9:48 pm
Raindrops hit the RK800 (also known as Eight.) head persistently as he stepped out of the automatic taxi. A dark blue covering his vision from the glowing LED’s next to him that read ‘Cerberus Cafè.’ Around him humans were walking with umbrellas or running for cover in the nearest building.
He had already searched five bar and six different alleyways, before someone told him to go here.
He stepped forward to a pair of large glass double doors, a sign pasted on them with the words ‘No Androids Allowed’ on it.
He ignored it and stepped inside.
Not many humans sat in the cafè, but that was expected as the place was about to close. A quick scan found the particular human he was looking for.
MATCH
Lt. Stern, Connor
Born: 07/22/2014 // Police Lieutenant
Criminal Record: None
Lieutenant Stern sat at a table with several empty coffee cups next to him. He had brown hair, he was wearing a navy blue suit with black pants his tie was black and his dress shirt was white. Interestingly there was something in his hair a real red rose. Hank wondered why, maybe he was wearing it for a lover. It wasn't uncommon for someone to wear something a lover gave to them, but a rose? And a real one at that was extremely rare.
The lieutenant looked like he hadn't slept in weeks, he was really pale, unnaturally pale actually. He was running his hand through his hair while he stared at various pieces of paper. The man didn’t even seem to notice the door opened, much less the murmuring of the other cafè customers questioning why Eight was there. Eight did a deep scan that was part of it's medical program.

He blinked and shut off it's program, he wondered why there where several errors. It ran a diagnostic scan but it came back fine. He would go to a technician next chance and get that looked at.
He walked towards the Lieutenant.
Objective: INTRODUCE YOURSELF
"Lieutenant Stern. My name is RK800 or Eight, I'm the android sent by Cyberlife. I visited the station but no one knew where you were. I checked 5 bars and six alleyway before I was told to come here."
"Mhmm…" The Lieutenant replied, clearly not actually listening to the android. The distracted reply was the only evidence RK800 had that the man even knew someone was around him.
As it typically did, RK800’s social engineering program helpfully kicked in and offered four options...
PROCEED:
{SIT DOWN }
REPEAT
THREATEN
INSIST
He took a second to consider his options he focused back on the Lieutenant with full force, easily choosing the first option and sitting across from him.
Before he could say anything a guy walked over. Hank scanned him.
West, James
Born: 01/16/2000 // Owner of Cerberus Cafè
Criminal Record: None
"Connor, you know I'm closing soon..." The man trailed off as his gaze flickered up. "Why the fuck is an android in here? Can't you read the sign!"
RK800 was going to reply but was interrupted.
"Blame you know who." Connor says dryly.
The man stared at Connor for a second then laughed, "Jeez Connor you make him sound like Voldemort. I'll leave you be, but be out in thirty minutes."
"Thanks James." Connor said.
"Yeah yeah, I'll add this order to the tab?" James asked.
"Yeah, thanks James."
After James leaves Connor sighs heavily and looks up. This android was different than most, but then again it is a prototype.
It had Grey hair tied in a low ponytail, watercolour blue eyes. Sagging skin, frown lines. Not too buff, not too out of shape. A grey jacket with a bright blue arm band and triangle draped over it, jeans around its legs with leather shoes.
Connor really wanted to ask why it looks like that, but at the same time he really didn’t care to ask.
"Who are you exactly?" Connor asked, although he had a feeling he already knew who it was.
"As I said, Lieutenant. I am RK800 or Eight, the android sent by Cyberlife I was designed by Kamski pacificly for you. You were assigned a case this evening, a homicide. I am here to collect you."
"RK800/Eight is your name?" Connor asked.
"Yes, you can change that if you don't want to call me RK800 or Eight." RK800 confirmed.
"Of course he'd leave me to give you a name." Connor mumbles.
Connor thought for a minute.
"Hank."
"In sorry?" RK800/Eight asked.
"Your name. What about Hank?" Connor suggested.
It nodded.
"My name is Hank." Hank confirmed.
It was quiet for a few minutes then Hank decided to try again.
"Lieutenant I must insist we go to the crime scene." Hank said.
The man sighed, rolling his eyes before looking back at his notes. "As you can see, I am busy tying up some loose ends of a previous case. This one can wait."
Hank frowns, confused as to how this guy he was created for, seemed to be exactly the type he would be able to work with easily, while also already butting heads.
"I am sorry to defy you, Lieutenant, but it is very important to my mission that I accompany you to the crime scene."
"And it is very important that I finish my work. Can it just wait until morning."
A sigh escaped Hank’s lips. Despite the fact he didn’t need to breathe, Kamski had designed him to mimic many human attributes. No progress is being made towards actually going to the crime scene. It is time to take a leap. His programming offered a couple options
CHOOSE AN APPROACH:
TAKE HIS PAPERS
THREATEN
{ INTRIGUE }
WAIT OUTSIDE
"You know, Lieutenant Stern. It truly is a shame you are busy and turned off your phone. Otherwise you would have known about how the victim was stabbed twenty eight times in the chest. But I suppose that is not that interesting."
Hank stands up and walks to the other side of the Lieutenant. He was uncertain if it would work or just make him mad but it was worth a shot.
"Whatever I need to leave anyway."
Conner v
The man shuffles his papers together and places them in a folder before putting that into his bag.
"Let’s go see what is so interesting that they had to send an android to get me."
He picks up the coffee cups at his table Hank immediately started to help, throwing them away.
Conner shoots Hank a look but doesn't say anything.
Conner had his hand on the door but stopped and turned to face Hank.
“Call me, Connor. Or Lieutenant Connor if you must.”
“Understood, Connor.”
Connor ^
They walked over to where Connor parked his motorcycle at.
"You can order a taxi if you don't want to be on a motorcycle, next time it will be my car." Connor told Hank.
"It's fine." Hank replied.
"Well get on." Connor said, when Hank didn't move.
"Lieutenant where are the helmets?" Hank asked.
"Not important." Connor replied.
"It's against the...."
Connor v
"Get on or I'm leaving without you." Connor threatened.
Hank hesitated before getting on. Hank sat behind Connor and Connor drove off.
