Viking can not sleep, he tried. In the bed that seems to be more lived in, he tosses and turns. It’s hard to get comfortable, the bankets here scratch his scales.
(he cant sleep so he would look at his tools and armor in the mean time, armor and tools can say alot about a person/dragon)
the sword is simple, a diamond blade straight from a mold with only the later additions of enchantments and the name on the hilt. It’s about as long as his arm, clearly made for mob fighting than for it to be used on other dragons. The dark oak handle, the weight of it in his talons, the familiar subtle carvings of spirits traveling up the bone of the sword, enchantment glyphs inlaid with gold and lapis. All the signs that point to him. His sword, and only his. (An Echo, familiarity in an unfamiliar world.)
Him getting a glance of himself in the reflection of his sword.
Viking stops for a second, he checks behind him, there's nobody (nobody but us). He slowly takes off his mask and looks at the sword again, really looking at his reflection this time.
Eyes yellow, check.
Triangular face, check.
Bardles, che- wait. He didn't have those before.
He brings a talon up to his chin, yep they’re there, he pulls on them, and yes that hurts.
Viking shifts the sword a little more to get a better look at himself. His horns are different, he doesn't remember them curling upwards.
He looks around, no one, just the farms, the ever-present gusts of wind, and him.
He walks over to the storage room, goes to the armor chest, and pulls out an iron chestplate.
The make of the chestplate is nothing he has ever seen, Viking can see where pieces of it had to be replaced, and the almost unskilled welding of the seams, bubbly and not straight. It makes him think of Grady, although neither of them seemed to be on great terms, at this moment, Viking misses him. Misses the careful shaping of the Enderian’s gear, the subtle carved End imagery that did not affect the effectiveness of the armor.
Viking turns his attention away from the armor to his reflection, and yes, he is a SeaWing.
An almost sky blue with yellow markings and glow spots, SeaWing. He still can't shake the feeling of wrongness when he looks into the reflection, He still sees himself as a RainWing, no matter how far from home he is.
//At least the face shape is the same.// Viking thinks. //Some things, stay I guess.//
But it’s still a bit weird, no frills framing his face, no peeking fangs he has to be careful of.

It takes Viking a bit to find a big enough body of water. He doesn't want to go outside, he currently doesn't want to deal with more unfamiliar people who know him. The Tube, or whatever it's called, is quite big.
The pool is large, to say the least, there's lots of space, its 20 blocks wide and 30 blocks long, big enough for Viking to try out the whole ‘water breathing’ thing. It's made from deepslate tiles with dark oak lining the boardwalk around it (there’s lots of it here, makes sense, it’s called The Dark Oak Kingdom after all), and froglights dotting the sides of the pool. He steps a talon down to the shallowest part of the pool, it's cold. To be honest, it's not like he saw any heating elements anywhere.
Viking braces himself and steps out more into the pool, he hates it, cold. He goes further out, going up to his chest, it takes a bit to convince himself to let his wings go into the water, then a bit up the neck but not touching his gills.
He stops. (gotta hype himself up. you can do it, buddy.) He slowly leans down, letting the water gently touch his gills. The cold doesn't help this. It's a bit uncomfortable. He takes one deep breath and plunges his head underwater.
Nothing seems to happen. Viking slowly opens his eyes and blinks into the water. He feels his gills are pressed shut against his neck, and his mouth closed. Somehow he knows that feels wrong. He’s hesitant, stuck between two worlds, one part of him feels if he opens his mouth he’s going to drown, the other part knows he’s gonna be fine.
His body lurches, the feeling of choking. Viking’s mouth snaps open, bubbles escaping to the surface. He jerks back, water rushing into his mouth. //get to the surface// his mind tells him for a moment. His talons rush up to his mouth, almost trying to catch the bubbles, but no water enters his lungs.
He closes his mouth, his gills open and water passes through them.
At this point Viking can not think, not a single thought. He does the motion of, opening his mouth then closing it and water moving out through his gills, a few more times.
He’s not dying.
He’s not dying!
The SeaWing happily kicks his talons, shooting him further into the pool. His tail wags behind him which propels him faster.
(excited, with now the fact he can breathe underwater, he’s gonna swim around, he’s gonna find it enjoyable. Zoomies)

(Avid flies in, he looks around for Viking, not at his bed (he should really convince him to build a proper house or something), not at the iron farms. Avid finally goes down to the pool, seeing the mask, hat, and compass at the edge. There’s little ripples going across the surface of the water. A blue and yellow shape zooms across from one wall of the pool to the other. Yep, Viking’s here.
“Viking?” Avid calls out, hoping the SeaWing can hear him.
The SeaWing doesn’t slow from his laps. Avid sighs, plopping himself down next to the edge of the pool. The RainWing watches on for a while, eyes slowly following. He remembers when Viking first showed him this, (the fucker pushed him in and laughed about it, but then they made up and had a good time).
Eventually Avid sticks a talon into the pool’s water. And immediately jerks it back out, cold, almost ice cold, the tips of his talons that went in paled their scales. He holds his talons to his chest, warming them back up and letting the color flow back into them.
He dips them back in, cringing at the cold. Avid swishes his talon in the water, usually the disturbance caught the SeaWing’s attention. It doesn't this time. Avid slaps the water this time, the SeaWing seems to stutter in his laps. Avid swishes his talon around again, finally catching the attention of Viking.
Viking doesn't surface. He sinks to the bottom of the pool, staring up at Avid. Avid can’t make out his eyes.
(Mans not going up there, Avid. he doesn't want to deal with someone who’s void possessed)
-Avid speaks some Aquatic, hoping maybe then he comes up to talk. Nope, Yellow doesnt know Aquatic, he’s seen Mongo do some flickering, but it always seems like he’s talking to himself)-
(He doesn't remember me, and he doesn't trust me. Avid thought, fills drooping, he can't help the grey-blue coloration crawling up his scales.)

// AAAAAAAA why is he here?!?!? What does he want!? I’m not going up there. // Viking thinks to himself, pressing his body as flat as he can to the bottom of the pool.
// wait can he see my eyes?// he worries, slowly moving a talon to cover his left eye. He left the mask on the side of his bed. //How stupid of me.//
