Chapter Text
Isagi Yoichi’s home-life was easy. Perfect some may say. Not to him. Never to him.
Bullying was the first push; Yoichi was a sensitive child and honest opinions, he truly was a ‘perfect’ target; at least that is what Yoichi heard Kira Ryousuke, the biggest offender in his bullying, say.
And Yoichi knew it; he was heavily insecure by lots, like his short stature, how thin he was, how large his eyes and ears were. But endless ridicule wasn’t even the worse of it, the physical beatings was what put Yoichi off waking up in the mornings.
Endless bruises tainted his pale skin among damages he himself has caused. Healed or not his body always stung, the feeling of continuous ache made him shiver.
Either his parents didn’t notice or didn’t care, not that they would bother.
Yoichi understood that from when he noticed his parents split at nighttime to sleep in different rooms; young Yoichi couldn’t figure it out the first time, as many 5-year-olds wouldn’t, but it didn’t take long for him to understand when hushed arguments got louder.
Once an argument got too much he would leave, didn’t have an idea where he was walking but wherever it was it would finally be quieter.
Until, one night a random stroll led Yoichi from his quiet village on the outskirts into the much louder Kabukicho, yet it wasn’t an unpleasant loudness. It made him feel somewhat surrounded.
From the coloured, blaring lights to the young, seductive women luring men into buildings. Everything felt… exhilarating.
