Nedzu was in an oddly green place after throwing a child who had a dimensional quirk to a hero in the field, and the child accidentally opened a portal under him. Oh, lookie here! It seems to be a person in the distance.
Should he call them?
Pros:
- They could help him
- They could be entertaining
- They could give him new information about this place
Cons:
- They could be dangerous
- They could be a scientist (bad kind)
- They could just be boring
What's the fun without risk? If he'll die here, it'll be on his actions if he has anything to do with it!
"Hello there!" he yelled in his most chipper tone, because might as well go out with a smile.
Danny was just floating through the zone, wondering what to do. It's not every day you have to run away because of your parents and government wanting to run dissection/vivisection on you.
He was just deep in thought till someone yelled "Hello there!" in an overly cheerful voice in the distance. Who's over there?
Danny just looked in the distance, and he thinks he sees either a funny-shaped rock or a person (his ghost sense hasn't gone off) and replies, "Hi..?"
There's an awkward silence for a second before they talk again, saying, "I need some assistance, please!" in the same cheerful voice. Not weird rocks, just a weird-shaped person…
…wait? Living person?! In the zone!?
Nedzu feels delighted because it is a person, and now they're closer, he sees what they look like:
- Blindingly white hair
- Vividly glowing green eyes
- About 13-15
- Height about 5'6
- Pale skin
- Hazmat suit(?)
"Hello, young man, would you be able to tell me where I am?" Nedzu asked the boy happily.
The boy looked mildly confused by the question but still answered, "You're in the Ghost Zone, also known as the Infinite Realms…" oh? A different dimension? How fun~
"Well, can you help me get back to my dimension?" Nedzu asked the boy because he might be able to help him.
The boy looked like pure defeat and said, "Yes, I do know how to find the correct one…"
The only way to find and get him to the portal or door to their exact dimension is to go through a waiting room, do like 200 things of paperwork, a medical checkup, and a giant fight of whatever you choose to show you're worthy of gaining the information to find their way back…
…fun.
Danny might as well try and help him, even if he'll feel like he went through he'll afterwards, so the mouse rat guy gets home safe. He's gotta ask this guy his name, mouse rat feels rude to refer to them as.
"Can you please lead me or tell me where, by the way, what's your name?" oh Danny didn't introduce himself either. "My name's Phantom, yours?"
Nedzu knew the name Phantom must not be his real or first name, but he'll fish that outta there later, "My name's Nedzu."
"The only way to get you back to the correct dimension is to go through a waiting room with like 200 forms to be completely filled out, a medical checkup for you, so they'll know your DNA to bring it down to the exact dimension, and a battle of your choice to prove your worthiness to go back." a medical checkup..?
Oh wow, there'll probably be needles…
…can he skip that part? "Phantom, is there a way to skip the medical part?" he really hoped there is.
Phantom just gave a look that looked like he was deep in thought for a second, then replied, "I think all of the stuff is necessary so you don't go to the wrong dimension, except the fight thing, that's stupid." Nedzu couldn't argue with the logic of the checkup; the paperwork sounded like a fun challenge, but the fight would be the true entertainment, any fight of his choice, he knows exactly what to fight with.
"Can you help me get to it than?" he asked because to be honestly he probably couldn't get far anywhere here currently.
"Okay, I'd have to pick you up, you good with that?" Phantom asked sounding kinda shy or embarrassed.
"Alright!" he then just climbed up on the boy's shoulder like he did with Eraser, except without the scarf, and Phantom was kinda startled when he did that, but just started flying to his destination, he assumes. A conversation will be nice now.
"Why are you here alone?"
"What..?"
"You don't look over 18, and this place looks like it could be dangerous. Where are any adults?"
"Oh… I'm fine here alone…"
"The question still isn't answered, do you have family?"
"My parents…"
"Bad history?"
"They were scientist…"
Oh, very bad sign. "They did something to you..?"
"Them and the government…"
"Why..?"
"I didn't fit in as a human genetically with them."
"So they thought it'd be fine to do whatever they liked for science."
Phantom sniffles, "You know..?"
"I was an animal with a common human ability, causing them to get curious; I assume they did the same for you."
"All I did was exist in the same world as them while not fitting their normal, making me a monster…"
"Humans are dumb with things they don't understand."
"Do you hate humans?"
"Not all, just the bad ones."
"What made you different from the animals in your universe?"
"An intelligent quirk."
"What's that?"
"It boosted my intelligence immensely."
"So like a power?"
"In its simplest terms, I'd say."
"I have a few."
"What are they if you don't mind me asking?"
"Flight, invisibility, intangibility, enhanced senses, enhanced physical ability, enchanted healing, not needing to breath, body manipulation, echo blast, telekinesis, go into dreams or video games like they're real, ecto reversal, glowing sorta, ice, shields, possession, duplication, ghostly wail, and I technically don't have a physical body in theory, most of this stuff just develops randomly."
"That's quite a few, more than I've ever heard of, Phantom."
"They're still developing…"
"Developing, as in their not in full power or all of them?"
"I only got them a little less than a year ago. Oh, we're here!"
Phantom landed on a piece of land in front of a giant DMV-looking building. How fun~
He jumped off Phantom and got an idea, "Phantom, would you like to see my world?"
