Chapter Text
Marinette is having a terrible week. Chloe, her best friend, humiliated her in the schoolyard by throwing sweets—which the Chinese girl had made with so much care—at her head. Meanwhile, all her friends stood there, just watching, laughing, and mocking her. Not even Nino, also her best friend, offered her support.
Days passed, and the bullying got worse and worse. every time she entered that school, it became pure hell.
Today, Marinette woke up feeling down. She didn't want to face her "friends" playing their "pranks" on her. She sighed, patting her cheeks, and got up hopefully for the day. Who knows, maybe it could be different?
She got ready with a positive mindset. She picked up her talisman that she had made the day before—to see if it would bring her the luck she needed. However, her cell phone started ringing…
Strange… Who could it be?
Hesitantly, she touched the device and, upon reading the name "unknown" on the screen, considered turning it off, but it could just be the luck of her new talisman taking effect.
"Hello?" the curious blue-haired girl began, but received no answer. Sulking, thinking it was a prank, as she was about to hang up, a bright light from the phone covered her face "What?!" was the last thing she said before being sucked into the device.
No one knows how much time passed before the girl with pigtails opened her eyes. Looking around, she could see the ground and the sky were somewhat… technological? Digital?
White wires of energy crisscrossed the entire area, but she didn't have time to admire them. Because the most important question was:
"Where am I?!" she screamed, startled. Suddenly, a bright light formed beside her.
"What was that?" a voice called out.
“Nino?!” she exclaimed as the light faded.
“Marinette?!” he asked nervously upon seeing his best friend.
Neither could speak anymore because of the new lights that formed around them. And each one brought a different person, but familiar ones. Except for two redheads and a certain blonde family.
“What the hell is going on?!” the athlete said irritably.
“What's happening?” a sweet voice said.
“Kim, Rose, Sabrina, Juleka, Max, Mylene, Ivan?” the protagonist whispered upon seeing each of her classmates “and… Chloe.” she finished with a slightly hurt voice.
“And me too” said a reporter with brown hair and glasses.
“Who are you?” the mayor's daughter questioned.
“You can call me Alya, nice to meet you” she extended her hand.
“Ridiculous!” she exclaimed, turning her face away “completely…” She was interrupted by aman.
"What's happening?" a man in elegant clothes complained.
"Calm down, dear," his wife said.
"Mom, Dad, where are we?" the model asked.
"Adrikins! You're here too!" She ran to the model and hugged him.
"Chloe?!" Adrien asked. "What are you doing here?"
"I can answer that question," an unknown voice declared.
Everyone looked at the person who spoke, it was a teenager—probably the same age as them—her clothes were a large, burgundy sweatshirt and black leggings. And her hair was unusually white.
"But first, I have to find some more spectators," she declared, disappearing.
"Vanished?!" Kim exclaimed.
"A ghost?!" Mylene shouted.
"The probability of it being one is completely zero," said the boy with glasses.
"What are you talking about?" asked the girl from before, behind the athlete.
"What a fright, girl!" exclaimed Kim while the others were still astonished by the albino girl's sudden appearance.
"Sorry," she smiled awkwardly, "but I brought the rest that was missing," revealing a gentleman and several floating creatures that looked like animals.
"What are these colorful creatures?" the blue-haired girl asked.
“They are the Kwamis, and they are magical beings that grant powers to their holders, we could also say, heroes who possess these Miraculous” , explained the albino girl “Oh, Miraculous are the magical jewels, okay?”
“Who is this old man?” she pointed out curiously.
“This is Master Fu, guardian of all the Miraculous and…” suddenly her eyes widened as if she had just remembered something “Oh, that's right!” she finished before disappearing again and after a few seconds returned with three more Kwamis.
“Dussu and Nooroo!” shouted the orange Kwami before hugging her two friends. The others did the same.
“I'm so glad you're alright!” Mullo shouted.
“I'm happy to see you again!”
However, all the longing was replaced by anger and resentment when the little red Kwami said:
“Plagg?... Is that you?” pronounced Tikki.
“Plagg?!" Kawalki exclaimed “knowing all the problems his holders caused?!”
“No, and I don't care,” he retorted gruffly.
“You should care! Because of you, many lives were lost!” the other complained, approaching him “it all started because of you!”
“Hey, hey, hey! Calm down” the albino girl interrupted the Kwamis' argument “have you Kwamis ever thought about what he went through?” They remained silent, waiting for her to finish to understand what this had to do with anything. “Do you really think that if Plagg were happy with his holders he would be like this?!”
Everyone looked at the black kwami; he really was unwell. His fur looked very dirty, and he was very thin. You could even see the kitten's ribs. Everyone remained silent, including his classmates and Marinette herself.
The stranger went to the cat and said:
“Are you alright? Are you hungry?” she asked, raising one of her hands and making cheese appear.
“ … “ she looked at her with doubt, but it had been a long time since she had eaten anything; she decided to accept because she was hungry.
When she accepted, she smiled. However, the group was still quiet. Soon, Rose broke the silence.
“Uhm… excuse me for interrupting, but who are you? And what are we doing here?”
“Oh, that's right! My name is Yiri, and you are here to see your future” she revealed the reason, and everyone was surprised.
“See the future?! That's completely impossible” said the nerd, adjusting his glasses.
“For you, yes. For me, no” she said, pointing.
“Why would you reveal this to us?” asked the guardian.
“To avoid the great confusion that will happen” said the albino, remembering the Cheshire and Misterbug fights and Master Fu's fight with Marinette.
“What kind of confusion?” Juleka joins the conversation “A big one, we could say” she revealed while shrugging. “But let's stop talking about this, because it's easier to show than to tell,” she snapped her fingers, changing the scene.
Unexpectedly, they were teleported to a room, or rather, a movie theater. With several beanbag chairs of different sizes and colors.
“Now choose where you want to sit, because the show is about to start!”
“Wait! Show?” Alya asks.
“Yes! I kind of turned your future into a show for you to watch” she explains.
“How many episodes are there?” Rose asks.
“52 episodes.”
“All that?!” Chloe shouted “I have things to do! Like moisturizing my hair…” she says, looking at the mini mirror she had with her to check her hair.
“Your hair isn't important,” Yiri says expressionlessly.
“Of course it's important! And…” the albino interrupts the blonde who won't stop talking.
“Why don't we just get started with the program already?!” points to the screen and a voicebegins the narration.
“A long time ago…”
