Heart on a knife's edge

Summary:

Augustine and Winnie get into a fight to which leads to Augustine accidentally being the cause of Winnie's death. After figuring out why Winnie was acting the way he did, he makes a deal with the ghost of his best friend and 'takes care' of the people tormenting the both of them.

Chapter 1: Prologue

Augustine Orlov and Winnie Bosko, best friends that were inseparable since they met. They did everything together, same class, same street, same clubs and even the same hobbies. It almost became kind of eerie how they were always together.

Though as they got older, Augustine started feeling like they were drifting apart, they still hung out like they used to but at school, Winnie started avoiding him little by little, making excuses of being tired, going to hang out with friends or being busy with homework.

Augustine hated it.

He hated that Winnie was suddenly avoiding him, suddenly being so distant. He needed to know why at least, was Winnie doing this on purpose or is it just his own head making it seem that way.

Why did he hate it so much.
