Summary:

“Even our own sons don’t take care of the house like you do, Riku-chan,” his mother says, reaching up to pinch Riku’s cheek. Her husband hums in agreement, patting Riku on the back and offering to buy Riku some desserts soon.

The thought of Riku being the perfect son that his parents have always wanted has crossed his mind more times than he can count and now that he’s living in their home it’s glaringly obvious. They praise him as if he’s their son—they adore him as if he’s their son. Riku thrives under the attention. Yushi watches him; the way Riku ducks his head down with a reddened face. He lets out a laugh that’s more like a giggle and it has Yushi feeling sick to his stomach.

“That’s not true,” Riku shakes his head, “Everyone does their share around the house. I just wanted to help out a little more since Auntie refused to let me pay rent.”

And there it is—Riku with the perfect, humble response. Yushi balls up his fists and goes back to his room.

For years the name Maeda Riku has brought a wave of anxiety over Yushi. And then Riku moves into the Tokuno family home and Yushi spirals.

Work Text:

Tokuno Yushi spends every summer break the same way. It’s a time for him to decompress, to take multiple days to reply to messages from his friends, and, most importantly, a time for him to game until the early hours of the morning. It’s not the greatest or healthiest routine but it’s his and he loves it.

His parents break the news to him on his first day of freedom—another person will be staying in the Tokuno household for the foreseeable future. In Yushi’s room. His routine is ruined before it even begins and it makes Yushi’s sense of self crack into little sharp pieces along with it.

It’s ridiculous. Yes, Yushi still lives with his family, but he is an adult. He’s nearly a university graduate, for god sake, so why does his privacy have to be invaded? This is his home as much as it’s his parents’ and brother’s, so why is he the only one that has to make such a sacrifice here for someone he doesn’t even know?

After an entire day of moping around, his father rearranges everything Yushi owns to make enough space for a second bed in his small room, and to make his life even worse his mother packs away his PC. “You’re a big boy now, Yuu-kun,” she tells him, “A few weeks without that monitor in front of you will do you some good. You can spend your free time learning from our Riku-chan. How does that sound?”

Yushi isn’t an angry person. He’s always been told he’s too soft-spoken, that he needs to speak up, and now he sits on the edge of his bed, hands balled up into fists on his lap as he watches his only happiness getting ready to get put into storage for the summer. He doesn’t say anything; not because he doesn’t want to, but because he can’t. This frustration—this anger—only peeks out when that name gets brought up.

“Mama, I got a 4 in literature!”

“I hear Riku-chan was graded a 5.”

“I’ve signed up to volunteer this weekend!”

“Riku-chan’s mama told me that he’s been helping at the local retirement home for the last three summers.”

Riku-chan this, Riku-chan that; it’s gotten to the point where Yushi doesn’t tell his family his achievements until he’s explicitly asked about them. Hearing that name in passing gets him pissed off more than anything.

“Yuu-kun, come downstairs to say hi to our Riku-chan!”

There’s never been a face put to Maeda Riku’s name before which is odd considering how often Yushi’s parents speak about him. The Maeda Riku in Yushi’s mind has molded into an ugly conformation that’s more creature than human. Yushi has been teased for his height over the years and so the Riku in his head is shorter. Riku’s grades have always been better than Yushi’s and so the Riku in his mind is a bully that forces his classmates to give him all of the answers. Yushi expects Riku to be disrespectful and gross because it’s the only way he’s been able to cope with the constant comparisons and lack of praise or appreciation throughout his life.

In reality, Yushi has to look up to him. Riku is taller, he has layered hair that frames his pretty face perfectly, and his black tank top fits him a bit too well. He’s moved here from the countryside for an office job which is unbelievable—Riku looks like he would suit working in a bar in Shinjuku, or Yushi can even imagine him modelling for some streetwear brands.

Riku bows down to Yushi’s parents first, and then his older brother, and then finally he meets Yushi’s eyes. He bows equally as low to Yushi despite being older than him. “Thank you for having me.”

That night, Riku sits on the edge of his own new bed. With his nice face and piercings and baggy jeans, Yushi had expected Riku to be the type to throw himself face first onto his bed and start snoring away, or even the type to loudly call his friends and keep Yushi up until the morning, but Yushi is proved wrong. Riku had placed a small blanket onto his bed and sat on it, keeping his legs pressed together and his hands on his lap. He’s been looking around with wide eyes ever since and Yushi’s been not so subtly watching his every move.

Riku snaps out of it and looks over to Yushi. “I already asked Auntie about this, but I can sleep on the couch if it’s more comfortable for you.”

It’s a kind offer. Thoughtful, even. Yushi wonders if Riku has realised he’s stepping into a place that does not want him. Or maybe he feels as awkward as Yushi, but that’s something Yushi cannot imagine; a handsome guy like Riku would never feel awkward about sleeping in a room with another guy. Not with an introvert that barely says a word, anyway.

“I’m thankful for the bed,” Riku carries on, seemingly assuming Yushi’s silence is an invitation to continue. “But I don’t want to intrude on your personal space, Yuu-chan.”

Oh. Nobody has called Yushi that in a long time—not since he was a kid. His ears heat up and he looks away.

It’s not like it’s Yushi’s decision to make; it’s his parents, and what they say goes. And so even though he really wishes he could push Riku out of his room and let him sleep in the living room where their dog whines all night long, Yushi murmurs, “It’s fine,” before laying down on his bed and facing the wall.

The main light is off, leaving only the warmth of the lamp illuminating the room. Yushi’s eyes trail after Riku’s moving silhouette on the wall, and he watches as Riku’s hands lower to his hips, then rise and—oh, fuck, Riku is definitely taking his top off right now. Yushi squeezes his eyes shut.

“I’m gonna wash up,” Riku says, followed by a little more shuffling around. Yushi lets out a quiet hum of acknowledgement and Riku leaves.

Yushi hides himself under his covers in shame. Hopefully his flushed ears weren’t obvious. Hopefully Riku doesn’t care about Yushi enough to even notice.

Riku seems perfect. Yushi had hoped Riku would show up and he’d actually be the rudest person he’d ever met but Riku had carried his suitcases into their room rather than rolling them all over their clean floors. He respectfully bowed at each individual family member and thanked them all for letting him stay with a basket of fresh fruits. He even apologised to Yushi who has always been one step behind him in everything because he felt guilty for intruding. And then there’s Riku’s pretty face and handsome body line and stylish clothes. God, he doesn’t have a single flaw. There’s not one single thing that Yushi can obsess over and pick apart to make Riku seem human.

That’s what angers Yushi the most.

Yushi attempts to sleep normally that night. Riku doesn’t snore and nor does he loudly toss and turn during his sleep, but his soft, barely audible breaths, and the thoughts pressing at Yushi’s head telling him there’s something new in his life has Yushi staring at the wall for hours and hours until his eyelids become too heavy.

By the time Yushi wakes up, Riku is already dressed and nearly ready for the day. He gently lays his collection of earrings and necklaces down onto his bed.

Yushi absentmindedly reaches out for his Switch. His brain is already yearning for gaming, stimulation—a distraction—and so he powers it on.

“Good morning,” Riku chirps, bringing up a pair of earrings to his ears. He looks in the mirror before placing them back down. “Do you like coffee?”

“Coffee?” Yushi questions, the social part of his brain not quite working so soon after waking up. Riku must be a morning person. Yushi is most certainly not. Yushi replies with, “It’s okay.”

“I don’t really like anything bitter, so I prefer fruit teas and boba over coffee,” Riku chooses another pair and does the same thing again. This time he does a cute little nod to himself and puts the earrings in. “Since I’m new to the area I wanna know which places are good and which are not.”

Yushi nods along but he’s not sure what Riku wants him to reply with so he doesn’t speak. Instead, he opens up Super Mario with a newfound determination to finish the level he got stuck on a few months ago. The familiar cartoonish music fills up the room. Yushi turns it down then starts the level.

“Um, Yushi? Do you know anywhere that’s good?”

Riku’s voice makes him lose focus. He presses the wrong button a couple of times in panic and his Mario runs straight into an incoming goomba, falls off the platform, and dies. Yushi puts his Switch down and breathes out. “I don’t know,” he says, wondering if he should give up on this level again already. “I don’t really go out.”

He doesn’t have the opportunity to be embarrassed over his confession because Riku looks over at him with those sparkly eyes and a grin spreads onto his face. “I’m a total homebody too!”

Then why are you asking me where you should go? Yushi thinks, but doesn’t ask. He’s already spoken to Riku for far too long today and if the time is correct on his Switch, it’s only nine in the morning.

Riku’s expression falters at the lack of reaction from Yushi. His attention goes back to his jewellery. He carefully places each individual piece back into his jewellery boxes, makes his bed, then leaves.

 ˗ˋˏ ♡ ˎˊ˗

Maeda Riku is unlike anyone Yushi has ever met. Despite his cold and edgy appearance he’s sweet. Cute. His job doesn’t start until a few weeks after he arrives in Tokyo and so other than experimenting with different smoothies and juices at the local cafes, Riku spends most of his time helping around the house. He sweeps their floors everyday, mops multiple times a week, and if a dish is left on the tables or counters for even a single second, Riku has picked it up and is already scrubbing it with a sponge.

With a total of five people now living in their house, having another set of hands helping out with the cleaning should relieve Yushi. He should be thankful that Riku isn’t sitting around leaving his stuff everywhere like he expected him to, but he isn’t because every evening when Yushi’s family come back home after a day of work he is forced to listen to everyone sing their praises to Riku for all the hard work he’s done.

The sweet smell of caramelised onions and spices linger in the kitchen. Water trickles into the sink. Yushi hesitantly sticks his fingers under the running water to check the temperature. It burns. He hisses and flinches back.

Riku appears next to him. He picks up Yushi’s plate and reaches over to grab a sponge, smiling as he says, “I’ll wash it up for you, Yuu-chan.”

There’s that nickname again. Yushi’s only a year younger than Riku—barely his junior—so why does he call Yushi in such an endearing way? As if Riku finds him cute? Child-like? Yushi is anything but petty but the implications of the nickname has him snatching the plate from Riku’s hands.

“I’m not a child,” Yushi tells him firmly. He takes the sponge from Riku, too. “I can wash my own dishes.”

“I know,” Riku furrows his eyebrows. “I didn’t mean anything by it. I only wanted to help.”

“I don’t need your help.”

Everyone else in the house may be under Riku’s spell but Yushi won’t fall for it. A little bit of cleaning and a few shy smiles aren’t enough to make up for years of humiliation.

Yushi slowly cleans his plate whilst Riku hovers around in the kitchen, looking for something to keep him busy. Is Riku the type of person that has to help people otherwise he can’t function? A people pleaser? Or is he so used to having everyone easily agree to him that he can’t fathom that Yushi has actually said no to him?

“Tonights dinner was nice,” Riku says, grabbing a kitchen towel and standing far too close to Riku. He wipes up the water Yushi has spilled on the counter that Yushi was planning on cleaning up himself but Riku doesn’t give him the opportunity. He never does. Riku, like his family, must be convinced Yushi can’t do anything himself. That he’s useless. “Auntie’s cooking makes me miss home a little.”

“Then why don’t you just go back?”

In the moment, he expects Riku to explode and finally show his true colours. All he wants is for Riku to shout back at him, to break his mother’s expensive plates, or shove Yushi against the counter. To prove his parents wrong—that Riku is not a better person than Yushi.

All Riku does is blink a few times, taken aback. He opens his mouth to speak then shuts it. He gulps before trying again, “I’m… I’m going to bed early tonight. Goodnight, Yushi.”

Yushi has to admit he’s a little drunk. He’s not a lightweight by any means but the stress that has been dragging his body down and down and down recently has been bad enough that he’s been craving a drink with his friends. That was the entire reason he agreed to go out with them that night; to relieve himself from all the tension in his mind and body.

But what Yushi had said to Riku that evening and Riku’s reaction had made him have a revelation. And a revelation with alcohol in the mix is never a good thing.

Riku is sweet. He is kind. He’s come into Yushi’s life and tried his hardest to not be an inconvenience to him but all Yushi has shown him is cold stares and blunt words. He’s never been an annoyance or tried to make Yushi’s life worse in any way—it was the pressure from his family to always be like Riku, to be as good as Riku, that distorted his mind into thinking Riku was some video game villain. Yushi has come to accept that Riku is as perfect as his family has always made him out to be and Yushi has been finding any tiny reason to let out all of his frustrations out on Riku.

Riku’s shoulders curling forward and his soft words full of insecurity, breaking right at the end, will forever be haunting Yushi’s conscience and he has to deal with that. He wishes he could have taken everything he said back. Wishes he could’ve choked on the words rather than letting them be blurted out and hurting the one person in this house that is nothing but selfless. But it’s too late.

And so when he wakes up tomorrow morning Yushi decides he’ll ignore the headache he’s bound to have and he’ll swallow what’s left of his pride by apologising to Riku. Maybe he’ll make it up to him by cafe hopping since Riku seems to like doing that. Or maybe Yushi can show him the arcade he used to frequent as a kid.

It’s not that late; only midnight, but Riku sleeps earlier than Yushi and therefore wakes up earlier, too. When Yushi tries to quietly slip into their room he expects Riku to be fast asleep but he’s met with Riku with red eyes and a pink nose staring at him.

Yushi closes the door and throws his bag onto the floor. He says, “I’m sorry, Riku.”

Riku sniffles and hides his face with his blanket. “It’s okay,” he croaks out, “You didn’t wake me up.”

“Not-not for that,” Yushi replies. Everything is too constricting. The walls feel like they’re closing in on him and his clothes are clinging to his body in all the wrong ways. He needs everything off, off, off. He struggles with getting his jumper off, then shirt, before he manages to get the words out, “I’ve been so mean to you, so I’m sorry.”

“It’s okay,” Riku repeats, quicker and more certain this time. Yushi pulls on a sleep shirt then looks over to Riku to argue that it’s not okay; Yushi has been a dick this entire time and desperately needs to make it up to him somehow. “I’m serious. I wouldn’t be happy if an annoying person came into my house and started sleeping in my room either.”

Yushi halts his search for pyjama pants and walks over to Riku’s bed. “You’re not annoying,” he says and it’s not the most convincing he’s sounded considering he did in fact get annoyed and snap at Riku only a few hours earlier, but his usually soft voice is firm and his eye contact is relentless, begging for Riku to take him seriously. “I’m really sorry, Riku.”

There’s dried tear streaks down Riku’s cheeks, his eyes are still red and glassy from rubbing his tears away and his lips are all dry and cracked and yet he’s the prettiest he’s ever been in Yushi’s eyes. Yushi really is the worst person in the world. The whole reason Riku looks this vulnerable is because of Yushi and he’s literally trying to get Riku to forgive him so he should not be thinking shit like this, but oh well.

Riku kicks off his bedding. “Let’s talk.”

Yushi gets onto his bed. The single bed barely fits two grown men on it but they make it work; Riku’s shorts have risen up and his bare legs are nearly completely exposed as they slowly inch further and further onto Yushi’s. Why the fuck did Yushi not grab any pyjama pants before getting into bed with Riku?

“Tell me what I did,” Riku says. “I don’t want to upset you, so tell me what I can do to make you like me.”

“Nothing,” Yushi replies. He awkwardly places his hands on his own legs, hoping the contact will make him stop thinking about Riku’s skin on his own doesn’t freak him out a bit. “You haven’t done anything to me. It’s…” Riku looks at him expectantly. Yushi sighs and his lips become looser from the alcohol. “All my life my parents have compared me to you. It doesn’t matter how well I’ve done or what I’ve achieved—they didn’t care because you’re better than me.”

“Yushi…”

“I pushed all my insecurities onto you, Riku. Don’t change anything about yourself for me.”

“I didn’t know,” Riku whispers. His body has become hot and skin a little clammy against Yushi’s and Yushi finds himself not really minding it. “How they could have spent years with you and not be able to see what I see it mind blowing. Really.”

“What do you see?”

Riku’s lips curl up into a shy smile. “Somebody that wants love.”

The two of them sit there for hours, bodies slowly curling into one another and hushed whispers filling up the night. Riku keeps the conversation going with small anecdotes about his life and how nervous he is to start his new job whilst Yushi speaks up occasionally but the more he sobers up, the sleepier he gets and the shorter and less thought out his replies come out. Riku doesn’t seem to mind though.

 ˗ˋˏ ♡ ˎˊ˗

Yushi can be described as a total introvert. As cute and gentle, and he may have been babied his entire life, but at the end of the day Yushi is a man. A man with an overactive imagination. Honestly speaking, it’s a miracle that Yushi hasn’t had any wet dreams since Riku’s arrival because usually when he’s stressed out his mind gets a little bit more… creative, you could say. It’s a natural bodily response to calm his nerves. An instinct.

The justifications of it don’t make his current situation any better though.

Yushi had fallen asleep first with his head leaning on Riku’s shoulder. When he wakes up their positions have flipped with Riku’s head nestled into the crook of Yushi’s neck and his legs thrown over Yushi’s lap. He clings onto Yushi like a kitten that doesn’t want its owner to leave them.

Riku stirs. His legs stretch out and brush a little higher and—fuck. Yushi groans. He’s hard. He’s so very hard and Riku is on him right now. He’s inescapable. Yushi has no idea what he’s supposed to do in a situation like this so he sits and waits, attempting to slowly curve his waist away from Riku.

The moment Riku stirs again and seems a little bit more awake, Yushi flees to the bathroom. His cock is all wet and sticky against his boxers. He pulls them down. His cock springs out and he’s leaking pre-cum more than he ever has before.

Go away, go away, go away, he begs to himself. In an attempt to get his erection to go down he fills his mind with the most unsexy things he can think of but every single thought somehow leads him straight back to Riku and Riku’s thighs and his lips and his hands and—

Fuck, there’s something wrong with him. He doesn’t touch himself. He can’t touch himself. His mind is clouded by Riku and they have only just become sort-of-friends he cannot let his stupid horny brain ruin this for him.

He takes a cold shower and returns to their room with only a towel because his boxers are still too sticky and gross to put back on. Riku’s still in bed with his covers kicked off. Yushi doesn’t look at him.

“Are you okay?” Riku asks. His voice is all soft around the edges.

Yushi opens his drawers and rummages around for some comfortable clothes. “Just hungover I think.”

“Ah,” Riku drags himself to the edge of his bed. “I’ll go get you the best hangover cure I know. Wait for me, okay, Yuu-chan?”

Yushi’s life is anything but peaceful so it happens again and again.

One single night of being pressed up against Riku, so close that Riku’s breath fanned against his skin, has turned out to be poisonous. Slowly but surely that build up of anger and frustration towards him subsides which should be a good thing but every part of his mind is becoming tainted by thoughts that Yushi cannot let himself entertain. He’s never been the type of person to get horny much and his sex drive has always been lower than his peers but Riku’s presence in his life has done something to him. Changed him into some sort of freak.

Large hands and an inviting mouth that look far too much like the man that sleeps across the room from him have been frequenting his dreams, and every time Yushi wakes up he mourns the pleasure they bring him. Guilt twists into a tight knot in his gut whenever he misses the sensations because the thought of that person in his dreams becoming more and more Riku-like each time makes him feel disgusted. Not at Riku, but at himself.

Because he and Riku have become closer. Their friendship is blooming into something that Yushi never would have ever expected. It blows his mind that Riku somehow likes Yushi despite his initial cruelty and his lack of verbal responses. Riku now picks up on all of Yushi’s body language and sometimes he wonders if Riku is actually a mind reader. He desperately prays he isn’t.

And Yushi likes Riku, too. Maybe in a different way that’s a little bit fucked up, but regardless he still wants to spend nearly every waking moment with Riku.

The only time they’re separated these days is when Riku’s gone out in the morning to get his breakfast and drink. And so that becomes the time Yushi sneaks into the bathroom and quietly tends to his now daily erection.

Today is different though. When Yushi wakes up his parents are out on a day trip, his brother is spending the weekend at his girlfriend’s house, and judging by the silence in the house, Riku has gone to explore the menu at a new cafe. It’s the perfect environment for Yushi to jerk off guilt-free.

He slips into the shower and this time he doesn’t chew on his bottom lip to stop any sounds coming out when he wraps his hand around his cock. He imagines it’s the man in his dream’s hand rather than his own—larger, a little softer.

Time stretches on and on. Steam fogs up the mirrors, water drips from the walls, and Yushi still hasn’t came. Pinching his nipples doesn’t work because he’s not sensitive there, attempting to prod a finger at his hole is uncomfortable, and it’s not like he doesn’t feed good, cause, fuck, it is, but it isn’t enough. And so he stops. He breathes for a moment and closes his eyes. He imagines the man in his dreams is here with Yushi, stroking his head. It’s tender. Loving. He bends down and kneels in front of Yushi, smooth, tan legs against the tiles, and strokes Yushi’s cock. It’s still not enough and with how long he’s been on the edge, it’s painful

Yushi finally lets himself imagine the rest of him; his long, wet hair sticking to his face and those pretty eyes staring up at him. He thinks of Riku’s lips curling up before cutely asking, “Am I making you feel good?”

Yushi throws his head back against the wall but the ache in his skull gets ignored when Riku’s hand—in reality, his own—strokes him faster. “So good,” Yushi pants. Water streams straight down onto his head. His fingers have become pruney for being wet for so long. “You’re so good for me, Riku.”

Riku inches closer. His lips are right in front of Yushi’s cock and all Yushi wants is them on him. Around him. Anything. Yushi bucks forward and he’s so sure Riku will understand what he wants without saying a word but Riku moves back and blinks. “Then why won’t you come for me?”

One more stroke and Yushi’s over the edge, a string of Riku, Riku, Riku, spilling from his lips as he comes. He leans against the wall and slides onto the floor, legs weak and shaky from how intense it had all been. He opens his eyes and watches his cum wash down the drain.

After he jerks off, Yushi’s body and mind start functioning properly. Usually the siren of shame will be the first thing to scream at him, but this time all he can think of is food. On the walk to the kitchen to get some breakfast he realises the TV in the living room is on. He grabs a snack and peeks into the living room.

The view has him panicking; Riku sits on the couch, one leg crossed over the other. He mindlessly scrolls on his phone with one hand whilst the other holds one of those mango smoothies he likes. How long has he been home? Has he been upstairs—did he hear Yushi?

He still has over half of his smoothie left. He can’t have been here for long, surely. And even if he’s been here the entire time he’s been distracted with the TV and whatever he’s looking at on his phone, right? And if his ears are good enough to hear Yushi in the shower, he definitely would have heard Yushi walking around the house and stopping in the doorway, but he still hasn’t even noticed Yushi’s presence. Riku didn’t hear him. There’s no way he could have heard anything, Yushi’s certain of it.

Being in Riku’s proximity after using his face in his imaginations—after being so desperate to have his cock in Riku’s mouth—makes his stomach drop. Guilt eats away at him and it’s not just a small gnawing feeling; it’s chunks of him being ripped apart by each bite.

Oh, God. Yushi’s awful, isn’t he? His hands get all clammy and he drops his bag of snacks onto the floor.

No, no, no. Riku turns to face Yushi and without a word he pats the spot next to him on the couch. He has to act like nothing is wrong so Yushi ignores the thousands of thoughts in his mind and the thumping against his ribs and sits next to him.

Riku doesn’t speak. He doesn’t even look at Yushi again. Yushi tells himself this is normal Riku behaviour; he may be a morning person, but he’s still an introvert that has to recharge after leaving the house. His silence is not because he knows Yushi just came whilst basically chanting his name because Riku doesn’t know about that. Riku didn’t hear him, he can’t have heard him, he definitely did not hear Yushi—

Yushi takes a peek at Riku in his peripheral vision. He’s still scrolling on his phone, completely oblivious to the torment Yushi is putting himself through. Condensation from his cup drips onto his hand. Onto his jeans. Yushi doesn’t look down to his legs because if he does he’ll only think about dream-Riku’s bare legs on the tiles or real-Riku’s skin rubbing against his own and he really can not be thinking things like that when he’s trying to act like everything is normal.

The longer the silence between them goes on for, the more Yushi becomes convinced that the one sided tension isn’t as one sided as he tries to believe. Maybe he should say something. Yeah, he should.

“Um,” is all he manages to get out. Riku’s eyes flick over to Yushi. He doesn’t turn completely towards him. Yushi looks around, urgently trying to figure out what the hell he should say and simultaneously he wishes he never had the idea to speak up at all. Normal Yushi wouldn’t be acting like this and he knows Riku knows that. “What…what are you watching?”

“The news,” Riku says. His attention goes back to his phone for a while and Yushi can only watch him, trying to figure out what is going on in Riku’s head. He must feel Yushi’s eyes still on him because he sighs and places his phone and drink onto the table. His hands go to his lap and he digs his fingernails into his palms before saying, “I heard you.”

Oh fuck, he knows. Of course he fucking knows. Yushi can’t even defend himself here—can’t even feign ignorance because before he knows it he flinches with an, “Eh?”

“Earlier, whilst you were in the shower. I heard you.” Riku says, face down and burning red as if he’s the one that has done something wrong here. Yushi can’t speak. If he opens his mouth he thinks the only thing that would come out is whatever he ate yesterday and so he sits and waits for Riku to call him names—to call him disgusting, a pervert, a freak, but Riku looks up and says, “You’re lucky I like you, you know.”

He’s not entirely sure who leans in first—all Yushi knows is that Riku’s lips are soft and wet on his own. He tilts his head and lets his jaw go lax so Yushi shoves his tongue into his mouth. Yushi’s never been a fan of messy kisses but Riku tastes sweet, slightly tangy, like the smoothie that he’s been drinking and his saliva can’t possibly gross Yushi out whilst he lets out soft moans when he hasn’t even been touched yet.

Riku draws him in impossibly closer, placing his thighs on either side of Yushi’s and hovering over his lap. Yushi cranes his head up to kiss him and his neck soon starts aching. His hands that have been uselessly doing nothing but kneading the couch latch onto Riku’s hips and push him back down. Their crotches brush and Riku pulls away from Yushi’s lips with a groan. The noise goes straight to Yushi’s quickly hardening dick. Riku fidgets around on top of Yushi, trying to get some sort of friction but Yushi holds him still and grinds up again and again.

The strings of little noises Riku lets out are addictive. Yushi can sit here all day dry humping Riku to hear all the different sounds he makes. Riku has other ideas, panting out a, “Yuu-chan,” into his ear, “Yushi. Bedroom. Let’s do it there.”

Yushi has been on top of Riku, lazily kissing him. Every time Riku tries to deepen the kiss Yushi pulls away—he wants to savour the taste of Riku on his tongue. He has to be greedy now so he can never forget what kissing Riku is like.

Riku pulls Yushi off of him by the hair. “Do something,” he demands, “Can’t I suck you off? I need something.”

“No,” Yushi quickly gets out. If Riku’s mouth goes anywhere near his cock he will definitely come before he even gets to touch Riku properly. It’s too embarrassing to say that thought out loud so he lowers himself down to Riku’s legs. He kneads one of Riku’s thighs, spreading them apart, and his skin glistens under the light from sweat. Yushi needs to taste him. He needs his skin in his mouth. Right now. Yushi licks a stripe across Riku’s thigh.

“What are you-”

He nips and sucks at Riku’s skin, peppering love bites all along the inside of his thigh. His hand strokes Riku’s other leg, fingertips grazing the hem of Riku’s boxers but purposely not touching him any higher.

Riku squirms, “Yushi, hurry, or I’ll do it myself. I’m serious.”

“Be patient,” Yushi says, Riku’s flesh in between his teeth. Riku’s hand lowers to his hard-on. Yushi swats it away and abandons Riku’s thighs to take off Riku’s boxers.

Ah. Of course even Riku’s cock is pretty. Every single part of him is, it seems. Yushi circles his hand around Riku’s cock and slowly strokes him only to appease him. Riku’s hips buck up with a cry and so Yushi goes back to sucking and biting at Riku’s neglected thigh. He leaves his marks and spit all over him, biting further and further up Riku’s leg until he reaches his ass. Riku whines when Yushi takes his hand from Riku’s cock and parts his cheeks. He circles the tip of his finger around Riku’s hole, watching the way it contracts at his touch, then tries to push his way inside.

“Not dry!” Riku nags. Oh. Right. Yeah. Yushi’s never been with a guy before and so he doesn’t really have lube lying around but he wants to fuck Riku so badly that he doesn’t realise Riku’s reaching out to his nightstand, instead telling Riku to turn over and propping him up on his knees, ass up and face down.

A shaky moan leaves Riku’s mouth and he buries his face into his pillow when Yushi spits on him and runs his tongue over Riku’s hole. Riku pushes his pelvis further into Yushi’s touch. It convinces Yushi that he’s doing the right thing so he spreads Riku’s cheeks out even more and licks and licks and licks until Riku’s hole becomes looser under him, listening to Riku get drunk off of the pleasure with his muffled noises.

Yushi pushes his tongue past the ring of muscle. Riku cries out, his legs trembling underneath him as Yushi fucks his tongue in and out of Riku’s hole. If only he could see the look on Riku’s face as he eats him out. Fuck. In the moment, he decides he needs to be able to see Riku’s face when he’s coming. He might die if he doesn’t.

With Riku’s hole all wet and loose, Yushi prods a finger at it again. It gives way this time, letting Yushi push in.

“Wait,” Riku chokes out, raising his head from the pillow. “Let me just–”

Yushi pulls his hand away and Riku opens the top drawer of his nightstand and brings out a small bottle of lube. Riku hands it to him. Yushi hesitates—he hadn’t even considered for a moment that Riku would bring lube along with him from Fukui. Or, even worse, that he would buy it whilst staying here with Yushi. He tries to not linger on what that would mean for too long.

“Hey,” Riku shakes the bottle in front of him, “Stop acting like this is your first time with a guy.”

He snatches the bottle from Riku. “It is.”

“Eh? Seriously? Tokuno Yushi, tell me I’m not your first, right?”

A flush creeps across Yushi’s face. He pours some lube onto his fingers before saying, “You’re not. I’ve been with girls before. I kinda know what I'm doing.”

Riku lightly pushes Yushi’s shoulder. “Don’t speak about being with girls when you’re about to finger me,” he huffs. He makes himself more comfortable and parts his legs, “Come on. Since I’m your senior I’ll walk you through it.”

Yushi warms up the lube in his fingers as Riku instructs, then at last he gets to push his middle finger past Riku’s entrance. Riku is quiet but doesn’t hold back on his moans. He tells Yushi when he wants him to move faster and when he’s ready for another finger, and then another, and when Yushi thrusts his fingers in just the right place Riku’s legs try to shut but his hips keep snapping in rhythm with Yushi’s hand. He’s coy and yet demanding at the same time.

“More,” Riku whines, clutching the bedsheets. “Add another.”

“Can’t I go in now?” Yushi asks, resting his cheek on Riku’s leg.

“Ah,” Riku opens his eyes. He stops his movements, composing himself and making eye contact with Yushi for a moment before looking away. His chest rises up and down in time with his breaths and he nods.

Yushi takes his fingers out and wipes the gross feeling of lube onto Riku’s sheets. He pumps his cock in his hand a couple of times with a grunt and presses the head against Riku’s hole. He watches the way Riku squeezes his eyes shut, getting ready for the pressure. Riku waits, and waits, and waits. He purses his lips and the moment he opens his eyes, wanting to complain, Yushi pushes in.

At first his thrusts are slow and sloppy; Riku’s insides mold around Yushi, squeezing his cock just right, and Yushi can’t think straight. Can’t move properly. It’s like he’s become drunk off of Riku. He throbs inside of him, terrified that if he moves to fast he’ll come and Riku will never want him to fuck him again.

Riku impatiently wiggles his hips. He’s probably seconds away from nagging at Yushi to fuck him properly and so he holds onto Riku, gripping onto the flesh of his hips between his fingers, and angles Riku’s waist up. He slowly pulls out to the tip then buries himself back inside, Yushi’s hips slamming into Riku’s ass. He carries on like that with Riku gasping for it, clenching around him. He’s so tight and yet so wet with lube that Yushi can still smoothly slip in and out of him.

The more Yushi fucks him, the needier and fussier Riku becomes. He wants Yushi to go faster, harder, and Yushi gives and gives and gives until Riku’s basically purring with pleasure underneath him. “Kiss me,” he demands, one hand clawing into the back of Yushi’s head and bringing him down to his level. Their mouths meet and they swallow each other’s moans. Riku murmurs about how good Yushi feels against his lips and Yushi stares at Riku’s long lashes—at the way he squeezes his eyes shut even more when Yushi bites down on Riku’s lip. Then he angles his thrusts a little differently to see Riku’s reaction and he’s crying out, “Right there. More, more.”

He doesn’t know how he’s done it—Yushi is somehow fucking into the prettiest, most handsome man he’s ever met and that man is under him asking for more and more. God, Yushi wants to come inside of him so badly. He wants to fill Riku up and watch as Riku comes completely undone because of him. At the same time he also doesn’t want this to end because once they finish, Yushi’s not sure he can ever come with only his hand and imaginations ever again. Not after knowing how fucking good Riku feels. But Yushi’s hips are already stuttering and he knows it’s the beginning of the end for him.

“Riku, I’m close,” Yushi mouths at Riku’s earlobe.

“Me too,” Riku says, breathy. Yushi pulls at Riku’s hoops with his teeth. Riku shudders. “Touch me. Please.”

Yushi shoves his hand in between them. He clumsily thumbs over Riku’s tip and Riku arches into him, body not sure if he should be bucking his hips into Riku’s hand or bouncing back on the cock in his ass. He clenches down and Yushi goes over the edge, coming before he even realises it. He panics, trying to pull out since they didn’t discuss Yushi coming inside of Riku, but Riku whines out a “No, no, don’t go,” and wraps his legs around Yushi’s waist, locking him in place. Yushi thrusts a few more times before his dick starts twitching in overstimulation. He comes to a stop.

“Just–” Riku clenches down on him again. Yushi hisses but doesn’t pull out and Riku starts moving his hips up and down again. “Just give me a minute, Yushi. That’s all I need.”

Yushi nods. He’ll let Riku use his body as he pleases. Riku digs his nails into Yushi’s skin, scratching down his back as he desperately rocks his hips up. Every movement makes the nerves in Yushi’s cock feel like they’re about to explode but he ignores it, quickening his hand pumping Riku’s dick.

Riku’s toes start curling in and his nails on Yushi’s back start breaking skin. “I’m–” he gasps, legs trembling. “I–”

Ropes of cum spurt out of Riku’s cock. Panting, he releases Yushi, utterly spent. Yushi pulls out of him with a wince. He wipes up Riku’s cum, then tries to scoop his own out of Riku’s swollen hole.

“Later,” Riku wiggles his butt away, cheeks flushing red. “I’m sensitive,” he murmurs, then pulls Yushi into another kiss. It’s sweeter than their last with Riku happily humming into it. The corner of Yushi’s lips curl up and then he’s laughing. “What?”

“Nothing,” Yushi moves his head down, kissing and giggling against Riku’s jaw. “I’m just happy,” he says, and it’s the truth. He’s so very rarely happy in his home, and so it’s a surprise even to Yushi that he’s here right now, in his bedroom pressed up against the man he’s been dreaming about. And it’s even more unbelievable that the person is Maeda Riku—Riku-chan—who’s name has haunted him for years.

Riku starts laughing too, “Did you like it? Did I feel good, Yuu-chan?”

“Mm. Riku felt good.”

“Then why didn’t you sound the same as you did earlier in the shower? Riku, Riku, Riku,” he copies Yushi’s softer tone, even down to the break in his voice at the end. Yushi face starts burning. He nuzzles his head into the crook of Riku's neck in shame. “I wanted to hear it," Riku sighs, "I must have not been as good as you expected.”

“Eh?” Yushi exclaims, propping himself up to hover above Riku.

He realises Riku is only teasing him as soon as he sees the look on his face. Riku bites his bottom lip and his eyes have a playful glint to them. He pushes Yushi off of him and climbs on top. “Let’s do it again. I wanna hear you this time, okay, Yuu-chan? Don’t hold back for even a second.”
