Nami woke with a scream.

She was sweating bullets in her bed. The sheets were tangled around her legs, her chest heaving with effort. Just a dream. She was in her room on the Going Merry, safe and sound.

She had just sighed in relief when she heard a scrambling outside her door.

“Nami!!!”

“Are you okay?”

The door swung open and her entire crew tumbled into her room.

“We heard you scream,” Usopp shuffled up next to her bed. He was in a t-shirt and checkered pajama pants. Sanji twirled behind him, making a heart over his head with his arms.

“Does my Nami-swan need to be cuddled back to sleep?” He simpered over her. She brought her knees up to her chest.

“No thanks.”

Zoro hunkered down on the bench along the wall. He crossed his legs, arms folded over his chest, and promptly started snoring. Chopper trotted in, too, climbing up on the bench to snuggle against Zoro’s legs. The swordsman moved for him, allowing the little reindeer to get comfortable; a courtesy he would surely never show anyone else.

“What are you guys doing?”

Usopp stole the cushion from her vanity chair and curled up on the floor, stuffing it underneath his head. “Sleeping here til you fall back asleep.”

Nami stared at the men gathered around her. Sanji settled near Usopp, and Luffy chose to sit on the floor by the bed. He leaned his back against it, his hat in his lap so it wouldn’t get squished.

“You really don’t have to—“

“Shut up,” Luffy interrupted cheerfully. He peered back at her over his shoulder. “Go back to sleep.”

She opened her mouth, then closed it again.

Alright.

She let out a big sigh, and gathered the blankets back around her. Shy at the notion of everyone crowding into her room just for her, just like when she had been sick, she curled up in her bed, her back to the room.

Slowly, she drifted off back to sleep.

This time, the nightmare was vivid.

Instead of just flashes of fear and pain, it was a stinging reality of Arlong Park. She saw Luffy’s giant foot blast through the roof, then slam down on top of the building.

The tall structure collapsed, rubble and shrapnel flying everywhere.

She expected to see Luffy, victorious and her savior, emerge from the wreckage. But instead…

“Shahahaha!”

Nami shrieked as the fishman rose from the pile of broken stone and splintered wood. He held Luffy by the throat.

***

Nami jolted awake with a choked out gasp. Her throat was sore, and her cheeks were wet with saltwater tears. She shuddered in bed, feeling sick and exhausted and frightened.

She turned around to her other side, barely making out the shapes of her crew mates sprawled across her room. Luffy’s fluffy head was still laid back against the side of her bed. She shuffled closer, wanting to touch.

Not dead, not limp.

Not a rubbery corpse thrown at her feet.

She let out a shaky breath, and tentatively threaded her hand through Luffy’s messy hair. It was soft, softer than she expected. He must have washed it recently.

Luffy stirred, a brief hum in the back of his throat. “Nami?” He turned his head to blink at her through the murky dark.

“Sorry,” she murmured, hand drifting to his shoulder. Warm, bony, real.

A sudden boldness overtook her, something she would never say in the light of day.

“Can I hold your hand?”

Luffy stared at her for a moment, before breaking out into a sleepy grin. “Sure,” he agreed quietly. He slipped his hand into hers, also warm and real and strong. The hand that had destroyed that map room, had liberated her from literal chains. She ran her thumb along his knuckles.

“…Thanks.”

Her voice was small, unsure. But Luffy just shrugged and let her hold his hand. “You can relax, y’know. I can stretch.”

She hesitated, before slowly bringing his hand to her chest. Sure enough, his arm stretched easily to accommodate the added distance. She curled into it, letting his warmth seep into her palm. Eventually, she closed her eyes again.

The next morning, the boys were still sprawled across her room. Zoro was snoring, Chopper curled up on his chest, moving with the swordsman’s breathing. Usopp and Sanji had managed to get tangled together, arms and legs crossed over each other.

Luffy was awake, staring at her.

She felt shy under his gaze.

“Mornin’.”

His voice was dry and cracked with sleep, but warm. She belatedly realized his hand was still tucked between her breasts. Hurriedly, she let go and his rubber arm slithered back into place. He gave her a quick smile, before leaping up and stretching.

“Sanji!” He yelled way too loudly for early morning, “I’m hungry!”

The blond cook grumbled, arm flung over his face. “Go eat a dick, then, Luffy.”

“Aww, cmon! I want breakfast!”

Eventually, the crew all stirred and got up in various states of sleepiness. Zoro sat up, stretched like a tiger, and scooped Chopper up to sit on his shoulder. The doctor slumped onto the side of his head, one hoof rubbing his tired eyes.

Usopp also got up, redoing his ponytail. “Can we have eggs again?”

Sanji acquiesced, and the crew slowly made their way to the small galley.

The day passed slowly, Nami doing her best to keep the ship en route, barking orders and marching back and forth across the deck. The boys ran around tying knots and mopping up. After dinner the sun started to set in hues of gold and lavender.

Nami found herself leaning over the railing, watching cotton clouds drift low across the horizon. There wouldn’t be a storm for another week at least, and the next island should be coming up soon…

All in all, it had been a good day.

But there was still a knot in her stomach as night approached. She would have to face sleep again eventually. The nightmares came and went, but she still shuddered. She never wanted to see that sawtooth nose again.

“Hey.”

She started, spinning around to see Luffy standing an arm’s length behind her. He had on his red vest buttoned up over his slender chest, rough blue shorts reaching his knees. His hair ruffled in the wind beneath his straw hat.

“You’re thinking.”

Not a question.

She chewed her lip, eyes darting back out to sea. Her pride kept her from voicing the fear in her chest. Luffy shrugged.

“You can hold my hand again tonight, if you want.”

Her face burned and she was about to tell him to shove it when he thumbed his nose. “I won’t tell anyone.”

Nami regarded him for a moment.

Tan skin, wide eyes, curved scar.

Open, honest, curious.

She swallowed.

“Promise?”

Luffy grinned.

“Yup!”

She sniffed, turning back to the fading horizon. “If you do, I’ll double your debt. No, triple it!”

Luffy just laughed and walked away.

There was a buzzing in her chest, but it wasn’t fear. It was…well. It was something, but for the life of her she couldn’t figure it out.

Darkness crept over the ocean and the crew all made their way through their nightly routines. Usopp made his way up to the crow’s nest for first watch. Sanji finished up breakfast prep and put everything away in the fridge. Zoro had already slouched into his hammock, and Chopper was still brushing his teeth.

Nami hovered by her bedroom door, on high alert for Luffy.

He was trailing Sanji, chatting away happily as the cook made his way to the bathroom to get ready for bed. Before the two men walked in together, Luffy turned around to give her a happy, wide toothed grin. Heat flared through her and she turned on her heel.

Shut the door behind her.

She contemplated locking it, to throw out this whole idea, but she didn’t. She pulled off her tank top, unfastened her bra, and slipped into a set of striped, silky pajamas. A collared shirt and matching shorts, pink and ivory.

And if it just so happened to complement her bright hair and cream skin, so be it.

She tried not to think too hard about that last sentiment as she doused the lantern for the night.

She climbed into her wooden bed, gathering up the blankets around her into a cocoon. She didn’t know when Luffy would show up, but she didn’t want to stress herself out by waiting. So, she closed her eyes and did her best to nod off.

It had been an hour or two of hazy drifting in and out of sleep when her door cracked open.

She sat up immediately on instinct, only to make out Luffy’s familiar silhouette in the doorway. She breathed out a sigh of relief, tension leaving her shoulders.

Luffy waved.

“S’me.”

She snorted.

“Yeah, dummy, I know.”

Luffy hummed, stepping into the room and closing the door behind him. He was still in his vest and shorts. She sometimes saw him in t-shirts and pajama pants, but this was his usual nighttime outfit. He crept across the floor surprisingly quietly.

“Did anyone notice?”

Luffy placed his hat on her bedside table before settling on the floor again.

“Nah.”

She breathed another sigh of relief, and scooted toward the edge of the bed so she could reach his hand. He offered it to her wordlessly, letting his head drop back onto the side of the mattress. It couldn’t be comfortable.

“Here,” she plucked a pillow from beside her head and dropped it on his lap.

“Thanks.”

He quietly shuffled, placing the pillow on the floor to sit on. He relaxed against the bed, hand still in hers. She wanted to bring it to her chest again, to wrap herself around the warm anchor, but she settled for keeping it halfway between them.

Luffy’s breathing eventually slowed, hers following suit.

She drifted off to sleep before she even heard him snore.

Nami.”

A hissed whisper of her name woke her from sleep. She felt tugging on her hand and she instinctively tightened her grip. The voice let out a frustrated huff and she felt another tug.

“You gotta let go.”

Her eyes opened fully, adjusting to the gray dark. It was early morning, just before sunrise. Luffy was squatting beside the bed, trying to extricate his hand from hers.

Her throat burned.

“Cmon,” he stage whispered, “Gotta go before the others wake up.”

Right.

She had made him promise.

“Sorry,” she muttered, releasing her grip. Luffy flexed his fingers, and grinned. His eyes were still sleepy, but bright.

“Any nightmares?”

She shook her head into the pillow.

“Good.”

He straightened, gingerly placed his hat back on his head, and headed out the door.

She imagined him slipping back into his hammock, maybe even falling asleep again before breakfast was ready. She groaned, eyes squeezed shut. She stuffed her head under her pillow, and tried not to miss the steadying weight of his hand.

Nights passed.

Luffy didn’t come to her room every night, but every so often, when the stress and memories welled up during the day, she would shoot him a look. Tap his shoulder, heart in her throat. He always brightened up and nodded, not even saying a word.

He snuck in after dark, and left again before morning.

Nami was grateful.

He was sparing her not only the nightmares, but her pride, too. She knew the crew would support her through anything, but damn it if she didn’t want to ask.

The sea rolled beneath them, carrying Merry on its back towards adventure. Nami had started to feel giddy about charting this next island; it was small and didn’t seem to have any noticeable landmarks on her larger map. But small islands always had some sort of treasure to map out. A river, a dune, a plateau. A hidden village or a bustling market. Maybe even buried gold…

Nami let her mind swirl with thoughts of berri, before she felt a presence sidle up to her. She heard the flick of a lighter and smelled smoke.

“Sanji?”

He hummed, exhaling a white cloud from parted lips.

“You wound me, sweetheart.”

She turned to face him fully. Tall, blond, one visible blue eye welling up with romantic affection. She arched an eyebrow.

“Oh?”

Sanji sighed, hand to his heart, “To think our scrawny captain has worked his way to your bed…it’s astounding!”

Nami choked.

“H-how did you—?!”

Had Luffy told him?

Had he broken his promise?

“I saw him sneaking out of your room this morning. I was in the crow’s nest about to head down to start breakfast, and…,” Sanji let out another dramatic, tobacco-tinged sigh. “I almost kicked open his skull right then and there.”

Nami deflated.

On one hand, she was mortified that someone had found out. On the other, she was relieved beyond belief that it hadn’t been Luffy who blabbed. Sanji tapped ash over the edge of the railing, small gray flecks disappearing into the glittering ocean.

“When’s the wedding?”

Nami slapped him upside the head.

“It’s not like that!”

Sanji swooned even as she hit him. He started to blabber about being there if she ever needed nightly company, needed cuddles

“I don’t want cuddles!”

She hit him again for good measure, and stormed off.

In her fuming, she didn’t see the brim of a straw hat poking out from behind a crate, before disappearing again.

That night, Luffy didn’t come.

Nami twisted and turned, sleep eluding her. When Luffy was here, the nightmares didn’t bother her as much. Even as she would jerk awake, sweaty and scared, Luffy would already be there. Stroking her knuckles with his thumb, murmuring her back to sleep.

She was getting used to it.

Nami grumbled, shoving the blankets off her. It was hot and stuffy in her cabin, and she swung her legs over the side of the bed.

If he wasn’t coming to her, she would go to him.

She worried her lip as she made her way to the men’s room, bare feet padding along the deck. She was in her candy striped pajamas again. Nerves fluttered in her stomach as she reached the wooden door.

Was he already asleep?

Slowly, carefully, Nami cracked open the door. Her crew mates were all asleep in their hammocks, Luffy included. She gathered as much of her cat burglar expertise as she could, and silently made her way to her snoring captain.

She froze.

She had no idea what to do.

If she jostled him awake, he would for sure make a noise. If she whispered, someone else might hear. He was too heavy for her to just lob over her shoulder and carry away…

She settled for his hand.

It was the part of him she kept coming back to. Strong, thick fingers and warm palms. Blunt nails. Rubber knuckles. She wanted to feel his hand in hers again, desperately.

So she slipped her fingers into his, and squeezed.

Luffy stirred.

She squeezed harder.

“Na…mi?”

She crushed her other palm to his mouth. “Shh!” She hissed into his ear. Luffy’s eyes were still half-closed as he peered up at her. Thankfully, though, he didn’t speak.

She tugged on his hand.

Luffy, as brainless as he sometimes seemed, got the hint. He quietly sat up in his hammock, her hand still on his mouth. He let her lead him out of the men’s room and into hers.

Nami peeked up at the crow’s nest, hyper aware that it was Chopper’s turn on watch. If they were just quick enough, quiet enough, maybe he wouldn’t notice.

Nami chewed her lip.

They couldn’t keep this a secret forever.

But her stomach roiled and nerves overtook her at the implications. So she settled for squeezing her captain’s hand again as she pulled him inside her cabin.

“Nami, Nami!”

A hand shook her awake, steady on her shoulder. It was pitch dark still, the tiniest sliver of moonlight peering in through the porthole.

Luffy’s face was an inch from hers.

She lurched backward, not realizing her hand was still in his. Luffy yelped as he lurched with her, falling face first into her chest.

“Luffy!”

She shoved him away, burning hot. He didn’t go far, however, since she still had his other hand in a vice grip. He was wearing a loose t-shirt and denim shorts, hatless. His hair stuck up in all directions.

“Sorry.”

She swallowed.

“S’okay.”

He hesitated, sort of kneeling on the bed. He experimentally tugged on her hand. She didn’t let go.

“Bad dream?”

She nodded.

Luffy plopped down beside her, and said a string of words she never thought she’d hear him say:

“Wanna talk about it?”

Nami bit her tongue.

Luffy hummed and tilted his head to the side. “You keep havin’ ‘em. Probably means you got somethin’ rollin’ around up there,” he poked her forehead, “Makino said it’s better to talk about the dream, so you know it’s not real.”

Simple as that.

Nami didn’t know who Makino was, but she felt a dual sting: one of gratitude for the advice, one of heated anger at having to open up even a little bit. Luffy rested his chin on his hand.

“I like holdin’ your hand but the floor’s pretty uncomfortable. I’d rather you stop havin’ nightmares, anyway.” He ran his thumb over her knuckles, and she shivered.

“I…”

Her breath caught.

Luffy waited.

She turned her face into the pillow so she didn’t have to see his big, stupid, sparkling eyes. She mumbled out a lame, “I’ve never told anyone before.”

Luffy just hummed.

“S’just a dream, isn’t it?”

She shook her head.

“It’s—a memory.”

Luffy’s thumb stilled for a moment, before resuming the soothing motion. She tried not to notice. Took a deep breath. Shuddered, and came undone.

She told him everything.

Luffy was patient, listening to every word. She didn’t know he had this much of an attention span, and honestly she didn’t even know if he was zoning out or not, but she still talked.

“…that’s when you helped me.”

Her arm ached with the memory, of stabbing a cold knife into that hated tattoo, over and over again until Luffy’s hand had stopped her.

“Nami’s strong.”

She hadn’t been expecting those words.

She shook her head, hiding in the pillow again. “But I couldn’t do it. Arlong betrayed me.”

“Hey,” Luffy tucked a lock of hair behind her ear, surprisingly gentle. “You got the money, didn’t you? You’re a great thief. And I kicked his ass anyway, so it doesn’t matter,” he pouted, “Wish I could kick the dream’s ass, but oh well.”

Nami smiled despite herself.

She sat up, slowly releasing his hand. Hers felt empty without it.

“Thank you, Luffy.”

Before she could stop herself, she crashed into him with the biggest hug she’d ever given anyone in her life. Luffy let out a surprised “oof!” as she tackled him. She buried her face in his shoulder and mumbled out the three words that had been trapped inside her ribcage for months.

You saved me.”

She hoped he didn’t hear her.

Luffy laughed, wrapping his arms around her in return. He didn’t say anything back, to her relief.

“Ready to go back to sleep?” His hand traced her spine. When she didn’t answer, he poked her cheek. “Or we could get snacks?”

Nami laughed, a small one but a true one, and finally pulled away.

“One snack, and then we’ll sleep.”

Luffy beamed.

She followed him onto the deck, crossing paths with Chopper as he climbed down from the ladder. He sleepily waved to them without a second glance.

Nami worried her lip. Had Sanji told everyone, then?

She guessed it didn’t matter.

After telling Luffy the truth about her past, she felt lighter. Lighter than she had in years. That Makino had been right; it was better to just get it all out there.

They reached the kitchen, Luffy a few feet ahead of her. He wasn’t touching her, and her hand itched for the warmth of his palm. She had really gotten accustomed to the comfort, it seemed.

At least while no one could see.

“Ah hah!”

Luffy pulled out a small container of ribs. He held it up with a grin. “There’s meat!”

Nami rolled her eyes.

“Sanji will definitely notice if those ribs are gone.”

Luffy smirked.

“Just tell him you ate ‘em.” He had already cracked open the container and taken his first bite. “He never gets mad at you.”

If there was petulance in his voice, Nami decided not to comment on it.

Instead, she sighed and delicately picked out a meaty rib for herself. The barbecue sauce was delicious.

After eating their fill (and then some, on Luffy’s part), they washed up and headed back to her room.

Luffy moved to take his seat by the bed, but Nami hesitated. “It’s…uncomfortable for you, isn’t it?”

Luffy shrugged.

Nami twisted her lips.

“You can sleep here, instead.” She crawled onto the bed, opening the blanket for him to join her. She even shuffled over to the side to make room. A great show of generosity, if she said so herself.

Luffy just stared.

“What?”

“I-I don’t have any berri!” He blurted out. She couldn’t be sure in the dark, but she thought there was a slight twinge of red to his cheeks. She snorted.

“I’m not gonna charge you, idiot.”

Luffy relaxed. “Oh, okay.”

He slid into bed beside her, still in his t-shirt and jeans. There was a good deal of space between them, Luffy on his back and her on her side, turned away from him.

She tried to sleep.

Really, she did.

But the lack of contact made her ache. She felt cold without it.

Blindly, she reached back for Luffy’s hand. She scrabbled across his hip, his stomach, before finally landing on his wrist. His arms were resting on his abdomen. She unceremoniously pulled his hand into hers, tugging him closer.

“Nami?!”

She realized a little too late that she had grabbed his opposite wrist, which meant that she had pulled his whole body toward her, now pressed flush against her back. She froze.

“…Nami?”

Luffy repeated quietly, his arm now around her waist. His chest was against her back, his legs tucked into hers. How had this position gotten so intimate?!

She could feel his warm breath on her neck, how every muscle in his body was tense. He felt so strong, so solid behind her. She wanted him to hold her and never let go. So she mumbled the most embarrassing word she could think of into the pillow:

“Stay.”

Luffy’s breath caught, before he relaxed. His arm curled around her, his knees poking the backs of hers. She still had his hand tucked into her chest. Warm and real and his. She was his.

Luffy’s voice cut into that dangerous thought, “I thought you didn’t want cuddles?”

Nami laughed.

She almost missed how Luffy’s hold tightened around her at the sound. She shook her head. “I don’t want any from Sanji. I—,” she stopped herself. I want you. She couldn’t say it.

Luffy hesitated, and she hoped he would drop it, but his warm voice came again. “So…it’s okay if it’s me?”

Her heart nearly beat out of her chest.

“…Yes.”

She could hear his smile as he said, “That’s okay with me.”

He relaxed into her, warm and rubbery and surprisingly soft, and drifted to sleep. Eventually, her racing heart slowed enough to let her fall asleep, too.

***

Morning came, and Luffy was still wrapped around her. Snoring loudly in her ear. Nami groaned. She was sweaty from his body heat, trapped between him and the blankets. She shifted, trying to get some space.

Luffy grumbled in his sleep, tightening his hold around her. Nami pretended like that didn’t send a rush of heat from her head to her toes, and reached behind to shove him off her.

“Wha—Nami?”

His voice was scratchy with sleep. Nami shuffled away from him.

“You’re hot,” she complained.

“Hot?”

There was enough confusion in his voice to make her turn over her shoulder. He was staring dumbfounded at her, eyes dark and unsure. This time there was definitely red on his cheeks.

Realization dawned on her.

“Temperature! You’re too warm!” She raced to correct herself, her own face heating. Luffy paused, lips parted, before something settled behind his eyes.

He grabbed her by the waist and yanked her back against him.

“Luffy!”

He buried his face in her neck. “It’s okay,” he mumbled, breath hot against her skin, “If you meant it the other way.”

Nami stilled.

Let him hold her.

Eventually, she melted.

“…Fine.”

She couldn’t believe she was saying this, but:

“You…kinda, maybe…are a little bit. Hot.”

Luffy squeezed her around the middle.

“Yeah?”

She pouted.

“I said maybe.”

Luffy chuckled anyway, nosing his way into her hair. “You smell good,” he murmured. “Like citrus.”

Her face (and the rest of her) heated to a boiling point. “Luffy…,” she complained. She couldn’t take much more of this. His strong body pressed to hers, his rubber arm around her, his nose in her hair…it was all too much.

“It’s okay,” his voice was softer, smoother than she’d ever heard it, “I think you’re kinda, maybe, a little bit hot, too.” He smirked against her neck. She elbowed him in the ribs.

“Ow!”

“Bastard,” she muttered. But she grabbed his hand and tucked it into her chest, anyway. Her personal teddy bear. Luffy snickered.

“Nami likes me.”

She ground her face into the pillow. “So what if I do?”

Luffy stroked her knuckles yet again. “Kiss me.”

She turned around, eyes wide. He was gazing down at her, a soft smile on his boyish face. His scar crinkled at the edges. She let her eyes dip down to his lips, suddenly very aware of how soft they looked. She swallowed.

“I’ve never done it before,” she admitted with heated cheeks. Luffy hummed.

“Me neither.”

She closed the distance.

She hoped he understood the silent confession, it’s okay if it’s you, as her lips moved against his. They were soft, plush, and warm. He was always so warm.

Their kiss was quiet and clumsy, lips parting and meeting with experimental curiosity. Every brush of his lips sent sparks through her, lighting up every nerve ending. She tentatively poked her tongue along his bottom lip, and he sighed as he opened his mouth. She slipped her tongue inside, exploring. He tasted like stale barbecue sauce, but she didn’t mind. She probably tasted the same.

Besides, he tasted good, too.

“Luffy…,” she murmured, hand coming up to rest on his cheek. He licked his way into her mouth next, a little more forcefully than she had done. He slid his tongue against hers, moaning at the sensation. She shivered at the sound.

“Luffy,” she breathed again.

He tightened his arms around her waist. “M’right here,” he pecked her lips. Then the corner of her mouth, then her cheek. Forehead, chin, jaw. He worked his mouth down her neck, tongue darting out to taste her. He moaned again, and she couldn’t help the answering sound that escaped her.

His hand dipped beneath her shirt, stroking her waist. “You’re soft,” he murmured against the hollow of her throat. He kissed her there, once.

Her hand found its way to his hair, winding into the dark locks. Her breath was coming short and fast as her body heated up with sensation.

“Don’t stop,” she whispered.

Luffy reached up for her lips again. He kissed her as his hand explored, sliding up her ribcage to cautiously cup her breast. He groaned against her mouth.

Really soft.”

She whimpered, having never felt this way before. Luffy unwound her tightest knots, ones she had woven to protect herself, and now she was left bare before him.

He stroked his thumb over her nipple, and she gasped. His lips parted against hers.

“Like that?”

“Mhmm,” she sighed, burying her other hand in his hair. She couldn’t get enough of it. She didn’t even mind the grease at his roots.

Luffy played with her breast, squeezing and kneading and flicking her nipple every so often. She squirmed against him, wanting more, needing more.

“More,” she commanded, sitting up to straddle him. Throwing caution to the wind, she pulled her top off over her head and tossed it to the floor.

Luffy stared up at her in awe.

“So pretty,” he whispered.

His hands that she loved so much dragged up her stomach to her chest, playing with both her breasts, now. He cupped them, jiggled them, grinned as he tested their weight in his hands. Her breathing quickened, and before she could stop herself she ground her hips into his.

Luffy hissed, eyes squeezing shut.

“Fuck, that feels good,” he managed out. His voice was hoarse. The timbre of it shook her to her core. She did that. Made him sound like that. She felt greedy for more.

She leaned down to kiss him again, grinding her hips against his crotch. She could feel him harden in his shorts, and a thrill rushed through her. What other sounds could she get him to make?

They kissed some more, time slipping past them as lips and tongues collided. She rolled her hips, grinding her clit against his clothed dick. Fuck, he felt big.

They barely noticed the sounds of their crew awakening, the normal business of the morning starting on the rest of the ship. They barely noticed the calls of their names, drifting through her cabin walls.

Someone knocked on the door.

Nami gasped, shooting straight up, but Luffy stretched his arm directly to the door, and clicked the lock shut.

Sanji called through, “You’re gonna miss breakfast, rubber brain!”

“Busy!” Luffy shouted back. Nami hid her face in her hands. Luffy snickered, sitting up with her. He pried her arms apart, and kissed her lips. “I wanna eat you, instead.”

With that, he flipped her backward until her head hit the foot of the mattress. He kneeled over her, tugging her pajama shorts down before she could protest.

Working quickly, he laid down flat on his stomach and fit his face between her thighs. She felt the hot, wet stripe of his tongue along her pussy, and her back arched. A strangled moan left her lips as her hands found their way to his hair again. She pulsed her hips against his face, and Luffy let out an appreciative “mhm!” as he ate her out.

His tongue worked fast and messy, tearing her apart with each flick and swirl. At some point he thrust it inside her, and she gasped as she felt him stretch it along her walls. This felt nothing like when she did it on her own. She didn’t think she could ever go without it, now.

Luffy slurped and made out with her clit, moaning shamelessly as he did.

“Shut up,” she hissed, “Someone will hear you!”

“Don’t care!”

He pushed his tongue back inside her, and watched with hungry eyes as she came undone.

Fluttering in and out, she experienced her first orgasm gifted by someone else. Luffy. Her Luffy.

“No one else,” she breathed, chest heaving as she recovered, “Just me.”

“No one else for you, either,” he countered immediately, staring up at her between her legs. She nodded.

“Deal.”

Luffy beamed, and sat up to wipe his face. “Can I fuck you?”

Nami burned.

“Yes.”

Obviously.

Luffy ripped his shirt off, throwing it aside without a care in the world. She could hear the chatter of their crew outside her door, but it didn’t matter. The world was just between them two. This hot bliss she never knew existed. Luffy kissed her again.

His shorts were gone, too.

He laid her down, his hips between her thighs. She felt the tip of him poking her, and gasped at the thickness. Luffy answered her silent question.

“It’ll fit,” he whispered, kissing her neck. And then, “I’ll go slow.”

He eased inside her.

The stretch was painful for a moment, before her whole body melted into liquid gold and she saw stars and there was nothing but Luffy, Luffy, Luffy…

“Fuck, baby, you’re so tight,” he groaned, and the words made her pussy clench around him. He let out a strangled laugh, and started to move. It was heaven.

His cock plunged deeper inside her, massaging her walls as he panted and kissed her neck. “So good,” he praised her, “Do I—ah—feel good?”

She wrapped her legs around his waist.

“Go faster.”

Luffy huffed another laugh and followed her order. She moaned out as his hips snapped against her. The sound of their skin slapping together filled her bedroom, and she was sure someone would hear.

“Don’t worry about them,” Luffy must have read her mind, “It’s our ship, isn’t it?” He sped up even more. “Gonna make you cum again,” he promised. “You can do that for me, can’t you? You’re so good, Nami. So good and so tight!”

She whimpered, cresting over another wave of pleasure. She’d never cum twice in a row before.

“Luffy, Luffy!” She cried out, arms wrapped around his neck.

“That’s it, cum on my cock,” he growled in her ear. His breath was hot and wet, puffing her cropped hair away from her face. “So beautiful,” he shoved his cock deeper, “So pretty, gonna cum,” he panted, lifting off her so he could pull out. He jerked himself off over her stomach, cumming with a sharp cry as his orgasm shot across her skin. It was hot and white and sticky. Kinda gross, but kinda hot.

She laughed.

“What’s so funny?” He managed out, collapsing back on his heels. She shook her head, swiping a finger through his cum. She gave it an experimental lick, surprised that it didn’t actually taste that bad.

“You’re hot, is all.”

Luffy grinned.

“Not just kinda maybe a little bit hot?”

She groaned, and hid her face. Luffy laughed before prying her hands away once again. He kissed her nose.

“You’re mine, okay?”

His face was flushed, hair sticking to his forehead with sweat. He was still breathing hard, recovering from his high. His slender torso was built with muscle, something she’d never seen before. She traced her fingers down his abs. “You’re strong.”

He frowned.

“And you’re mine,” he said again. Caught her hand and placed it on his chest, over his heart. She could feel the rapid beating. The rhythm matched hers.

“Yours, captain.”

He stared at her long and hard, eyes brilliant dark in the late morning light. Then he nodded once, and let go of her hand. He looked around the room, before stretching an arm to grab something off the floor. It was her discarded pair of panties, lacy and blue. He unceremoniously wiped away the mess on her stomach.

“Hey!” She complained, “Those are my favorite!”

He grinned, sly. “Did you wear ‘em for me?”

She turned her head, face burning. “No.”

“Liar.”

She sat up so she could shove him away. He just laughed and let himself get shoved. He always let her do whatever she wanted to him.

“Hungry?” She asked, standing up only for her legs to shake and give out. “Holy fuck!” She gasped as she fell backward onto the bed.

Luffy laughed, loud and bright, as he caught her around the waist. “Wobbly?” He teased her, nose in her hair. She swatted him away.

“I’m fine!”

She stood up again, unsteady, before wobbling her way to the dresser. “Shut up,” she grumbled before Luffy could tease her anymore.

“I didn’t say anything!”

“You were thinking it!”

Luffy snickered but let it slide. The bed shifted as he stood up to follow her. He pressed his chest to her back, hooking his chin over her shoulder. “That one,” he murmured, reaching from behind her to pick up a slinky red tank top. She arched an eyebrow.

“Didn’t think you cared about stuff like that.”

He bit her shoulder. “I care when it’s you.”

She huffed, hot, and threw the top over her head. It plunged below her cleavage, with ribbony butterfly sleeves. She paired it with a gold necklace from her jewelry stand, the one with a flat compass pendant hanging in the center. Luffy had stepped away from her to pull his own scattered clothes back on. She took a moment to appreciate his muscular form before it was hidden behind cotton and denim again. She sighed and turned back to pick out a skirt.

They had indeed missed breakfast.
