Chapter 3: PROLOGUE: When it all happened! Warped into a New World!
Summary:
In this chapter, Y/n returns home to see his parents in Florida. After having a fued from being doubted from them. His life would change drastically.

Welcome to our tale of woe, triumph against impossible odds, terror and a life-long lesson of living & learning. Our story begins in the beautiful but wet and dry world of Orlando, Florida. As we descend to the money-making attraction, we find another day in paradise… Or so I thought.
It was summer vacation, the busiest time in Florida. Everyone wanted to go to the water parks, beaches and somewhere to cool off from the merciless hot sun. However, in Orlando it’s much busier than usual. Their famous tourist attraction was the Walt Disney World theme park. Due to the booming population and lack of attention, the park and its attractions changed over the years but it didn’t stop two park attendants. The attendants are named M/n L/n & D/n L/n. They’re both known to be popular attendants and biggest fans of Disney. They have known each other since they were kids, until the day they tied the knot. Their dream is to grow a family of their own, but more tourists came to park too fast, they hardly got the chance. Just when things turned glum at the end of the day… They saw a baby in a basket on their front doorstep. Their dream of raising a family finally came true that day. Many attendants of the theme park congratulated them and welcomed their new adopted son… Y/n. Young Y/n enjoyed seeing his parents working the Disney parks, but to the parents, it’s hard doing homeschool and attendant work. Eventually, they had to find Y/n a school to learn and they did. Every kid in 3rd was amazed because of Y/n’s parents. Sadly as time went on, in middle school, other older kids picked and laughed at him. Before Y/n went on to High School in New York, the teasing went on until Y/n discovered he found something to enjoy while his parents were too busy to spend time with. He grew fond of Nintendo, Sega, Namco and other video games he’s interested in. He even likes video game music. During High School, he took music classes, karate classes, kung-fu classes, even guitar sessions. One day, a bunch of bullies began to harass innocent students and Y/n will not let it slide. He gave them a painful lesson they’d never forget. The school staff took notice but Y/n passed the buck to the bullies. Ever since then, Y/n became just like his video game heroes, participated in video game tournaments, gained popularity and respect and became a Master Gamer. M/n & D/n still respect Y/n but they miss him when he was kid. Y/n graduated in New York and was planning to visit Florida to see his parents. Unknown to the three of them, it will be the day Y/n’s life will change.

Orlando, Florida
Just near the Disney World Park, was a manor of M/n L/n & D/n L/n. They were happy that their son graduated from college in New York and were looking forward to seeing him.
M/n: *Giddy with excitement* “Can you believe it, dear?! Our baby boy is coming home!”
D/n: “I know, honey. Ever since he moved to New York for high school, it felt very lonely without him.”
Just then… The two parents looked outside and saw their son!
M/n & D/n: “He’s here!!”
They excitedly opened the door and saw their son… Y/n!
Y/n: “Hey, Ma. Hey, Pa.”
D/n: “It’s so wonderful to see you again, my boy!”
Y/n: “Yeah. It was lonely in the Big Apple but it’s not too bad once you get used to it.”
M/n: “Since you’re here, Y/n, we can make up for lost time! We’re dreadfully sorry we didn’t get the chance to celebrate your birthdays with you!"
Y/n: “Mom, relax. I have some friends up in New York who wished me a happy birthday. Plus, some others back in high school and college see me as their guardian.”
D/n: “That’s nice, son, but how about we go to our favorite amusement park? Just for old time’s sake?”
Y/n: “Dad, that's nice but I’m afraid I must decline it. I’m already old enough to experience the games of Mario, Sonic, Pac-Man, Mega Man, etc. etc.”
M/n: *Pleaded passionately while * “Please, sweetie pie! I wanted to redeem ourselves for neglecting you!!”
Y/n thought for a moment. He didn’t want to be treated as a baby anymore since he’s a young adult, but he knew his parents well.
Y/n: *Sighed* “Okay…”
M/n & D/n: “Thank you, Y/n! We won’t disappoint you!”
Y/n: *Thought to himself* “Somehow, they will.”
For all afternoon, the family bonded at the Magic Kingdom, then the Animal Kingdom, next the Hollywood Studios and last but not least, Blizzard Beach. They enjoyed themselves but Y/n felt conceded. We wanted to visit Super Nintendo World, but his parents thought otherwise.

Hollywood Resort
Y/n and his parents decided to rent a few rooms for the rest of the night. In the dining room, the three were eating their dinner till D/n spoke first.
D/n: “So, son, anything else you want to do before heading back to New York?”
Y/n: “Well, I’m still looking for a girlfriend, but I still haven’t got the chance.”
M/n: “Aww. I’m sorry to hear that. You're like Princess Aurora from Sleeping Beauty.”
Y/n: “Ma, I’m no princess nor a kid. I’m a man. Plus, I’ve been taking music classes to learn how to play guitar and other musical instruments.”
D/n: *Interested* “Oh, sounds exciting. What music are you into?”
Y/n: “I’m very interested in video game music, dad. Like, Mario, Sonic, Pac-Man, Kirby, etc.”
M/n: “Come on, sweetie. You’ll fit perfectly in classical or even orchestral music.”
Y/n: “I don’t want to doubt it, but I prefer pop, rock, funk, metal ska-punk, jazz, chiptune, new jack swing, hardcore punk, swing rhythm, electronica and lo-fi. Those kinds of music genres fit me better.”
D/n: “I respect that son, but your mother and I have been thinking you should find a job in the Disney Animation Studios.”
Y/n: “What?! Aw, Dad, c’mon!”
D/n: “Just think about it, son!”
Y/n: “Don’t you two get it?! You two think I can’t just do anything I want to, but I can!”
M/n & D/n were baffled, before they could reply on Y/n’s rebuttal, their son marched angrily away.
M/n: “Y/n! Sweetie! Please!”
It was no use. Their adopted son was out of sight.
23:00
Hollywood Resort - Curfew Hours
Everyone in the hotel went to sleep, but M/n and D/n were still thinking about their son.
D/n: *Sighed disappointingly* “I knew I regret saying something to make our son mad.”
M/n: “Honey, he just needs some alone time. That usually helps me.”
D/n: “True. Besides, it’s not like he can sneak out alone at night… Can he?”
Meanwhile in Y/n’s room…
Y/n: *Muttering to himself* “Just get with the times, L/n. There’s no pleasing these guys. They just want to take anything good I do and just smoosh it into bite-size pieces.” *Sighed* The next thing I’m getting from them is a pathetic apology.”
*KNOCK, KNOCK KNOCK!*
Y/n: “This better good because I’m getting-”
As Y/n went to open the door, no one was in the floor hallway except a shoe box. He was confused, but decided to take the box inside to his room. He placed it on his bed next to him, opened it up and saw a new pair of grind shoes and an antique charm!
Y/n: “Wow, nice shoes! They’re just like the ones Sonic wore in Sonic Adventure 2 & Sonic Frontiers!” *Sees the charm and note* “What’s this? A note tied to this Smash Ball charm…?” *Reads the note* “To Y/n, we’ve known you since you were a little baby. We wish to see you now but acting too soon could seal your fate. Wear these shoes to get around. Your time getting the Air Shoes will come soon enough. Also, wear the charm. It'll allow you to transform into any character you memorized every game you've played so far from your childhood. Do NOT lose it nor give to anyone who’s hungry for power. Your other gifts will be waiting for you once you’ve reached the other world. Good luck.” *Checks the note* “No name from the sender?”
Y/n looked at his gifts, then thought for a moment. Without hesitation, he put on his Soap Shoes and his charm and looked at himself in the mirror.
Y/n: *Talking to himself* “Looking good, dude.”
As he was admiring his new shoes, Y/n could see little spiritual beings outside in the hotel courtyard.
Y/n: *Thought to himself* “What are those things…? I better check it out.”
He wrote a note to his parents saying he’ll be stepping outside but promised to be back home by breakfast and exited the building. When Y/n reached the courtyard, it was empty.
Y/n: “Something’s fishy going on… What were those little things…? Ghosts?”
Little did Y/n know those little ghosts were actually wisps, Will O’ the wisps. More of them appeared one after one leading a path for Y/n.
Y/n: *Eyed suspiciously* “... Very strange…”
Y/n followed the trail of wisps to wherever they lead to the road. He got onto his motorcycle and pursued the trail of wisps. The headlamp of his bike showed on the road but Y/n didn’t want to shine it on the wisps. The asphalt path leads to a dirt path, but Y/n didn’t mind it. He likes dirt racing. The wisps lead him to a dense forest. The wheels on his bike grip the dirt road while the trip was bumpy Y/n.
Y/n: *Thought to himself* “Better be careful not to crash into any trees. Nature is a vehicle’s most powerful enemy.”
He never worries about being lost in the dark, but he’s worried about being back home late.
The road ended when Y/n reached to where the wisps lead him. A tunnel to a cave. Nowhere else for his bike to go on except for Y/n.
Y/n: “End of the road…Better go on foot.”
He decided to bring his bike in on foot while the headlamp is on to see in the dark.
pulled out a flashlight. Y/n kept his guard up in case there’s an ambush or someone will try to catch him off guard. During the exploration, Y/n entered an abandoned room with a pedestal in the middle and a pipe the size of a mansion gate. It was breathtaking.
Y/n: *Quietly* “Wow… Looks like… Nobody’s been here for years…”
He examined the pedestal carefully… Then he turned to the Mysterious Pipe. He’s still confused why the wisps would lead him here. Unknown to Y/n, as he climbed on top of the pedestal, the pedestal began to shine, then sink, suddenly it stopped.
Y/n: “What the hell was that?”
Y/n looked down to see his antique charm glowing.
Y/n: “...Something wrong here…” *Looks at the pipe* “Hmm…”
The young adult carefully walked up to the pipe to see if anyone’s in there.
Y/n: *Calling out* “Hello…? Anybody in here? Hello…?”
Before Y/n could think of anything else, he was suddenly being pulled into the pipe!
Y/n: “Woah! Woah! Woah! Woah! Woah! Woah! WAAAAHHH!!!”
He shut his eyes but when he opened them, he was in a zone, A Warp Zone! He looked around and bewildered, being carried along a series of clear passageways moving through brightly colored clouds.
Y/n: “Must be some sort of defunct attraction!”
Suddenly, as Y/n floated through the passageway, he began to see visions. Visions of the Disney movies he saw as a child and video games during his teen through young adult years. The colored clouds began to grow dark and foggy as infamous villains from movies and video games laughing at Y/n, maniacally. Y/n began to feel scared and stressed out, but unaware of him, his body began to manifest a vast and powerful form of bio-electromagnetic energy, appearing as a dynamic electric aura with surges. It was called Chaos Energy. Y/n shut his eyes as his F/c Chaos Energy built up and when he opened them, he punched the visions of villains out of his sight with an electromagnetic pulse. After that, Y/n passed out before he reached the end of the passageway.
Apparently, that strange charm Y/n wore seamlessly gave him the power of Chaos Energy and… who knows what else? Even more, where could he’d been warped to…?
