Liz is sat at the piano, as she often is these days. Rubbing his forehead gently, Roger pours himself another finger of whiskey, watching his sister play, knowing she is perfectly aware of his presence and content to tolerate it so long as he does not disrupt her music. Today, Roger is in an agreeable mood, and is happy to accede to the unspoken demand. When Carolyn clicks along the hallway behind them, he turns and hooks a loose hand around the crook of her elbow, pulling her quietly into the room to listen to her mother play more Chopin.
