It wasn’t very often that they were able to get away, but they were going to make the best out of whatever time they managed to get. They had gotten quite lucky with the place they were staying at. Everyone was able to have a separate room and there was little chance for anyone to be intruding on anyone else. There was always a chance for something to go wrong, but that was something that could be dealt with if it did happen. For now, the duo were more inclined to focus on the current times than anything that may or may not happen. Why be so worked up when they could be spending their time on something that was bound to make the both of them feel so much better? Especially since it had been a while since the last time and neither were known for being very patient in such matters.
Ashura had been the first one to find out that the place they were staying at had an outdoor bath. With a high enough wall that there was no chance of being peeked on from the outside, it was a safe enough place as any to be relaxing. As he made his way around the place, he was notified by the front staff that there was a bath that was open to anyone that might like to use it. After a couple of moments of debating whether it would have been good for him, he decided that it couldn’t do any harm. It might even be good for him considering how much he’d been doing through their travels. Having a bit of a rest would allow his body to have a good rest before he ended up being made to suffer even more. This might not have been the time for him to be thinking in such a manner, but he couldn’t help it. Things tended to go horrifically wrong whenever he tried to do anything good so he was a bit paranoid on that front. No one would have doubted him for the reasoning behind it. At least, he was able to enjoy something even if it was as small as a bath.
Something he might have been good for was asking what type of bath it was instead of going in blind. He knew that there were several types and that it was likely that the hotel could have had any of them or all of them. Unfortunately, he hadn't thought that far ahead as he headed to get changed. Even just taking his clothes off made him feel a bit better about things though it slightly changed as he stepped foot within the bathing area itself. That in itself had been mistake number 1. I can just wait until you’re done enjoying your bath.” His ear wings trying to shield his view from the water not covering anything anymore. That wasn’t to say that he couldn’t see anything at all. The wings were far from being able to block his view entirely so he was having to keep his eyes up.
She shook her head and moved closer to the edge of the bath. “Angel? You are just as welcome in this bath as I am. It is meant for everyone to enjoy at their own pace.”
If No Se hadn’t been thinking clearly before, he wasn’t after she spoke that time. There was something about the way her accent rolled off the term Angel that made his brain short out. He knew that he was still better off with leaving her to the bath on her own, but he couldn’t get his body to cooperate with him. No Se was far from being able to understand what was making his own body tick though this was far from being anything that any part of him would have been able to make heads or tails of. "I am absolutely sure that I can wait until you are done bathing in order to do so myself. It would be the better way for us to go about it," he quickly rebutted.
The sound of water moving and splashing against the stone floor. "You know as well as I do that's not true. If anything, it would be far better for us to share this bath as it would allow us to help one another out. You wash my back and I wash yours. Though, it might be a different issue that we may have to deal with before we're able to properly bathe."
No Se refused to look down at his own body seeing as he already knew what she was referring to. There was no way for him to hide it. He'd already taken his clothes off and no towel would have been able to keep it out of view. The woman would have been able to tell what was going on even if it wasn’t in immediate view. If there was one thing that she had over everyone else, it was her senses. She was always the first one to notice if something wasn’t right with any of them as well as being the first to pick up on danger. This was just another situation where she had the upper hand against him. In this kind of situation, he was at a severe disadvantage and all he could do was hope that he wouldn’t dig himself a deeper hole than what he’d already managed. Knowing him, there was far more to come.
As far as what was to come his way, he wasn’t as sure on that front. He could think of plenty of things that would have been applicable and probably have worked just as well though he wasn’t quite sure what was running through his partner’s mind. Anything could have been about to happen and he was none the wiser. For all he knew, he was going to be made to suffer in some inhumane way. That might have been his brain going a bit haywire considering that the woman never would have done anything remotely close to hurting him unless he asked and even then, it wouldn’t have been to such a degree. There was quite a bit that he was going to have to work through when he got the chance. This was certainly not the time for him to be thinking in such a manner.
What he hadn't been expecting was to feel a furred hand on his cheek. "We don't have to do anything if you aren't feeling up for it."
Of course, that was something that he knew from all the other times they'd done things. Sometimes, his mind liked to get the best of him and jump to the worst thing that could happen even if no one near him would ever do such a thing. "I know. A beating is more of what I was thinking of."

Ashura sighed and whacked him upside the head. “Do you really think I care? If you had been a complete stranger, that would be applicable. However, you are the one that I love more than anything as well as this being a mixed bath.”

“Not until I saw you across the way. It didn’t dawn on me that they would only have the one and that we’d end up sharing it.”

“Now that you understand how this bath works, would you be willing to join me in the water? It is quite nice,” she asked while holding a furred hand out.
That was quite the offer for him to think about. On the one hand, he still wanted to run and hide as far away as he could. On the other hand, he was getting the chance to have a bath with her and enjoy whatever may come about thanks to it. He hated that he had to fight himself over being able to enjoy anything that was handed to him. As much as he wanted to run away, he wanted whatever she was offering him far more. Seeing as sitting on the floor wasn’t going to be getting them anywhere, he accepted the outstretched hand and let her pull him up. While he was still learning how things worked between them, he was sure that they were on the same page for what was going to happen. There was little way that it would have ended up any other way. Something else that he was aware of was the fact that they would have been at opposite ends of the bath if they were to enter the water. That wasn’t very conducive to what they were after. One of the main ways that it could have been fixed was a bit awkward and it was mainly up to the rabbit folk if she wanted to go that route. Though, he was curious to hear what she had to say on the matter seeing as it needed to be agreed upon by both of them.
"I know that this might not be something you're comfortable with, but would you be willing to sit in my lap? It would allow us to be at the same end without having to worry about anything," Ashura carefully asked as she stepped into the water.
His brain shorted out again as the image formed in his mind. He knew that there was always going to be a significant height difference between them, but that was really showing it. There was nothing that would have made the situation any less appealing to him other than walking out of the room. How had he managed to get into such a mess? Why was he so willing to go along with how things were headed? Just what was wrong with him? Something was clearly going to have to be done about his way of handling such situations if he was going to be getting into them so often. What was he supposed to do when it was always put in front of him in a way that he wasn't able to turn away from? Life really had managed to turn things on him in ways that he hadn't foreseen.
The way that his head was starting to get all sorts of fogged up just because of a simple question wasn’t the greatest time for him. All he had to do was say yes or no and they’d be able to move on with things. That seemed to be far too difficult for him to do at that point. What was he supposed to do in the stead of words? He knew for a fact that he wanted to continue even if he was slightly nervous for what things were going to be entailed. No Se just had to push through his own issues to get there. A simple task in theory and damn near impossible in practice.
Taking a deep breath, he calmed himself a bit before he really started getting himself worked up over nothing. "I'd love to join you in the bath. I might be better if I just sit on the edge to start with. Wouldn't want to make things too awkward for now?"
"If that's how you'd like to do things, then that is fine by me." Ashura answered easily. "I do hope that you'll at least try to have a dip in the water before we leave."
"I will. Just not right now. I need to adjust a bit."
"Then take all the time you need."
How had he managed to get so lucky with finding a woman that cared for him as much as she did? There had to be something of a higher power involved with that one, but he wasn't going to be digging too deep into it. It was better for him to focus on the moment than anything else that might ruin it. He still had to contend with the fact that she was after something more than just a regular bath with him which he truly did want to carry on with. The less they had to deal with the space between them, the easier it was going to be able to move on. Ashura was nothing if not planning for the future even if it wasn’t that far from where they currently were. As they sat and enjoyed the heat from the bath, it was clear that neither of them were particularly content with just sitting there. It was nice enough to be able to relax against one another, but there was something else that they wanted with the touching they were doing. Maybe it was just in a different spot or maybe if they managed to shift things around a little bit? Either way, it might have allowed for the both of them to get at what they were after a bit easier than having to fumble around in the water. Not that it was truly an issue. They were just as capable of handling things just fine even if it was as awkward as they were making it out to be. If they’d been anyone else, it would have been far easier to do everything that they were after.

If he had been able to think a bit more clearly, he might have been able to make some kind of argument about what was being spoken about. Unfortunately, he couldn't get his brain to work very well in that direction as much as he wished it would have.
