Note: Please open the letter only if my current mission to Ionia results in my passing. Please open the letter only if the announcement is official. Otherwise, return the letter to the author.
Dearest Prince,
It deeply saddens me that we could not have a proper goodbye before you left to the Argent Mountains. In a few hours my mission to Ionia begins, and I am not certain how nature plans to treat me and our brave crew.
If you read this, it means the waves consumed me, or the magic I decided to follow to the First Lands did it instead. I do know you are not fond of that topic, although I felt an overwhelming need to broaden my knowledge about the flowers - the Wyldblooms. I apologize if you see my actions as disrespectful to your beliefs and opinions. However, I am hopeful my studies will help Demacia and our people.
With me now gone, you will have to trust someone else to be your advisor, guardian. I am aware this is not an easy task for a kind and warm heart like yours, but I sincerely ask you not to dwell on my passing. I would be infinitely glad if you honor me in this moment, but do not let that interfere with your daily life. I may not be here for you physically anymore, but wherever I turn out to end, I am going to support you spiritually.
Demacia and your duties need a strong and healthy leader, and you cannot be one if you let the sorrow control your mind, and therefore body. If you feel grief starts to damage you, please remember about every lesson I taught you since you were a little boy.
When the mind falters, do not blame yourself for experiencing emotions. As much as they might not be the most pleasurable companions, they are trying to communicate what are your current needs. Take a very needed break, visit the Palace Gardens, participate in activities that will benefit you mentally and do what you consider right in the moment. Be patient with yourself. Treat yourself with love. Mourn, but remember about yourself as well.
When the body falters, ensure it receives all necessary resources. Ask the palace chefs for cuisine you appreciate the most, and repeat that daily, until you feel ready to consume different meals again. Train, but do not overwork yourself. Wake up when the Sun rises, and fall asleep when it sets down, letting the Moon shine - proper rest is a crucial element of your well-being.
And most importantly, do not give up. The warrior’s spirit is never broken.
Everything will be alright.
I hope you live a happy and long life,
Seneschal Xin Zhao
Your uncle
