Robert entered the meeting room with the Z - Team, or Phoenix Team ready and waiting at their seats. He stared at them, meeting their eyes as he decided to go through with his idea. He ignored Blonde Blazer standing behind him as he started the meeting.
“Hey listen up, I know that you are the bottom of the barrel. You are trying to better yourselves by being heroes. Well, being heroes takes more than just powers and an attempt. You have to commit to being better and think about what is it about being a hero that makes you want to continue. Therefore, I have an idea to get you all to think.”
He moves past Blonde Blazer and opens the door to reveal Chase holding Beef. He transfers Beef into his arms and closes the door in front of Chase, he definitely won’t like what he threatens the group with.
As Robert turns around, holding Beef in a princess carry, the team hoots and hollers at the sight of Beef. He can see they are already getting attached, he walks around Blonde Blazer and places Beef on the table for them to see. As he pets Beef, he continues.
“This is Beef, Beef is now the mascot dog.”
The team stares at Beef in awe, as they should, with sounds of awe and baby talk pushing past their attempts to be unshaken by the adorable dog.
“Beef here will hopefully be able to encourage you all to do your best as a team during dispatch. For you see, if you don’t do your best. I kill the dog.”
There is a lack of sound, before it erupts into so much sound and powers firing off, sometimes literally, as they all scream at the thought of Beef dying.
From behind the door Chase bursts in and starts adding to noise as he takes Beef from the table and threatens the Z Team for trying to kill Beef and me for threatening Beef.
It was very successful motivation.
