropped it into the basin where Heeseung was scrubbing the dishes furiously. He crossed his arms and leaned against the counter, his eyes fixed on his husband's back. "Heeseung," he called out, but there was no response. "Heeseung, look at me," he tried again, his voice tinged with frustration. Still, Heeseung remained silent, his movements stiff and mechanical.
Jake leaned his head towards Heeseung, trying to catch his eye. "Please answer me, tell me what's wrong. We were doing fine just now, and now you're back to acting cold towards me," he exclaimed, exasperation clear in his voice. Seeing no reaction, Jake straightened up and turned to walk away, his heart heavy with confusion and hurt.
But as he took a step, Heeseung's voice stopped him, low and pained. "I was 10 when— I was 10 when you first talked to me. Yes, our families have known each other forever, but we never talked till that day. Your family had just come over, and I ran off to hide before dinner, angry because— because we were supposed to go to Lotte World that day, but we didn't, so I hid— I hid and didn't see when you came to the house. Here I am in my treehouse when all of a sudden I hear footsteps and look up to find you there, and no one was ever allowed inside without my permission. But here comes this boy and barrels himself inside. This boy tells me how my mother told him to 'go find Heeseung and demand that he play with him.' Frankly, I didn't care for this strange little boy. I didn't know him, but played with him regardless, and found myself saddened when it was time for him to go."
Jake listened, his breath catching in his throat as Heeseung continued, his voice barely above a whisper. "I was 13 when I realized my first crush, and lo and behold, it was you. I didn't know what to make of it at the time and thought nothing of it, trying to get you out of my mind, but no matter what I did or who I dated, your face kept popping back in my head, haunting me. At first, I thought to myself, this could work. Our families know each other, and they would approve of us being together. Then, I found out eventually that I was to be married off for the sake of the company, so I didn't dwell on what could have been between us because I knew it would have led to heartbreak. So I pushed you away, didn't want to see you, cause every time I saw you, I wanted to reach out and hold your hand."
Heeseung paused, his voice trembling with emotion. "I was 17 when I heard you turned out to be an omega, and you have no clue how I wished that I hadn't been born into this family. I thought this family had ruined everything for me with the stupid arranged marriage, and how much I wanted to confess my feelings for you and screw it all and run away together, where no one would know our names. I thought to myself, What did I do to deserve this pain and agony? I was 21 when I heard that you, too, were to be married off for the sake of your family's company, but I hadn't heard to whom, and I prayed every night that it would have been me and not some other bastard. I was 23 when I found out who I was supposed to marry, and honestly, I thought I was going to have a heart attack. Because what do you mean, the boy I have been in love with since I was 10 was to be my husband? I thought to myself, there's no way I'm this lucky in life, there's no way that I get to have this— this life with the one person who gets me. What did I do to deserve this, because I'm me and he's him, and he's good and pure, and I don't deserve him."
Jake's heart raced, his ears ringing with the intensity of Heeseung's confession. "I am 24, standing in front of the boy I have loved since I was 10, now my husband, and future father of our baby, confessing to him after all this time, because I don't want to keep living with this secret that has been eating me away an-and I’m sorry for being so cold at the beginning of our marriage but you have to understand I have loved you for 14 years and told myself I wasn’t allowed to love you because you weren't for me. Now we're here together, life has shown me that I am allowed to love you and call you mine because life kept us apart for so long, only for it to bring you back to me for us to be together in the end... I love you, Jake, always have, always will, till death do us part, and probably even after that, because the love I have for you doesn't end with us dying."
Jake felt like he was going to throw up, his heart pounding so hard against his ribcage that he thought it might burst. He couldn't process the words, the confession, the raw emotion pouring out of Heeseung. Heeseung, his husband, his alpha, the boy he had known for what felt like his entire life, was confessing his love, a love that spanned years, a love that mirrored his own.
"Jake," Heeseung said, his voice soft and pleading.
Jake shook his head, his eyes shut tight. "Don't," he whispered, his voice hoarse with emotion.
"Jake," Heeseung tried again, taking a step towards him, his hand outstretched.
Jake took a step back, his hand trembling as he held it up, palm out. "Don't," he said, this time louder. "Just stay there."
And then Jake was gone, running through the house, his mind a whirlwind of thoughts and emotions. He burst into the room where he had shoved his extra boxes, his belongings that hadn't yet found a place in their shared home. He searched frantically, tearing open boxes, scattering their contents until he found what he was looking for.
Back in the kitchen, Heeseung sat with his head in his hands, his shoulders shaking with silent sobs. He looked up as Jake reentered, his breath coming in ragged gasps, a box clutched to his chest.
"You're not allowed to say all that—" Jake began, pushing his glasses up and tucking a strand of hair behind his ear, his voice trembling with barely contained emotion.
"Jake," Heeseung started, but Jake cut him off.
"No, it's my turn. You're gonna sit there and listen," Jake said, his voice steady despite the tears streaming down his face.
Heeseung nodded, his eyes never leaving Jake's face, a mix of hope and fear etched on his features.
"You don't get to tell me you've been in love with me for 14 years," Jake continued, his voice rising with each word. "You don't get to tell me that because of the stupid arranged marriage, you decided it was best to push me away. You don't get to tell me you wanted to run away with me, but didn't act on it. Who are you to determine that you're not good enough for me, that you're not allowed to be loved, especially by me? How are you going to tell me all this after all this time, when I've written countless letters to you confessing my love for you for the past 10 years of my own life?"
The dam broke, and tears flowed freely down Jake's face as he revealed his own secret. He removed the lid from the box he had brought with him and pulled out a letter, his hands shaking as he began to read.
"Dear Heeseung, you looked really cool today at the basketball game. I wanted to scream in front of everyone that I loved you and dreamed that you would scream back, 'I love you too, Jake,' but I didn't and went home instead as you left to celebrate with your friends, not even sparing me a glance."
Jake's voice caught, and he took a shaky breath before continuing. "Dear Heeseung, my parents just told me that you're to be married off when you're older. I hope it's going to be me. I just love you so much that my chest hurts when I think of you being with someone else."
He looked up at Heeseung, his eyes filled with a mix of love and pain. "Dear Heeseung, I don't know if you heard, but turns out I'm an omega, and secretly, I'm glad because now there's a better chance for us to be together. I know my parents wanted another alpha after my brother, but if I were an alpha, they wouldn't allow me to be with you... I love you and miss you."
"Dear Heeseung, my parents told me I'm supposed to get married soon. I really hope it's you and not someone else... but in case it's not you, this is my last letter to you. I know these letters will never see the light of day, but just know I meant everything I said in all of them. I have loved you, love you, and will continue always loving you, regardless of where we end up, together or not."
Jake's letters and envelopes were scattered across the table and floor as he finished reading, his voice breaking with each word. He looked up at Heeseung, his face wet with tears, snot running down his face, his chest heaving with the weight of his confession.
Heeseung stood, his breath coming fast as he tried to control his emotions, his heart pounding in his chest. "It's not fair that you said all that and didn't think I was going to respond," Jake said, his voice shaking with a mix of anger and hurt. Heeseung shook his head, taking a step forward, his eyes locked on Jake. "Jake," he called out, his voice a plea.
Jake shook his head, his eyes shut tight, tears streaming down his face. "No, it's not fair, we had to suffer being apart for so long, it's not—it's not fair," he whispered, his voice breaking with each word.
Heeseung took another step, closing the distance between them. He stood in front of Jake now, looking down at him, his expression a mix of pain and longing. "Jake, look at me," he said, his voice cracking with emotion.
Jake shook his head again, but Heeseung gently grabbed his face with both hands, tilting it up to meet his gaze. "Look at me," he repeated, his thumbs caressing Jake's cheeks, wiping away the tears.
Jake opened his eyes, and they stared at each other, both with tears flowing freely, the weight of their shared confessions hanging heavy in the air. The kitchen was filled with a mix of scents—sadness, despair, a hint of happiness, longing, and confusion. Heeseung tried to calm them both, releasing calming pheromones, his touch soothing and reassuring.
"Don't cry anymore, please... it hurts me to see you cry, especially knowing I'm the reason," Heeseung said, his voice soft and gentle. " I-I'm sorry."
Jake shook his head, his hands gripping Heeseung's dress shirt at the waist. "Don't apologize, it's not your fault. Don't think that way, please," he whispered, his voice hoarse with emotion.
Heeseung pressed a tender kiss to Jake's forehead, his lips lingering for a moment. "How did we get here?" Jake asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
"We didn't know it wasn't our fault." Heeseung held Jake's gaze, his eyes filled with a mix of love and determination. "We can still make this work. We have time, it's not too late if you'll still have me," he said, his voice steady and sure.
Jake nodded, a small smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. "Of course, I will. I'm scared, but I believe in us," he replied, his voice filled with conviction.
One of Jake's hands reached up, slipping his fingers onto the back of Heeseung's neck, slightly gripping at the hairs and skin there. Heeseung, his husband, his alpha, Jake thought, the father of his baby, their baby. Jake pushed up on his toes, nuzzling his nose against Heeseung's, their breaths mingling together.
"Jake, can I kiss you?" Heeseung asked, seeking permission for their first real kiss outside of their wedding.
Jake hummed in response, his eyes fluttering closed as they leaned into each other, their lips connecting in a tender, hesitant kiss. It was tentative at first, but as they got the hang of it, their lips slotted against each other with a tenderness that spoke volumes about the love they shared.
As the kissing became more intense, Jake pulled back to rid himself of his glasses, and he pulled Heeseung back down towards him, their hands exploring each other's bodies, trying to get closer. Heeseung pulled away from Jake's brushing mouth, a stirring of saliva connecting them, and Jake tried to chase him, but Heeseung held Jake's head with one hand, the other resting on his waist.
Heeseung dipped his head, nuzzling Jake's neck, scenting him, pressing delicate kisses on his skin. "Can I?" he murmured against Jake's neck, seeking permission for something more.
Jake nodded, knowing exactly what Heeseung meant to do. His mind became cloudy, feeling himself grow hot and bothered, that same feeling pooling between his legs, just like on their first night together. The delicate kisses turned into open-mouth kisses as Heeseung sucked against Jake's skin, leaving marks that would blossom.
"Hee—" Jake's voice was cut off as he felt Heeseung's canines graze his skin.
"Hyung, wait," Jake said, and Heeseung immediately stopped, pulling back to listen to his omega's request.
"I'm sorry, I was moving too fast," Heeseung said, his voice filled with concern.
"No, it's not that. I just don't want our first real time to be in the kitchen," Jake admitted, blushing and hiding his face in his hands.
Heeseung pulled Jake's hands away, kissing them gently. "Jake, you don't ever have to be afraid or embarrassed to tell me what you want, okay? Don't hide from me, tell me everything," he said, his voice soft and reassuring.
"Even when I get a craving at 3 am?" Jake asked, a small smile playing on his lips.
Heeseung chuckled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Even then, pretty," he said, using his nickname for Jake, which made him feel all giddy inside.
Hand in hand, they made their way to the bedroom, Jake standing in the middle of the room as Heeseung closed the door and leaned back against him, staring at his husband with a mix of love and desire.
Jake sat on the edge of the bed as Heeseung walked over and bent down, resuming their kissing as Jake shifted himself back onto the bed a bit, and Heeseung followed him. Jake's body felt like jelly as Heeseung towered over him, pulling back to rid himself of his shirt. Jake took this opportunity to admire Heeseung, something he hadn't been able to do their first time. He trailed his hands up and down Heeseung's torso and arms, memorizing every ridge and plane, every scar and mole that adorned his husband's body.
Heeseung leaned back down, his hands gripping the bottom of Jake's shirt, silently asking for permission. Jake nodded, granting him access, and Heeseung took all of him in, his eyes drifting towards the small, growing bump they had made together. Heeseung's hand rested atop it, and Jake placed his own over his, the two sharing a look that affirmed everything between them.
Heeseung leaned down, placing tiny kisses against the bump, leaving Jake with his throat closing up and tears brimming in his eyes as he ran his fingers through Heeseung's hair, cherishing the moment between the three of them.
Heeseung's nose nuzzled the bump once more before descending downwards, towards where Jake was sure he could smell the intense pheromones being released from him. "Hyung, please," Jake tightened his grip on Heeseung's hair, his voice filled with need.
"Say that again," Heeseung murmured, his voice low and husky.
"Hyung, please," Jake repeated, his voice breathless with desire.
"From now on, you're only allowed to call me hyung, or husband, or alpha," Heeseung said, his voice filled with possession and love.
Jake nodded, fully understanding and comprehending. Heeseung removed Jake's bottoms entirely, and Jake had to restrain himself from pressing Heeseung's face where he needed it the most right now. "You don't know how much I've wanted to do this.... Your scent drives me crazy, I can't think properly when I'm around you. You smell so sweet like forbidden fruit just taunting me," Heeseung told Jake as he pulled Jake's knees apart, staring at Jake's glistening entrance.
Jake wanted to shut his knees, feeling exposed, but he didn't, knowing his alpha would take care of him and their baby. Their baby, Jake reminded himself, feeling a surge of love and protection. He knew he didn't have anything to be afraid of since they had done it once already.
"What's going on in that head of yours, pretty?" Heeseung asked, squeezing Jake's thigh in comfort, grounding him.
Jake shook his head and caressed Heeseung's face, reassuring him he was fine. Heeseung leaned towards Jake's entrance, and with the pads of his fingers, he began touching Jake, slowly rubbing circles with his thumb as he slowly inserted two fingers, stretching Jake out.
Throwing his head back against the pillow, Jake released a whimper as his husband opened him up, the sound of squelching reaching his ears. "Hee—" Jake started, but Heeseung cut him off.
"I said not to call me that," Heeseung murmured against Jake's thigh as he marked up both thighs, leaving imprints that would surely be there in the morning.
"Hyung," Jake corrected himself just as he felt Heeseung's tongue lick a long stripe against him, and Jake hissed from the contact, tightening his hold on Heeseung's hair, not caring if he was pulling too hard.
Adding another finger, Heeseung continued his pursuit as Jake's voice came out thin and shaky, "Please, alpha, I need you."
Complying with his omega's wishes, Heeseung removed his fingers, holding eye contact as he licked his fingers clean, releasing them with a pop that Jake found extremely hot. Heeseung removed his bottoms and returned to his omega, looming over him as he placed both of Jake's legs over his shoulders, pressing his cock against Jake's entrance.
Jake, having none of that, pressed the heels of his feet against Heeseung's shoulders, urging him forward at an alarming rate that shocked the older man. "I'm not made of glass, hyung," Jake said with a smirk, pinching Heeseung's side.
Heeseung threw him a smirk back, and if that's how his omega wanted to play, then so be it. Jake didn't get to say his snarky remark because the next thing he knew, he was nearly pushed all the way towards the headboard with a thrust that had his rolling his eyes back so far and his toes curling in the air, just about taking all the air out of him.
Obscene sounds echoed within the four walls of the bedroom as their skin slapped against each other, moving together at a relentless pace. The fitted sheet came undone, pillows were thrown off to the sides, and the bed creaked and shook with their movements, the sheet moving against the bed back and forth against their slipping knees.
Jake was on his knees now, face down into the mattress, a blubbing mess of sweat, slick, and cum from the amount of orgasms they had both had. The veins in his hands and forearms gripped onto a part of the mattress that was bare, holding on for dear life as Heeseung's weight pressed onto his back, thrusting hard. Jake's skin looked like a water-colored painting, having been littered with marks the size of chrysanthemum flowers.
Jake's head was clouded, and he couldn't seem to see straight anymore after losing track of the number of orgasms he had, each one more intense than the previous one. But the need to have his alpha's knot within him was not yet satisfied. He was lifted backward, now on his knees, kneeling upwards facing the headboard as his fingers failed to hold onto it with Heeseung thrusting upwards into him.
He leaned his head back onto Heeseung's shoulder, leaning into his neck, taking in his scent as he felt wet lips kiss his cheek in assurance. "You're doing so good for me," Heeseung's hot breath tickled his ear.
Jake moaned incoherently, his mouth hanging open as he gripped one hand onto Heeseung's back of his head, bringing his mouth to his as their tongues danced with each other. "Ngh, alpha, I need—" Jake panted, his body aching with need.
"What do you need, pretty?" Heeseung asked, his voice low and husky.
"Please," Jake begged, his voice breathless with desire.
"Words, pretty, words," Heeseung hit a thrust forcefully that Jake swore stopped his heart for a second.
"Mark me, please, fuck," Jake cried out, his body trembling with need.
Heeseung's hips faltered for a second and slowed down. "Why," he asked, his voice filled with emotion.
"Because I'm yours and you're mine and I fucking love you and can't live without you. The thought of it kills me," Jake told him, holding his gaze as he saw Heeseung's face soften at the words. "Yes, I feel the same," Heeseung whispered, his voice filled with love and devotion. Heeseung picked up his pace, and all Jake could do was cry out against the pleasure throbbing in his body.
Jake held his husband's hands tightly, and he was sure he would find crescent moons on the backs of Heeseung's hands in the morning. There was a burn in Jake's thighs and back as he was arched, bouncing on top of Heeseung, who sat up against the headboard, watching this glorious moment in front of him.
"Jake... Jake," Heeseung called out his name like a mantra as he met each of Jake's thrusts with his own. "Fuck, pretty, I'm gonna come, fuck," Jake leaned forward, shifting all his weight onto Heeseung's front.
"Need you to—come inside me, please," Jake told Heeseung as he kissed his husband, then wrapped his arms around Heeseung's neck, one hand pulling Heeseung's hair hard as Heeseung's fingers dug into Jake's hips, surely leaving bruises behind.
Jake's neck was bared as he slotted his face into Heeseung's neck. "Fuck, fuck, fuck, pretty, fuck, I'm coming," Heeseung spilled inside of Jake, and Jake swore he saw stars behind his eyelids. A second later, the feeling of Heeseung sinking his teeth into his neck had Jake bursting with pleasure of his own.
The knot started forming, and Jake felt it as it swelled, swearing he could feel it bubbling in his throat, with how it made him lose air. The two shuddered against each other, Jake squeezing Heeseung, wanting to commit him and every feel of him to memory. As they tried not to burst into flames right then and there, feeling like they were dying, they decided that they would gladly die like this time and time again in each other's embrace.

Jake stirred, feeling a heavyweight press against his back as he tried to snuggle deeper into his pillow. The weight was also extremely hot, and Jake attempted to remove it from his body, but his hand smacked into something hard. "Ouch! You could just tell me to move; you don't have to hit me," a voice called out, and Jake's eyes opened abruptly, turning to face his husband.
"So, it wasn't a dream last night," Jake murmured, his voice still thick with sleep.
"One heck of a dream if you ask me," Heeseung smirked at the younger man, which earned him another smack, this time rightly deserved if you were to ask Jake.
"Ouch, hey, I don't think I deserve this," Heeseung mentioned as Jake turned and burrowed himself into Heeseung's personal space, cuddling into him.
"Shut up and hug me; we have time to make up," Jake mumbled against Heeseung's chest as the older man complied with the request.
Much later, when they woke again, and after another round of shower sex—since Heeseung couldn't keep his hands to himself anymore—the two made it downstairs like a pair of happy, love-struck teens. They giggled, held hands, and stopped to try to kiss each other every so often, forgetting they weren't the only two in the house anymore. The staff was back, and as they reached the kitchen, the mess from last night had been cleaned up.
"My letters!" Jake blanched at the missing box.
"I put them back in the box in Mr. Heeseung's office, Mr. Jake," one of the maids informed him, calming his worry.
"Thank you," Jake said, his voice filled with relief.
"Certainly, can I fix either of you a plate?" the maid asked.
"Please," Heeseung thanked her.
Way past breakfast at this point, more like brunch, the two took their meal out in the garden. The sun shone brightly on them as they sat close to each other, Jake practically on Heeseung's lap with how he placed Jake's legs over his own. Heeseung fed Jake fruit, and Jake playfully wiggled his fingers in front of his husband's face, as he tried to bite them and failing.
”I do have hands that work just fine you know “
"Yes, but one needs to hold my hand because I get lonely, and the other needs to be over the baby at all times," Heeseung stated as if it were a fact, and Jake let him do as he pleased, just smiling at him.
Jake played with Heeseung's hand. "Hyung, why don't you wear your ring?" Jake noticed the bare ring finger on his husband's hand.
"It hurt too much wearing it, thinking that you didn't feel the same, thinking it was just a business transaction. But don't worry, I have it and will begin using it," Heeseung explained, placing a kiss on Jake's lips briefly as the younger man pouted.
"Good, can't have anyone thinking you're single," Heeseung laughed at the cuteness his husband expelled.
✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧
"Hello, how's it going? Any new symptoms?" their OB-GYN asked when she came into the room, surveying the couple.
"Besides mixing kimchi with ice cream?" Heeseung piped up, and that earned him a tight squeeze of his hand and a yelp.
"I assure you, cravings, even the most bizarre ones, are normal during a pregnancy, and if I were you, I wouldn't say anything," the doctor said, and all three of them laughed at that.
"Let's take a closer look now," the doctor instructed, and Jake got into position, hissing at the cold gel he knew was coming but still wasn't ready for. He held Heeseung's hand as they sat next to Jake's head, pressing a kiss to the back of his hand as they stared at the monitor, anticipation building, knowing that at this appointment, they would find out the gender.
"Everything looks good, measuring just where we want. Here's the head, the little nose. You've got all 10 fingers and toes. It looks like the baby is sleeping right now. Surprisingly, sometimes I get a few that wake from all the jostling," the doctor explained.
"Oh, trust me, it keeps me up some nights, that's for sure," Jake mentioned, recalling the first time the baby kicked, and he and Heeseung almost burst into tears out of happiness.
"The baby is sitting right where we want for almost 6 months. Do you want to know the gender?" the doctor asked, looking at the parents-to-be, and they nodded.
✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧
Pulling up to dinner that Friday, they couldn't wait to inform their parents of the good news. "Pretty, we're here," Heeseung squeezed Jake's thigh as the younger man was pulled from his magazine.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I was so focused," Jake blushed.
"It's okay; I only confessed my love for you about fifty times on the drive over here and wanted you to hold my hand, but I guess I'll just have to slowly pass away," Heeseung feigned hurt and death as Jake playfully smacked him and pulled him by his jacket for a kiss.
"Is that better?" Jake asked.
"Hmm, I think a few more would suffice," Heeseung smirked as the two kissed, bordering on making out in the car in front of Heeseung's parents' house.
"We need to go, otherwise, they're going to come looking for us," Jake told his husband as Heeseung nuzzled his cheek and buried his face in Jake's scent gland.
"Hmm," Heeseung hummed.
"Hyung, seriously," Jake whined.
"Don't whine like that, pretty, or I'll turn this car around and head straight home," Heeseung warned, his tone leaving no room for argument.
"As much as I would really like that, we promised we would come today, especially after not showing last week," Jake reasoned.
"As I recall, a certain someone didn't want to come because they wanted to spend time in bed cuddling their husband," Heeseung called him out as Jake just rolled his eyes.
"Okay, yes, but we are here now, and you can't blame me; I'm pregnant. What the baby wants, the baby gets," Jake pouted, knowing it didn't just mean the baby but him too.
"Damn straight," Heeseung grinned, pressing one last kiss to his omega as he made his way around the car and helped him out, steadying him.
"You're bringing the catalog?" Heeseung motioned to the magazine Jake held as he got out.
"Why not? I figured I could get our mothers' opinion on a few things," Heeseung took the booklet and held it under his armpit so Jake's hands were free to hold his.
"If you say so, but I wouldn't listen to everything our moms say regarding children. They had us 20 years ago; times have changed," Heeseung leaned into Jake as they made their way towards the front door.
Dinner went off without a hitch, like normal, except for the part where Jake was seated on the opposite side of the table, away from Heeseung, who pouted the whole meal. He also tried playing footsies under the table with Jake a few times and then accidentally bumped his leg into his father-in-law's, ending it as he flushed with embarrassment.
As they sat in the living room now, Heeseung didn't even get to sit next to his pregnant omega as their moms sat on either side of him as they perused the baby catalog.
"Pretty," Heeseung called for him, and Jake looked up.
"Yes, Hyung?" Heeseung gave him a knowing look.
"Right," Jake extended his hands out as his husband helped him off the couch as he went to get the bag they brought with them.
"What's going on?" Jake's mother asked.
"Let's have all the future grandparents-to-be sit together, please. Hyung will be back any moment," Jake told them all as Heeseung came back with cupcakes for each of them.
"On three, all of you are to take a bite," they counted down, and as they bit into the cupcakes, knowing what was inside, Heeseung and Jake filled with excitement.
Heeseung's dad was the first to realize what was going on when he bit into the cupcake, revealing the colored icing inside. Shouts of excitement sounded off from the parents as hugs and kisses were plastered on the expecting parents.
✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧
"Are you sure it's supposed to look like this?" Heeseung asked from his spot on the floor as he worked on building the crib.
"That's what the instructions say," Jake told him, frustrated, and he wasn't the one building the crib.
"I don't know, pretty; it doesn't look right," Heeseung said, looking at the crib with a critical eye.
"Here, then you do it," Jake tossed the instructions to his husband as he went in search of ice cream.
Returning 30 minutes later with no ice cream in hand and Layla following him, paws clicking against the floor, Heeseung joked, "Did you get lost?"
That earned him a smack on the back of the head as he tightened the final piece on the crib, and Jake sat back down in the rocking chair.
"I ate my ice cream, then mom called asking how I was feeling, then I got distracted babying Layla," Jake explained.
"And you didn't want to get her at first," Heeseung teased him.
"It's not that I didn't think a dog is a big responsibility.”
“And a baby isn't? Plus, I know I would rest better knowing you weren't completely alone while I was at work," Heeseung reasoned.
"The staff is here," Jake said, earning a deadpanned look from his husband.
"The crib looks good, good job hyung." Jake changed the subject as Heeseung finished and walked over to lean down and kiss his husband.
✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧
Jake whined, his head between his bent arms as he leaned on the bed. "Hyung," he called out, his voice tinged with need.
"Yes, pretty? Words. Tell Hyung what you need," Heeseung encouraged, his hands running soothingly over Jake's back.
"Fa-faster, please, alpha," Jake pushed back against his alpha, encouraging him to move, and Heeseung obliged, his hips thrusting with increased urgency.
"You're taking me so good, pretty. You love having your fill of my cock, isn't that right?" Heeseung's voice was low and husky, his words sending shivers down Jake's spine.
"Ngh, yes," Jake breathlessly answered, his body aching with pleasure.
"This is fucking beautiful, seeing what the two of us created. It makes me want to keep you pregnant all the fucking time. You look fucking incredible like this, all swollen and sensitive in the right places, hmm," Heeseung reached around, one hand pinching and pulling Jake's sensitive nipples, the other moving down towards Jake's clit, adding to the already overwhelming sensation.
"Hyung, I'm gonna— come," Jake cried out, his body tensing as Heeseung pressed his nose against Jake's throat, scenting him, and running his teeth against the mating mark that he claimed again and again every time they had sex.
"Me too, pretty. Gonna come inside you and knot you so good— fuck, fuck, shit, pretty," Heeseung cried out, and it was enough to send Jake over the edge too.
Coming down from their high, Jake nuzzled into Heeseung's side, tracing shapes over his skin. "I don't think I've ever seen this one before," Jake said, tracing what looked like a bite mark on Heeseung's bicep.
"This is from our wedding night. You accidentally bared your neck to me, and your scent was driving me crazy. I had to gain some self-control, so I bit myself so I didn't bite you without your consent," Heeseung explained, rubbing Jake's very pregnant belly, feeling the baby move every now and then.
"You what? How have you never said anything before?" Jake asked, his voice filled with surprise.
"I didn't think it was important," Heeseung replied, placing a kiss on the back of Jake's head.
"Still, I can't believe it took me this long to realize it," Jake murmured, his fingers tracing the mark gently.
"It's a thing of the past, don't worry your head, pretty," Heeseung reassured him, his voice soft and soothing.
✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧
"Hyung," Jake tried waking Heeseung, but there was no response. "Alpha," he called again, but still nothing. "Heeseung, hyung, wake up," Jake jostled him this time, and Heeseung groaned.
"Heeseung," Jake said more forcefully, smacking his husband with a pillow, which did the trick.
"What's wrong?" Heeseung jolted upward, concern etching his face.
"I think it's time," Jake said, his voice filled with a mix of excitement and apprehension.
"Time for what?" Heeseung asked, his brow furrowed.
"Heeseung, the baby is coming," Jake replied, and at that, his husband kicked it into high gear, doing everything they had prepared for.
As they made their way to the hospital, Jake started groaning and moaning from pain, his knuckles turning white from gripping the seat. They called both sets of parents on the way and were immediately set up in a room as Heeseung helped Jake into a gown.
It wasn't long after their OB-GYN arrived and cracked a joke with them about their baby's arrival that it was almost time to push. Jake had refused the epidural, wanting to do it all natural for the experience. Maybe down the line, if they were to have more kids, he would consider it, depending on this one.
"Okay, Jake, on my count, I want you to give a big push," the doctor instructed, and Jake did as he was told. Heeseung was there during the whole process, holding Jake's hand as it was crushed, as Jake spewed curses and vile comments towards him about putting him in this position. Not once did Heeseung take it to heart because he knew it wasn't true.
"Jake, I see the head. A few more pushes, and you'll see your beautiful baby," the doctor encouraged.
"I can—I can't," Jake cried out, tired and exhausted.
"Yes, yes, you can, Jake. Don't you want to hold your baby?" the doctor asked, her voice firm but gentle.
"No, no, I can't. I'm tired," Jake rambled on, clearly out of it, and the OB-GYN gave Heeseung a look.
"Come on, Jake. You can do this, pretty. We have to meet our baby," Heeseung told him, climbing into the bed behind Jake for physical and emotional support as he encouraged his omega with words, helping him begin pushing again.
Just as the whole room went quiet for a beat, it erupted with loud cries at the sound of their baby. "It's a girl. You have a beautiful, healthy baby girl," the doctor announced.
Jake fell back onto Heeseung as they heard their little girl's cries. "You did it. I'm so proud of you," Heeseung pressed kisses onto Jake's sweaty temple, tears shining in his eyes.
"We did it together," Jake told him, his voice filled with emotion and love.
"Here we go, your baby girl," the doctor said as their baby girl was placed on top of Jake's chest for skin-to-skin contact, and she calmed her crying, realizing she was with her dad.
"She's so tiny and fragile looking," Heeseung trailed a finger over her features and leaned down, placing a kiss on her head.
"She's perfect," Jake mumbled, and Heeseung hummed in agreement.
Although the two of them had their ups and downs in their search for each other, their love persisted regardless of the years they spent apart. It was stronger than ever, especially with their new addition, their beautiful baby girl.
