Chapter Text
Mike Wheeler is sitting peacefully eating his dinner surrounded by his wife and kids. He barely pays any attention to them, he's trying to enjoy the mac and cheese his wife (who he forgot her name) cooked today. His kids, Willow, Wilson and Willie are having a great time, talking to his wife about various topics.
Suddenly, Mike hears it. He hears that stupid song that keeps playing on the radio over and over and over and over... “Good Luck, Babe!” it's the 67th time he has heard that song this week. He's had enough. He can't listen to it anymore. The feeling's too much. He can't do this anymore. Mike slowly gets up from his chair and walks over at the kitchen counter.
“Michael, honey, why are you leaving?” his wife asked with an angry tone, she was rather pissed and to be honest, Mike couldn't care less about it. He was DONE.
Mike slowly picked up a sharp looking knife from the counter, his hands trembling slightly. He looked at the knife with such determination in his eyes, he knew exactly what he needed to do now.
"Dad? Are you alright?" his daughter, Willow asked.
Mike didn't answer. He was silent. He started breathing heavily, slowly walking towards the radio. He was now standing in front of it.
“I don't wanna call it off, but you don't wanna call it love.” the voice of Chappell Roan haunts the room.
He starts stabbing the radio with the knife again and again, until the voice of Chappell Roan finally shut the fuck up.
He's panting now, his family staring at him like he has completely lost it. They're looking at him like he's some kind of monster just for destroying a radio.
"MICHAEL WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO?????" His wife screamed at him, running up to him and slapping him, quite hard.
"SHUT UP WIFE! YOU KNOW NOTHING! WITH YOUR STUPID WIFE THINGS AND STUPID WIFE COOKING!! SILENCE YOUR SELF AT ONCE, WIFE!!!" Mike stabbed his wife in the chest like six or seven times while his kids watched in pure horror, crying, but doing absolutely nothing to stop their dad.
His wife is now dead. He hadn't felt so happy since he and Will were playing D&D before finishing college. Will. Oh how he missed his one and only true love. It's always been about Will. William Byers, his one and only love. His soulmate. His light. His everything. He loved Will. He was too scared to admit it in the past, but now things have changed.
His kids started calling the police from their phones, so he just casually got up and left, getting in his car. He started driving away from his house, searching for Will.
That was his new mission. Find Will. Confess to Will. Kiss Will. Mike happy. Will happy. Lover forever. Happy together.
