Chapter Text
Killua sighs as he’s on his last shift before vacation. He’s ready to take a break. As a broke high school student he needs one. He is stocking some skateboards on the shelf when he hears the bell. Which is odd as no one comes into the skateshop at 4:30pm on a Thursday.
Killua hops down off the ladder and walks over to the register. As he does he sees three other kids who look like they don’t belong here.
The first one that catches his eye is the tallest one. He’s in a suit?? Who just wears a suit. He has a brief case with him as well and has glasses. He looks like a big old nerd. As he walks in he’s yelling to the blonde one about something stupid.
The blonde one is more normal. He has short blonde hair, is kind of short and seems chill. He’s wearing a sweater and blue jeans, with a jacket. The blonde one seems to be ignoring the tall one, which makes Killua laugh a little bit inside.
Finally there is the last one. This guy looks more like Killua's age, probably also a senior. He even thinks he’s seen him at school before. (He probably has.) He wears baggy green jeans with a black tank top and a green flannel. Wait… Killua does recognize this guy.
Killua’s thoughts are interrupted when he hears a crash and sees 5 or 7 boards on the ground. The blonde one is trying to pick up while the tall one is yelling to that guy. What was his name?? Well it doesn’t matter as now Killua is stuck with cleaning up.
He dawdles over and starts to pick up some of the boards while the other guy rubs his head.
“Oh I’m sorry,” the guy says. Killua notices that his hair is stigreen.
“Eh, it’s no big deal,” Killua states.
“You’re Killua right? Well I’m Gon!” He holds out his hand for a handshake.
“Yeah.. how did you know?”
“We go to the same school, also it’s on your name tag!”
“Oh yeah…” Killua finally shakes his hand. “Uh so what brings you in here?” he finds himself asking, glancing at the other two putting up the boards wrongly.
“I want a skateboard, I think it would be fun!” he reminds Killua of a puppy. The way he titled his head… wait what in the world is he thinking!
“Oh uh, uhm what kind of board do you want?” Killua asks. He surprises himself cause typically he just lets customers do whatever.
“I want one that's green,” he exclaims, talking with his hands. Killua can tell he knows nothing about skateboards. The blonde one comes up from behind Gon.
“Hey Gon, me and Leorio are going to go grocery shopping. We’ll be back, text if you need anything,” he hands Gon a card and leaves with the tall guy, Leorio.
“Thanks Kurapika!” he waves and then turns back to Killua with a grin. “So where should we start?”
