Holding Ed's hand on the Ferris wheel, looking out over the fair grounds. It’s a cool summer night but Ed’s hand is large and warm. The shimmering lights from the rides below sparkle against the glass carriage, rolling around the cabin as they bathe you both in rainbow neon.
For a split second a crescent of light blooms against Ed’s face, painting it with a wide beam, like a smile, and when it’s gone, you can see Ed’s own lips, mimicking it, like a soft pink moon.
You've been going steady for a month now and he still blushes when your fingers interlace with his. Still looks down at his feet when looking into your eyes becomes too much. You’ve grown a fondness for lying under the old oak tree behind his house, wrapped together, your head on his chest as sun glitters through the thick canopy of leaves above. The sound of Ed’s heart beat thundering away like a caged animal, only beginning to ease as the touches between you begin to grow in number. Ed’s always been soft, but it seems like your presence makes him that much softer.
You'll share an ice cream (vanilla of course), and then a first kiss in the back of the fun house where the mirrors distort your images, blending the two of you together in a miasmic embrace.
“Gosh~!” Ed sighs out once you decouple your lips from his. He’s panting and hard against you, the bulge in his pants rocking against you rhythmically all on it’s own.
Your own head is swimming, filled with a vaporous giddiness, a light headed fervor that leaves you wanting more. Ed had no idea how to kiss, and maybe it was because of that, rather than in spite of it; that he had taken your breath away. Leaning into one another, feeling the shock of his body as you did something so new to him. You had both stayed locked together like that, sharing breath until the building level of CO2 had made you feel like fainting.
Ed notices you wobbling and his strong arms are around you before you can stumble.
“You okay y/n?” he asks and his voice is higher than normal, concerned, unable to correlate your reaction to his action.
“Yeah Ed, I’m okay, don’t worry.” And you smile through the haze of embarrassment, arousal, and love… “It’s getting late though, your mother might be worried. We should probably head back home soon.”
“Okie dokey!” Ed smiles, and off you go.
Riding in the truck on the way back home, Ed’s large, reassuring hand wrapped around your thigh, stroking and kneading the flesh. You’re flush against him on the truck’s bench seat and Ed’s body is so warm that you're beginning to sweat. In any other situation you might pull away, but here in the car, the only sounds being the wheels of the truck on the gravel road, and the low lul of the radio in the background, you’ve never think of wanting.
Riding in Ed’s truck was like a meditation, a place where the rest of the world fell away. It was just the two of you here, no Mother, no gawking public, no judgemental stares. Looking up at the night sky awash with twinkling stars, you might as well be the last two people on earth, and the thought is a balm to any pains you might have outside this moment.
When the two of you get closer to the house, Ed slows to a stop on the side of the long dusty road. Here, where Mother still can’t see him, he kisses you again.
This time the kiss is more exploratory. Ed’s tongue finds its way into your mouth, running against your soft palette, then your teeth, tasting every part of you and your breath is stolen for entirely different reasons this time. Ed’s shaking in your arms, overstimulated and needy, and you love him more than anything, would burn the world to ashes for him if you needed to, or more realistically, hide any number of bodies he might need help hiding. Only here in his arms does the world feel right, his warmth and weight enclosing you like you’re small enough to fit in the palm of his hand. Ed is reassurance, Ed is safety, he's everything you wanted but never thought you’d receive.
In this small little town where you can live and die without ever being known, Ed has given you a name, a purpose, a reason to watch each sunrise and sunset as if it were a gift promised to you alone. Here in his arms you can let go, and you feel your morality, your sanity, your worries and fears, all slip away under the delicious crushing weight of Ed’s deviational devotion.
Ed is mewling in your ear, hot and wet as he thrusts his clothed member against you.
“Oh gee, ahh, Y/N, it’s coming, I’m ahh, I’m sorry but I gotta!~” staccato breaths fracture each word between thrusts and you hold him as tightly as you can, knowing he won’t break.
Laying across the seat, sprawled against you, you wipe the hair away from Ed’s face, it sticks to his forehead aided by the sweat from his brow.
“My sweet Ed…” You coo against the back of his head. The inside of the cab’s windows are fogged, improving upon the feeling of separation between the two of you and the outside world.
“I love you Ed Gein, oh I do…” you say, and it feels like the only true words that have ever been spoken aloud.
Ed twists himself around, looks into your eyes, and you get lost in those expansive pools of puppy dog loyalty.
“I love you Y/N, oh I do!” he says and his smile is warm like the sun.
Later on, when the windows have lost their sheen of fog, and the truck ambles steadily forward back towards home, you feel Ed lace his fingers through yours, and you know you’re exactly where you belong.
