Chapter Text
The sun was setting on the horizon of Skyloft. Dove, having just returned from a flight, hears a faint whimper from somewhere near the landing. She decides to go investigate and finds Groose sitting against a wall near the stables, his face in his knees and emitting muffled cries. She doesn’t know him very well but knows enough to understand he doesn’t have the best reputation but can’t deny she feels bad for him. She hesitates for a moment before placing a hand on his shoulder, the red head immediately looks up at her, clearly surprised someone had came to comfort him at all. Her soft voice breaks the silence “Groose? Whats wrong?” He doesn’t answer immediately, contemplating something before finally answering “nothing, just..letting it out..” after a few minutes of listening to him vent, she reaches out a hand and pulls him up “come on..let’s get you to bed..” she takes his hand and walks him inside, stopping at his dorm room. “Here ya go..if you ever need anything you can come to me” and with that she returns to her own room to prepare for bed. She can’t help but wonder what the real reason he was crying was.
