Work Text:
the gentle wind swirls the prickly autumn grass and flowers, rustling your fur and blowing ice cold air into your face. You grimace, you've never liked the cold but at least your lover seems happy, her white pelt that looks a light cream in the dawn light, caresses her face as she laughs softly at your obvious displeasure. You roll your eyes scoffing quietly but there's no malice in it.
"Sunset, why did you come up here if you hate the cold that much, you've been shivering for the past ten minutes, not that I don't enjoy your presence," You pout, you thought the reason was obvious.
"I knew you came up here sometimes, so I decided I might come see you," you say, matter-of-factly. Coi brings a hand under your chin and brings your face closer to hers, you can feel the tickle of her whiskers on your face.
"Oh Sunset, I didn't know you paid that much attention to me..." she says softly and then your noses are touching, and you can feel her warmth and you can hear her heart beat faster as and your sure she can hear yours do the same, your eyes close and you can feel yourself purring, and Coi's soft steady purr vibrates through you as well, your corus of love intertwines as your tails do, and you realize suddenly, that you are, undoubtedly, loved.
